About Daily Work Schedules- Absence

Dear all,
I have a problem is that:
I have DWS which has a work time form Monday to Friday employees work from 8am to 5pm form Monday to Friday and on Saturday employees work half of the time from 8am to 12 am. I have setup on WSD that Satuday have Work Hour = 4 h.
My problem is on Saturday, if employees want to take a leave , I must be input on Absence hours = 2 for to get Absence quotas  =0,5, if not system will deduct is 1 day, instead of 0,5 day.
So Please help me how to solve this my problem.

You can use quota multiplier value as 50% in  table T556C Counting rule table for particular abs type.

    create a new daily work schedule DWS and a new daily work schedule class (DWS class) for the special day.
    can be used in substitution (if it's not taking long period of time) and only once a while during a period
    can be used to generate a new PWS and a new WSR, to be assigned to employee's IT0007 if it takes longer period of time.

    Hi,
    The above screen shot is table where we maintain unpaid and paid breaks, we mention about when a break has to start under START tab and when it has to end under END button.
    Under UNPAID and PAID tabs we mention duration of break,  if its 15 mins break or half an hour or one hour depending on start and end timings.
    Suppose a shift is for 9 hours in total and client wants there should be a paid break of one hour, then out of this 9 hours shift itself  break would be considered.... and in case client wants unpaid break then shift would be for 10 hours out of which 9 hours will be working hours and one hour break.
    When this concept has to be calculated in schema processing type would be assigned to this time pair showing break accordingly either paid or unpaid.

  • How to link day tipe to daily work schedule

    Dear Experts,
    I have a daily work schedule IOFF which is supposed to be a day off.  Can anyone advise if there is a way to link day type "Off/paid" to this daily work schedule IOFF ?   Thanks for any input.

    Use  Daily Work Schedule  class "o" to makke your DWS Off  and Day type can be set at Set Work Time Management>Work Schedule>Work Schedule Rules and Work Schedules>Schedule Rules and Work Schedules ( In the option of Rule for day type )
    Daily Work Schedule Class
    The daily work schedule class is a feature used to define daily work schedules. You use it to create evaluation criteria for a daily work schedule. According to the evaluation criteria, daily work schedules can be used in differen ways in time wage type selection, attendance and absence counts, or in time evaluation.
    The working times defined in a daily work schedule are not influenced by the assignment of a daily work schedule class. As a result, the daily work schedule class respresents an additional evaluation of a daily work schedule.
    Daily work schedule classes can be identified by any number between 0 and 9.

  • Issue with respect to Daily work schedule creation for employees in UK Shif

    Hi Experts,
    We are implementing neagtive time management for our client . there are a set of employees who work in UK shift.
    Th shift timings are a bit odd.
    Timings 11:30  to 18:00 is the time when employee has to work at his Office
    and  21:00 to 22:00  he has to work from home
    Please make a note the above given timings is for a single day.
    Please guide me how to go a head.

    Thanks for putting this question .  I was also searching for its answer because when variant is applied on Friday and if any full day public holiday falls on Friday then variant would be null and void.
    I got confused with the holiday class 2 which is half day public holiday, what if it falls on Friday?
    Variant in itself is reduced working hours and half day is one and the same thing.
    I have tried rules in many ways to trigger variant on Friday:

    In the 1st case the 2nd condition is unnecessary confusing, however things are working fine with only 1st condition.

But, I dont know, how to read in time schema the Daily Work Schedules or even the Period Work Schedules. If you can give me the operation that some rule can read and the function needed to make this rule possible.

    The personal work schedule represents the lowest level of work schedules. It contains the work schedule of one individual employee.
    You can refer to the personal work schedule for the working times of a specific employee, as well as any working time provisions that apply on a particular day. The personal work schedule also contains any changes made for individual employees from when maintaining infotypes, in addition to any changes made for entire employee subgroup or personnel area groupings.
    The daily work schedule determines the structure of working times in your enterprise at the daily level. You can also define actual normal working conditions and those that differ from externally or internally determined daily working times. In this way, you set up working times defined for specific employees.
    The daily work schedule, along with Break Schedules, comprise the working times for a particular day.
    Use the below for maintaining Work schedule....
    Choose Human resources -> Time management -> Administration -> Work schedule -> Change.

  • Time Management - Work Schedule /Absence Quota / Part-time quota generation

    Hi Experts,
    Need your help!
    We have a requirement where we need to create distinct work schedules for each irregular / part-time work pattern and the number of work patterns we have identified is more than 1000.  We are using report RPTQTA00 to generate quota. We have used work contract, employee sub-group & employee payscale group in the QUOMO feature to get the base entitlement picked up. We have defined base entitlement for the full time workschedules with 37.0 / 38.5 hours and there is a reduction rule which reduce the absence entitlement for part time employees as per the employement percentage in IT0007. Now we have a scenario where we have created a work schedule with different no of hours for each day of week (M-4, T-6, W-4, TH-6, F-4, S-OFF, SU - OFF); this work schedule is treated as full time work pattern by the system and quota is generated as full time work schedule refering to the QUOMO settings, but as per my client employees with this work schedule have reduced hours of working hours (24 hours, not 37.0 or 38.5 hours)and hence it should be treated as part-time employees, and the quota generated should be proportionately reduced. I have very limited scope to create any ESG or PSG as we do not have any distinct emplyee sub-groups maintained for full-time and part-time employees and the project has already gone-live with payroll/time. It is worth mentioning over here that we are recording absence through ESS and it takes into account the daily planned working time maintained in IT0007, so we are very particular to keep it as accurate as possible.
    I would really appreciate if somebody can please suggest any possible solution for the above issue, or guide me on what would be the best way to tackle it. I can give more details in case anybody need to have a better understanding of the issue to suggest a solution.

    Yes, i have found the solution to it. I do not know whether it will fit into your situation or not, but i got two solutions for my issue mentioned above, please check it may help:
    1) To use capacity utilization field in IT0008 to get the FTE hours and defining the reduction rule of absence quota based on the capacity utilazation percentage.
    2) There are three user exits available in the standard report RPTQTA00, i have used one of them to write my own rules for the calculations (deduction rule)

  • Defining daily work schedules

    Hi all,
    I am triyng to define work schedules and I have found the following problem.
    I would like to define my schedules at month level. I mean, I have different schedules for different months. For instance, I've got the same work schedule from January till May, but the schedule changes in summer, this means, from June to August.
    Could anyone explain me how can I define this in SAP?

    Go To SM36 give the job name and go for Flag icon in that u can specify ,
    as per ur requirement and also check for tcode SM37.

    Hi All,
    I wanted to set up the following rule for varients :
    If Holiday Falls on SUnday then Monday should be change Off.
    I have created Varient for DWS.  as NORM , NORM - "C".
    01     03     .X........     X.........                          ......X     C
    01     04     X.........     XXXXXXXXXX     X......     C
    But above setting turing all Mondays to Varient C.
    How can I make only Monday  as Varient as C when its previous day is SUnday and Holiday Class 1.

    In SCAL- At the time of creating public holiday you can define in Guaranteed section as Public Holiday on Sundy (Select Sunday) , then move to next day  or move to previous day

  • 59 sec Begin tolerance for Daily work schedule

    Dear Experts,
    I need to give begin tolerance as 59 sec to DWS, but when i tried to give in DWS table, it is not taking seconds, its only taking minutes.
    Kindly let me know any other way of doing the same, if a PCR needs to be written, which function/operation can be used to for the same and how to derive it.

    In DWS you cannot account for the Time Unit ' SECONDS'.
    But for your solution, check the function 'DPTOL'
    "Times are rounded in the personnel calculation schema of RPTIME00 using function DPTOL."

  • The Question about mess "Customizing Error in Work Schedule Rule ..."

    Dear all,
    I run the Start-Payroll  and I getting an error " Customizing Error In WSR for that Personal Number"
    I configuration all of Time Management with start date is 01.01.2000 and when I run Payroll on Payroll period is 01/2000 with start date is 01.01.2000 to 31.01.2000 for Employees hiring on 01.01.2000 then I have an error " Customizing error in work schedule rule .. .. ... ..".
    But I can run the payroll period on 02/2000 with start date is 01.02.2000 to 29.02.2000 for Employees hiring on 01.02.2000.  form 02/2000 it is okies.
    Please help me  solve about my problem

    where are u getting this error
    if it  is PY  log
    Check GENPS this error will come under this Function
    it is the combination of
    ur Holiday calendar
    Employee Sub Group
    Personal Sub area Grouping
    and ur Daily work Schedule Rule
    Check the Start dats an end dates fo all the above Settings along with their Groupings in table V_T508A

    On my client have schedules are below :
    -   Form Monday to Friday: Is working day for all employees except IS department and Driver Group and  Saturday, Sunday are  Holiday.
    -   IS Department : Employees work 5 days a week with rotating basic service on Saturday, compensated by one weekday off.
    -   Driver group have 6 working days on a week (Mon-Sat). Sunday is holiday.
    I have not solution to config . Please help me to define and config to solve my problem.
