Coding block fields in recurring documents

I have a recurring document created with some coding block fields.During the entry (FBD1) ,those fields are open and was able to enter the data .During display (FBD3),the data is there.But when I posted some documents(Batch session) using the reference document,the coding block data is not populated on the actual document.I checked SAPF120 and SAPF120G programs and both are active.What could be the problem and why the data in those coding block fields are not getting populated on the actual documents?Thanks

I also facing the same problem of, how to add customer fields to Vendor/Customer entry screen. For me, i already check all field status that involve (for GL OBC4 and for posting key) and they are all optional.
I think it's about the screen number 0302 which will be used for vendor line item entry, while other GLs will used 0300. I already maintain the coding block but still don't know how the system works to use that coding block for the screens.

FB60 additional coding block fields

Hi experts,
In the SAP system of our client IS-Media solution has been implemented which has some extra coding block(ZZ-fields) fields that need to be posted to by FB60. However the transcation FB60 does not show these fields.
The underlying table structure ACGL_ITEM for the table control to enter the GL account line items has these fields available but they are not visible in the transaction.
How can we get the extra fields to be available in the transaction? Is it done through some configuration?

go to fb60 and on line item screen click on configuration on the right hand side , pop up will appear , click on administrator and check all the fields are present in this and also check whether they are invisible or not .

Question about Domain and Host name fields.

Hello! Just a quick question, I currently have the Mail Server up and running although I'm a little unsure about what exactly needs to be entered into the users email application.
I've tested POP and IMAP using the information that I entered into the "Domain Name" field, and into the "Host name" field, and everything worked great.
Example:
Incoming Mail Server: mail.example.com
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.example.com
Although while setting up another site and including the normal mail setup via DNS I've also noticed that I can send and receive email by using other sites that belong to me, as long as they are pointing towards our server.
Example:
Incoming Mail Server: mail.mynewsite.com
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.mynewsite.com
So, I guess my question is whether its bad to use other websites in the incoming and outgoing mail server fields, or should I stick to the incoming and outgoing sites that I have listed in the Mail Server's 'Domain Name' and 'Host Name' fields?

There is no intrinsic 'meaning' to hostnames entered into the mail client. These are merely converted to IP addresses, using available dns, and then the mail client communicates with the IP address, using whatever port number is applicable for the service required (e.g., port 25 for smtp, port 110 for pop). So you could use the hostname woohooo.mydomain.com for the smtp or pop server, as long as it resolves to the correct IP.
This enables laptop users to have the one smtp/pop hostname, with lan dns resolving it to the local private IP and ext dns resolving same hostname to wan IP.
There is also no need to have two separate hostnames for pop and smtp. These are typically used by ISPs because they have separate servers doing each job - one doing pop, one doing smtp. If one server does both (and there is no likelihood of splitting the services later) then just the one hostname for pop and smtp is fine.

Some question about coding block

Hi,
when establish a special purpoe ledger, a coding block field is established, but I can't find any new field in t-code oxk3. so I want to know what the fields such as SAP stand account assignments and Customer-defined account assignments mean in t-code oxk3. And is there any relations between these fields and speical purpose ledger?

Coding block issue

Hi Experts,
    I have added some fields to FI business according to technology coding block. There was no error message when I done this. But now some SAP standard programs dump and the system hints me that some standard programs have error code because of my modification. I did not modify the standard program,only use coding block to add some fields.
For example, The T-Code F.14,which calls the program SAPF120 dynamically, and SAPF120 has some error codes blow:

    FTC-FNAM = 'TIBAN-IBAN '.

I don't know how these codes generate?Any one encouter this issue?Could you please help me ??

Payment Block field in invoice displays 'Free for payment 'even though ?

Hi,
We have set necessary upper tolerance limit for Price & Quantity variance in OMR6.This should block invoice for payment in case if this limit is crossed and payment block field in invoice should display "R Invoice verification".
In our case if material is having standard price then we are getting desired results in both the cases of Quantity variance and price variance . However in case of material with moving average price it works fine in quantity variance but not for price variance(Here invoice gets blocked for payment but payment block field displays "free for payment").What can be probable reason for this?
Material ledger is activated in our case.

Negative values for Custom field in SAP coding block !

Hope all of you are doing fine.
I need your valuable suggestion/possible workaround for the following requirement.
u2022 The project requires me to add a custom new field to SAP coding block, which can take negative numeric values.
u2022 The standard u201Caddition of custom fieldu201D configuration allows me to have the data type of the newly added custom field as either NUMC or CHAR. NUMC data type does not allow negative values. Standard configuration does not allow me to choose other data types (for custom field addition) like QUAN which can allow negative values (by checking the Sign at domain level in data type).
u2022 Moreover, once I have added the custom field, itu2019s not possible to change the data type of the newly added field (say from NUMC to QUAN).
I wanted to know if anyone of you have any project experience/knowledge about possible workaround, where we can add a custom field in SAP coding block, which can accept negative numeric values (through standard configuration or otherwise).

No experience on that, but I strongly advise you to not trying to do something else than what was designed by SAP. So, you can create a character type field, with for example a field exit (though this technology is obsolete, it's very useful in that case) to validate its content (and reformat it if needed).
Note that from a functional perspective, I think an amount is strange in the coding block, so maybe ask the functional people to know why they need it...

Few questions about apex + epg and cookie blocked by IE6

Hi,
I would like to ask a few questions about apex and epg.
I have already installed and configured apex 3.2 on oracle 10g (on my localhost - computer name 'chen_rong', ip address -192.168.88.175 ), and enable anonymous access xdb http server.
now,
1. I can access 'http://chen_rong' , 'http://localhost' , 'http://192.168.88.175' without input username / password for realm 'XDB' in IE6;
2. I can access 'http://localhost/apex/apex_admin' , 'http://192.168.88.175/apex/apex_admin' , and I can be redirected into apex administation page after input admin/<my apex admin password> for realm 'APEX' in IE6;
3. I can access 'http://chen_rong/apex/apex_admin' in IE6, but after input admin/password , I can not be redirected into administation page, because the cookie was blocked by IE6.
then, the first question is :
Q1: What is the difference among 'http://chen_rong' , 'http://localhost' , 'http://192.168.88.175' ? I have already include site 'chen_rong' into my trusted stes! why the cookie was blocked by IE6. I have already tried firefox and google browser, both of them were ok for 'chen_rong', no cookie blocked from site 'chen_rong'!
and,
1. I have tried to use the script in attachment to test http authentication and also want to catch the cookie by utl_http .
2. please review the script for me.

I use oracle database enterprise edtion 10.2.0.3. I have already figured out the epg on 10.2.0.3 to support apex 3.2.
And as I described above, the apex site works fine for ip address , and localhost. but the cookie will be blocked by IE6, if I want to access the site by 'http://computername:port/apex/apex_admin'. This problem does not occured in firefox and google browser. Could someone give me answer?

Re: COPA R/3 vs BW(aCCOUNT BASED-PA)
One of the differences between account based CO-PA and costing-based CO-PA that there is no delta extraction. There is also 1 other rule. You can only select 1 fiscal-period. The set-up is similar to costing based CO-PA.
The big difference between Account Based CO-AP and Costing Based CO-PA is of course the data is stored in the CO Modules.
Account based CO-PA is part of the CO concept. This means when you post to a cost element the data is posted to a CO-module (CCA, OPA, PA, PS etc). The way the data is stored is also different from costing based PA.
The CO tables like COEP, COBK (for the individual item are used and the COSS and COSP are used for the totals.
The object where the posting are related to they are stored in the CE4... table. So if you want to analyse the data there is 1 keyfigure and the cost-element is a characteristic (account model).
COsting Based CO-PA data is statistical data. This means that the update of CO-PA is not always equal to what is stored in the CO modules or in finance. The cost element is also not always updated and there are also more key-figures used to store info about the type of costs or revenues. Tables as CE1, CE2 , CE3 and CE4 are used.
Extraction for Account Based CO-PA is only based on the total records (full loads are only possible). For costing based CO-PA there it is possible work with init and delta packages and also to select data from the individual postings databases (CE1, CE2).
The way you generate the extractor is similar.
Hopelfully this gives you a bit more background of the CO-PA module.

How to Default what fields and assignment blocks appear for every user?

Is there a standard way to default what users see in the webui? We'd like to display certain assignment blocks, fields, etc without having the user go thru the personalization process. There are certain pieces we need to display across the board for every user and would like to set this up in advance of them logging into the WebUI.

Hi James,
With the business roles you can define what the user is allowed to see or do and not.
So you create your special user business role e.g. Z_USER_SALESPRO and then you can create a business role specific configuration of the views (add/ remove fields) or overview pages (add/remove assignment blocks).
If you want to you can also deny user with this business role the possibility to personalize their pages at all.
If you want to show information to all user in the same way then just maintain the default configuration in the enhanced component. As the WebUI always looks for the most specific key found within the configurations available.
Please make sure you work in default configuration of the enhanced component, else you change SAP standard cheat sheet.

Missing customer fields in Coding Block

Hi,
I used OXK3 to create some customer fields and they could be seen in table BSEG and structure CI_COBL and CI_COBL_BI. but when I could not find them in 'Include fields in Totals Table (FAGL_GINS)' . and I could not find and use them in subscreen creation neither. Did I miss something? Could anybody help me?
