ABAP Exercises in SAP Netweaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version

Hello,
I just finished the ABAP academy, courses TAW10 and TAW12.
I want to do some exercises for studying to the certification test, but the exercises in the books require ABAP objects (such as tables, structures, data elements, templates and so on) that does not exist in the "SAP Netweaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version", that I have installed.
Is it possible to get those objects somewhere?
PS.: My CITRIX access is not available anymore!

so ... i don't understand why ... I retry to make th einstallation on the first Windows and i've always the same error but not at the same place. It stops between 33 and 35% of the installation during the check of the package ... very strange.
Have you made the installation with the SP3 or do you using the Netweqver with that ? Becquse my problem comes during the installation. I'll try to make the upgrade of the Windows to control the good working of the system (i think there is no problem with that .... but in the doubt )

ABAP exercises Help

Hi guys.
I am a BW guy trying to get my feet wet in this ABAP world.
I have access to R/3 IDES system and I need your help if someone have exercises on basic ABAP probgramming. I have access to online version of the book "learn abap in 21 days" but I cannot follow the books exercises because there are a lot of tables that are not in my system, i,e you have to have the CD that came with the book in order to be able to follow the exercises properly.
If anyone has something like a tutorial which can be used on any std IDES system please help me with that or with any other alternative learning material.

ABAP programming exercise

Hi guys,
Can somebody shed light on this exercise how to approach,design and code.
ABAP Exercise
A customer wishes to collect data about Assets stored in various geographically diverse locations. The data to be collected about each Asset will vary, depending on the type of that Asset. Many users will collect this information, and sometimes more than one user will collect information about the same asset at the same time. This information will eventually be updated into the Assets in ECC6.0 backend system.
Create a system for ECC that will allow: a) collection of different data for different Asset types; b) update of same asset by multiple users; c) posting of collected data to the ECC Assets. You can make your own custom (u201CZu201D) tables and functions/interfaces, use standard tables/functions/interfaces, or any combination of custom+standard to achieve the results. Explain the reasoning for your architectural/design decisions, any limitations it has, and any issues or pitfalls that you find. In case no R/3 system is available please write up the interface and table design, as well as program flow(s), etc.

Real time in webdynpro ABAP?

Hello Frends,
I am new to webdynpro fr ABAP. I have been working from the past 2 yrs on ABAP R/3. Recently I have been trained on OOPS, BSP and Webdynpro fr ABAP fr a CRM project. Before I get in to the project, i just wanted to know, how and what exactly I need to do in real time. How the requirement comes for a webdynpro and how different is it from R/3. If I can get the information more on what will be done in real time, would be appreciated.

    As I remember, it can be download in sap site, but now I can't find.
2. I downloaded netweaver 7.1 trial, but it has no functionality and can not use sap gui.
    Which free or trial product can use gui and creating WebService?

You need to download from Service market place. that require SMP ID with download authorization

Hi,
In SAP NetWeaver 7.0 ABAP Trial Version there is a report to generate standard entries in the database tables that belong to the flight data model.
I don´t know if all objects are there, but it´s a start.
Run SE80 and chose Program, locate and run the SAPBC_DATA_GENERATOR report, selecting Standard Data Record on the first part.
I am newbie on ABAP too. So, I don´t know if this can solve 100% of your problem.

Hi,
Just give an entry in infotype 8, 14 or 15 for previous month and run the payroll than retro will run, than compare results using wage type reporter.
When you run the payroll give the sandard SAP Remuneration and compare the results in the SAP payslip and payslip you have developed.
If you have developed payslip using PE51 than the retro amounts are picked authomatically.

Practice exercises for ABAP

i have been learning abap for almost 2 months now and I have been doing a lot of in book tutorials. I was wondering are if there were any resources or study flow that needs to be followed. Like in java the persons first program is a hello world print statement , which is followed by loops , data structures, oops , etc. and also there are boat loads of practice exercises on the web . I was just wondering if such a thing or place exists on the web for abap. As I am planning to write the taw10 certification , I just wanted to make sure I well equipped for the exam and future interviews .

Impact of Installing BI Java on an ABAP only BI 7.0 system

Afternoon Everyone,
I'm looking to answer a couple of questions around installation of BI Java on an ABAP only BI 7.0 system.
Firstly, I am looking for some guidelines around common problems we would expect to see if a BI java stack is implemented on a BI 7.0 system that is currently ABAP only. I would like to be able to gauge the impact of any such exercise, so we can translate that into extra project effort (both technically and functionally).
Secondly, I am looking for suggestions around the areas where the post Java install regression testing should be focused so we can ensure the existing functionality of the system is unaffected by the install & activation of the BI Java stack.
Id be really grateful for any input you would be able to provide around these questions!

In this exercise, you will use a template to create a program that receives a single data record from the database table SFLIGHT in form of a character string. The program will split the this character string into its components and display it formatted in a list.
Because the focus of this exercise is not on the transfer of data as a character string, we will use a function module that will provide us with the required database. This will simulate actual cases, such as data transfer from an external system.

Template: SAPBC401_DTOT_SPLIT_STRING
Model solution: SAPBC401_DTOS_SPLIT_STRING
is your two-digit group number
1-1 Copy the program, SAPBC401_DTOT_SPLIT_STRING and give it the new name ZBC401_##_SPLIT_STRING.
1-2 Familiarize yourself with the main body of the program. Pay special attention to the content of the data object datastring after the function module call. Use the Debugger to do this, and/or display the character string in a list. (The function module itself is here seen as a black box. For this exercise, it is not necessary to understand its construction.)
1-3 To be able to split the character string into its components you must first remove the ## characters. Remove the two leading separators from the character string first. Then copy the initial part up to the closing separators to the auxiliary variable set_string. For this, set_string has to be defined appropriately.
1-4 Now use the separators to split the contents of the auxiliary variable set_string into the structure wa_flight_c. The latter is typed with the local program structure type st_flight_c. You still have to comment out the components of this structure type and assign them an appropriate type.
1-5 As a test, display the fields of the structure, wa_flight_c in a list.
1-6 In the list displayed in exercise 1-5, you should have observed that some of the fields were displayed without formatting u2013 for example, the PRICE field. Your next step is to change this.
To do this, convert the data you have extracted by copying it to data objects with suitable types. Also, not all components of wa_flight_c are to be displayed.
For this purpose, a structure wa_flight has already been defined. It is typed with the structure type st_flight. You must comment out the components of st_flight and find appropriate types for these components for the formatting. Then copy the identically-named components of the character-type structure wa_flight_c to the fields of the structure wa_flight.
Display the contents of the structure wa_flight in a list. Use the appropriate formatting options for the WRITE statement for the fldate and price components.
