Abap to load data based on update date
Friends,
I need an ABAP Code
I am putting this code in my InfoPackage Which is tied to One of my Process chain for Delta load.
Here is the logic...
Load just those records where the update date is todays date.
Thanks

How to use ABAP to load data to a DSO
I have a use case where we load data to a Direct Update DSO with an ABAP program. We do this by directly writing to the table /BIC/Atablename00. While this approach has been working for us so far, it has a few drawbacks:
- no requests are generated (so you cannot easily revert your loads, archive them etc.)
- the last "data refresh" date does not get updated
- caching has to be turned off because the cache does not get notified about the new data in the DSO and therefore does not refresh.
I am now wondering whether there is a more high level approach within ABAP that would allow me to mimic the regular loading process more closely by creating a "request object" to load the data, have delta queues maintained automatically etc.
Is anyone aware of such an API?
Thank you,
DennisSiggi,
that is exactly what I was looking for. I also found your blog entry about that topic:
Generic Extraction via Function Module
as well as (an older) howto:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d3219af2-0c01-0010-71ac-dbb4356cf4bf

Update Picking date, Loading date, Planned GI date etc on outbound delivery
Hi All,
I'm a bit stuck. I'm trying to perform some updates against outbound delivery documents, at the header level, from within a user exit of a shipment document.
Essentially, based on some logic and data on the shipment I need to apply some changes to the header dates on LIKP for the deliveries attached to the shipment. I've looked at BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CHANGE but this does not allow me to change the fields I need to.
So, does anyone know how I can update the following fields on LIKP:-
Picking date - LIKP-KODAT
Picking time - LIKP-KOUHR
Loading date - LIKP-LDDAT
Loading time - LIKP-LDUHR
Planned GI date - LIKP-WADAT
Planned GI time - LIKP-WAUHR
Delivery date - LIKP-LFDAT
Delivery time - LIKP-LFUHR
I'm not sure I can acutally do this or whether it is advisable to do so but have been asked to make it work!
Thanks in advance,
Gareth.>

Hi,
Thank you very much for the suggestion - I'll give this a try and see how I get on. I was hoping there may be something like this but couldn't find a way of doing it and haven't really done much in this area before.
Thanks

Update the source record while loading data into target
Hello Friends,
I am loading data from "staging info object" into "target info object".
I have the validation code in 'start routine' in the transformations.
During validations, if the conditions are met, I would like to load the record into target and at the same time, update one specific field of this record ( e.g. say - LoadFlag ) in the source infoobject.
I am successfully able to load the records in the target info objects.
I would like to know, how to update the record in the source-infoobject.
Can anyone please let me know the ABAP syntax for this one.?
I promise to award points.
Thank you for your time.
Pramod.Instead of ABAP you can:
a) connect the update rule to the target also to the source object as input. In this updaterule you can simple set the load indicator with a constant.
b) use an APD (TR RSANWB). -
Master Data loading got failed: error "Update mode R is not supported by th
Hello Experts,
I use to load master data for 0Customer_Attr though daily process chain, it was running successfully.
For last 2 days master data loading for 0Customer_Attr got failed and it gives following error message:
"Update mode R is not supported by the extraction API"
Can anyone tell me what is that error for? how to resolve this issue?
Regards,
NiravHi
Update mode R error will come in the below case
You are running a delta (for master data) which afils due to some error. to resolve that error, you make the load red and try to repeat the load.
This time the load will fail with update mode R.
As repeat delta is not supported.
So, now, the only thing you can do is to reinit the delta(as told in above posts) and then you can proceed. The earlier problem has nothing to do with update mode R.
example your fiorst delta failed with replication issue.
only replicating and repeaing will not solve the update mode R.
you will have to do both replication of the data source and re-int for the update mode R.
One more thing I would like to add is.
If the the delat which failed with error the first time(not update mode R), then
you have to do init with data transfer
if it failed without picking any records,
then do init without data transfer.
Hope this helps
Regards
Shilpa

I keep getting this error message: ITunes was unable to load data class information from Synch Services. Reconnect or try again later. What does that mean? Can I fix it? or do I have to wait for the next update?
See TS2690: iTunes for Windows: "Unable to load data class" or "Unable to load provider data" sync services alert.

"Unable to load data" error after Windows update
Hi all,
I've been maintaining a LightSwitch desktop app for a couple of years now. The app runs on a server and several client machines access it. Sometime in the last few months, any client that has Windows Update enabled has failed to load data. Instead
it shows red crosses where the data should be and the tooltip, "Unable to load data. Please check your connection and try loading again."
Other clients that don't have updates enabled are fine. Has anyone else run into this issue? Does anyone know how to resolve it?
Thanks,
LiamHi Angie,
Thanks for your reply. I've enabled diagnostics as described. Here's what I find.
When I load my LightSwitch screen, I get the following entry highlighted red in Fiddler:

164Hi Hardeep,
Looks like the transformation and DTP need to be activated again.
The error is RSBK (299) - 'Invalid program status'. So please activate the transformation and DTP possibly activate the DSO's too.
It should then work.
Thanks

ABAP routine for loading data of current month in InfoPackage
Hello experts,
I want to load data of current month. Therefore I implemented the following ABAP-Routine for field 0CALDAY in the InfoPackage's data selection:
data: lv_datum_l like sy-datum,
lv_datum_h like sy-datum.
concatenate sy-datum(6) '01' into lv_datum_l.
call function 'RP_LAST_DAY_OF_MONTHS'
exporting
day_in = sy-datum
importing
last_day_of_month = lv_datum_h.
l_t_range-sign = 'I'.
l_t_range-option = 'BT'.
l_t_range-low = lv_datum_l.
l_t_range-high = lv_datum_h.
But function 'RP_LAST_DAY_OF_MONTHS' cannot be found!
Any other suggestions for getting last day of current month?
regards
hizaHi,
Add this code. When u complete execution of this code, ZDATE will have ur month end date.
data : zdate_c(2) type c,
zyear_c(4) type c,
zmonth_c(2) type c.
data : zdate like sy-datum.
data : zday(2) type n.
zdate = sy-datum
zyear_c = zdate(4).
zmonth_c = zdate+4(2).
zdate_c = '01'.
concatenate zyear_c zmonth_c zdate_c into zdate.
CALL FUNCTION 'FIMA_END_OF_MONTH_DETERMINE'
EXPORTING
I_DATE = zdate
IMPORTING
E_DAYS_OF_MONTH = NO_OF_DAYS.
zday = NO_OF_DAYS.
concatenate zyear_c zmonth_c zday into zdate. -
Load data only for current month using ABAP Routine
Hi Everyone,
I am loading data from R/3 using the 0HR_PA_OS_1 extractor. This requirement is to load the position numbers from R/3. Using the extractor for a given position 28 I get the following dataset results.
CALMONTH POSITION
11-2004 28
12-2004 28
01-2005 28
02-2005 28
|
07-2007 28 CURRENT DATE
Now when I pull data in BW I only want to load the record for most current i.e. 07-2007. I DO NOT want that ALL the records since the day the position was created should be loaded.
Now I do understand this can be achieved using a ABAP routine in the INFOPACKAGE. Below is the routine that I am using and what it is doing is that it is only bringing in the first record.
data: l_idx like sy-tabix.
clear: l_idx.
read table l_t_range with key
fieldname = 'CALMONTH'.
l_idx = sy-tabix.
Current month only
l_t_range-low = sy-datum(6). "Current month
l_t_range-high.
l_t_range-option = 'EQ'. "equals
l_t_range-sign = 'I'.
modify l_t_range index l_idx.
p_subrc = 0.
Can anyone suggest a solution as to why this is happening?
Thanks,
RahulOne explanation would be
- If there is no CALMONTH selection values specified in the selection tab, l_t_range would be empty. This would mean there would be no line for CALMONTH selection, and the code won't modify the l_t_range.
If this is true, you need to check sy-subrc after reading from the itab.
data: l_idx like sy-tabix.
clear: l_idx.
read table l_t_range with key fieldname = 'CALMONTH'.
if sy-subrc = 0.
l_idx = sy-tabix.
* Current month only
l_t_range-low = sy-datum(6). "Current month
* l_t_range-high.
l_t_range-option = 'EQ'. "equals
* l_t_range-sign = 'I'.
modify l_t_range index l_idx.
else.
move 'CALMONTH' to l_t_range-fieldname.
l_t_range-low = sy-datum(6).
l_t_range-sign = 'I'.
l_t_range-option = 'EQ'.
append l_t_range.
endif.
p_subrc = 0. -
ABAP short dump when loading data into Infocube
Hello All,
I am getting an ABAP short dump error when loading data into Infocube. I tried to load data from PSA and ODS.
I ran the code to compress the Infocube, no improvement still getting the same error.
Error Analysis:
A raise statement in the program "SAPLRSDU_PART" raised in the exception.
Internal Notes:
The termination occured in the function "ab_i fune" of the SAP Basis system. Specifically in the line 2316 of the module "//bas/620/src/krn/runt/abfunc. C#18".
The internal operation just processed is "FUNE"
Advance thanks !!!
SivHello Siv,
try to run program SAP_DROP_EMPTY_FPARTITIONS to display existing partitions. Then compare it to the number of uncompressed requests. Maybe there's a mismatch.
SAP notes that might help: 385163, 590370

USEREXIT_ADD_FIELD_TO_LINE for updating sales order loading dates
Hi,
I have a requirement to update the loading date in the sales order scheduling lines. I am trying to do it in <b>USEREXIT_ADD_FIELD_TO_LINE</b> in program SAPFV45V but there is also a comment in the userexit stating field needs to be added to structure AV03VZ. Is this required? The code seems do fine without using the structure. Also, should I be modifying the include <b>FV45VFZZ_USEREXIT_ADD_FIELD_TO</b> itself or should I do it through CMOD. If so, what would be the enhancement?
We are in 4.7, it looks like from rel.>4.6, we should be using include <b>FV50XATP_USEREXITS</b> instead, but during debug, the codes in this userexit never get called. Are these two exits doing the same thing?
Does anybody know which one should a 4.7 systems be using to modify the loading date?
Thank you,
MinamiFound out that we do need to modify the include its own. And the FV50XATP_USEREXITS is being executed when the delivery due list is executed, not when the order is created so in order to influence the loading date in the order, userexit in SAPFV45V needs to be modified.
