ABAP Practice Interface

Hi.. Our company has signed for the SAP ERP whereas i've been assigned with the ABAP module. I'm gathering some informations through web parellel to the training classes in progress..
May i know, if i can use some ABAP Interface on my local PC to practice it on daily basis.. If so, please note me with the requirements required and the OS.
Pls help me on this as im very new to SAP.

c i will be using abap proxy that is for sure do you have any docs pertaining to that approch . I mean calling a proxy in real time and sending and recieving docs .

SAP certified professional - ABAP system interfaces with SAP netweaver 7.0

Hi,
I have one and half years experience in ABAP. I want to do "SAP CERTIFIED DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL - ABAP SYSTEM INTERFACES WITH SAP NETWEAVER 7.0".
I am currently in U.S and would like to do the certification here. Whom do I need to contact and what are the documents I need to furnish. Please throw some light on the process.

the "Professional"-Certification is very very hard - during my last Certifcation Exam, all candidates with the Pro-Exam failed (I was so glad I chose the normal certification...)
Here's how to book your exam:
Go to [http://www.sap.com/services/education/certification/index.epx|http://www.sap.com/services/education/certification/index.epx] and follow the instructions ("visit the local SAP Education Web site for the country").
Figure out the exam code for your certification. Example: For the US, there is a downloadable list (PDF) of exams available, called "list of the available certification exams".
Schedule the exam according to the rules of your region - here is the link for the US:

I am Atush Rohan, I have done my "SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver 7.0" on 3rd April 2009.
I want to appear for "SAP Certified Development Professional - ABAP System Interfaces with SAP NetWeaver 7.0". I have about 3 and half years or experience in SAP ABAP. And I plan to give this certificate exam in the coming 6 months.
Could you please tell me how i apply for this exam, and whether SAP provides the certificate material for the exam "P_ABAP_SI_70". Waiting for a positive reply.

hi,
actually you can find your sid on your certificate itself ... your sid will start with SXX .. ok now along with this you will receive an envelope in which there would be an letter where detalis regarding your sid and password for login access in sap market place will be stated... so you can login with that in server market place.... usually you get this along with the certificate and is being provided by the centres authority... now if you have not received it so you need to contact your centre and tell them to give it to you... if they dont barged then you can ask them for the concern guy's email .... this guy is the one who receives all the documents relating with your certificate .. now this guy is someone from sap labs banglore ... also if you have not received your id card so you can mail him or tell your centre authority in that case now usually the centre guys take the matters lightly ...
ok and as far as your certification exams goes i did search the pearson website they really dont have that professional certification for the abap guys but they do have one for functionals and some other....
ok now you need to approach yout nearest certification centre in that case and simply ask them that you need to appear for level 2 certification also you can contact the sap labs banglore in that case but i know that they are not responding .....
so in that matter you tell your centre that you need to schedule the certification they will charge you the certification amount and then will schedule the date..... yes they can do that.

I use IDeveloper 11g 11.1.1.3.0, ADF Faces
I have got a task to create a web interface for editing documents.
Every document have a head and a specification.
Head have a lot of field, and every row in a specification have a lot of fields also.
There are few PL/SQL procedures I need call to save document in the database, and I need to call them in the single transaction for it.
So, I need to fill up all document and only after that save it to the database.
For fill up some of fields I need to use component like List of Values (with autoSuggestBehavior and with selecting value from the list).
There is next question: what is the best practice to develop interface like this?
I had some troubles when I tried to use ADF BC.
May be, there are tutorials?
Will be very thankful for any advices or links.

Interactive Form with ABAP DDIC Interface

Hi,
I'm new on adobe interactive forms and I have some problems. I have a form with a abap dictionary based interface.
When I test my web dynpro application with the interactive form, it is not interactive. :-P
And yes the property "enabled" of the UI-Element is marked.
First I watched an e-Learning an build a web dynpro application with a from which has a interface based on xml.
I generated the inteface of the form from my context. It works fine.
But with a interface based on xml I dont't know how I can get a table on my PDF in the Adobe Lifecycle Designer.
So I searched snd n the forum and found a tutorial (InteractiveForm_and_Dynamic_Tables). Like in this tutorial I created a interface based on ABAP Dictionary and a form with a table. Then I choose this form on my UI-Element as templateSource and generate the context from the interface. But as i mentioned above, now the PDF isn't interactive.
Any idea?

You can create Interactive form with ABAP dictionay based interface. You need to add following code in method "WDDOMODIFYVIEW" of your view.
DATA: LR_INTERACTIVE_FORM TYPE REF TO CL_WD_INTERACTIVE_FORM,
LR_METHOD_HANDLER TYPE REF TO IF_WD_IACTIVE_FORM_METHOD_HNDL.
CHECK FIRST_TIME = ABAP_TRUE.
LR_INTERACTIVE_FORM ?= VIEW->GET_ELEMENT( 'TEST' ).
LR_METHOD_HANDLER ?= LR_INTERACTIVE_FORM->_METHOD_HANDLER.
LR_METHOD_HANDLER->SET_LEGACY_EDITING_ENABLED( ABAP_TRUE ).

Error "SLD_NO_OWN_BS" while executing ABAP Proxy Interface

I am working on ABAP PROXY (INBOUND) Interface in which data from FTP is getting inserted into a ztable in SAP ECC 6.0.
While executing the interface, file is getting picked from source location & following error is received in SXMB_MONI:

Prob creating ABAP Proxy-Interface use external and interna msg definition

I've created a service interface using external definition (message type for request and response), imported via WSDL file. However, while creating ABAP proxy in SPROXY, it gave the error message "Interface uses external and internal message definition". I searched through the forum, the questions were raised but no definite answer was found. Is it not possible to generate a proxy if there is any external definition used?
Details of the error message:
Message no. SPRX122
Diagnosis
In a message interface you can use messages from different sources:
Message types and fault message types edited in the Enterprise Services Repository
Messages imported into the Enterprise Services Repository (external definitions, RFC, IDoc)
In the current message interface, message types from different sources have been used. Since messages from these different sources must be handled differently during proxy generation, such a mixture of messages within a message interface is not possible.
System Response
The interface cannot be generated.
Procedure
Change the interface definition accordingly in the Enterprise Services Repository.
p/s: My external definition is actually derived from a ABAP FM web service. The reason why i used external definition is that i try to avoid the tedious steps of hard-coding all the data types for the request and response message types.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

For technical reasons, proxy generation and the respective editors in the Integration Builder do not support the entire language range of XML schema and WSDL. For an overview of which language elements are supported, see the Excel spreadsheet in the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/xi ® Media Library ® Documentation: SAP XI 3.0 (SP11) u2013 Supported XML Schema and WSDL (EN).
I couldnt find the above document in the service market place. Any hint to find it?

ABAP User Interface problem

My Screen consist of 3 Input/Output Field and a Radio button group which consist of 8 radio button.
Problem 1:
When select a radio button, 2 of the Input/Output Field data that was define previously was clear and 1 of the Input/Output Field data still remain.
Problem 2:
Data was enter in the 3 Input/Output Field. When i submit, the program will validate the 1st Input/Output Field. When it validate, the 2 of the Input/Output Field data was clear off.
How to prevent the data being clear off?

Hi Ray,
 The issue seems to be that there is no varaible decalred in your top include to hold the values of the screen variables.
Concept is that on any user actio like an 'Enter' etc causes the flow logic ( PBO & PAI ) to be executed. So during these first the system transfers the screen field values to the available variables ( Only if it finds any .. so declare variables in Top Include with same name.)
Later during PBO execution it transfers the values back from variables in Top include ( Local variables ) to the screen field.
On User Action :
PAI Executed => Screen Values --> Local Var.
then
PBO Executed => Local Var --> Screen Values.
This is the flow concept.

Best Practice Interface Tag or Class Method

Just wondering which would win out in terms of efficiency, a tagging interface (say for e.g. "Containable") and then calling:
if (obj instanceof Containable)or a method in the relevant subclass (which extends throughout a tree of other classes as you'd expect) such as:
obj.isContainable()The interface would seem to win out in terms of ease of typing, but will it be more efficient in terms of performance?

Transport ABAP and interface in 4.5

I noticed that sometimes, when I create a report and it's screens, the transport does not capture everything.
I want to have in one TP the ABAP created in SE38 and the screens and text filelds created in SE80
How can I do that?

Go to transaction SE80 and choose from the context menu (of your program object) the function "Other Functions" -> "Write Transport Request entry". This should create all required transport objects for the transport request. If your dynpros are still missing repeat the step described above for the missing (sub-)objects.
