  • ABAP Proxy configuration Error (Not able to connect R/3  to IB )

    Hello All...
I am trying to configure the connection from R/3 to XI using the ABAP proxy generation. For that I have followed the steps given in the below blog
    /people/vijaya.kumari2/blog/2006/01/26/how-do-you-activate-abap-proxies
We created all the credentials required for the XI and R/3 side configuration and its working fine individually when we have tested for the connection and also assigning this at SXMB_ADM,but in integration engine configuration, when I am trying with the URL <b>dest://<RFC destination(http</b>).Its giving error and in sproxy at R/3 its giving that no integration engine is connected to Business system.
Whats worng with my configuration. How can I resolve this.
    I am having R/3 system WAS 6.40

    Hi,
<i>But when I am giving the path prefix as you have specified I am getting an Error Query String Not Allowed.</i>
I think thats the warning not error. Just press enter again and go to the logon detail Tab and give the userid password
<i>And how can give the SLD details using the SLDAPICUST.</i>
go to transaction SLDAPICUST and give the following details:
Alias name :any name u want
    Prim: check this box
Hostanme: give the Hostname where your SLD (XI server name if you are using the XI SLD)
    PORT: Java Port
    UserId/Password: for XIAPPLUSER
I think you are missing on the configuration. I think its better if you go through the weblog again.

  • ABAP Proxy configuration

    Hi,
We have found from one of the blog that following are the steps for configuring the ABAP PROXY.
1.Create HTTP connection in the business system.
2.Configuration Business system as local Integration Engine.
3.Connection between Business System and System Landscape Directory
4.Maintaining the SAP J2EE Connection Parameters for LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI in SAP J2EE engine
As per our understanding the business is the source system i.e., SAP R/3 system.
Can any provide us the documentation on these steps. We need a basic understanding of the above steps.

    Hi,
I´m configuring an ABAP proxy according to the SDN Blog:
The problem is when I create an HTTP connection with the type H, I can not enter the Path Prefix: /sap/XI/engine/?type=entry.

  • How to configure systems for ABAP Proxy use

Can somebody please point me to the documentation regarding the configuration settings for the use of ABAP proxies, on both the XI and client sides? I have performed readiness checks as specified by SAP, the ABAP Proxy tests all pass, yet when I write a program with a proxy, the message does not appear in the integration engine monitor.
I think I have missed something in configuration settings, but don't know for sure. hence the request.

  • SOAP error in synchronous scenario for ABAP Proxy with Oracle D/B

    Dear Experts,
I am working in Sender ABAP Proxy <====>SAP PI 7.31 JAVA only <====> Oracle Database. My proxy configuration are working successfully.

    Adapter Engine as Central Engine
When I am testing from ECC at Tx SPROXY, I am receiving following error.

    Dear Indrajit,
Appreciate your inputs.. Yes I have configured all the ABAP proxy configurations and there no question of missing any thing as Tx SLDCHECK in ECC is working perfectly fine.
But still to go, some of the queries needs more input.
1.In ID, i have created a Sender SOAP communication channel with listed details.
    Transport Protocol as HTTP
    Message Protocol as XI 3.0
    Adapter Engine as Central Engine
Is there any parameters which I may be missing from Module tab of Synchronous SOAP Cc ?
    2. In the Cc monitoring, the JDBC receiver status shows "Database operation successfully completed" but I could not find any response data from database. The Message monitoring should have 2 messages for 1 trigger, but I could find only 1 message by SOAP only?
Sorry to bother experts...Please answer in sequence...

  • ABAP Proxy to SOAP - Logon to Web Application Server Required

    Hello XI Experts,
I have set up an ABAP Proxy->SOAP example in my IDES system. Everything is working correctly.

Clarifications on How to Activate ABAP Proxies?
First verify if your proxy is properly communicating with XI Integration server. Goto SPROXy transaction and see if the replica of IR is available.
Then just refresh and reactivate the proxy that you are calling.

Hi there, Iu2019ve been struggling with abap proxies the last couple of daysu2026 I want to create a program that executes the proxy and send thru some data via an internal table. • ABAP Proxy sender possible in integrated configuration AAE with PI 7.11

    Hi guys,
    we are running PI 7.11.
We have serveral scenarios where the senderis an ABAP proxy and the receiver is reached by a jave adapter.
With Ehp1 the SOAP adapter offers the possibilty to chose XI 3.0 as message protocol.
We use this feature already in scenarios where ABAP proxy is receiver.
But is it also possible to use it at sender side?
    Kind regards
    Jochen

    Hi Volker,
    thanks for your help.
You could also use ABAP proxy at sender side during integrated configuration.
Prerequisite is to implement SAP note  1349125 and use following url for acessing the PI from SAP backends.
    http://<host>:<port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?ximessage=true
With this URL you could ABAP proxies in normal scenarios where integration server is involved as well as  in integrated configurations.
    Kind regards
    Jochen

  • Access/set dynamic configuration in client/server abap proxy

    Hi,
I have 2 question regarding reading/setting dynamic configuration in ABAP proxies:
    1) Is it possible to set dynamic configuration objects in a server abap proxy (SAP --> XI)?
When looking at the class CL_PROXY_FRAMEWORK is looks as if it is possible. This class has en attribute IF_XMS_MAIN~DY which is a reference to the class CL_XMS_MSGHDR30_DYNAMIC.
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to try and access the dynamic configuration objects via this class or if I'm supposed to use the GET_PROTOCOL method in some manner as suggested by:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/51/d5cd16235e4643ae8ec92395c4ad97/frameset.htm
Above link is for client proxies not server, and I've been unable to find any documentation on this for server proxies.
    2) The same question goes for server proxies (XI --> SAP), though now I would like to set some dynamic configuration data.
This I believe should be done using get_protocol( if_wsprotocol=>ws_header ) as indicated by before mentioned link.
However in both cases I'm not sure of if it is indeed possible and which road to choose for sure. So a hint or 2 would be really nice.
    Best Regards,
    Daniel
ps. maybe I should just mention that I am pretty new to the ABAP world, so bear with me.

The link that you gave does give you an example for both server and client proxies:
Accessing Protocol Classes for Client Proxies
In client proxies, you access the protocol class by using the GET_PROTOCOL method. Below is an example for the IF_WSPROTOCOL_PAYLOAD protocol:
    DATA:
    lo_clientProxy      TYPE REF TO co_clientProxy,
    lo_payload_protocol TYPE REF TO if_wsprotocol_payload
    lo_payload          TYPE REF TO if_ws_payload.
    CREATE OBJECT lo_clientProxy.
Get Protocol Class Using Method GET_PROTOCOL
    lo_payload_protocol ?=
           lo_clientProxy->get_protocol( if_wsprotocol=>payload ).
    CALL METHOD lo_clientProxy->execute_synchronous
                EXPORTING output  = ls_request
                IMPORTING input   = ls_response.
    Use Protocol Methods
    lo_payload = lo_payload->get_sent_request_payload( ).
Accessing Protocol Classes for Server Proxies (XI Only)
Within the implementation of a server proxy, you get the protocol class by using the CL_PROXY_ACCESS=>GET_SERVER_CONTEXT( ) method:
DATA:  lo_server_context   TYPE REF TO if_ws_server_context,
           lo_payload_protocol TYPE REF TO if_wsprotocol_payload.
    lo_server_context   = cl_proxy_access=>get_server_context( ).
    lo_payload_protocol =
         lo_server_context->get_protocol( if_wsprotocol=>payload ).

  • Configure ABAP Proxy scenario in PI7.3

    Hello Experts,
Can someone please let me know if we have somewhere step by step procedure to configure an ABAP Proxy scenario in PI7.3, I couldn't find How-to guide related to this on SDN.
    Thanks a lot.
    Best Regards,
    Shweta

I dont know abt your installation whether you have java stack alone or both java stack and abap stack.
    AAE or local processing:
You can do using soap adapter as transport protocol and message protocol as XI for proxy. This way you can use local processing using AAE.  I dont see documents in SDN as of now. But it is pretty simple. Just follow the steps what I mentioned.
    Classical processing or abap engine:
Still the same as previous versions.

  • Prerequisites to configuration for ABAP Proxy -???

My scenario is file->XI->R/3(abap server proxy).
Xi and R/3 are 2 seperate business systems
-Abap server proxy created on R/3 business system. R/3 client 550
    -Xi client 400.
-SLD is common for both XI and R/3
<b>My question is in reference to the below message thread:</b>
<b>1.I  understand all the below configuartaion has to be done on R/3 business system, tell me am I correct</b>
<b>2. are these configuartion needed for <u>client proxy as well as server proxy</u> also?</b>
    HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK
The prerequisites to configuration for ABAP Proxy include: (landscape dependent)
    1. The business systems should be based on SAP Web AS 6.20 and SAP Web AS 6.20 kernel patch level above 1253
    2. You have installed the XI Add-On in each of these business systems as described in the Installation Guide SAP Exchange Infrastructure 3.0
    3. The business systems and your central Integration Server are maintained in the System Landscape Directory (SLD).
Configuration required on the Business System:
    1. Create HTTP connection in the business system.
    Configuration Details:
    Technical Setting:
    1. Following Inputs are required for technical setting
    1 Connection Type: H
    2 Target Host: System name
3 Service Number: HTTP Port name
    4 Path Prefix: /sap/XI/engine/?type=entry
    Logon Security
On the Logon/Security tab page, enter the following logon data:
1 User: XIAPPLUSER (for example); this user should represent the sending business system (see also the SAP XI Security Guide under Service Users for Message Exchange).
2 Password: the password you have specified for this user
3 Client: SAP XI Integration server
    4 Language: Language required
    2. Configuration Business system as local Integration Engine.
    1. Goto Transaction SXMB_ADM
    2. Choose Edit --> Change Global Configuration Data.
    3. Select Role of Business System: Application system
    4. Corresponding Integration server: dest://<HTTPDESTINATION>. Here <HTTPDESTINATION> SAPISU_XID created in step 1. Dest://SAPISU_XID.
    5. Under Specific Configuration Data you can specify additional configuration data
1.Select the relevant category under Specific Configuration Data.
    2.Choose Change Specific Configuration Data.
For ABAP Proxies, Add the following configuration:
    1.Category RUNTIME
    2.Parameters: IS_URL
    3.Current Value: dest://SAPISU_XID
    Configuration of the Integration Engine
    3. Connection between Business System and System Landscape Directory
    1. Create RFC destination (TCP/IP) LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI for the SLD connection.
1.Execute transaction SM59 in the business system.
    2.Choose Create.
    3.Enter at least the following:
    1.RFC Destination: LCRSAPRFC
    2.Connection Type: T
    3.Description: <your description>
    4.Choose ENTER.
5.Choose the Technical settings tab page and do the following:
6.In the Program ID field under Registered Server Program, enter LCRSAPRFC
7.This program ID must correspond to a program ID specified in the RFC engine settings of the SAP J2EE Engine on the Integration Server host.
    RFC Destination
    2. Maintaining the SAP J2EE Connection Parameters for LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI in SAP J2EE engine
    1. Goto J2EE Engine
    2. Choose Cluster --> Server --> Services. JCo RFC provider
    3. Under RFC destination specify the following:
    Program ID: LCRSAPRFC
    Gateway Host: <Integration Server host>
Gateway Service: <Integration Server gateway service>
    Number of process: 3
    4. Under Repository specify the following:
    Application Server: <Integration Server host>
    5. Choose Set.
    3. Maintain SLD access details in Transaction SLDAPICUST
    1. You can reuse this program ID for all Business systems
    2. If there is HTTP error during connection, first run transaction SLDCHECK in the Business system. Also check that HTTP connection is working fine.
    3. In XI Adapter use HTTP connection rather then giving R/3 input details as this is easier to transport and maintenance
    4. One receiver adapter can be used for all Interfaces connecting to a Business system.
<b>Thanks for your reply in adavnce.</b>
    KK

    2. are these configuartion needed for client proxy as well as server proxy also?
    >>>>
the configuration is one time thing and your R3 will act as a server or client according to the data being sent or received.
In R3 a point to be noted is that in SXMB_ADM -> Intg. Engine Confg. -> Role of Business System sud be as a Application System.
