  • SAP ABAP Proxy - recursive data structure problem

    Hi,
    For our customer we try to bind SAP with GW Calendar using GW Web Services. We tried to generate ABAP Proxy from groupwise.wsdl file but there are problems: GW uses recursive data structures what ABAP Proxy can not use. Is there any simple solution to this problem?
    Best regards

    At least I don't have a clue about ABAP Proxy.
    You are pretty much on your own unless someone
    else has tried it.

  • ABAP Proxy doesnu2019t Work

    Hi all,
    We have problem about ABAP Proxy (Inbound). We are using a follow scenario:
    Legacy ( JDBC )    ->   XI  ->  ABAP Proxy ( ECC Backend )
    Recently The ECC Backend was updated  ( only data ) , and since than the ABAP Proxys  doesnu2019t work.  We tested other Adapter, we used Receiver RFC Adapter, and RFC Adapter worked.
    We tried a lot of thinks, we regenerated ABAP Proxys, We activated Proxys, taken Refresh Full CPA Cache, we checked SCIF, SMICM, and we couldnu2019t solved the issueu2026..
    Could you help us????
    Thanks!!!

    Hello,
    i think for this scenario..you have used XI adapter.
    Check HTTP service number.
    It should be same as in:
    In SAP R3, Transaction - > SMICM : goto->services -> ..you will find HTTP service number..Use the same in XI adapter.
    or
    Execute transaction : SPROXY
    goto-> connection test.

    Hi,
    Proxies communicate with the XI server by means of native SOAP calls over HTTP .RFC does not, so you have to convert from SOAP to RFC calls and vice versa. So XML conversion is required.
    ABAP Proxies uses Webservice and Http Protocols. And if you use RFC it is mainly meant for Sync. call. But Proxies is used for both Sync and Async.
    If you use ABAP Proxy , you can reduce the overhead calling the function again and again.

    Re: JDBC Sender select/update problem
    If u generate proxy for outbound interface then its client proxy and for inbound interface its server proxy.
    In client proxy u can call the method to send messages but u can't modify it but in server proxy its possible to write a user code within the method to execute proxy.
    CLIENT PROXY:
    A WSDL description from a UDDI server (or an Internet page) is usually used to make a service executable in the Internet and to describe the interface of this service. You require a client proxy and not a server proxy to call this service by using the Web service infrastructure.
    SERVER PROXY:
    You can only generate ABAP server proxies from a WSDL description if they originate in the Integration Repository.You can also generate server proxies for Java and client proxies for ABAP from message interfaces.

  • Advantages of  ABAP Proxy ?

    Hi Folks,
    Can you suggest me , apart from ALE/IDOC and XI interface - what are the procedure to transfer data from sap to non sap and sap to sap? I heared about ABAP proxy. Can you provide some schenario based on ABAP proxy?
    Thanks in advance..!

    ABAP Proxy is one type of communication with XI/PI when IDoc communication is not possible and want forward the some specfic data from R3 to non-sap Via XI.

  • Doubts about my ABAP proxy scenario

    Hi everyone.
    I have this scenario. I think is simple but don't know how to do that. I have many questions for the forum.
    An abap proxy has to start a process in the XI Server.
    Data is stored in a R3 Backend and must be sent to XI Backend via ABAP proxy.
    Both backends are different machines.
    My doubts come here : how can data travel from R3 Backend to XI Backend ?
    Do i have to define something so ABAP Proxies know where to send the data (url, ip .. )?
    How can i define a ABAP proxy in a R3 Backend if integration repository definitions are in other machine?
    Another doubt is ... why i don't have to make a receiver determination or sender channel in XI? because XI is listening in an url that has been defined in R3 Backend?
    Regards.
    Inigo.

    HI,
    Suppose if you are creating ABAP proxy with the ta SPROXY in ABAP stack of R3.
    this is not backend.

  • SAP PI 7.4 SOAP - ABAP Proxy Synchronous Webservice

    Hi Everyone,
    I am developing the following scenario:
    3rd party makes a SOAP call to SAP (via PI) to determine whether a vendor exists or not in the SAP system. The link for the call is provided by us from the Integrated Configuration.
    The request comes in, calls an ABAP Proxy to check if a vendor exists and sends a response back to the SOAP call with a 'Y' or an 'N'.
    I've read a lot about various scenarios but I'm having trouble connecting the dots as I'm fairly new to PI. I'd appreciate any help.
    I've made the following set-up based on assuming I need separate Service Interfaces for the SOAP Request & Proxy Response
    ESR
    1. Message Types
         SOAP (MT_SOAP_REQ & MT_SOAP_RESP) - PROXY (MT_PRXY_REQ & MT_PRXY_REQ)
    2.  Message Mappings
         MM_REQUEST    which maps MT_SOAP_REQ   to  MT_PRXY_REQ)
         MM_RESPONSE which maps MT_PRXY_RESP   to MT_SOAP_RESP)
    3. Service Interfaces (Synchronous)
        (SOAP Request)
        SI_IN (Inbound Interface)       with Request = MT_SOAP_REQ and Response = MT_SOAP_RESP
       (Proxy Response)
        SI_OUT (Outbound Interface) with Request = MT_PRXY_REQ and Response  = MT_PRXY_RESP
    4. Operation Mapping
        OM_LOOKUP which maps SI_IN to SI_OUT with Request    (MT_SOAP_REQ  to MT_PRXY_REQ)
                                                                        and  Response (MT_SOAP_RESP to MT_PRXY_RESP)
    I create the ABAP Proxies for each Service Interface. SI_IN contains the required coded method to check if there is a vendor.
    I create the webservice and binding for SI_IN in SOAMANAGER
    At this point I'm somewhat unsure - what do I need to do for SI_OUT ? Do I need to create a logical port ? how is SI_OUT associated to SI_IN (apart from the Operation)  to get the response.
    ID
    In the Integration Directory I've created a SOAP_SENDER communication channel for System A and SOAP_RECEIVER channel for SAP.  For the SOAP Receiver I need to specify a URL - what should this be ? Is it meant to point to the web service for SI_IN in SICF or just to the generic http://host:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
    Do I need to use the HTTP_AAE adapter for the receiver instead of SOAP ?
    I created an Integrated Configuration for the SI_IN Service Interface with comm channel SOAP_SENDER from System A and SOAP_RECEIVER for SAP backend.  I then got the WSDL for this to provide to the 3rd Party to test (via SOAP UI)  . Again my concern is how is the SI_IN linked to the SI_OUT to achieve the response ?
    I appreciate you taking the time to go through this .  Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks very much
    Gary

  • Error while invoking the ABAP Proxy via SOAP Adapter

    Hi,
    My scenario involves SOAP Client invoking a webservice hosted in PI which in turn invokes the ABAP Proxy asyncronously.
    SOAP Client -> PI -> ECC (ABAP Proxy) . This works fine.
    Next , I have exposed the ECC Service Interface as webservice using SOA Manager transaction. Now, once the service is created using SOAManager, i replaced the XI Adapter with SOAP Adapter and provided the target URL as the URL provided by the SOAManager.
    SOAP Client -> PI -> ECC (ABAP Proxy via SOAP Adapter)
    With this approach, i am encountering the below error message
    2009-05-29 12:17:55 Error Adapter Framework caught exception: null
    2009-05-29 12:17:55 Error Delivering the message to the application using connection SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException.
    Any ideas on the above errror message? Any pointers or inputs will be appreciated.
    Thanks,

    This is a generic error message which does not have any information about the error which has occurred.
    Do you see any error messages in the SOAP client?

  • Error while executing sender ABAP proxy program in ECC

    Hi,

    Hi Naveen,
    We saw your solution about this issue. We are also facing same issue. I wanted to know where we have to update scenario as simple scenario or integrated scenario.
    And could you please tel me what is the main diff between in these two.
    As we are are using PI 7.31 java stack so for this version what we have to use.

  • Adapter specific message attributes in ABAP proxy

    Dear all,
    i have a short question. I have a file to ABAP server proxy scenario. When picking up the file i write communication data from the adapter in the message header using dynamic configuration and route the message to a abap proxy.
    My question is: Do i have access to the header data in the proxy, or do I have to make a message mapping and put the header data into the payload of the message?
    Kind regards

  • ABAP Proxy - No message in PI

    Hi experts,
    We are developing a scenario using ABAP Proxy to send an assynchronous message to PI 7.3.
    The problem is that the message is sent by ABAP code, but is not shown at SXMB_MONI.
    The routing objects were created at Integration Directory, but seems that PI is not processing the message sent by the proxy.
    Any idea about what may be wrong?
    Edited by: David Tiago Conceição on Jan 5, 2012 2:13 PM

    Hi David,
    you should catch exceptions and print them out like:
    data: l_sys_exception type ref to  cx_ai_system_fault,
          l_error_text type string.
    CATCH cx_ai_system_fault INTO l_sys_exception.
            l_error_text  = l_sys_exception->errortext.
            write l_error_text.
    In addtion monitor the ERP / PI queues at SMQ1/SMQ2 - may be will find the message there.
    Depending from the results we go further, may be the destination to PI does not work or proxy configuration is wrong or something else.
    Regards,
    Udo

  • Problem with Synchronous abap proxy time out

    Hi there.
    I have the following scenario:
                      sync                   sync
    3rd party <-->  PI    <--
    >  ERP
                       http                    abap proxy
    In the implementing class on the abap proxy i'm calling an standard BAPI, followed by a commit and returning the result.
    The 3rd party app has a mechanism that when a message fails, he'll retry each 5 mins until it gets the response.
    Last night there where some delays on ERP that cause the sync mesages to timeout, the 3rd party retried about 10 times to send the message until it finally went off. This morning i check and i have the same message 11 times on ERP!!, to my understanding if the sync comm timed out the process will abort and  the message will not be processed on ERP, does anybody knows if im missing some configuration for this to work this way??.
    Kind Regards,
    Roberto.

    Hi Roberto.

  • Problem Creating an ABAP Proxy based on a WSDL which uses extensions.

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to create an Asset in Salesforce using ABAP.
    I can generate the ABAP Proxy OK, (from the SalesForce Enterprise WSDL I created)  but the Asset definition does not exist.
    I think my issue stems from the fact that the SalesForce WSDL uses extension elements for the definition of Asset.
    I found the following notes on the extension element
    516072 - XI Proxy Generation (not really for abap)
    1386239 - Extention of complex type containing xsd:any (this is close but we are on  SAP BASIS Release 70 701 not 702
    Threads which talks about extension element not supported.
    Proxy generation terminated: WSDL error ( EXTENSION not supported)
    WSDL Error: Element 'extension' not
    Threads  which talks about how to modify the WSDL
    Creating ABAP proxy from WSDL fails when <extension> present
    Creating ABAP proxy from WSDL fails when <extension> present (but this is using xmlspy which I don't have and the instructions aren't clear to me)
    What I'm really looking for is
    1) Any Notes which I could apply in a basis 701 environment to enable creating abap proxies from wsdl with extension elements
    2) Any tips on how to modify my WSDL to remove the extension elements yet still offer the same functionality (i.e. I need to use the create function with a sobject of Asset (which is currently defined via an extension.
    3) Anyone who has integrated with SalesForce to create SalesForce objects (Accounts, Assets, etc) either tips on how to modify the WSDL or sample ABAP code as to how you got around the missing extension elements.
    Regards,
    John

    Hi John,
    couldn´t you post a section from your wsdl file which includes the type definition with an extension?
    I think you could remove the extension an copy all elements from the type definition which is extended into the new type definition.
    Here an example that you get the idea:
    <xsd:complexType name="PERSON">
            <xsd:sequence>
               <xsd:element name="firstName" type="xsd:string"></xsd:element>
               <xsd:element name="lastName" type="xsd:string"></xsd:element>
               <xsd:element name="ageInYears" type="xsd:int"></xsd:element>
               <xsd:element name="weightInLbs" type="xsd:float"></xsd:element>
               <xsd:element name="heightInInches" type="xsd:float"></xsd:element>
            </xsd:sequence>
         </xsd:complexType>
         <xsd:complexType name="femalePerson">
            <xsd:complexContent>
               <xsd:extension base="typens:PERSON" >
               <xsd:element name="favoriteLipstick" type="xsd:string"></xsd:element>
               </xsd:extension>
            </xsd:complexContent>
         </xsd:complexType>
    is going to be ->
    <xsd:complexType name="PERSON">
            <xsd:sequence>
               <xsd:element name="firstName" type="xsd:string"></xsd:element>
               <xsd:element name="lastName" type="xsd:string"></xsd:element>
               <xsd:element name="ageInYears" type="xsd:int"></xsd:element>
               <xsd:element name="weightInLbs" type="xsd:float"></xsd:element>
               <xsd:element name="heightInInches" type="xsd:float"></xsd:element>
            </xsd:sequence>
         </xsd:complexType>
         <xsd:complexType name="femalePerson">
               <xsd:element name="firstName" type="xsd:string"></xsd:element>
               <xsd:element name="lastName" type="xsd:string"></xsd:element>
               <xsd:element name="ageInYears" type="xsd:int"></xsd:element>
               <xsd:element name="weightInLbs" type="xsd:float"></xsd:element>
               <xsd:element name="heightInInches" type="xsd:float"></xsd:element>
               <xsd:element name="favoriteLipstick" type="xsd:string"></xsd:element>
         </xsd:complexType>
    Save your changes to a local file and use this to generate your proxy.
