Ability to edit post

I have log off and back in but I cannot edit my post any more? Anyone else having this issue.
Never mind apperatily I can't edit post I put in very early this morning. i seem to edit this just fine.

There is a time limit of I think one hour after which you cannot edit a post any longer. If you really, really need to have a post edited you can ask one of the moderators to do it for you (at least I am pretty sure you can and they will ).

User registration and editing posts

Hi everyone,
I have a site that people can register on and post there information.
I am using php and mysql.
I want people to be able to EDIT their information they posted but ONLY their information, noone elses.
the user registration works great and they are able to add their information.
Basically this is for a car club site, and car clubs can register and post their city state, chapter, and web address etc.
but alot of the people are messing up when they try to post their info and I am not sure how to give the poster the ability to edit their OWN information, if someone could help me out with this or point me in the right direction that would be great!

No, it isn't. Pages 5 isn't compatible with Pages 4.3 as it is lacking more than 90 features that Pages 4 has. So when you open a Pages 4 document in Pages 5 only the simplest documents will look the same in Pages 5.
Pages 4 can't open Pages 5 documents at all!! You have to export back to Pages 09 as I said above.
You probably will be more happy if you just use Pages 4 (Pages 09). There are many threads in this forum that describes the lack of compatibility between the two versions. Pages 5 is in my view not Pages anymore.
If you don't desperately need Pages 5 for moving documents over iCloud to new iOs devices don't use it.

Merging pdfs with ability to edit a form

When I merge two pdfs in Acrobat 8 then reopen them in Reader (which is the only software my client has to view/edit pdfs) I can no longer save the data typed into the forms--I can print the document as is with the information, but the pdf form needs to be filled out by a couple people. Does anyone know of a way I can merge two pdfs and still retain the ability to edit the form?

Can't save edits. I was hoping I wouldn't have to go back in to enable reader rights (it's a client who would actually have to do it), but that's okay. Thanks for your help.

Removing the ability to edit a form once it has been submitted

I found one other way to do it. I just deleted them all out of my iTunes library. Now I can re-import them from Window's My Music file with the original artists' names intact.

Client loses ability to edit pages in CS3

Hi folks, although the permissions I had for client in CS3 were pretty broad, she is now only able to edit text   on SOME pages whereas she was able to edit text on all before. When I log in using CS5 I do not see any draft pages, but she said she cannot even create a draft for those pages. She can only edit one page now...
Any ideas what might be the problem here?     I am now using CS 5 but had NOT opened up the website for months until she emailed me today about the problem.

Okay, I reloaded the site, made sure it is compatible and transitional, sent a new key. Client is able to log in and edit   one page but not others they have created, I think, even though she has publisher permissions. She says she has no drafts on her system. I used the same key in CS3 and was able to edit all pages. We are stumped... She is one Windows and I'm on a Mac, so my guess there is something messed up in her Win preferences or whatever they're called, like plist on the mac...   or something else.
All pages are checked in and she has Enabled the connection.
can anyone give me a clue as to what to tell her to do to restore her ability to edit pages?

Editing posted documents

Is it possible to allow my users to edit the remarks or opening/closing remarks of a sales order, but not have the ability to edit anything else on the sales order? I have searched the authorizations, but haven't seen any setting related strictly to remarks.

This would be only possible by custom SDK Code. Out of the box there is no such option.

Hi folks
I need a hint for a BAPI or function module to be used in the following case:
Normally the user manually executes the transaction <b>PCP0</b> ("Edit posting runs"). Then selects one of the lines and makes and makes a posting.
Now the users would like to have a program that can be executed in batch every night. This program have to select the correct line, and the do the posting - without doing anything manually. Has anybody of You done that before? And how?

and even we have to do manually in PCP0 .. the selecting of the line Because it has authorsation object also ... scheduling can not be done ...becasue it is Module Pool Program ...
SO module Pool cannot be scheduled ..

Limiting Recipients Ability to Edit or Forward Email?

The Microsoft email programs allow an author to limit a recipients ability to edit or forwad an email.
Is it possible to do the same thing with Mail?

The Mail.app doesn't allow changing the message Subject or message body for received messages but there is nothing preventing a recipient from editing a received message after selecting Reply or Forward for the message.

Lost ability to edit on 2003 terminal server

Not sure when exactly it happened, but for some reason the ability
for Zen to manage the desktops on 2003 terminal server is gone.
Additionally when I open console one and try to edit the policy or
even create a new one and edit the group policies, the all is
greyed out. No button available for User, security or computer
configuration. I can select the path to where the policy is or
should be created, but clicking the edit button results in the
following error:
The policy that you are attempting to edit is being edited by
another user. I'm the only admin and no one else is editing it
for certain. I get the same message if I even attempt to create a
new policy from the terminal server desktop.

Ability to Edit info for multiple Songs seems missing in iTunes 12

From a review of this forum, it appears that iTunes 12 no longer permits editing of certain fields for multiple songs.
Formerly, one could select any group of songs and, via using Get Info, edit virtually any field for all songs at the same time.
In iTunes 12 this ability seems missing for certain fields.
Am I missing something or is this highly useful feature now gone?
I can't seem to get a clear picture of this from current forum posts.

did not mean to do that as use of 3rd party scripts should not be necessary for such a core function in itunes
apple need to restore that basic feature. I will submit a request to them directly.

DESKTOP USERS NEED ABILITY TO EDIT START MENU

One cannot currently edit the Windows 10 Tech Preview Start Menu, in the Windows 7 and earlier manner. Desktop users need this ability back, pronto.
For example, one cannot right-click an empty folder in the Start Menu and choose to delete it. To delete an empty folder from the start menu, one must navigate to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs,
then delete the offending folder or file, then LOGOUT and log back in for the changes to take effect.
We ALSO need the ability to organize the "metro-style" apps into a folder, sort them, drag-and-drop them, etc., etc., just like any other program. Currently, on this PC I have over 70 "metro-style" apps installed. In the "All
Apps" view of the Start Menu, I now have to scroll past 70 items just to get to the "regular" programs installed on the PC. Not good. Not good at all.
I hope the development team has this on their plate or, if not, is listening. This one is very important to desktop users!!

I agree whole heartedly with Furry Panther poster but think the problem is more basic than that. To address the concerns of LuisHMex, this variation on the start menu issue is very much an IT consern. I've already documented this issue here Remote
Install Customize Start Menu but was asked to go to TechNet because the other site was too consumer oriented.
This one issue more than any other has stopped us from deploying Windows 8 on our 14,000 computers and it seems to be continuing on to 10. I have a software library of 200 titles that have to be installed remotely after imaging. There seems
to be no way to publish these applications to the start menu via script and it is not feasible to have group policies for every subset of software. Not only do they need to show up, but show up before the Metro style apps. We'd get non stop calls
to the help desk if users had to scroll right to find an app they are looking for. I'd love to have a start screen category called "desktop apps" where I could publish all the titles installed post imaging.
Going beyond that, has anyone ever installed Smart Notebook? It installs 15 icons of different utilities. I was hoping that the start screen would support folders like an Android or iPhone does. While the start screen is friendly with one
button access, it is difficult to find the tile you want due to the sheer number of tiles available. With this new hybrid start menu, perhaps all the desktop apps could go back to the Win7 style menu with folders and leave the Metro one for the start
screen style part. It just needs a way to manage that separation.

How do I lock the location of a table and still have the ability to edit it?

I actually have two questions.
1. I have a table that I made a master object for the purpose of having it on two pages. Becuase it is a master object, I am unable to input data into it. I'm fine with this because it's important this table remain exactly as it is. So I made another table with the same dimensions and put it on top, and turned off all the lines so you can only see the underlying table, and any data inputted looks as if it belongs to the master object. However, I spent an embarassingly long time trying to get the second, top table in position and I don't want it to move. Is there a way to lock it's location and still have the ability to input data?
2. I would like to copy and paste the above-mentioned second table. However, when I do so, the dimensions change. Some of the rows line up with the master-object underlying table, but some are way off. I have no idea why this would be. I went into the settings of both and made sure their measurements were the same. Rows, columns, x, y; everything. As a temporary solution, I made the top-table a master-object, which put it on both pages and then I 'unmade' it a master-object.
Any ideas? Thanks for your time!

This may not be the most efficient method, but drag it to your desk top. Delete the image in iPhoto, re-import the image and merge it into the event where you want it.
You may also consider posting this query on the iPhoto forum. You will have a wider audience and one that is oriented towards this application.

When will iOS Safari be able to edit posts?

I had hoped with the release of iOS 5 and the redesign of Safari that I would be able to edit my posts on my iPad 2. But unfortunately that's not the case. It's really embarrassing to make a simple typo in a post, then not be able to correct it.
SInce I'm now reading ASC mostly from my iPad 2, this basic and very irritating problem has discouraged me from posting at all. Does anyone have some news on when this will be fixed?

Mobile Safari can seem to handle the edit window pretty well, with only the occasional "missing cursor" where I need to close and open the keyboard to get it working.
The major problem is that I never get the "Edit" button to a post I've just submitted. So, as I said in my op, if I make a stupid spelling error, I can't get back into the post to re-edit it.
I like the new Safari, but I'm going to investigate using another browser for these groups (but ASC has been so slow lately that I haven't been reading many posts anyway).
