Able to su from root to ldap accounts but account passwords come back as incorrect otherwise?

Hi,
I've installed DSEE 11.1.1.7.2 and I set up a few test ldap clients, Solaris 10, Solaris 11, and Oracle Linux. From root on any of these boxes I can su to the ldap accounts but if I try to ssh or su - from one test account to another I get a incorrect password.
I also have a test Sun 7.0 Directory Server running and using the same Solaris 10 client I can do a ldapinit to it and authenticate fine with the test accounts. I'm using the same scripts to create accounts and passwords on both versions. I looked through the default password policies between the two and don't see any differences and I'm not getting anything showing up in the logs. Has anyone seen this type of issue before?

Have you run Connection Doctor? Click on Window in the menubar, choose Connection Doctor. If that indicates it connect to your ISP provided SMTP, and without Login, then it means that the Authentication of the SMTP should be set to None, and no Username and Password needed. Many times with cable ISPs, the SMTP is actually authenticated based upon the IP address of the modem there provide you, and attempting to use Password authentication will result in failure. Mail is different in this regard as it will not negotiate this, but requires your attention to it.
If Connection Doctor cannot connect, then more info is needed.

I upgraded to Windows 8. I had to download firefox. I signed in to my account but my passwords, bookmarks, etc. aren't there.

After upgrading to Windows 8 FireFox wasn't on my computer so I downloaded it. After downloading it I signed in to my account but my passwords, bookmarks, etc were not there. How do I get my profile back? I have changed my folder view to include hidden files. The only file in my profile folder is xxxxx.default with today's date. I do have my bookmarks on my iPad but I am afraid to sync for fear it will overwrite the ipad with the empty computer profile instead of the other way around. And I don't think my passwords are on the ipad Firefox - are they? HELP!

Are you entering a 10 digit number? Or, if it is not a North American number or you are not in North America, are you entering "+" followed by the country code and number?

Each time that you add or change the credit card details on an iTunes account a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

I have been able to import from our Panasonic NV-GS120 (DV) camera numerous times before using Imovie. However, now Imovie detects the camera, but when I go to push the "play" button to start the import process, the computer hangs. I have no idea as to why all of a sudden it doesn't want to work!

Test Your Camera on another Mac so that DV-in still works OK
Toogle in iMovie pref: Play-back via Camera (on<->off some times)
Other ways to import Your miniDV tape:
Use another Camera. There where tape play-back stations from SONY
but they costed about 2-4 times a normal miniDV Camera.
If Your Camera works on another Mac. Make an iMovie movie project here and move it
over to Your Mac via an external hard disk.
(HAS TO BE Mac OS Exchange formatted - USB/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange WILL NOT DO)
(Should be a FireWire one - USB/USB2 performs badly)

Sorry to say it is to easy to turn the 6-pin end of the FW-cable 180 deg wrong.
This is lethal to the A/D-chip in the Camera = needs an expensive repair.
(Hard to find out - else than import/export to another Mac ceased to work
everything else is OK eg recording and playback to TV)
Delete iMovie pref file may help sometimes. I rather start a new account, log into
this and have a re-try.

I therefore threw everything away and reinstalled iMovie from the HD. after tried to applied access control to some OID entry, user then can't see that entry from 3rd party ldap browster, and this is a expected behavior, but why the same user can see that entry from user management interface of OAM?

Hi Makson,
OAM's Identity Server binds to OID as a single user* (typically an OID admin, even orcladmin) and applies only those acl's that have been defined within OAM. So when you login to OAM as end-user X, the Identity Server (eg orcladmin) checks to see what rights within OAM have been defined for User X - but in this scenario any rights defined within OID are not applied to user X. By default, OAM end-users have no access to information in ldap (although the OAM Admins have full access by default).

They can provide some kind of way towards this solutions...
eg:
1) Accept my UK iPhone in India courier it to Purchased Place (Repaired it)
2) Accept my UK iPhone in India Take some difference assign me India iPhone.
3) Accept my UK iPhone in India give me any option to ugreade to iPhone 5 (Indian).
4) Accept my UK iPhone in India give me some Receipt (Courier me My new iPhone from UK).
5) Approve my VISA for going to UK again as it not easy for INDIAN to go there with some kind of this Reason.
6) Give the Postal Address where we can send our APPLE to get only Service and they can send it back to us if it got reparied.
As no one would like to go UK only to Purchase APPLE..
There are some personal reason they have to go to Other countries for ... and If some one is FAN of APPLE like me would do the same mistake that I have done..
7) If the APPLE wanted to serve their customer they would have get to the solutions with their excellent mind.
As far as I am concern I am just the USER of my FAV APPLE but.. .. I guess this policy would not keep me as the SAME FAN of APPLE as I am now...

Im deleting my mail account but it keeps coming back. I want to reset

It keeps coming up with a problem when i try to send mail. Not sure exactly why, so i deleted hubbys account but then it started coming up with mine as the issue(it was his before, kept trying to send with his server name)
Anyway, im actually on a mobile me trial so its a @me.com but obviously still shows as @mac.com.
I thought maybe i should see if i could update mail server but thats not the issue.
I delete my account then sign out of mail but its there when i click it again.

New OD server, client computers see Network Accounts, but no passwords work

I set up 10.5 server on my mini, set up DHCP, DNS, OD Master, etc. From the computer bound it to the OD domain, but when I click on the Network User account from the login screen on my MBP and type in my password, it just shakes, like the password is wrong, and it is not.
However, if I chose Other... and type in diradmin and the password, it logs in just fine. This leads me to believe it is just some sort of permissions issue, since obviously it can use the LDAP to authenticate the diradmin account, which isn't local on the MBP.
Any thoughts BESIDES blow away the mini and start over. I hate that solution.

No, I wasn't a recipient (as far as I know, because I don't know your email address). But I've gotten plenty of spam from compromised accounts lately. Spammers seem t target gmail, hotmail and yahoo. Which is why I have added 2 step authentication to my gmail account. I recommend that everyone who uses gmail do so. Expecially important if you use other google services such as google voice, google wallet or google's office tools.

Deleted user account, but account still shows up in Login Window

I deleted the user from the system preferences but it is still showing up in the login window. I restarted and rebooted. I even reset the admin password manually with rm/ var/db/.AppleSetupDone.
What do I do?
User V.K. helped a previous post but I am not sure if those instructions are specific to what the needs were of the person. I need an explanation for TERMINAL COMMAND.

Might be a corrupted preference file...
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following;
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginitems.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.loginitems.plist file to the Trash.
Reatart your Mac.
If that didn't help, move the com.apple.loginwindow.plist file from the Preferences folder as well, then restart.
