About CCX Web Chat and Socialminer

When agent receives a chat invation and accept it, the agent cann't login to chatroom and the customer is in waiting status. I have tried to restart socialminer XPP service and it is in started state. Here is the screen shot below. Does anyone know what's the problem?
The chatroom interface is grew and always in "connectting to chatroom" state. But I can handle this chat in socialminer web page.

Is the Certificate for Social Miner installed on CCX? Also I see the problem is with respect to the Chinese Locale. Is it happening to the English Locale as well? Are the Language packs installed?

After searching around for any pointers to my problem, the above fixes I listed were the things that came closest to maybe addressing the issue, that I was able to locate. But since none worked, and as you pointed out, it is now clear they will only help towards viewing sent images rather than helping with inserting any images in the body of the email, which is the problem I suddenly started facing today.
Coming to your suggestion, on opening the Write window, the Insert choice on the menu bar is indeed available. And I had already tried using that, by clicking on the '''Insert ----> Image''' option listed. That opens
up the "Image Properties" box but using that has not resolved the matter either. It results in an image box getting inserted within the email but without the actual image itself.
Plus, normally I am able to use the '''Paste''' function in the Edit menu or through right-click, but today the (Cut/Copy/Paste) functions have gone inactive, thereby disallowing me to use that to place an image within the email.

You need to use the search functionality of the supervisor/agent. The chat transcripts will be stored in the case details which can be printed off. You can search for things based on date/agent name/queue etc etc. You can read the agent guides below which give you more details.

BU Stance on CUIC and Social Miner (CCX Web Chat) on BE6000

Could the BU give the field some clarification on support of both CUIC and Social Miner (for Web Chat) co-resident on the BE6000 platform? Both applications require VMs and are a part of the CCX 9.0 release. These applications are not mentioned in the "gang of eight," however one could argue they do fall under CCX.

CUIC is within UCCX and is supported in BE6K no issues there. Social Miner is a separate VM and isnt' one of the supported apps from all the documentation I have seen. Social Miner is used for web chat but isn't really solely dedicated for CCX, It can also be used as a standalone app.

How can I copy cookies about some web site and paste them into a program's header?

You may know the programme called Teleport Ultra which allows us to download an entire web site and browse offline. There is a forum I want to download but it doesn't allow to see the pages without logging in. So I want to take the cookies after I log in to site, and put them to the programme. How can I do?
PS: I have to re-create it like "cookie: name1=value1 name2=value2;" in the program

Question about private web browsing and Spotlight

I was browsing personal webpages on a work computer using Safari's 'Private Web Browsing', but although Safari doesn't remember the pages, Spotlight does which is a little concerning!
I have excluded webpages from Spotlight searches but that doesn't mean the pages have gone. I have tried clearing my history in Safari and Resetting it, to no avail. Can someone tell me how to delete the webpages from Spotlight?

I checked on my computer and do not have this issue. And I have no website located somewhere on my machine, after cleaning / or resetting the browser.
In the "Safari" - Menu > below the "Private Surfing" > is "Safari Reset"
Maybe you should try this...

About java web start and *.jnlp

very strange. I can start it if I replace http://127.0.0.1/ with
file:///d:/ I copy the same .jar, .html, .jnlp to the www root, then my
browser can't start it, just display it as a text file. like the

-To make IE associate with .jnlp is the same way you set in the explorer.
-but i'm using Netscape which is my prefer.. I just set it in....
EDIT -> Preferences -> Navigator -> Helper Application -> [New Types]
then Set MIME : "application/x-java-jnlp-file" and Application to Use : javaws.exe (Java Web Start)...
ummm this should make Netscape See JNLP file and launch it with JWS...
PS. Ummm... I have to say that i'm newbie.. sometime i know how to make it works but i don't know how to make it work properly. So if somethings wrong, DON'T hesitate to give an advice. I really want to know how to make those work properly.

I try to configure agentdesktop ccx web chat, but I can't researc a sucess. I see this message at the top of my window. In English this means "Subsystems of chat isn't avaliable" or "Subsystems of chat is off". In my UCCX I have:

I can to create a chat manually without UCCX, but I cann't come in agentdesktop without "time-out mistake". My DNS is work without problem. I don't have errors of a certificate when I use domain name insted of IP-address. I can't find mistake despite of I did all how it was in the guides or ciscowiki.
Could you hepl me and give me an advice how I can solve my problem? What informaton must I show for getting an advice?

Please check the servives on UCCX:
CCX Serviceability -> Tools -> ControlCenter -> Network Services.
There are 2 services that must be IN SERVICE:
CCX Engine -> SubSystem Manager -> Chat Subsystem
Admin Services -> Cisco Unified CCX WebServices
If CCX WebServices is not running properly and you have installed the UCCX 9.0 base version (9.0.2.10000-71) then you may facing this Bug ID:
CSCuc70764 - CCX web services is in Shut Down mode
which is marked as Resolved on the UCCX 9.0.2SU1 (9.0.2.11001-24)
I've had the issue, have upgraded and they are up and running now.

Facebook chat and adium

hi,
I have a question about adium facebook chat and facebook chat I can log out of adium fine but my facebook stays logged in on the web page on chat when I want it to log out when I do in adium. Is there anything I should be doing to make this log out on the facebook chat too? Which is what Id thought it'd do. Thanks hope someone can help. I hope this is the right place to post. Id really like to be able to use adium for my facebook but I need it to work propley.

You may have clicked "Keep Me Logged In" ... you can change that.
You can reset this feature by choosing "Logout" from the Account drop-down menu located in the top right corner of any Facebook page.

Java Web Start and DeployDirector: What's the difference?

I am the product manager for DeployDirector at Sitraka (now part of Quest Software). I'm NOT in sales; I'd simply like to provide you with some information.
From talking with DeployDirector users and evaluators, and from my own discussions with the folks at Sun, I have discovered that there is great deal of confusion about the difference between Java Web Start and DeployDirector. I'd like to clarify this by periodically posting some information about the two.
Though the products seem similar in concept, they are designed for different purposes. They both deploy, auto-update and manage the JRE for client-side Java applications, but beyond that, they are quite different.
Java Web Start is ideally designed for applications deployed over the Internet, where application-provider trust is an issue. Why? The security sandbox guarantees that application can do no harm. (There's some good information about Java Web Start and sandbox apps on ScheduleWorld at http://www.scheduleworld.com/itsYourLife.html) Web Start's architecture simply consists of a client piece that interprets a JNLP file. Because of the sandbox and its simplicity, I believe JWS is best used for independent software vendors, independent developers, etc.
Because DeployDirector is ideally designed for internal enterprise applications, it does not enforce the security sandbox. Trust is not an issue here, because internal users typically trust their internal IT group. DeployDirector's architecture consists of both a client and a server piece, which allows us to support more complex deployment and update scenarios (e.g., scheduled and optional updates) and applications management capabilities like rollback, reporting, exception monitoring, authentication/authorization out of the box. All of this is configured through the DeployDirector administration console.
In some situations, DeployDirector may be unnecessary overhead. In other situations, Java Web Start simply does not provide enough capability and building in this into Web Start can be difficult.

I'm simply re-iterate that JNLP, and its implementations such as Web Start and OpenJNLP, are designed for a very different set of users that DeployDirector. The differences in functionality between the two products reflect that.
The enterprise has different requirements in a deployment mechanism for its internal, critical applications than software vendors and independant developers. DeployDirector addresses the requirements of the enterprise. Frankly, most of our recent customers only chose to buy the product after initially rejecting it and (unsucessfully) attempting to use JNLP and Web Start. Sometimes people only learn the hard way: different users have different requirements which are suited to different tools or technologies.

Cisco Unified CCX Premium - Web Chat Features

We would like to provide a system so that our Call Center Agents can chat with customers through our website. Similar to the way Cisco.com does it, where after you're on our site for a few minutes a little box pops up and asks the customer if they would like to chat with an agent.
What products do we need in order to facilitate this? We have the required Cisco Unified CCX Premium licenses and cisco.com shows that "Web Chat" is a feature that is provided by this license.

Web Chat is in 9.0, and you are entitled to it if you have Premium and are upgraded/upgrading to that version.
It requires SocialMiner - my understanding is that you get the 'agent' licenses for as part of your CCX Premium. What you don't get is the OS and DB software entitlement for the SocialMiner server, which you have to purchase. This is much like the old days when you got free 5-seat UCCX with CUCM, but had to buy the OS disribution and server hardware.

Web Chat Capabilities - Invitations and Mobile Support

We are using a chat provider that supports mobile devices as well as various rule sets applied to our site that will trigger an invitation to some customers based on their activities.
Does Cisco SocialMiner / Web Chat for UCCX 9.0.2 support this type of functionality?

That's up to the web developer, not SocialMiner/CCX. The user can manually submit the HTML form to begin a chat session and/or the website can trigger it automatically, pre-filling some/all of the form fields.

UCCX 9/SocialMiner Web Chat Agent Name

Hi,
We recently implemented SocialMiner in a DMZ to allow for the web chat support feature to integrate with our UCCX 9. I've run successful tests, but I have a question regarding the agent name that displays in the chat window. Currently, the agent name is showing as their Active Directory username, which is a first/middle initial and last name. Is there a way to change that so it only shows the First Name of the agent? We're concerned about privacy for our agents.

so i double checked and masking of "agent name "is not possible as of the moment by any configurable settings on UCCX
it will always show "
"Agent ID" + "(Customer Rep.)" in chat room"

Social Miner 9.0 and CCX multisession chat in CAD

Hi!
We want to use a Single CAD client using multi chat windows in the integrated webrowsers.
Of course we will use several Chat Agent-id's one per chat session. We know that in UCCX 10.5 there will be support for 2multisession chat" but until then we want to use several webbrowsers in the CAD for chat
Question: is this possible=?

Hi Mikael,
For Multisession you will need SocialMiner 10.5 with CCX 10.5. SocialMiner 9 will not work for multisession.
Please find the answers to your questions below -
1) We are working to deliver the feature to set aliases for agent which if set will land up in the customer page instead of the login id.
2) We don't have the auto trigger, what we have is a auto answer which suggests that no agent is available currently. This is notified as soon as customer sends the issue request.
3) We don't support this. However you can play with browser profiles and can launch multiple browser instances in different profiles and have multiple logins on stand alone browsers. This is not tested and I am not sure if the feature will work end to end.
