About Adapter meta data

In IR Adapter objects are there, in that what is the Adapter Metadata ?
At what time it is useful ?
Edited by: Venkataramesh B on Feb 19, 2008 10:17 PM

Hi,
Metadata defines the part of a communication channel that is specific to the adapter type. The functions for creating and editing adapter metadata are intended for parties developing new adapters. It is a data about the data.
Its used for following the user interface in ID and save the configuration data in the database. The adapter metadata is an XML document.
In the adapter metadata schema, a differentiation is made between the sender/inbound direction and the receiver/outbound direction.
A sender adapter sends from the connected system to XI, a receiver adapter receives from XI for the connected system. The view is always that as seen from the connected system.

  • Soap Adapter meta data is not available in XI3.0

    Hi,
We are not getting SOAP Adapter meta data in Integration Builder. Inspite of that we have imported package as the XI content for Software version SAP Basis 6.4 (XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_00_00.tpz).
When we configuring one of our business scenario using SOAP Adapter. Integration Builder (Configuration), In Communication channel, Adapter type SOAP is not appearing.
    Any idea on this?
    System:
    XI 3.0, SP 10, OS: WINDOWS 2000
    Regards,

Pl check in the back end table at R3 side whether there is any records there or not and check with the functional team that they have entered data.
If data is there then initialize the set up tables and then check in RSA3

  • Doubt about idoc meta data

hi this is seshagiri. i have one doubt while in sending idoc to xi server in the idoc to file scenario, can we do with out configuring metadata in idx2.
if can we do means wat is the procedure.
    please clarify me
    thans & regards
    giri

    Hi Sesha giri,
If you are dealing with Idoc to File Scenario...you need to create
    1) RFC Destination in R/3 pointing to XI.
    2) Ports in R/3.
    3) PartnerProfiles
we need to send idoc from R/3...so we have to do ALE configuration.
Please see the below link for more details.

  • Question about meta-data of Web Dynpro ABAP / Web Dynpro Java

    Hello together,
everywhere I can read, that Web Dynpro meta-data is platform independent.
I´ve read into a book, that the meta-data of Web Dynpro Java is saved as XML and
that Web-Dynpro Java Runtime generates runnable classes and sourcecode out of this...
    - What about Web-Dynpro ABAP? Is Meta-code in ABAP is saved in XML too?
    - just for theory: is ist possible to take the meta-data of a Web-Dynpro ABAP component and
generate a Web-Dynpro Java Component out of this?
I tried to find it out but i failed... In table WDR_RR_LOAD (is this the right one?) I found only the
field data. But this is a RAWSTRING and I don´t know how to make I "readable".
I must know this for my thesis for my studies, not for work.
    Thank you very much !!!!
    Greetings,
    Oliver

    Me again,
I am not sure if I understood it right...
The meta-data which describes the visual part of a view is saved as XML and
would be rendered i.e. in the webbrowser... Right?
What about the meta-data of the Web Dynpro application?
Is this meta-code into an other structure or XML too?
    Thank you very much.
    Many Greetings,
    Oliver

  • Adaptor meta data &mapping templtes

    hi
    1. explain about adaptor meta data &mapping templtes what does use with them?

4.describe about sap xi 3.0 like SP's what are types
    5.about content
pls give details mentioned above .
    thanks & regards

    >>1. explain about adaptor meta data &mapping templtes what does use with them?
Adapter Metadata is the foundation configuration for the Adapters used in XI for message transfer. The functions provided allow either the creation of new Adapters or the modifications of existing ones.
Just like you can reuse data types in different message types, you can also save parts of message mappings as Mapping Templates and reuse them elsewhere. Once you have saved a mapping template it serves as a copy template that you can then load into other message mappings and modify to fit your requirements.
    >>2.what is exchange fault data and exchange log data under data types
Fault message types contain data types defining application errors. Application errors are errors that occur on the inbound side of a message transfer when the application could not process successfully.
    >>3.what are web as apart from 6.2 and 6.4?
The Web Application Server is a platform for efficient development and allows you to implement Web applications. It builds upon proven and stable application server
technology and Internet-based infrastructure from SAP.
    >>4.describe about sap xi 3.0 like SP's what are types
    check http://service.sap.com
    >>5.about content
The contents of the Integration Repository are collectively known as XI Content (Process Integration Content); XI content is the integration knowledge that is required for describing collaborative processes (collaboration knowledge).
For an overview of the XI Content currently provided by SAP, see SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/solutions  -> SAP NetWeaver  ->  SAP NetWeaver in Detail  ->  Process Integration  ->  SAP Exchange Infrastructure  ->  SAP XI in Detail  -> XI Content Catalog.

  • The meta data is updated externally on my window home server

When I moved all my images from a Netgear NAS to my new fileserver running Windows Home Server 2011, LR complains about that meta data is externally updated.
This causes problem for me because I prefer to write XMP to the photos. LR do not write XMP when meta data is externally updated. I must do this manually.
Is there a solution for this? I think I have to turn som process of in my Windows home server, but don't know which.

hey jessicats86, please enter '''about:config''' into the locationbar of the browser (you might have to confirm the info message in case it shows up) and search for the preferences named '''browser.download.dir''' & '''browser.download.lastDir'''. right-click each of them and reset the value to the default. then restart firefox and try to set the download folder again in the options panel.

    Hi,
You need to import SAP BASIS Software Component Version into Integration Repository according to your SP.
You need to download it from service market place.
    https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000001943&_EVENT=SEARCH&HIDE=&SEARCH_SPAT=X&SEARCH_BPAT=X&SEARCH_CD=X&SEARCH_P=X&SEARCH_PV=X&SEARCH_C=X&SEARCH_CV=X&SEARCH_TA=&SEARCH_V=&HIDE_EXPERT_SEARCH=X&SEARCH_MAX_RESULT=20
In Search Term Enter "SAP BASIS <version>".
Now click on XI CONTENT SAP_BASIS 7.00 -
    > Database independent -
    > SAPBASIS13_0-20000888.ZIP Just save this file on your machine and unzip it.
Now put this in the import directory: \usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\repository_server\import\
In IR, TOOLS ---> Import design objects and import it.

  • IDOC ADAPTER Issue, some meta data loads, some doesn't

    Hey all,
I just started trying to setup the IDOC adapter connection between our R/3 system and our XI system. I decided to try and pull in some meta data via IDX2 to start. The weird thing is that I get some IDOC structures successfully, but not others. I think it has to do with some requirnments that I am missing on the R/3 side. For instance, outside of setting up the RFC connection, creating the tRFC port and the partner profile for the Logical system what else is needed. Do I have to assign the basic type to the outbound partner profile to access it? Do I have to actually create IDOCS for the basic type? Just curious. Here are the details of what I have done so far. A lot of this I pulled from other peoples postings here on the forum, I think I am just missing a few steps!
Our current configuration is as follows:
SAP R/3 Enterprise to post IDOCs to XI .
    - R/3 Configuration:
    logical system created: DXICLNT200
we20 : Partner Type LS: partner number: DXICLNT200.
we21 : IDOC Ports: Transactional RFC: Port name: DXICLNT200. IDOC record type SAP Release 4.x. RFC Destination : DXICLNT200
sm59 : create RFC destination : DXICLNT200. Target host: the XI box. Logon security: Client 200. XIAPPLUSER. PASSWORD (for XIAPPLUSER). Testing the connection works.
    - XIHOST Configuration:
sm59 : created RFC destination to DDSCLNT210. Gateway options used, NO Client or User specified, are these needed, if so, is there a particular user to use.
    Test connection works.
    IDX1 : Created Port - DDSCLNT210. client 210. RFC destination DDSCLNT210.
IDX2 : Able to load metadata for IDoc Type CHRMAS01, of port DDSCLNT210. NOT ABLE TO IMPORT CREMAS03 or MATMAS03!
    Any help is greatly apprciated!
    Thanks,
    Chris

There was a problem in the RFC connection, the target host was not populated correctly. All meta data can now be pulled.
However, I am curious about where the meta data for CHRMAS and CLSMAS came from. the RFC connection was NOT working, so where could it have pulled this information from????

  • Invalidate Adaptive Web Service Meta Data Cache?

As the subject says - how can I invalidate the Adaptive Web Service meta data cache?  Currently, the only way we can invalidate the cache is to restart the app server, which takes quite a while.
I've tried restarting the Web Dynpro Runtime service, but this didn't do anything.
    We're running nw70.

    Hi,
    Please consider the following:
For JCO Models running on NW 7.2 you go to:
    1) NWA
    2) Availability and Performance Management --> Resource Monitoring
    3) JCO Monitoring
    4) Metadata Cache
    5) Click on clear of the desired cache region.
For WebServices Cache, please follow the instructions as per notes below:
Note 1088382 - WSIL results are cached after search
Note 1123574 - Caching functionality of the Web service connector

  • Meta Data About Query

    Hi Friends,
If we create a query , where meta data about this query will be  stored ?
was it stored in bi server ,if it stored how can we find?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ramnaresh.P.

    Hi,
Meta data means data about data
it will show the technical information, description and graphical view of any object which is a part of Business content or activated objects in BW.
The meta data will be stored in the meta data repository,
To see the meta data > go to RSA1 > Meta data repository > you can see the Business content objects and activated objects.
if you have a technical name for the query , you can find out and double click on the description of the query, for which you want to see the meta data and you can anlalyse here.
you can also use RSRT t.code to see the information for the query.
i hope it will be helpful for you
    Thanks and regards.

  • Anyone know anything about Meta Data?

I'm just finishing up a large project and getting ready to deliver it and I have been asked to deliver the "Meta Data" files? I'll be totaly honest, I have no idea what they are or how I get them from FCP!
Can anyone explain this to me please?
Also, is it something I need to do for every sequence I have in a project or is there just one meta data file for the entire project?

They sent this over, which also asks for an MD5 Checksum...again something I ma not familiar with at all

  • Extended Meta data date / time shift

Up to know it seems that Lightroom 3 can only enter a new date / time for the Meta data creation / change / modify values. Or it can shift the time in 1 hours steps to correct time zone problems whitin a define +/- range.
Now imagine about that I have image files from different cameras about the same event and the internal camera time is not the same at all camera, means, than e.g. one camera time is 20 minutes late (-20 min) compared to another camera. Of course, then I could enter a corrected time for the creation time in lightroom directly. But should I do that for 300 images???
I need an extended function of the date / time modification:
It should be possible to make a batch modification of all selected photos of +/- hh:mm:ss to adapt the images of one camera (which had a wrong interal time setting) to the real time or at least to a time of another camera (of course you have to know the exact time difference between the camera times).
Such a function is currectly provided by the little software EXIFTool - but it's not nice to handle the image files outside of Lightroom just to modify the time. And Lightroom already has a function for this - but it's possibilities are not good enough.
Please implement this as soon as possible.
    Best regards,
    Jochen

    Hi robtes,
thank you very much for the hint! I always thought that all selected images would be set to the same time if I use this function.
I guess then this is just a GUI problem. It should be somehow visible that in the grid view all selected images are shifted with the same amount of time. Additionally it would be an advantage to see how much time (+/-) it is shifted.
Nevertheless, it could have saved allot of my time if I knew that before. I tried to find something in the German help - but I didn't find the information you gave to me.
Finally this is a point which can still be improved.
    Thanks again,
    Jogi73
