ABAP QUERY - SQ02 addition of logic in infoset (END-OF-SELECTION)

I guys I have read this discussion: http://scn.sap.com/message/8193608#8193608
but solve partially my problem.
In particular I need special logic to interpret the single field from field symbol, for example:
     loop at <goo> assigne <goo_wa>.
           tot_qty = tot_qty + <goo_wa>vbap-zmeng.
     endloop.
I would like to add new row, with my logic into stracture of query %G00.

example
types: beging of l_summary,
     matnr type matnr,
end of l_summary.

<lf> type any.
lf_string = '%G00[]'.
unassign <gt>
assign (lf_string) to <gt>.

Why you are using SQ01/02 query? you can't get all the facilities what you use in general abap program report
Query is basically intended for functional consultants to get the data by joining the tables
it is Client specific and user specific
You can't use all the events and F4 help like thing in them.

ABAP Query - addition of logic in infoset

Hi Friends,
I have generated a query and there is a problem. There is a field 'Cycle count date'. Each material can have more than 1 count date. So my report displays repeated lines with same material and other details remaining same except that there are different count dates. Hence the users think there is a repetition of entries.
The requirement is to have only the most recent count date displayed and all the other lines should be removed.
I tried coding for the internal table %G00 (the table in the system generated code) but the infoset is throwing an error that the table is not declared. And if I declare, the system says same internal table declared twice (since it is already declared in the system generated code).
How do I code for this in the infoset.

Here is what you should do:
1. In the infoset, go to event END-OF-SELECTION(After list).
    Here you'll find table %G00 with final data to be displayed.
2. You should enter the following ABAP code:
    data: str type string.
   field-symbols: <GOO> type table.
   field-symbols: <GOO_WA> type any.
   str = '%g00[]'.
   ASSIGN (str) TO <GOO>.
   loop at <GOO> assigning <GOO_WA>.
   ...do whatever you like here....
   endloop.
3. Of course, you don't need to do a loop here, you can do whatever you want.

ABAP Query - SQ02 and SQ01 - custom selection criteria

Hello
I am on 46C. In my infoset I need to define three custom fields for selections. I am able to do that. Once I create my query these appear on the selection screen. So far so good.
1. I need to use these custom selection fields as selection criteria for the tables in the join. How do I do that ?
2. If I need to default some values for these selection criteria, I can do that in the definition. However I need the values to be greyed out to prevent the user from editing the values entered. How do I do that ?

1. I see that the standard variant assigned at the query level in SQ01. actually protects the selection field. There is no coding to make it only display. This answers part 2 of my question.
2. I am positive that the additional SELECTION that was created is being used in the main join that retrieves data in the query (in addition to being used for other things). I am not sure why somebody would define it that way instead of just creating a regular selection field in SQ01. Could it be because there is custom coding present for additional fields and there is reference to the selection variables needed for the additional field ?
How does one make this additional SELECTION also a criteria on the join ? I have attached the actual join Query generates - WRK, VKO and VTW are additional selection criteria.
FYI - this is an existing query, that I need to enhance

Adhoc query -sq02- Additional fields

HI experts
I am working additional fields in SQ02 .
I added a additional field for an infotype in SQ02 .Issue when I go to Tcode PQAH and run the query .I Could not able to see the selections check box for my additional fields which is useful to select as input field .
And when I right click on my additional field I could see options 'Only value' but for other fields I could see ' only value ' , 'only text' and ' value and text' .
If any one worked on these kind of issues .Please give pointers .and requirement is specific.

I must create a SE38- report that simulate the selection of a query in sq02.
How can I do for call the query in my own report? (I know all...user group, name, structure name)
I can do other elaboration from data after the calling of the query data?

I found the program using the other function in 'Query' menù and copy with all the includes in my own report.

ABAP Query Using LDB

I need to develop a abap Query using LDB , for this a Infoset is allready created , which uses PNPCE LDB .
Below i am Descrbing the scenerio , for which we need to develop the query ....
Dept/Div Transfer
Employees who transferred dept or division within specified date range:
EmpID
Last Name, First Name
Date of transfer
New department
New division
Current supervisor
Old department
Old division
How can i fitler out the data of our requirment ... because i want to use same infoset in diffrent query .

Hi Priyank,
First you need to check whether all the required fields are available there in the LDB PNPCE(I guess you are using the same).
I think old department, old division must not be available there. Then you need to add it in your Infoset and write custom code for these fields. Once you are done with custom coding, you can use this infoset for creating queries.
Use trnx SQ02 to create queries, either SAP or Infoset.

if i want to get only the employees which entered my organization during the last month where should i add the ABAP code, under which section => extras -> code. i have there several options - data, initialization, at selection-screen output etc, what to choose??????????

these queries are user specific and client specific and can't be transportable and you can't write your own code as you wish like reports

Additional field in selection screen of a abap query

Hi,
I am adding a new additional field in the selection screen through abap query(using transaction SQ02) which is of type VBRK-FKSTO.
The value entered can be 'X' or empty space.But the value which is entered in the selection screen is not getting reflected in the code.Kindly advice me on what needs to be done to capture the selection screen value in the code.

You can add new field in VFX3 selection screen as follow. In the report code we can see various explicit enahcement points provided by SAP.One of them is ENHANCEMENT-POINT sdblbddl_01 SPOTS es_sdblbddl STATIC. Here you can declare your selection screen parameters. Then in the processing i can see a call customer fucntion happening in VBSK_DISPALY which you can implement to add your logic.

Select from KONV using Additional Code in ABAP Query

I'm attempting to modify an ABAP Query Infoset (using transaction SQ02) that already has a join in it between tables VBAP and VBAK, and two additional alias tables on KONV (to get price history for sales documents). I wish to get history of all PN00 records from KONV. I can get ONE record with the following code in the Record Processing of the Extras element in my Infoset:
SELECT SINGLE KBETR KPEIN KMEIN KDATU
INTO (PN00_PRICE, PN00_PER, PN00_UOM, PN00_DATE) FROM KONV
WHERE KNUMV = VBAK-KNUMV
AND KPOSN = VBAP-POSNR
AND STUNR = 198
AND ZAEHK = 01.
But we have many counters (field ZAEHK) for the PN00 condition and I want to have a new row for each PN00 record in KONV. I've tried some loop syntax, but I've not been able to get any code to function or return more than one row for each sales order item row (VBAP-POSNR).

Dear, it seems that you have changed the query in SQ02 and then just save it and not generated.
or may be after generation again clicked on SAVE button.
So untill unless you will not generate the query, it won't work.
Secondly, by chanegs in the query, i don't think it changes the name of the main program.

Adding additional fields to an Infoset Query

Hi Experts,
I have added a couple of additional fields to an infoset query using SQ02.
I have also written code for filling in the fields.
I have also added them to some Field Groups.
Despite this, when I run the query, they are not being displayed in the output list.
What could be the reason for this?
Kindly help with your inputs.

give the query name...
goto change.. just below output, you have a drop down for field group and field catalog. select field catalog.

How to create an ABAP Query with OR logical expression in the select-where

In trying to create an ABAP query with parameters. So it will select data where fields are equal to the parameters entered. The default logical expression is SELECT.. WHERE... AND.. However I want to have an OR logical expression instead of AND.. how can I attain this??

You cannot just replace AND with OR in an ABAP QUERY. ABAP QUERY is a self generated SAP code. You'll just declare the tables, input parameters and output fields to be displayed and it will create a SAP standard code. If you'll try to change the code and replace the AND with OR in the SAP standard code, the system will require you to enter access key/object key for that particular query.

I have already tried to insert a code in the ABAP query (there's a part there wherein you can have extra code) but that didn't work. Can anybody help me on this.

Logical database of ABAP query

Can anybody please let me know what is the Logical database for ETXDCI, ETXDCH & ETXDCJ (Tax tables) with any sales document tables? I need to develop one ABAP query for the users.

Try the BRF logical database.
I found it by searching in which programs the tables were used.
It show program SAPDBBRF which is the program for logical database BRF.

ABAP query using logical database KDF is not populating custom fields

Hi Experts ,
I created two following queries
1.       VENDORCATKDF – uses KDF logical database
2.       VENDORCATLFA1 – uses table = LFA1
I’m pulling the same information in both queries:
·         Vendor Number
·         Country
·         Vendor Name
·         Vendor Category (custom fields added to LFA1)
The results for the query that uses the logical database KDF is incorrect. It doesn’t pull in the flag on the custom field LFA1-ZMRO.   Even though the logical database KDF is made up of the table LFA1 and has these fields.
Is there something that can be done – so that all of these “custom” category fields under LFA1 (such as LFA1-ZZMRO) – get pulled into queries – when we use the logical database KDF ?

I have got the error removed by ensuring that fields from one table are a part of one line ( taking help of ruler) only. But the underlying problem remains, the output is not ALV but List output.
I do not think having additional fields in the query is reason for this.
Is it bcoz iI am adjusting the output length of columns to ensure no hierarchical error ?
Can we not have a query using LDB which is shown as SAP List?
