ABAP Proxy creation

Hi Experts,
I am doing a file to proxy scenario. Now, while creating the proxy of inbound interface I am going to the SAP R/3 Server but finding out that an error is coming "No Connection to Integration Builder(only generic data visible).
Please let me know what maybe the issue or is their any configurations required for this.
Regards,
Aniruddha

Hi ,
Proxy objects implement message interfaces from Integration Repository. Proxies are executable interfaces, which converts non-language-specific interface descriptions into WSDL. i.e., you use proxies to implement the actual message exchange that is described in the Integration Builder
ABAP proxy generation gets the WSDL description for message interfaces from the Integration Repository (WSDL Web Service Description Language) by using http. In WSDL, data that is transferred using messages is described using XSD (XML Schema Definition Language).
Yours is Server proxy .
Configuration to be done in Business System  For E.g,  ECC/CRM/BI etc.,
1.     SM59 : Create RFC Destination Type : H  , to establish the HTTP connection to PI system
Target Host          : System name
Service Number          : HTTP Port name
PathPrefix          :/sap/XI/engine/?type=entry
name : PI_IR_CONNECTION
2.     Configuration Business system as local Integration Engine.
i.          Go to Transaction SXMB_ADM
ii.            Choose Edit --> Change Global Configuration Data.
iii.      Select Role of Business System: Application system
iv.     Corresponding Integration server: dest://<HTTPDESTINATION>. Here <HTTPDESTINATION> XI_XIR_CONNECTION created in step 1. Dest://PI_IR_CONNECTION.
     v.       Under Specific Configuration Data you can specify additional configuration data
u2022     Select the relevant category under Specific Configuration Data.
u2022     Choose Change Specific Configuration Data.
u2022     For ABAP Proxies, Add the following configuration:
1.Category     :     RUNTIME
2.Parameters     :     IS_URL
3.CurrentValue     :     dest://PI_IR_CONNECTION
3.     Connection between Business System and System Landscape Directory
u2022     Check/ Create RFC destination TYPE-  (TCP/IP) LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI for the SLD connection.
4.     Maintain SLD access details in Transaction SLDAPICUST
5.     Check SLDCHECK works fine
6.     Checks all queue are registered and activated .Else go and activate in sxmb_adm  -->  Manage Queue

  • ABAP Proxy creation doubt   -  Pls Help

    Hi Friends ,
I have referred the following blog for abap proxy creation
    /people/ravikumar.allampallam/blog/2005/03/14/abap-proxies-in-xiclient-proxy
as per the previous replies , <b>we have to generate proxiy from R3 syetm</b> . <b>But</b> in this weblog they are <b>generating from XI server</b> ?
The  have doubt  in the following passges
    1.
<i>We use two clients of XI here. <b>Client 100 acts as XI server</b> .<b>Client 105 acts as a client ABAP proxy</b> which sends employee information as a message to XI which routes the info to a file. Logical flow is depicted as shown below. Note that conversion of sending system format to XI specific format is not done at the outbound side of the XI server.</i>
    <b>
               a.  i have webAS 6.40 . i have  R3 6 . So i can generate proxy from R3 it self right ? then how to procedd further .
                b. So Proxy and report to call proxy also from R3 SIDE ?
                c. If No sender agreement  required then in IR only receiver determination and receiver agreement is enough ?
                d. Then in receiver Detrmination , do i need to give Business system as sender service ?
                  </b>
<b>    can u please explain this a little bit more ?</b>
    Regards.,
    Shyam

    Hi Shyam,
<b>we have to generate proxiy from R3 syetm . But in this weblog they are generating from XI server ?</b>
In this blog, Ravi has taken two different clients in the same system. As the abap code is client independent so it can be generated anywhere irrespective of clients. But while executing the report we cannot do it from the same client as of the IS.So we need to trigger the report from the client 105 which is considered as the client proxy.
check Triggering ABAP PROXY in the blog.
<b>c. If No sender agreement required then in IR only receiver determination and receiver agreement is enough ?</b>
       Yes.
<b>d. Then in receiver Detrmination , do i need to give Business system as sender service ?</b>
You can create business system for the R/3 and use it in RD.But the business system dont have any sender communication channel and no need of sender agreement as the data will directly hit the IE of XI.

  • ABAP Proxy creation in BI system

    Hi
I am trying to PUSH data from BI to PI , In which I am using ABAP Proxy.
To activate this I am following the below blog
    /people/vijaya.kumari2/blog/2006/01/26/how-do-you-activate-abap-proxies
In this they are trying to change the setting which are critical where the pipeline address is assiged to the IS_URL . see the below setting from the blog.
"2. Configuration Business system as local Integration Engine.
    1. Goto Transaction SXMB_ADM
    2. Choose Edit --> Change Global Configuration Data.
    3. Select Role of Business System: Application system
    4. Corresponding Integration server: dest://<HTTPDESTINATION>. Here <HTTPDESTINATION> SAPISU_XID created in step 1. Dest://SAPISU_XID.
    5. Under Specific Configuration Data you can specify additional configuration data
1.Select the relevant category under Specific Configuration Data.
       2.Choose Change Specific Configuration Data.
For ABAP Proxies, Add the following configuration:
         1.Category RUNTIME
         2.Parameters: IS_URL
         3.Current Value: dest://SAPISU_XID
I am afraid will this effect any problem if I change any standard setting.
Please confirm this if any one had already done this,
    Regards
    Shurk..

    Hi,
I have done this and there is no problem at all.
    Just go ahead.
Just make sure RFC connection which you have created in step 1 is working fine.

    Hi
Are you configured the necessary settings in R/3 and XI side.

Clarifications on How to Activate ABAP Proxies?
First verify if your proxy is properly communicating with XI Integration server. Goto SPROXy transaction and see if the replica of IR is available.
Then just refresh and reactivate the proxy that you are calling.

  • ABAP proxy Creation error

    Hi All,
I'm trying to create a synchronous ABAP proxy out of my outbound interface. When I do that I get an error saying that
<b>Cannot generate proxy (object <attributename="type"> missing in WSDL, see long text)</b>
Now when I remove the reponse message from the interface and make it asynchronous, I'm able to create it without any trouble. So the trouble lies in the reponse message which is a XSD file imported as an external definition. Request message is also an external definition.

    Hi Arvind,
    Check the following,
    1. The tag <part name="" type=""> is not supported with ABAP Proxies.
    Cannot generate proxy
    2. Check for recursion - Cannot generate ABAP proxy
    3. keep in mind tht ur application system is based on 6.40 or higher versions.

  • Creation of package structure for ABAP proxy scenario

    Hi All,
I have a doubt on package structure used for ABAP proxy scenario. What is the specific reason to create a four level package structure? Can some one please explain? Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sudheer.

    Hi Sudheer,
Can you pls clarify what do you mean by 'four level package structure' ?
Are you referring to the ABAP structures that get created during creating the proxy by SPROXY transaction ? These structures get automatically created. We simply have to write the code using these structures.
Or do you mean the 'package' which is mandatory to create a transportable ABAP object ? i.e. transport from Development to Staging and then Production.

  • File to ABAP Proxy (problem with inbound queues in R3)

    Hi,
In File-XI-ABAP proxy scenario, XI is successfully picking up file and sending it to R3.
But in R3, an inbound queue is created in SMQ2 transaction code and I solved the same to automatically process the Queue by registering that in SMQR transaction code. But even though the inbound queue doesn't appear in SMQ2 (which means that it is processed successfully) it doesn't call the method EXECUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS. Can anyone help me whether I need to do any settings to run that method?
Also can anyone help me, after the inbound queue is successfully processed in SMQ2 transaction, what would be the next step to watch what exactly that queue has done?

    Hi,
Please check the program code for Server ABAP proxy.
This will show you the trigerring of Proxy on inbound side.

For Queues, you can go to SMQR and check for the register queue. Select and double click on it. If anything is stuck up then you can see in it. Even same with SMQ2

  • ABAP Proxy Generation

    Hi All,
I trying to create the ABAP Proxy(OUTBOUND)
I have created the message interface in XI and created outbound proxy in R/3 by using SPROXY Tcode.
Created the ZProgram by calling class.
and completed the Configuration steps in integration builder like (Receiver determination, Interface determination, Receiver Agreement and Receiver communication channel).
When I trying to execute Zprogram in R/3 it is giving "Proxy creation do not transport" and I did not see any message in SXMB_MONI in XI and R/3 too.
Is there any thing needs to be created in XI or R/3.
any help how to trace this..
    Thanks
    M

    HEY MURALI,
In short : these are development steps for ur proxy :
    1. generate the proxy based on a package of 4 layer strucutre.
    2. After generating the proxy , activate it.
    3. i will always test my proxy , at this level so that i can see its working and no issues w.rt. calling from z-program
    4. i will now go and check the working of z-program and activate and execute it. you can also check if the earlier steps were successful , w.r.t debugging ur program.
    5. Also check the settings/ configurations if anything missing.
    Hope this helps

  • What is package structure for Client ABAP Proxy?

    1.     What is the package structure need to be  followed for creating abap client proxy.
    2.     I read some where in the form, it need to be 4 levels. Why is it?
    Thank you
    Ganges Leaves

    Hi
U hav to create a 4 level package structure for client ABAP proxy.
U can create ur on packages
    1st level-structure package.
    2nd level-main package.
    3rd and 4th level-sub packages.
To the 4th level only u hav to create proxy.
The classes and code wil be automatically generated at the time of proxy creation.
I think the 4 level structure bcz while in r/3 everythin in integration builder like software component version and all wil be takin as different levels.
Also u can go through the weblogs in the above replies u got.
    Regards
    Victoria.

  • ABAP Proxy generation descrepencies with filed and method...

    Hello,
I have two question regarding ABAP Proxies.
The first one when i regenerate proxy for a interface, It is not generating the same filed as before and my ABAP program fails.
I have Internal_organization_Descri -- Now, It is not giving same field rather It is giving Internal_organization_Descr
    It is missing 'i'
One more problem is It is chaging method also
    Previously it was showing "Sales_order_Sync"
Now, It is showing method as EXECUTE_SYNCHRONOUS
Why It is these proxies behave differently, is there Service Pack dependency.. What is the best way to avoid these descripencies...Pls help
    Srinivas

    Hi,
Please find the explantion about your doubts on ABAP Proxy.
    1. The field names might be changed based on the changes in XI in Data type for this field.
Whenver you will be regenerating the ABAP Proxy, it considers the Message type and internally the Data types that have created in XI. So any changes in these objects may lead to change.
Verify your field names in XI
    2. The Method to be used to call ABAP proxy is EXECUTE_SYNCHRON for Synchronous communciation and EXECUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS for async communication. These methods are used in ABAP source code. So please let me know where you had find this method "Sales_order_Sync"
The EXECUTE_SYNCHRON is the proper method.
Let me know if you need any more info.

  • Java Proxy and ABAP Proxy

    hi,
can any one send me some documents on Java Proxy and ABBAP Proxy
    regards,
    John

    hi,
Proxies are nothing but a mechanism to shift the application logic from the XI server onto the sender or reciever system so as to reduce the effort on the side of XI.Depending upon where the proxies are generated ,it is differentiated as client proxy ( sender ) and server proxy ( receiver ) .In R3 system having WAS 6.2 and above its already has an inbuilt small IE so the proxy generation is favoured and possilbe, for more on this please go thru the following links
Proxies: are interfaces which will get executed in the application system. They can be created only in the system from message interfaces using the proxy generation functions.
The biggest advantage of the proxy is that it always by passes the Adapter Engine and will directly interact with the application system and Integration engine - so it will and should give us a better performance.
The literal definition of a proxy is an object / process authorized to act for another; an agent or a substitute. In simpler terms, proxies in the XI context are objects used to encapsulate the creation (from a sender system) or parsing of XML (at a receiver system) as well as the communication with the relevant runtime components required to send or receive those messages. The Proxy Runtime controls these objects / processes, and can itself be controlled by the applications it communicates with.
The Proxy currently has the following components available:
    1. ABAP Proxy – Communication using XI or Web Services
    2. Java Proxy– Communication using XI (J2EE)

Sender JDBC Adapter using Stored procedure and creating Sales orders in ECC using Receiver ABAP Proxy and for this I have not used Synchronous Updates and similarly in ABAP proxy  I have used BAPI which creates Sales Orders and returns the Sales order and i would need to pick the Intendts and Sales orders , both of which I need to send back to DB system, for this I am using the same Inbound proxy code which generates Sales order number and i would want to call the Outbound proxy from the same Inbound proxy to send back the Sales order number and Intedent.
My question can any of you give me some reference as to how i can call an Outbound proxy (Sending Sales order number,Intedents) in the same Inbound Proxy(which creates Sales orders) to send the Updates to the DB system.
I have created 2 Outbound Asynchornous Service interfaces and 2 inbound Asynchronous Interfaces.
    Regards,
    KishoreJ.

    Hi Stefan,
Thanks for the example, using that I have delcared and called the Outbound proxy in my Inbound proxy using its relevent method. Now there is a small problem, The system states that SalesOrder number not compaitable which which i am passing to the method.
    For your reference
    create object lo_salesorderout.
    TRY.
    CALL METHOD lo_salesorderout->si_ob_sap_to_fms_ordernumber
      EXPORTING
        output = salesorder  .----
    Error is being thrown here
    CATCH cx_ai_system_fault .
    ENDTRY.
So for the reference in Inbound proxy I have defined this as
    Data: salesordernumber type vbeln
and in SAP XI this is regarded as a String, should I first convert the String type to VBELN of type Char 10.
    Thank You,
    KishoreJ.

  • Steps in BW for intigration with PI system through ABAP proxy communication.

    Hello Experts,
    Need your help.
We need to extract data from PI system through ABAP proxy communication. Kindly suggest the steps need to be perform on BW side.(from data source creation to setting up the delta queue )
    Thanks,
    Arpan

    Hi Raja Sekhar,
      Thanx for the quick reply.
If i have got you point right, you are telling me to right a program that will fetch the PO's and push the data into our Interface.
Let me explain you the complete scenario, we already have a ECC to SUS thrgh PI implemeted for the same PO's generated. Our requirement is that depending on the vendor details in PO's we have got to route the PO details to either SUS or BPM.
I had thought of writing a prgm but the abapers feel that a standard BADI for the same would lessen their efforts.
Meanwhile can you explain with a little more detail the standard approach you are referring to... probably some material relating to this would help us...
    thanx a lot..
    waiting for your reply,
    Nandan

  • Debugging of inbound ABAP proxy

Please To show the debugging of inbound ABAP proxy, the implementation of the demo scenario is used. The demo scenario is available in any installation WebAS 6.40 or higher.

follow this method and check debugging mode.
Debugging of inbound proxies in WebAS 6.40 or higher
To show the debugging of inbound ABAP proxy, the implementation of the demo scenario is used. The demo scenario is available in any installation WebAS 6.40 or higher.
At first you have to set a break point in the ABAP code. Call transaction SPROXY. Expand the namespace http://sap.com/xi/XI/Demo/Airline, the node Message Interface (inbound) and the interface FlightBookingOrderRequest_In.
Double click on interface II_SXIDAL_FBO_REQUEST and get the view of the proxy object properties.
Double click on the implementing class (ABAP name) and then double click on the method name (this class has only one method).
Now you are in the inbound proxy implementation. Set the break point on the first executable line.
With help of the back button (F3) go back to the transaction SPROXY. Here you choose from menu Proxy -> Test Interface
In the next pop up check the field XML Editor to maintain the payload.
In the next screen apply suitable values or upload the XML payload of the SXMB_MONI (after mapping).
Now the inbound proxy processing should stop at the break point.
If the processing does not stop at the break point, there might be an error in the XML. Check at the result page for error messages.
Debugging of inbound proxies in WebAS 6.20
You set the break point the same way as described above.
To start the proxy test you call the report SPRX_TEST_INBOUND.
As parameters you enter the name of the ABAP interface and the method name of of the ABAP interface and check the parameter Edit Native XML
In the next screen you apply suitable values or upload the XML payload of the SXMB_MONI (after mapping).
Then you click first on save button (F11), then on back button (F3).
Now you should see your debug session. If not, check if the XML is valid. BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE to post Goods Movement

Difference Between BADI and User Exits
Business Add-Ins are a new SAP enhancement technique based on ABAP Objects. They can be inserted into the SAP System to accommodate user requirements too specific to be included in the standard delivery. Since specific industries often require special functions, SAP allows you to predefine these points in your software.
As with customer exits two different views are available:
In the definition view, an application programmer predefines exit points in a source that allow specific industry sectors, partners, and customers to attach additional software to standard SAP source code without having to modify the original object.
In the implementation view, the users of Business Add-Ins can customize the logic they need or use a standard logic if one is available.
In contrast to customer exits, Business Add-Ins no longer assume a two-level infrastructure (SAP and customer solutions), but instead allow for a multi-level system landscape (SAP, partner, and customer solutions, as well as country versions, industry solutions, and the like). Definitions and implementations of Business Add-Ins can be created at each level within such a system infrastructure.
SAP guarantees the upward compatibility of all Business Add-In interfaces. Release upgrades do not affect enhancement calls from within the standard software nor do they affect the validity of call interfaces. You do not have to register Business Add-Ins in SSCR.
The Business Add-In enhancement technique differentiates between enhancements that can only be implemented once and enhancements that can be used actively by any number of customers at the same time. In addition, Business Add-Ins can be defined according to filter values. This allows you to control add-in implementation and make it dependent on specific criteria (on a specific Country value, for example).
All ABAP sources, screens, GUIs, and table interfaces created using this enhancement technique are defined in a manner that allows customers to include their own enhancements in the standard. A single Business Add-In contains all of the interfaces necessary to implement a specific task.
The actual program code is enhanced using ABAP Objects. In order to better understand the programming techniques behind the Business Add-In enhancement concept, SAP recommends reading the section on ABAP Objects.
What is difference between badi and user-exists?
What is difference between enhancements and user-exists? and what is the full form of BADI?
I have another doubt in BDC IN BDC WE HAVE MSEGCALL (i did not remember the > correct name) where the error logs are stored, MSEGCALL is a table or structure.
    What is the system landscape?
    1) Difference between BADI and USER-EXIT.
        i) BADI's can be used any number of times, where as USER-EXITS can be used only one time.
Ex:- if your assigning a USER-EXIT to a project in (CMOD), then you can not assign the same to other project.
        ii) BADI's are oops based.
    2) About 'BDCMSGCOLL' it is a structure.  Used for finding error records.
    3) Full form of BADI 'Business addins'.
    3) System land scape will be depends on your project
Ex:- 'Development server'>'Quality server'-> 'Production server'......
