Abbreviation of Alberta Canada on Cheques

Hi, I found an interesting thing about the address of vendor displayed on cheques.
When printing cheques, SAP usually automatically abbreviates the province. The abbreviations of all provinces are correct except for Alberta, which should be AB, while SAP makes it AL
Any other people has the same problem?

This is a known problem. You need to create a new Province Code for Alberta. What is your B1 version and PL?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Have you filled this position? I'm interested, but don't know about the Canadian work requirements. I'm a U.S. citizen, working in the U.S. I'd assume that it wouldn't be that difficult to get the Canadian permission...

Hi All,
Wonder if there will be exam center at Edmonton Alberta Canada Location after December 31, 2014 for 70-480 that registered at Pearson VUE? I tried register with VUE and can't find a single exam center at Edmonton, but found 3 in Calgary which is 3 hours
away. It really doesn't make sense that a capital city of the province doesn't have an official test center.
Please let me know if new test center will be extended to Edmonton.

Can my Chinese E63 be used in Canada?

Hey there!
Does anyone know if/how I can use my Chinese Nokia E63 in Canada?
I bought an E63 in Taiyuan, Shanxi, China over a year ago and was on the China Mobile network until about a week ago when my wife and I moved to Alberta, Canada.
I tried popping in a Telus SIM card, but to no avail. Is it possible that the E63 could be "locked" or something?

The E63 is a quad band GSM phone, so regardless of whether yours is a Chinese, US or global version, it will work as a GSM phone in Canada.
Smartphones bought in China are not 3G-enabled. This means that you will not be able to use 3G services with your phone. You will not be able to place or receive video calls and you will only get GSM or EDGE speeds for data transfer.
Also note that you will not be able to use a Canadian SIM in your phone if it is SIM-locked to your Chinese network, although I understand that this is not common practice in China.

IPad use in Canada

What do I need to know to use my U.S. iPad on 3G in Alberta, Canada? I've read posts about buying a SIM card but those posts are older and I'm wondering what the latest info is.

How can I filter a column based on data in another list.

I have two lists:
List A:
Business Unit | BU Services
BU1 | Service 1
BU1 | Service 2
BU1 | Service 3
BU2 | Service 4
BU2 | Service 5
BU3 | Service 6
BU3 | Service 7
List B:
Sales Rep | Business Unit | Service
Jonny Cash | BU3 | Service 7
Kitty Wells | BU3 | Service 6
Willie Nelson | BU2 | Service 5
etc
List A is a reference list. I.e. it associates services with a business unit.
List B is a record of activities. It records what each sales rep sold. Sales reps can sell services from any business unit.
Using a drop down list to select the business unit, the service column should only display services that are related to a business unit. I.e. If BU3 is selected, then only Service 6 and Service 7 should be available.
How can this be achieved in SharePoint? It looks like something that it could easily do, however I can't get a lookup to work across lists, and I'm not sure a calculated column will do the job either.
Any ideas?

The first list (or table) is used for associations. I'm associating services with a business unit. This would work the same way with an example I found, regarding countries and states:
i.e.
Country | State
USA | Nebraska
USA | New York
Canada | Alberta
Canada | Manitoba
Russia | Crimea
Russia | Chechnya
Australia | New South Wales
etc
Then in the second list or table I could specific team members and their location:
Team Member | Country | State
Russell Crow | Australia | New South Wales
Clive Owen | USA | New York
In the 2nd table, I would select the country from a drop down (or by type ahead), and then the state column would restrict choices to states for the particular country as define in the first list, i.e. USA would show states like: Nebraska and New York, but
not Alberta or New South Wales because they belong to other countries.
I have a feeling that SharePoint can't do this, despite having the basic foundation for it. I'm not a MS developer, I'm a business user trying to put a basic app together for my boss.

Clarification on how to use Xserve Raid and Fibre Channel without xsan.

First let me apologize for not responding earlier to your response, I tend to get busy and then forget to check back here.
Tod, the answer to your question is No, only one computer is accessing the xserve raid files at any one time and that is via Fibre Channel. However I do have the xserve raids set up as share points via ethernet.
Maybe I should turn that off and only access the files with the one computer that can connect via fibre channel.
I never thought of that. I will try that while I await for your answer, thanks again.

I have the following setup:
Xserve: 2x2Ghz Dual Core Intel Xeon, 5Gb of Ram, Running 10.5.8 Leopard Server
Xserve Raid with firmware version 1.5.1/1.51c on both controllers, and
Qlogic Sanbox 5600
Apple Fibre Channel Cards in Xserve, and Mac Pro Tower; Apple 2 Port 4Gbs Fibre Channel Card
Mac Pro Tower-Quad Core Intel Xeon 2.8Ghz, 16Gb of Ram, Running Snow Leopard 10.6.4
Here is the problem.
The directory for the xserve raids keep getting corrup, and I use disc warrior to rebuild them. Is there a way to keep the directories from getting corrupt? I am a few pieces of equipment before I can build an Xsan as that is the ultimate goal, but until then, I just need to be able to have the raids funciton as storage without having to rebuild the directories all of the time.
Anybody have any suggestions?

Are multiple computers accessing the same data on the RAID at the same time?
If so then NO. This is the source of your data corruption and I'm surprised if you were able to get all your data back every time if this is how you've been running your system. Each fibre channel assumes it has full and sole control of every volume it has mounted, no data arbitration is practiced and data corruption will occur if this assumption is wrong.
The only way this set-up will work is to use partitions or LUN masks so the volumes are accessed by one computer at any time. As long as one computer relinquishes control before another mounts it you will dodge arbitration issues but this is a dangerous game. If you screw up and mount an already mounted volume - and there is no easy way to tell if a volume is mounted - corruption will then occur. Sharing data simultaneous at fibre speeds is what XSAN does and to do this you need it.

This is source of the corruption to your data. Any computer that attaches to a drive/partition via fibre channel assumes that it alone is in control of the drive and data corruption is inevitable.

Short answer: YES. The ethernet connections are fine because the server is controlling the file arbitration through the sharing protocol. Fibre channel connections assumes complete control over the partition and no arbitration of the file access is performed. It's like two people independently driving trying to drive the same car to different locations.
Depending on your set-up it is possible for the two machines to see and use different parts of the Xserve RAID storage but they cannot access the same areas without SAN doing the arbitration.

Making a auto updating site map, index, RSS...problems

I am new to web page design and need some help. I am using DW CS4 on MAC OS X 10.4.11 and placing the page onto a remote simple host by my ISP (Telus in Alberta, Canada). I have a very basic web page and can start again if needed. My goal is to use Lightroom to publish a few photo galleries to my webspace ( no problem there Lightroom dose it all)
The problem is I would like to post multiple photo galleries from Lightroom into a directory on the webspace but have an index page or site map that will have a link to each gallery. I am trying to find a way to make the index automatically read the directory and update itself so that I can just upload the galleries from lightroom and not have to manually change the index page to include the new gallery in the directory tree.
I am just looking for some suggestions on how to accomplish this task.
I have a RSS feed already but I am hoping to have the feed or some page automatically recognise when a new gallery has been uploaded to the webspace. I want to have it so that I upload and then it auto changes the index or some links page or site map and an RSS feed gets updated so I do not have to tell each family member everytime that I change the available photo galleries.
I just need some suggestions or direction to go so that I can learn this.

I'm assuming this is being done by Apple. Since you're getting a replacement iPhone, you obviously have to provide the them info they request regarding your broken phone and will have to update your carrier with the new info such as the IMEI #.

Skype address and time don't match

Hi I am talking to a guy on Skype. He says he is in Canmore Alberta Canada. And the time stamp is correct for mountain time when he calls but the address says Aland Islands. Can skype be wrong or am I being decieved by this guy.

In Skype the location and the timezone can be set to any custom location or time zone you want. I have mine set to Yerevan on one of my accounts to prove to someone that it can say I'm from Yerevan when I'm not. So if someone is constantly changing their location or time zone then I might question their trust. I only converse with people on Skype that I personally know so I could care less what their location or timezone says.

For three days I have continued to recieve this message at the same spot (1:47:58) while watching The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring special Extended edition on my 3rd gen apple tv. We purchased the trilogy on January 27, 2013 and have tried multiple times since then with no success. I have also attempted Downloading the movie to itunes on my Macbook Pro but twice was unsuccessful, yet the other two movies in the series downloaded with no issue. I have tested my wireless speed at around 45mbps and wired at around 85mbps ping is approximately 110ms to San fransisco, California from Central Alberta, Canada. I have tried restoring and rebooting the apple tv and reseting internet connection. Any help would be appreciated.
