Hi Experts,
I'm trying to build a report out of the standard ABAP Function BAPI_AR_ACC_GETOPENITEMS (Function Group: 3007)
I'm able to create the connection on Information Design Tool, and I'm able to add the table to the Data Foundation
When I run the BAPI in SAP Logon, I'm only asked to fill 3 fields (company code, customer and date)
But when I try to make a query on IDT from the selected table (BAPI_AR_ACC_GETOPENITEMS.-EXPORT_CH_LINEITEMS) I'm asked to fill dozens of columns. And almost all of them are mandatory
I was told that this ABAP Function is somehow connected to a structure (sorry, I dont have a lot of experience in SAP ERP), and all those columns belong to that structure.
My question is, if I want to get some data from this ABAP function on IDT, do I have to fill all those mandatory import columns?
Is there a way to do that without filling all of that? I can't understand why if I go througt SE38 in SAP ERP I just have to fill 3 fields, and on IDT I have to fill dozens of mandatory columns.

Hello Jose,
based on the screenshot it looks like those are all input parameters - yes, but perhaps it is not the correct "export" item and you should be using the line item above.
That is something you wanna clarify with the person that knows those ABAP functions.
Also - ABAP Functions are perhaps not the best source for reporting, especially not for IDT.
Perhaps you wanna look at the option to use an classic InfoSet without any parameters

Calling ABAP Function Module in BODS, but not RFC_enabled

Hello Experts
We have an ECC ABAP Function Module takes 5 input parameters and returns Division Name for an Employee and Employee PERNR is one of the input parameters for the Function Module.
I tried adding a function call in the target schema of Query Transform and the output parm passes out as an Output column. But getting an error that ABAP FM is not RFC_enabled. I checked attributes, and it is not RFC_enabled.
So is there way to invoke this FM as part of BODS ABAP Dataflow?. Becuase the code executes on ECC, it does not need to be RFC enabled, I believe. But on the Query Transform, the option "New Function Call" isn't enabled or it is greyed out, I can't select it.
What is the solution to invoke this ABAP FM with enabling RFC on it ?
Please provide me your inputs.

Hi,
Create a custom wrapper FM which is Remote enabled & call the FM DD_DOMA_GET inside your custom Remote FM. Changing the std. FM would be a core code mod. hence above approach would be safe.

I have version 5.7 and every time I opened it I was told that updates are available and to click on the icon to access these. Instead it just took me to the
adobe page with nowhere visible to update. I then sought to download lightroom cc and this is when I could not access the 'develop' section due to reduced
functionality It was apparent that my photos had been put in cc but no way to access them unless I wanted to subscribe.
I have since remedied the problem as my original lightroom 5.7 icon is still available on the desktop and have gone back to that. I do feel that this is a bit
of a rip off and an unnecessary waste of my time though.

Lojack for laptops - if that is the product you purchased and installed, you will need to read the user manual or contact the manufacturer as it is 3rd party. You did file a police report right?

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? Not a lot of details here, but my guess is this isn't working for you because you are wiring in the task to the Active Channels Property and not the actual Channel Name. I have attatched a screenshot of what I believe you are trying to do. The Task has 2 channels in it, so I need to index off one of the channels and wire it into the active channels input of the Channel Property node. Then I can read information about that channel

I want the correct QUERY which fetches details of all the milestones which are not billed as of the given date in PA module in Oracle applications 11i. For your information we are using PA type L.

In order to do this in WebI, you would need to do the following:

1. Create tables in a database to hold the data.
2. Create an application to pull the data out of the CMS using the Query Language.
3. Create a universe to read the data.
4. Create your report(s).

To get this information through the Query Builder, you would have to run a query something like this to get the data for each report:

Select SI_ID, SI_NAME, SI_PARENT_ID 
from CI_INFOOBJECTS 
where SI_KIND = 'Webi' and SI_INSTANCE_OBJECT = 0

You have to build Location based on parent ID values - for each report you would run this query for the returned SI_PARENTID value until SI_PARENTID = 0

Select SI_NAME, SI_PARENT_ID 
from CI_INFOOBJECTS 
where SI_ID = [SI_PARENT_ID value from the previous query.]

To get the recurring schedules, you need to query based on the SI_ID for each report:

Select count(SI_ID) 
from CI_INFOOBJECTS 
where SI_PARENT_ID = [SI_ID value for the report] 
and SI_SCHEDULE_STATUS = 9

Change the Schedule_Status to 1 to get the count of the successful instances.

To get the person who created the schedule, get the SI_OWNERID of the instance and run this query:

where SI_ID = [SI_OWNERID for the schedule.] 

And so on....As you can see, it gets pretty complicated.

You can't just query the CMS database directly because almost all of this information is stored in a proprietary binary format in BLOB fields in the database.

Function Code can not be selected

Dear expert,
Please help me, there is a uploader For MIGO, USer is uploading data using this uploader, Sometimes when user try to upload data, he gets a message on status BAR:
Function cannot be selected, When i Double Click on that Message i Get Following Information:
Message NO: 00255
Diagnosis
You entered an Inactive function code
You can trigger this by:
inputting directly in the OK code field
inputting the fastpath of an inactive menu function
choosing an inactice function key, or even by
choosing enter, if enter has an inactive function
In batch input a function code is included in field BDC_OKCODE of the session, as long as this function Code is not assigned to Enter
As well as activating function codes stastically in the menu painter(Transaction SE41), they can also be deactivated dynamically using the excluding addition with PF-STATUS.
Now one more thing i want to tell you is when user just open MIGO directly and try to enter some data and get back before saving and then Execute uploader then user can upload data without any error,
Kindly tell me what shoul i do to remove this error permanently

There is an error in this uploader, it should not call this command which is not available on that screen. What is this uploader? If it's a custom abap program, you must debug it.

Call ABAP function module from script?

Hi,
I have an ABAP function module, which works fine when I call it in a transformation.
Since I don't need to execute this function for each record but rather for each file I process, I would like to move the call from the DataFlow to a script in the WorkFlow. When I click on the 'functions' button the ABAP FM is available in my SAP Datastore, so I drag and drop it into my script. I also make sure to populate all required variables.
There are no error messages or warning when I check my job definition.
When I execute it, I get the following RFC error:
Function call <xxx ( abcd ) > failed, due to error <150413>: <RFC CallReceive exception <FUNCTION_NOT_FOUND>.>.
Is it just not possible to call an RFC enabled function module in SAP from a script or am I doing something wrong here?

Could you please let me know how I can call an abap function module from a transformation? (from abap xslt program). I know how we can call methods of a class from the transformations, but no idea how we can call function modules. Any suggestions or a sample code snippet towards this will be very useful for me.

I did not implement any user exit/ badi. Dump is saying that my smarform function module does not exist in the se37 library.
I have excuted my form through se38, that time is working fine. When i tried through output type it is going to dump.
