About Apple Aperture 3 Full Version (Mac)

In Apple Aperture 3 for Mac can i be able to PhotoStitch Photos in the Apple Aperture 3 Software? Or can it do PhotoStitching is what I mean? I Bought a 24inch Apple iMac Computer 1 Year ago & i did not get Apple Aperture 3 in My iMac cause i did not choose it i'm thinking of getting it but not for $200 i can get it cheaper on ebay.com cause i'm tight with money at the moment so please tell me what it can do? also I have a Canon PowerShot A2100 IS Digital Camera will it work on Apple Aperture 3? or What kind of Software can i use? please help me,
From Byron

Does your camera allow you to shoot in Panorama mode? I have a Canon and when I choose that, I can shoot several pictures in a row. Canon supplies the software called Stitch Assist which works on a Mac and it works like a charm. So you have to check if your camera has that capability; if it doesn't, then check out the doubletake as suggested. Aperture will not do any stitch assist; it is only for adjusting photo colors, digitally enhancing, etc. And, be very careful buying something like that on ebay: a great percentage is pirated/fake/illegal - only buy it if it is advertised as a new, still factory shrinkwrapped package. There are several sellers right now who advertise a full version, but only email you a fake/illegal serial number.
Edit: And you don't have to worry about your camera working with Aperture or the Mac - most pictures are in .jpg format. The easiest way is to put the memory card in a USB card reader and using that to transfer the pictures to your computer (saves camera battery wear). I always do that; as soon as I plug in the card reader, I get the icon on the desktop and then pick which pictures I want to keep (drag onto desktop) or throw away. If you temporarily drag them to the desktop, you can then decide which application you want to use (Aperture, iPhoto, or whatever) to adjust colors or whatever.

I purchased Aperture 3 full version from Apple.  It is more than I need and really want.  Do you know if I can resell it or gift it to another person?  I have deleted from my Mac.  Essentially can I unregister it?   I really don't like it.

You can make a one-time transfer of the license (either as a gift or sale) if you are the original purchaser (which it sounds like you are).

Note - I am assuming you are referring to the boxed retail version. Make sure to take note of the paragraphs concerning 'NFR' (Not for Resale) and Academic versions as those are either not permitted or limited transfers.

  • Are Apple apps the full versions?

Are the apple apps available the full versions (Keynote, Aperture, etc). Is there any benefit to buying from Apple Store...why the cost difference?

I had occasion to look at the Usage Rules for the Mac App Store today while posting on another thread and read this:
+MAC APP STORE PRODUCT USAGE RULES+
+Except as otherwise set forth herein,+
+(i) You may download and use an application from the Mac App Store (“Mac App Store Product”) for personal, non-commercial use on any Apple-branded products running Mac OS X that you own or control (“Mac Product”).+
+(ii) If you are a commercial enterprise or educational institution, you may download a Mac App Store Product for use either (a) by a single individual on each of the Mac Product(s) that you own or control, or (b) by multiple individuals on a single shared Mac Product that you own or control. For example, a single employee may use a Mac App Store Product on both the employee’s desktop Mac Product and laptop Mac Product, or multiple students may serially use the Product on a single Mac Product located at a resource center or library.+
+(iii) Use may require sign-in with the Apple ID used to download the Mac App Store Product from the Mac App Store. Mac App Store Products can be updated through the Mac App Store only.+
I'm just checking to make sure I don't post incorrect information; but this excerpt appears to allow sales to commercial enterprises?

  • Question about converting trial to full version.

    Hi there,
    I have 2 questions:
    1.
Currently I am using Framemaker 7.2 trial version. I have the licence code for Framemaker 7.2. I found out from the Adobe website (http://www.adobe.com/support/service/trial.html) that I need to Activate the trial product for it to be converted to a full version but I do not see any Activation button when I opened the trial version. How do I convert from trial to full?
    2.
After Step 1 above is done, how do I upgrade version 7.2 to version 8?
    Thank you.

You cannot purchase FrameMaker 7.2 anymore, you can buy FrameMaker 8 from Adobe Store.

  • Aperture crash - where to download full version

    Hi,
I transfered my Aperture from a different computer and now it is not working at all anymore. When I log in my apple account it shows the serial number of my Aperture but no download available.
Where can I download a full Version of Aperture 2.1.1.
    Thanks foryour help
    R

simple apps are easy to transfer
Pro apps are very complex and is NOT recommended to transfer as there are files all over the place and using multiple framework systems
also most of the apps (FCS or Logic) ARE HUGE! multiple DVDs
Aperture is good in that there is a downloadable trial that is fully upgradeable to a full version as long as you have a full serial number
don't know why you can't download the software but it is there at http://www.apple.com/aperture/trial/
just put in your full version serial
also there is no need to install the older version (v1) to be able to upgrade to (V2) as apple is making full version installers for upgrade versions which makes it easy to upgrade a new system (Ya Apple)

  • What are the bad things about Apple Remote Desktop

What are the bad things about Apple Remote Desktop? Need it for my assignment

Is your assignment about managing a classroom full of Macs?
Otherwise, Screen Sharing, or a VNC client/server, or TeameViewer.com, or LogMeIn.com might be better, and less expensive.
ARD is intended for managing a classroom or office full of Macs. It is overkill for remotely accessing a remote Mac or two.

  • Full Version of Aperture

I noticed that there is a huge price difference between the boxed version of Aperture at the Apple Store and the Download version at the Mac App Store.  Is there any difference in the programs?  Is the boxed version a fuller version?
    Thanks,
    -Nancy

If you bought from the AppStore, you can install it on up to 5 Macs you own, provided it is for personal use. Just download again from the App Store on your other machines, using exactly the same apple id as you used when you bought it originally.
If there is an older Aperture version on that Mac you need to deinstall it first, or at least remove it from the Applications folder.

  • Aperture trial to full version

I have been using the aperture trial for 26 days, and I'm gonna get the full version, my question is, should I get the box, or the activation code. I ask this because I have some projects set up as well as a vault and I don't know if when the trial ends, I'll lose this stuff. Will that happen...also, is the documentation that important? I bought the Apple Pro Training series book, Getting Started with Aperture...do I need everything else that is bundled? Thanks
    1.83 ghz 2gb RAM MacBook Pro 100gb hd + 250gb external hd   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

And if all else fails, just backup ApertureTrial.dmg to a CD. (132MMB dmg will fit on a 700MB CD easily) That's version 1.5.0. Then just download the update and you're back.
Actually you might be able to download the updater as a standalone and back that up on the same CD.

  • Move from trial to full version of Aperture 3

I have been using the trial version of Aperture 3 for a week now, and I am really impressed with it. I would like to buy the App version from the App Store. What is the best way of doing this? Do I have to remove the trial version and then purchase and install the App version, or do I just purchase and install the App version and it will overwrite the trial version? I have read a few threads where someone went from the trial to the full version and because of the way then did it, it could not accept updates because it was still being seen as a trial version. I am still new to Apple and not comfortable with the way Macs handle software installation and removal. Any help will be appreciated.

We're in a kind of limbo with Aperture right now because of the transition to the Mac App Store. Logically that BUY link should take you to the MAS and let you buy from there without having anything else to do. But I don't know if they've changed it to do that — you'll have to try and see for yourself.
What may happen is that it'll work like it did before and you'll instead get taken to the Apple Store and be offered the $199 full version or $99 upgrade. Which is a little odd and — I have to agree with you — very un-Apple.
Basically there are two versions of Aperture 3 floating around: the $79 MAS version and the $199 Apple Store version. Both are identical in function but the $199 version still works with a serial number. You also get a DVD but frankly I haven't used an Aperture DVD since version 1.5 (I've been downloading the trial and purchasing a serial number upgrade since then).
    Confusing? Yeah, it is.
But unless you want to pay more for the same thing, I'd go with the $79 MAS version. You might not even have to delete the trial but it's just a precaution in light of certain stories on this forum. Deleting the trial application won't affect anything you've done with Aperture 3 until now so don't worry, it's really not a big deal.
    Best

I have upgraded Apple Aperture from version 2 to version 3 and I'm having a problem with the "Highlights and Shadows" adjustment. According to the user's manual, I should have access to an advanced disclosure triangle which would allow me to adjust mid contrast, colour, radius, high tonal width and low tonal width.
If anyone has any suggestions as to how to access this advanced section, I'd be most grateful.

    Hi David-
The advanced adjustments in the Highlights & Shadows tool were combined into the "Mid Contrast" slider in Aperture 3.3 and later. If you have any images in your library that were processed in a version of Aperture before 3.3, there will be an Upgrade button in the Highlights & Shadows tool in the upper right, and the controls you asked about under the Advanced section. Clicking the Upgrade button will re-render the photo using the new version of Highlights & Shadows, and the Advanced section will be replaced with the new Mid Contrast slider. With the new version from 3.3 you probably don't need the Advanced slider, but if you want to use the older version you can download it from this page:

    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
If the new version has an uninstaller run it first. Othewise with Mac OS drag the app to the trash and empty the trash. Do an install if a dialog box asks if you want to replace or keep files with similar names choose replace.
