About Boolean property operation

Actually Im having a boolean array,In that i want to change the bolean text (instead of ON & OFF) for each element ,the boolean text may differ for each element

Hi LabView5,
this question is abou an array and not about booleans
In an array all element have the same properties - their only difference is the value! No way to change this!
But you can make cluster of booleans with different properties per boolean...
Btw. why do you open new threads when the questions don't change? Stick with your old one!
Best regards,

  • Populating values in Boolean Property

    Hi ,
    I am working on version 11.1.2 . I have created a Boolean property - 'Country Flag' . Made that property as Defined , Boolean and Local Node.
    I am trying to import a file with this property value as 'TRUE' . But in the imported hierarchy , this boolean property does not show up any value(True / False).
    The below is the file i am trying to import-
    [hier]
    Product|P000000
    [relation]
    P000000|NA|Total Product|True
    P100000|P000000|Cars|True
    P110000|P100000|Hatchback|False
    P121000|P110000|Yaris|True
    P121100|P121000|Yaris - 3 Door Liftback|False
    The last value does not get populated in the hierarchy in DRM.
    Please help in this
    Thanks.

    Hi ,
    I visited the link - http://otndnld.oracle.co.jp/document/products/epm/111200/E-17236/epm.1112/drm_1112000_readme.pdf
    Its mentioned there that this is known issue
    Defect no - 9450750
    Imported hierarchy-level properties of type Boolean do not get set.
    But in my case I created a local node property and not a hierarchy level property so does this defect applies to local node properties as well?
    Thanks for the clarification in advance!!

  • Use of boolean property node in LabView 6i

    I am running LabView 6i version 6.0.2.
    I am using a reference to a front panel boolean control to stop the execution of a state machine in a subVI.  The subVI has a property node linked to this reference.  This property node shows that it is "Bool", but when I set the property node's element to "value", the value is not a boolean type.  I can't figure out how to set the boolean property node's element so that I can read the state of the boolean control.  How should I configure this?

    The data type of the value property is a variant.  It is possible to convert a variant to a boolean, but you probably don't want to do that.
    The reason is that you have the mechanical action of the boolean set to "latch ...", and that means that the value property isn't very useful.
    Change the mechanical action to "switch ...", then the value property will be a boolean.
    Note that this means that you will probably have to reset the boolean programatically after the user clicks on it.

  • Boolean property export issue in DRM

    Hi All,
    We have a boolean property in DRM. In DRM 1.1.2, when we export this property to Database, it populates value as -1 for True and 0 for false.
    But in DRM 1.2.2, the values appear as TRUE/FALSE in the column in the database. Is this an expected change in the DRM behaviour?
    This is causing problems in our integration logic.
    Any help on this would be appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Prasad

    Hi Shashank,
    With the latest patch .306 and a series of prior ones , its more like the Character encoding sets have started working in DRM and they will slip in special characters here and there, I have faced this with the latest releases of DRM.
    It would be advisable to use US ASCII encoding or Western European Windows.. that should solve your issue.
    If you have to make changes on all the exports and if they are too many in number then search xml tag
    <drm:CodePage>20127</drm:CodePage>
    and make sure the code page is 20127 which represents US ASCII.

    Hi All, I have question about the iMac operating system. I have the last updated. The problem when I manage the place of the folder windows they are all mixing up. I mean they not on the place where I left them. how to set they stay on the same place? I know there are different possibilities to set.
    I tried but it not helped for me. What I can do? How and where can set this they stay on their place?
    Thanks.

    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
    This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    Regards
    TD

  • My understanding about Calc Property

    Hello friends, I have a quick question about Calc property. My understanding is Calc=N(that means value is not calculated) would mean same thing as base members. As all non-base members are never calculated, Calc=Y always in non base members, is my understanding correct?
    Thanks.

    If you have set CALC = Y for a memeber you cannot send data directly to it. CALC property can be Y for the members which are at the parent level or baselevel members for dimension formulas have been defined.
    You'll not find much information on this property in help but you can check this link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bpc70/helpdata/en/4a/88580e1e01465f9ae876ffc46becd2/frameset.htm

  • Behaviour of the boolean XOR ^ operator

    Dear all
    I have a simple enough requirement for a method to return true if one and only one of four supplied parameters are true. I would have predicted that the XOR operator ^ would make this a very straight forward task thus:
         * @return true if exactly one of the given parameters is true.
        boolean xOrTest(boolean a, boolean b, boolean c, boolean d) {
            if (a ^ b ^ c ^ d) {
                return true;
            return false;
        }but this does not work in the following scenario (remember I want the method to return false because more than one parameter is true).
    System.out.println(xOrTest(false, true, true, true)); infact returns true. My question is, can someone explain why ^ behaves this way and can ^ be used to efficiently meet the requirement?
    Appendix:
    The following scenarios all work as I would expect and print false:
    System.out.println(xOrTest(false, false, true, true));
    System.out.println(xOrTest(false, false, false, true));
    System.out.println(xOrTest(false, false, false, false));
    System.out.println(xOrTest(true, true, true, true));The following scenarios all work as I would expect and print true:
    System.out.println(xOrTest(true, false, false, false));
    System.out.println(xOrTest(false, true, false, false));
    System.out.println(xOrTest(false, false, true, false));
    System.out.println(xOrTest(false, false, false, true));regards

    I wouldn't care about efficiency in this kind of methods. Only optimize,
    when you find out that this method is indeed a bottleneck, otherwise just
    write a simple implementation (simple implementations are usually easier

    But given that the prolem at hand is Boolean, why not make a simple straightforward approach:
    !((a & b) | (a & c) | (a & d) | (b & c) | (b & d) | (c & d)), which leads to
    !((a & (b | c | d)) | (b & (c | d)) | (c & d)) or
    boolean xor(final boolean a, final boolean b, final boolean c, final boolean d) {
      return !((a & (b | c | d)) || (b & (c | d)) || (c & d));
    }I consider this an acceptable solution, too.
    EDIT:
    No, not anymore! It may look nice and all, but is not quite XOR... so I apologize for being careless and not double-checking what I wrote (my "xor" returns true even if all arguments are false) -- sorry!
    This should (hopefully) be correct:
    EDIT2:
    <del>[...]</del>
    Aarrgh, but it's still horribly wrong! Made the same mistake twice, now I'll take some time to really think before totally embarrassing myself today...
    But I have to admit that JoachimSauer's solution is indeed simpler and is probably the right choice...

  • SharePoint 2010 - People Search Results - About Me Property

    Hi,
    Currently, we have About Me showing in our People Search Results page.
    About Me is a User Profile Property that allows Users to specify information about themselves. This Profile Property is an HTML property and therefore may contain links/URLs. When About Me contains links/URLs, they appear as proper links in the User Profile.
    However, in the People Search Results page, they just appear as plain text. We would like them to appear as actual links similar to the User Profile.
    Is there a way to do this?
    Thanks!

    Hi Seth,
    I do know it uses XSLT and have modified this XSLT before for Business requirements.
    However, I'm not even sure if my question is something that can be fixed thru XSLT.
    In XSLT, it is only 1 line that shows the About Me text:
    <xsl:value-of select='substring(hithighlightedproperties/aboutme,1,350)' />
    So I'm not sure if there's any way else to achieve what we want.

  • Add boolean property to user details

    I have created a km property with type "Boolean" and render "boolean" but UME card displays that property as text field.
    Portal: EP7.0SP16
    Does anybody know is it possible to render custom attribute(booleans) as checkbox?

    Hi
    You can add custom attributes for users in UME configuration.Separate each property with ;.
    These custom property only supports string ,so you need to convert them explicitly in your code.

  • About application property "Proxy Server"

    Hi,
    I have a question about the "Proxy Server" property in Shared Components\Definition
    Isn't the setting of this property a deployment node issue and not a application specific setting. I would see it similar to the e-mail server settings which are set system wide for an APEX instance. Any reason why it has to be stored for each application?
    Thanks
    Patrick

    Hi Scott,
    thanks for your reply. Haven't looked at this from that point of view that sometimes you want to use the proxy and sometimes not.
    Currently I just saw it from the point of view of an ISV which is doing the software development on a local systems and then deploys the application to the customer site. For example our environment has another proxy server than the customer site, which is always something which has to be considered when an export/import is done.
    A possible solution for your good arguments why someone may wants to have application level/url specific settings and still be able to remove it from the application definition and define it globally on instance level (by the administrator and not the developer) would be to have a look look at how browsers handle the proxy stuff.
    What I have seen from IE and FF, they offer the possibility to define a comma delimited list of domains/URL patterns where the proxy should NOT be used. With that additional property the administrator could define that for example for some internal domains/URLs the proxy should not be used.
    I would also suggest to replace/enhance the existingAPEX_APPLICATION.G_PROXY_SERVER to have a
    FUNCTION get_proxy_server
      ( p_url IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL
      ) RETURN VARCHAR2;where you can pass the URL you want to call and which returns the proxy server property in the case if the URL needs a proxy, otherwise it will return NULL.
    I think that could make the proxy handling quite flexible and also easy for the developer if he needs to use the proxy setting in his code.
    Maybe John could also contribute some valuable input from a hosting provider point of view.
