Ability to track contact interests and add referrals

Can one of the Product Managers please advise us how we can get this feature added to our CRMOD instance - ability to track contact interests and the ability to add referrals. This feature is explained in the booksheld pages 146 & 147.
I did talk to one of the Customer Support personnel and they do not have any idea about this.

The reference to pages 146 & 147 in the Siebel CRM On Demand Help documents refers to the Siebel CRM On Demand Financial Services Edition. However, you have the ability to create custom fields in the Contact object to indicate contact interest and referral information.

  • Report on Contacts Interests (related information section)

    I have activated the "Contact Interests" feature (related info section for a Contact) and "Contact Relationship". I'm not planning on using the "Contact Relationship" feature at the time but I will be using the "Contact Interests" If and only IF I can report on it.
    I'd like to create a report that shows a list of contacts and their interests but i can't seem to find the "Contact Interests" to add to my report.
    Also, I tried to do an advance search to see if I could get a list of contacts with a specific interest (golf, funds,etc...) but couldn't find how to search by that field.
    FYI- don't get confused thinking that this is a custom object because it isn't. I say this because when I called customer support they had no idea what I was talking about. Thanks God for 2nd Tier.

    On R15 you cannot report off Contact Interests, but in R16 you can - at least that's oracle's word. You may want to ask your customers to wait till June. If your need is urgent then build some web services which will populate this data into an external database and report off that.

    I am recovering from a control freak.  Please help.  My ex husband took off with the children's iPad for over a year.  So the warranty is expired.  How do I keep the games he put on there (like Angry Birds) but get rid of a "restrictions Passcode" he refuses to give me and get his AppleID off of there and most importantly take his ability to stalk me via GPS tracking away?
    Yes he has been stalking me.
    I would like to add an internet browser and be able to have my own restrictions passcode so that when the children are not supervised I can turn off the internet. 
    How do I get rid of his passwords and ability to track me and set the iPad up for my children.  (I have no money, no child support and definitely no cash for tech support.)  I would deeply appreciate the help.  Even after I find a new job, it will be tight.

    You'll have to restore the device, but with out the restricions passcode you'll have to put it into recovery mode first.

    I am working on u201CDual Tracking IDu201D issue for EM Project.
    Issue: Current design, when Users change Tracking ID (Inbound Delivery Bill of Lading #), In Event Management, we have both Old and New Tracking ID (YTRACK_NO).
    Solution: Users / Business Requested to Update Existing Tracking ID (YTRACK_NO) in EM. Anytime in EM, we will have only NEW value of YTRACK_NO.
    For the same, I modified FM in ECC and Config (Rules) in EM.
    Added  Tracking References in Event Message FM whenever there is change in Tracking No.
    Replace Existing Tracking ID YTRACK_NO with new Value
          ls_trackreferences-evtcnt   = lv_evtcnt.
          ls_trackreferences-refcod   = 'YTRACK_NO'.
          ls_trackreferences-refid    = <ls_xlikp>-bolnr.
          ls_trackreferences-refusage = 'T'.
          ls_trackreferences-action   = 'A'.
          APPEND ls_trackreferences TO lt_trackreferences.
    Configuration / Rules in EM:
    For YIDN_CHANGED_TRAC Activity:
    Iu2019ve added Task12 u2013 Delete Tracking u2013 Activity TRACKING_ID_REMOVE
    TASK 15 u2013 Added Tracking ID u2013 Activity TRACKING_ID_SET
    Once the FM and Config is completed,
    When I change Existing Inbound Delivery BOL #, I see TRACKING ID (YTRACK_NO) is deleted from Tracking ID Tab for Inbound Delivery EH but new Tracking ID (YTRACK_NO) is not added either.
    I checked SLG1 ( logs) and I see Activity is Triggered and RC = 0. Donu2019t see any errors either.
    I see entry in /saptrx/evm_ref ( New Tracking ID) table.
    Any thoughts?

    u2022     Once the Event Messages is posted, If I do Reprocess Event Messages (Manually), interestingly New Tracking ID is getting added to EH.
    u2022     Also if post Event Messages through BADI (/SAPTRX/BAPI_EH_ADDEVENTMSG_02) in EM (manually) , it works Perfectly (Deletes and Adds new Tracking ID)

  • Problem with iTunes purchased track.  I purchased an album from the store and downloaded.  I contacted support as one track was defective and had this one track setup to re-download, which was successful.

    I purchased an album with 11 tracks from the Store.  When the download was complete, I edited the name to make it easier for me to find. I then synced my iPod and iPad with the new album.  However I found that one of the tracks was defective and after writing to the support community, a second download was setup and this fixed the bad track.  I was surprised that when the track downloaded, it went to the track with the new name.  However it works perfectly on my computer.  For some reason, the iPod and iPad have synced a few times but the track for this album on these is the original track with the defect and this has not fixed, though there have been multiple times that it has synced. The laptop with its corrected track works fine.
    The message from support told me to be sure that the software on my laptop was the current version and I did correct this before getting that corrected download.  However I notice that my iPod says that it has the latest version and won't check for an update until 2/24.
    Can you help me figure this out.  I thought if I could delete this track off the iPod and iPad that it would sync the correct version, but I can't see how to delete these.

    Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the problem tracks from your iTunes library, close and then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
    While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
    If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

    Roadrunner is POP email, and the feature you are looking for
    is a function of IMAP email. Roadrunner has not announced
    any plans to make IMAP available. If this is important to you,
    get a gmail account (which can be setup as IMAP)  and configure
    your Roadrunner account to automatically forward emails to the
    gmail account.

    This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    1. The purpose of this test is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
    While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
    Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
    After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
    *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The "Guest User" login created by "Find My Mac" is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    2. Connect to a different network, such as a public Wi-Fi hotspot, and try again.

    There is an option, under Advanced, on the Info Pane in iTunes to replace all contacts on your phone with what's on your computer for the next sync only. So, edit everything on your computer & use that method.

    Contacts are synced with a compatible programme in the computer; in the iCloud or with Yahoo and Google Mail. You can directly "edit" a contact on the phone and/or within the programme that you are syncing your contacts with.
    Have you configured/setup mails on your iPhone? If yes, check the contents of the mail account(s) individually. (including iCloud)  from SETTINGS - MAILS, CONTACTS, CALENDARS
    "Contacts" if chosen from the mail account (s) would add email addresses to your contacts.

    There's no way around it.  The former owner needs to erase the phone and remove it from their account as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515.  No one else can help with this, including Apple.

    It is asking if you want to delete all the iCloud contacts off your Mac (not in iCloud).
    Delete them. If you keep them you will have duplicates when you turn it back on. You will have the copy you kept and another copy when they resync with iCloud

    I am a newbie in web design. The website I am working on has a lot of pages, and from some of thouse pages the client wants to be able to track where the customer is lead from to the contact form. Example the customer is in the learning section and clicks on the link "click to learn more" they are taken to the contact form and when they submit the information that they arrived to the form from the "learning page" is passed on so that my client knows. Is anything like this possible? Thanks
