In BPM merge of two files scenario based on the correlation we merge two files and send to target, but my requirement is if any message comes then that data goes to target.

  • Problem in merging two files using BPM

    Hello Frens,
I am doing a scenario for merging of two files N:1 using BPMu2026
I have to merge two files into one file. The two input files are as below :
File1 : Id, Name, Age, Place
    File2 : ID, Street, Adrress
And output File is : ID, Name, Age,place, street, Address
For this scenario I have defined three datatypes , message types and  the message interfaces as below :
    For File1:  Mi_file1_ob, Mi_file1_abs
    For File2: Mi_file2_ob, Mi_file2_abs
    For output : mi_output_ib, mi_ouput_abs
In interface mapping I have selected two source interface and one targetu2026
For Integration process I have selected two receives as two branches of fork and transformation to collect them and a send..
In IR part I have defined three communication channels sender1, sender2 and a receiver . I have imported the integration from IP and rest is sameu2026
I am facing a problem for getting the outputu2026
When I checked in sxmb_moni  everything is fine  and sxi_cache and the return code is also 0 but I am not getting the outputu2026
Can anyone help me in finding out the problem..
    Thanks in advance...

  • Issue with Merging two files in BPM

    Hi,
I need to merge two files (Balance and transaction) with correlation is defined from ID, Date and Accountnumber..
Sometimes, when there are no transaction records, then balanace file will come up number "0"
    Balance file:
    MDk;1728;175;02.09.11;781961.09;0.00;0.00;781961.09;;;;;;;;;0
    MDk;8574;175;02.09.11;4462;1112;104098800;104102150;;;;;;;;;2
from the above file, two accounts..
MDk;1728;  --- with zero transaction record
MDk;8574;  --- with two transaction records
    Transaction file:
    MDk;8574;175;02.09.11;;DEBIT;;;;;-1112;;0;02.09.11;;;;20555;;;037;
    MDk;8574;175;02.09.11;;CREDIT;;;;;104098800;;0;02.09.11;;;;;;;099;
We are using Correlation to merge the files by using the fields (MDk;8574;175;02.09.11)
Now the issue is the BPM is not working as the correlation is not matching as the balance file consists of a row (with zero transaction record) which is not present in transaction file.
I have to ignore the first record in balance file as it contains 0 transaction data which means there are no records for this account in transaction file.
How can I delete those records before going to merge condition? Is there any thing i can do in balance file adapter?
    Any suggestions please?
    Thanks
    Deepthi

    Hi Ramesh,
This is the problem at the first step of the BPM where we will receive the files.
    Start> FORK (Rec1 & Rec 2)>TransforMap( Merge_to_targetfile )-->SendtoReceiver  -->END
It is failing at step1 (Fork), where the files are not matching according to correlation condition which we set.
    ie. ID, Date, Accountnumber.
As the transaction file doesn't contain the record "MDk;1728;175;02.09.11" which is present in Balance file, the correlation is not  matching. Hence it is failed. It is not even reaching to map
As correlation is mandatory to receive two matching files, it is failing here..

  • Problem merging two files in BPM

    Hi everybody,
I need to develop the following scenario:
    I have File_A and File_B.
    File_A:
xxx  0001 xxx xxx xxx ...
xxx  0002 xxx xxx xxx ...
xxx  0003 xxx xxx xxx ...
    File_B:
xxx 0001 xxx xxx xxx ...
xxx 0001 xxx xxx xxx ...
xxx 0001 xxx xxx xxx ...
xxx .... xxx xxx xxx ...
xxx 0002 xxx xxx xxx ...
xxx 0002 xxx xxx xxx ...
xxx .... xxx xxx xxx ...
xxx 0003 xxx xxx xxx ...
xxx .... xxx xxx xxx ...
After reading these files I need to send several IDOCs (REMADV) as follow:
In this case it would be 3 IDOCs:
IDOC1: One line from File_A and every lines from File_B related by the Key field with the File_A. In this case key field = 0001
    IDOC2: Key field = 0002.
    IDOC3: Key field = 0003.
In conclusion, I need to send an IDOC for each correlation between one line in File_A and several lines in File_B.
I tried to develop a BPM correlation with the second file but it didn`t work as the second field of the File_B is not always the same.
    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance.

    Carlos

  • Issue with BPM-Merging 2 files.

    Hi all,
I am facing one issue with my development object...it is a BPM scenario in which i am merging 2 files using constant correlation id...JDBC to File scenario...i am using 2 JDBC adapters at source side...the scenario is getting executed without any error and i am getting the output...but the output contain only the data in 1 file...merging is not happening and only one file data is displayed in the output...could someone help me with this issue???am i missing something here??any help will be really appreciated...
    Thanks,
    Lekshmi.

    Hi all,
As informed in my earlier post the same scenario was working with File adapters at source side.I figured out why it was working earlier.
Since i have generated the source files for the File adpaters i have added the name space as displayed in the mapping(highlighted in bold letters).
    <ns0:Messages xmlns:ns0="http://sap.com/xi/XI/SplitAndMerge">

But in the case of real time scenario data is pulled from database and the input file is created through JDBC adater i am getting the source message for mapping as :

Any idea how to resolve this one?

  • Question about BPM Merge

I’m working on SAP XI 3.0 and I tried to make a Merge with a Business Process.
I’m gathering many incoming messages with the same schema in a container in BP and after some time interval without new message I’m merging these messages in one with Multiple Mapping.
In this Mapping Inbound is my Multiple container and outbound is normal (not Multiple).
Interface Mapping is defined for Inbound Interface (from 0 to unbounded occurrence) and for Outbound only 1 occurrence.
When I’m testing that scenario with more then 1 files for exp. 3 I’m receiving after mapping transformation in BP 3 Outbound files instead of one in fast at the same time.
Can someone help me with advise?

  • How do I assign mapids to reference a merged chm file?

    Hello,
I am using RoboHelp 9.0.2.271 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine to create chm files. I have 2 chm files I would like to merge and be able to create mapids for context-sensitive help.
I created each chm in its own project directory with each having its own mapids setup. I would like to merge them for a special project and still be able to use the mapids. I merged them using the toc | new | merged project. I also have the merged chm as a baggage file in the first chm.
As far as viewing and searching after recreating the first chm, all appears to work with the toc also showing the toc of the merged chm.
However I can’t seem to get the mapids of the merged chm to work in the first (master) chm. I have seen other posts about similar problems but I didn’t see anything I can use.
Is there a way to create mapids to reference the topics in the merged chm when using the master chm? The mapid editor doesn’t seem to know anything about the merged chm file.
    Thanks
    John

Okay, yea I knew that you can create a static list, and I have tried this. Thanks for the input Frank!!
Currently I have a database attribute, Priority, which is a Number (1,2,3), but I want to display these values as Low, Medium, High respectively. I use this list in 2 places, first place is to filter a table based on priority, and secondly when I create a new row or edit a row, I need to be able to change the priority. If I use the approach you mentioned, and which I also tried using, I get stuck because on the new/edit row page this list is not bound to any source and when I try to edit the page, the selected value is ' ' rather then the correct value that was selected previously (I hope that makes sense). If I use the code that I had in my original post, it works fine, but the display values are 1,2,3.
What are my options on how to display the values correctly? And I wonder why the List Binding Editor doesn't allow you to display labels other than the labels you assign in the set of values (so in my case, my set of values is 1,2,3, because those are the valid values in the database)

  • How to merge/append two files in sequence using BPM

    Hi All,
My senario is to append two files data into a  new file on target system, only if the two files are available on source system. In case one file on the source system, no need to process file. Data in the new file should be in sequence means 1st file data then 2nd file data.
Please suggest me how can i achieve this functionality using BPM.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sreeni

For the first part (two files required) design as per Prateek's suggestion
Data in the new file should be in sequence means 1st file data then 2nd file data.
create a data structure which will be a combined structure of File1 and File2....target structure should have first reference for File1 and then for FIle2....than having two MTs (File1 and File2) at the source and the target MT at the receiver create your mapping......this will ensure that File1 data occures first and then File2 data.
    Regards,
    Abhishek.

  • Do we need to use fork to merge three files into one in BPM

    hi friends ,
I have to merge three files to produce one file in (multiplesenders to inbound scenario) ,dowe need to use fork in BPM if yes then how to use it please explain to me ,if not then what may be the solution. Please reply at the earliest.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vinay Yadav

    Hi Vinay
To Collect Files from one Sender:
There is ne need of using fork. U have a loop in the BPM and give the condition as counter 'notequals' 3 and have the receive step in it. Also have a two container variables within the loop one container variable is to collect the 3 files and the other container should be ur counter that determines the termination condition of ur loop.
To Collect File from Multiple sender:
U should have 3 receive steps within fork to collect the three files and also u should have a correlation to match the files.

  • BPM was Picking two files but it was not processing 2nd file data in target

    Hi all,
I have designed scenario for picking two files and i want to merge this files into single structure and send it target.when i am try to testing my bpm was picking two files but it is processing only file it went target system.i have steructe for source like
    source1     target
    root        header
    a           item 0 to unbounded
    b            a
    c            b
                 c
    source2     item1 duplicated structure
    a            a
    b            b
    c            c
i am getting two source files with the same structure but i have to map it one target structure and i want to map both source fileds to one target structre under item node so i was duplicated item node and mapped a b c fields from both(2 source structures).while testing BPM is picking two file bu in the target i am getting only first file data under item node, whatever i mapped with duplicate structure with second file i am not getting into target file(target is standard proxy structure so cant' create new one item node in that occurance is 0 to unbounded thats y i duplicated node while testing interface mapping its working fine).can anyone suggest solution for this problem.
    Thanks,
    Seshagiri.

    Hi,
In BPM follow the below steps and hopefully your problem will be solved.
    1.     Configure one sender CC to get the files from your application server, once the files hit the BPM now you need to
                         configure your BPM accordingly.
    2.     Use the Receiver step in BPM to receive the messages. Use the correlation step to get the correct files.
    3.     Use container and append the files, so both the files will be append, this means the message content will
have 1header, body, footer, 2header, body, footer.
    4.     If you want to split the message to different receiver then use the fork step else leave it.
    5.     Use the transformation step, the transformation step will call the message mapping. Provide the correct message
                         mapping.
    6.     Now use the sender step to send the message to the receiver-target system. In this step use the split value for each
concept if you want to generate two different files.
    7.     Configure 1 receiver CC to generate both the files.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Jay

  • Problem: Merging same Files into 1 File using BPM, Receiver File empty.

    Hi All,
I am trying a scenario where I need to merge two similar files into one single file (Append) using BPM
I am following the same structure as defined in the predifined BASIS Namespace i.e.  http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Patterns for Integration Process BpmPatternCollectPayloads. The only thing I changed is that inside my loop I am having a container dat counts till 2.
Now when m testing d interface, the file @ reciver directory is generating, but without any data i.e an empty xml is generating. PI is also not showing any error anywhere.
My Message mapping structure is as follows:
    Sender Side:
    <Message>    (1..1)
       <Message1>  (1..1)
           <MT_myMessageType>  (0..unbounded)
                    <Records>  (1..1)
                            <Id(Used for correlation)> (1..1)
                            <Name>   (1..1)
                            <Address>  (1..1)
    Receiver Side:
    <Message>    (1..1)
       <Message1>  (1..1)
           <MT_myMessageType>  (1..1)
                    <Records>  (0..Unsbounded)
                            <Id(Used for correlation)> (1..1)
                            <Name>   (1..1)
                            <Address>  (1..1)
    Can anyone plz help me.

Inbound Message after PE, is empty, so the Request Message Mapping (Technical routing) step is also showing a Empty XML without any structure.
So you mean to say The inbound Message for BPM -
    > File is empty?.....this clearly means that
    1) the transformation step in BPM is not producing the required XML
    2) some validation is imposed in the mapping...which if not satisfied is not creating the target structure.....
Can you ensure that the transformation step outside the block is working properly....and that your BPM design is exactly same as in BpmPatternCollectPayload (except the number of times the loop is executed)......
just few days back even i was stuck in a similar situation....the transformation step outside a Block was not producing a particular element in the target......i made some dummy changes in the mapping and then again included in the transformation step and then my BPM worked fine.......so the conclusion is either the data from block is not going into the transformation step or the transformation step is not creating the target.....

    Abhishek.

  • Two files - 'merge'

I caused myself a problem a couple of years ago when a disc failed and in relation to iPhoto I did a sloppy job of restoring everything from backups. It is so long ago that I cannot remember what, how and why I did it but basically I restored all the pictures but not the albums. As a result I have not updated/synchd my iPod or my AppleTV since as they both still have the entire list of albums which is essential for viewing and organization.
Yesterday I went back to the backup and restored the whole lot. Well that sounds pretentious! I copied the iPhoto file into my MacPro Laptop Pictures folder. Now I have the 2008 version of the iPhoto running on my laptop with the 2010 version running on my desktop system.
The 2010 version of the file has of course implemented Faces and that took some time - I don't want to lose that - but I do want the 2008 structure.
iPhoto '09 runs on both systems.
Anyone got any ideas about how I can with minimum hassle 'merge' the best of both onto my desktop? ie get the album structure onto the desktop iPhoto file whilst retaining the Faces info. All the 2008 photos are in the 2010 file.

The only way to merge two Libraries is with iPhoto Library Manager. This will also move files/events/albums from plus +all associated metadata and versions+ from one Library to another.
However, you appear to contradict yourself:
Now I have the 2008 version of the iPhoto running on my laptop with the 2010 version running on my desktop system.
    and
iPhoto '09 runs on both systems.
You need to have the same version of iPhoto on both systems

  • How to process two files at the same time using BPM

    Hi experts,
I have a Integration Process it takes two files one Header xml and one Lines xml. These files shoudl be processed at the same time because them will be mappend in a Idoc.
The realy trouble is that these inbound xmls never are executed at the same time. Then a IP is executed for each inbound xml.
    This is the IP:
    http://picasaweb.google.com/hose86/SapXi#5377539387476591346
    This is related documentation:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/cb/15163ff8519a06e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
I try to do all what I know, but It don't work fine :S
    Thanks in advance and Regards,
    Jose Antonio.

    Hi Jose,
Don't specify any end condition for  fork step and check the start process check box in both the receive step.
Also put all steps inside the block.. so that the control step in deadline branch can throw exception and after that the BPM ends. As per the design now, if a deadline exception is raised (it will b handled) but after that the transformation step and send step is executed. There the BPM fails.
