  • Stupid simple question about checkboxes

    Hi I have two fields in my form that I want designated as checkboxes... a user is either internal or not. I keep reading about checkboxes... that they return True/False or Yes/No. I have tried both, but cannot chenge the value of the checkbox or the database field associated with it. How do I
    A) get the value of the checkbox (checked/unchecked)
    b) change said value into a 'Y' or 'N' so it can be entered into our table?
    Here's the code I'm attempting to use:
    declare
    iProgSeq integer;
    Projno integer:=p_session.get_value_as_number(p_block_name=>'DEFAULT', p_attribute_name => 'A_PROGRESS_PROJECT_NUMBER');
    cActive varchar2(3);
    cInternal varchar2(3);
    begin
    cActive:=p_session.get_value_as_varchar2(p_block_name=>'DEFAULT', p_attribute_name => 'A_PERSON_ACTIVE_IND');
    cInternal:=p_session.get_value_as_varchar2(p_block_name=>'DEFAULT', p_attribute_name => 'A_PERSON_INTERNAL_IND');
    p_session.set_value(
    p_block_name => 'DEFAULT',
    p_attribute_name => 'A_PERSON_USER_ID',
    p_value => portal.wwctx_api.get_user
    p_session.set_value(
    p_block_name => 'DEFAULT',
    p_attribute_name => 'A_PERSON_ACTIVITY_DATE',
    p_value => sysdate
    if cActive = 'NO' then
    cActive:= 'N';
    else
    cActive:= 'Y';
    end if;
    p_session.set_value(
         p_block_name => 'DEFAULT',
    p_attribute_name => 'A_PERSON_ACTIVE_IND',
    p_value => cActive
    if cInternal = 'NO' then
    cInternal:= 'N';
    else
    cInternal:= 'Y';
    end if;
    p_session.set_value(
         p_block_name => 'DEFAULT',
    p_attribute_name => 'A_PERSON_INTERNAL_IND',
    p_value => cInternal
    doInsert;
    end ;
    --p_session.set_value(
    --p_block_name     => "_block",
    --p_attribute_name => '_STATUS',
    --p_value          => 'oops');
    --null;
    return ;
    Why are checkboxes (which you'd think would be pretty straightforward) such a pain?

    ANYONE?! This is urgent, please help!

  • Apply check tables to database tables

    how to apply check tables to database tables???
    plz help

    Hi
    Check Table: means the Table that contains the Primary key in the Foreign key definition.
    It has 2 important uses:
    1. To validate the inputs in the foriegn key field (For Eg: MARC-MATNR) with the values existing in the check table - Primary key field (Eg: MARA-MATNR)
    Here MARA is the Check table for the MARC-MATNR
    2. To provide the input help(F4) for foreign key field
    check table is the field level checking. we can use the Cardinality based on ur requirment.
    see the example.
    if ur using two tables like ekko and ekpo.
    ekko tables having the fields ebeln , bukrs and lifnr.
    here primery key is ebeln.
    ebeln bukrs lifnr
    101 1000 1000
    102 1000 1000
    103 2000 1001(this is entry for ekko).
    we want to insert the entry based on ekko tables.so ekko table is the ckeck table.
    ekpo table is the itam table.
    ekpo tables having the fields ebeln , matnr , menge .
    here forign key is ebeln.
    ebeln matnr menge
    101 m-1 10
    101 m-2 2
    101 m-4 18
    102 m-8 7
    103 m-5 8
    in ekpo table we can't enter other than ekko-ebeln value.
    so we can enter only based on ekko-ebeln table entries.

  • Applied Transaction Table for A/R Invoice

    Hi All,
    I am using SBO 8.8 PL15 i want the information of Applied Transaction against A/R Invoice.
    In Which table SBO stores information of Applied Transaction
    Regards,
    Bhavank

    Hi,
    As for the Applied transactions to the Invoice which we understood is the details of applied transactions when the user right clicks on the Invoice and checks Applied Amount.
    If the same is the what you are talking about then it is the reconciliation table which is the OITR/ITR1.
    If anything else, provide us with the example ie the applied transaction related to the Invoice and may be that could clear the issue and help provide a solution.

    Hi,
    After displaying ALV report output, if you want to update database table based on your selected record, then use the below logic in your User_command subroutine.
    You will get the index of the selected record in rs_selfield-tabindex. using this index read the respective record from the internal table and move corresponding field to the table fields and then update.
    data : wa_data like t_data.
    read table t_data index rs_selfield-tabindex into wa_data.
    if sy-subrc = 0.
       move-corresponding wa_data to ztable.
       insert ztable.
    endif.

  • How to count number of checkboxes selected from a table in sapui5

    Hi
    I have a table in which one of the column is checkbox.
    Now user can check 'n' number of checkboxes in the same column.
    So now i need to count the number of checkboxes selected in that column.
    how to do that..??
    Please help me on this.
    Thanks
    Sathish

    Hi Sathish,
    If you are using table mean surely you are binding the table to some model like JSON model. You can bind the checked value of the column with the checkbox in the template. So while checking you can directly check the property by taking the reference from the model. Navigate through all the objects in the model and check  the property you wanted.
    This is the logic I have used to get the checked property form the table column. My table id is "tableId" and it is being binded with "/tableModelData" of json model.
      var myModel = sap.ui.getCore().getElementById("tableId").getModel().getProperty("/tableModelData");
      for(var i= 0 ; i< myModel.length ; i++)
      var singleObject = myModel [i];
      if(singleObject.checked ==  true){
    your logic.

  • To get checkboxes in the results table of SEARCH page?

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a search form using 'Execute With Params', while doing this I am getting radiobuttons when I go for Enable Selections , but I want Checkboxes to be present there instead of Radio Buttons.
    And also when the page is displayed I want only the search parameter to be prsent and not the results table by default.How can I do that?
    Kindly tell me how can I acheive that?
    Thanks,
    ivaR

    Hi,
    a) create a table with no selection enabled. Then drag and drop the tableSelectMany component into the "Selection" facet of the table
    b) make the default vaue of the bind variable so that no value is returned by the query. Then on the render property of the table, set #{bindings.tableIterator.estimatedRowCount>0}. This hides the table if not query is issued

  • "own checkboxes" in Web with Table Interface?????????u00DF

    Hi to all experts,
    i have the following scenario:
    I am using a query in web. Well in the lines there is a characteristic (for example sales org) and in the columns a keyfigure with an exception and a top10 condition. I think exception and condition are not important for my problem but the table is. Now i want to see in front off all lines a checkbox.  That means i have - for example - now 10 sales organizations in my query and in front of all sales orgs there should be a checkbox. I think that should be realized with table interface. Now the user should be able to mark two ore more checkboxes to jump with the Report Report Interface by using a link to another Web report? Is that possible? Sounds hard i think or isnt it?
    Regards,
    M. Erbil

    Hi Memo,
    try the following. Create a template with a web item table. Than by using se24 create your own class for table interface. Change method DATA_CELL.
    method DATA_CELL.
    *CALL METHOD SUPER->DATA_CELL
    EXPORTING
       I_X                   =
       I_Y                   =
       I_VALUE               =
       I_DISPLAY_VALUE       =
       I_NUMERICAL_SCALE     =
       I_NUMERICAL_PRECISION =
       I_CURRENCY            =
       I_UNIT                =
       I_ALERTLEVEL          =
       I_IS_SUM              =
    CHANGING
       C_CELL_ID             =
       C_CELL_CONTENT        =
       C_CELL_STYLE          =
       C_CELL_TD_EXTEND      =
      data: l_cell_content type string.
      if i_x = 2 and i_is_sum <> 'X'.
        concatenate l_cell_content '<INPUT type=checkbox value=ON name='
        '' filter '' '>' into
        l_cell_content.
        c_cell_content = l_cell_content.
      endif.
    endmethod.
    You can hold the value from characteristic in method CHARACTERISTIC_CELL:
    method CHARACTERISTIC_CELL.
    *CALL METHOD SUPER->CHARACTERISTIC_CELL
    EXPORTING
       I_X              =
       I_Y              =
       I_IOBJNM         =
       I_AXIS           =
       I_CHAVL_EXT      =
       I_CHAVL          =
       I_NODE_IOBJNM    =
       I_TEXT           =
       I_HRY_ACTIVE     =
       I_DRILLSTATE     =
       I_DISPLAY_LEVEL  =
       I_USE_TEXT       =
       I_IS_SUM         =
       I_IS_REPETITION  =
       I_FIRST_CELL     = RS_C_FALSE
       I_LAST_CELL      = RS_C_FALSE
       I_CELLSPAN       =
       I_CELLSPAN_ORT   =
    CHANGING
       C_CELL_ID        =
       C_CELL_CONTENT   =
       C_CELL_STYLE     =
       C_CELL_TD_EXTEND =
    data: l_filter type string.
    Store characteristic value of current row
    if i_x = 1 and i_is_sum <> 'X'.
    l_filter = i_chavl.
    endif.
    endmethod.
    Please note that "i_chavl" holds the key value from characteristic.
    Now back to method DATA_CELL and insert something like this:
    filter = l_filter. "l_filter is set in method characteristic cell
    so it look like this:
    method DATA_CELL.
    *CALL METHOD SUPER->DATA_CELL
    EXPORTING
       I_X                   =
       I_Y                   =
       I_VALUE               =
       I_DISPLAY_VALUE       =
       I_NUMERICAL_SCALE     =
       I_NUMERICAL_PRECISION =
       I_CURRENCY            =
       I_UNIT                =
       I_ALERTLEVEL          =
       I_IS_SUM              =
    CHANGING
       C_CELL_ID             =
       C_CELL_CONTENT        =
       C_CELL_STYLE          =
       C_CELL_TD_EXTEND      =
      data: l_cell_content type string,
            filter type string.
      if i_x = 2 and i_is_sum <> 'X'.
    filter = l_filter.
        concatenate l_cell_content '<INPUT type=checkbox value=ON name='
        '' filter '' '>' into
        l_cell_content.
        c_cell_content = l_cell_content.
      endif.
    endmethod.
    Hope it works
    Regards,
    Adem

    The implementation is free of charge from SAP's perspective as you apply the note. Please make sure that you actually read the code and adapt to your needs if needed.
    The note exists but only as a pilot release and and customers will be added only if they really want the reports. SAP does not officially support it. I know it from first hand, I'm the one who releases it to the customers
