About Dual Shock 3!??

I have a dual shock 3 controler. But i no have cable or adapter to connect on my z1. Questions where i can buy that item? And what is called that? And dualshock controler is needed a ps3 before to used that??
Solved!
Go to Solution.

You need a USB on-the-go or OTG adapter. You can find these on Amazon and eBay, search for OTG cable. The micro USB (male) connects to your Z1. Then you connect the Dualshock 3 controller to the OTG adapter using the mini-USB cable that came with your PS3. If you don't have a PS3, any mini-USB cable should suffice.

  • Dual Shock 3 doesn't work properly on SE Xperia Z1

Following the set up procedure as per tutorial in my Z1 (android 4.3, firmware 14.2.A.0.290).
    It's not properly working.
    1. i connect the controller via otg cable
    2. the mobile doesn't recognize it
    3. i press PS on controller
    4. the mobile recognize it. In the tutorial under Settings -> Xperia Connectivity -> DUALSHOCK3 ... -> How to connect a controller -> after pressing "next", it says that from now i can disconnect the dual shock and connect it via BT connection, just pressing PS on it.
Ok, i see that the Z1 has now the BT ON by itself (if you go into the BT section you will not find the dual shock paired with it!)
and i press PS on controller..... it's not  reacting. Not turning on anymore. After some seconds (and a lot of time pressing PS) it turns on in search mode (all leds blinking) as when it's going to connect to the ps3... but after it.. nothing. It's not connecting to the z1. I checked, as i wrote, into the BT section in settings but nothing there. it's not paired and even if i try to pair in no way it's working.
The dualshock is also now not paired with the ps3 (but with the usb cable it's redoing it with no problem).
I tried with 2 different controllers.... nothing to do.
I can use it connected with the otg + usb cable (but in this way it's draining battery from the mobile to auto charge! and i can't leave the z1 on the dk31), and in this way it's working flowly

Seems to be lobato was right.
For BlueTooth connection to Xperia smartphone, DualShock 3 controller must have high (not low...) charge level.
I tried many times, but was no result.
Suddenly ds3 became connected to Z1, after pressing PS button.
The only difference is  controller charge level.
In my case question is resolved.
    Good luck.

  • Confused about Dual Band

I picked up a dual band extreme yesterday and replaced my dlink with it. I'm having some very odd behavior, and I'm sure I probably set it up wrong.
I am sitting with my 17" 2009 MBP about 5 feet from the airport. I set up the airport, naming my network and setting my password, all is good.
However, perf is just not great. I'd think sitting right next to it, I'd be flying like the wind, but I'm getting a LOT of pauses. I also am noticing that my "link speed" in network utility is reported as 130, and I would think it should be way faster. So, some questions --
    1. I assume the 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz get setup automatically when you create your network?
    2. How does the mac decide which band to pick when it connects?
    3. Do you have to name the networks separately? I saw an option in there for it, but the help and manual are somewhat lacking in that regard.
    Thanks for any help!

I also am noticing that my "link speed" in network utility is reported as 130, and I would think it should be way faster.
130 Mbps would be typical for either 802.11n at either 2.4 GHz or at 5 GHz with wide-channels disabled. To achieve 300+ Mbps, you would need to configure the 5 GHz radio to 802.11n only (5 GHz) with wide-channels enabled. (ref: AirPort Utility > Manual Setup > Wireless > Wireless Options)
    1. I assume the 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz get setup automatically when you create your network?
Yes, by default, both the radios are configured to support their span of respective clients. For 5 GHz, that would be 802.11a/n; for 2.4 GHz, that would be 802.11b/g/n.
    2. How does the mac decide which band to pick when it connects?
Yes. Since, again by default, both radios have the same Network Name, your Mac, depending on its capabilities, will try to connect with the radio with the strongest signal. If you're near the AEBSn, most likely it will choose the 5 GHz radio. Since, the 5 GHz signal tends to dissipate quicker as distance increases, your MBP will probably choose the 2.4 GHz radio instead.
    3. Do you have to name the networks separately?
No. But if you want to "force" your MBP to choose the 5 GHz radio, naming its wireless network different then that of the 2.4 GHz radio would allow for that.

  • Question about dual table

    Hi,
    Can anyone clarify me this
Can I insert rows into dual table (being a programmer) ?? Using oracle 9i ... If no, can DBA do that ??? Say suppose, I have inserted 100 records in the dual table .. In any way, my applications are going to get hampered after inserting the records in the dual table

    Or perhaps this:

  • What Should Be Done About Electric Shocks from MacBook?

I very recently purchased a MacBook. I had not been using it long before I realized that it is not uncommon to get an electric shock when I touch areas other than the keyboard. Now via Google and this Discussion Board I find that the shocks are a known issue and that Dell also has this problem with some of its aluminum constructed laptops and that MacBook Pro users also receive shocks. Assurances are given that the shocks do not hurt the computer, but what about the user?
I find it very disturbing to think that the shocks will be ongoing. I would not have purchased the computer had I known about this problem. I admit that it may be more disturbing to some people than others, but it is of considerable importance to me. I feel it should be mentioned to customers before a purchase decision is made. Can/should the computer be returned?

That must be a strong electric current to cause a plastic-based laptop to cause electric shock. As the previous poster above me stated, as long as the system is grounded, there shouldn't be a problem for aluminium based laptops.

  • Some question about "Dual loop feedback"

    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/conceptd.nsf/webmain/E7ABA6F4D569010A86256F5A005B64F3/
    Switch Feedback on the Fly
Consider a heat-sink assembly application where a position sensor is the feedback device for the initial positioning along the Z axis. However, when the heat sink is pressed on to the PCB, a force sensor must be the feedback device for precise motion control in the latter part of the process. With NI motion controllers, you can switch feedback devices on the fly without reinitializing the controller. The new feedback device might require the system to have a new set of PID gains loaded immediately after the axis is reconfigured. To minimize the delay, you can configure an additional set of PID gains with the motion controllers.
anyone can give me some detailed materials about "switch Feedback on the Fly", for example, some programme, some words to explain it.
another question is that if i don't use the torque sensor, can i directly use the DAC to control the voltage to come true the torque control?
    Thanks for your answer

anyone can give me more suggestion about the Dual loop feedback?
    I really know little.
    Hope your suggestion.
    Thanks a lot

  • Question about dual-monitor setup - advanced dock + PCIe card

I just got a Z60t at work. I had been using a dual monitor setup, but it doesn't look like my current config is going to fly w/ the new machine. Anyway, here's what I've got:
Primary monitor: Acer AL2416W (1920x1200 DVI)
Secondary monitor: Dell 1901FP (1280x1024 VGA)
I've read that the advanced dock might be able to let me use this setup with the Z60t if i put a PCIe video card in it. So here are my questions:
    1. Will the advanced dock + PCIe video card allow me to run the two monitors listed above (I don't use the laptop screen at all)?
    2. Which PCIe cards are compatible with the advanced dock?
    3. Can I achieve the same resolutions with the advanced dock + PCIe card?
    4. Will I need to split the VGA output, or can i use VGA + DVI like I do now (since the Z60t has no native DVI support)?
    thanks!

Gary -- don't turn on the OS Display Mirroring.  Turn it off.
You want Aperture to control how it uses your dual monitors.  (You do not want the OS to determine it.)
Once you've turned off the OS "Display Mirroring", the set-up I specified above should give you what you want.
    That set-up is:
    "View → Main Viewer → {anything}", and
"View → Secondary Viewer → Alternate"
You must have the Viewer active (not the Browser) in order to change the "Secondary Viewer" setting.  If you are in the Browser, activate the Viewer by double-clicking an Image.
Let me know if that doesn't work.

  • Advice about dual monitor, "newbie" friendly WMs

    Need some advice:
Just got another monitor for my laptop (a samsung 23.5'' 2333sw), and I'm trying to tweak my monitor setup. What are the best panels/windowmanagers for dual monitors? Like right now I'm using compiz + tint2 and when I change workspaces, both monitors change workspaces. When I open a program, it appears in the taskbar on both monitors. I'd like them to be more independant (but still be able to share windows between them, so separate xorg files are out). Awesome kept things separate automatically, which brings me to my next question....
I don't want to use awesome (although it handles dual monitors exactly how I like, with no tweaking) because I'm having extended family stay over for a few weeks and I'd like to make my computer as user friendly as possible (part of me wants to do some linux converting). I'm talking totally mouse-based. OSX-esque dock, the works. Guys have any advice for the best window manager/apps to appeal to windows/mac users? Not that I want to make a windows clone. I just want something inviting, intuitive, with a low learning curve.
Part of me is thinking of maybe just tweaking awesome so it includes titlebars, is always floating, and has a dock. Since it handles dual monitors well right now, this might be the path of least resistance.
    Thoughts?

That's a very interesting topic. The program lxrandr is able to control the behaviour of plugged monitors but obviously it is only able to display the same content on both screens.
so are there some lightweight programs that can differ between the content like e.g. gnome is able?

  • Inquiry about dual booting Arch, without messing around in cfdisk

    A little background:
I was given a computer that I could install arch on, but I needed to dual boot it. After not daring to mess around in cfdisk, I was pondering other distros that would take the hassle of dual booting out of the equation. Then I was told I could install Arch over windows, which I did.
    My question:
How feasible would it be for me to install ubuntu alongside my arch installation then install Windows over the ubuntu install, so that I could run steam? Will it ruin any of my Arch data? Hope that makes sense.
Would that be an easier way of dual booting than deleting/making new partitions in cfdisk?
I didn't see any other questions like this when I tried searching.
    Thanks

I think installing Linux on same partition as Windows or on a FAT32/NTFS partition (Windows-accessible) is a bad idea. If you get a virus then the Linux files also get infected. I recommend you install it on a separate EXT4 partition. Don't worry, you can still access it from Windows using something like Ext2fsd but at least you can mount them as Read-Only.
Awebb wrote:I'd say get a second hard disk for Windows. I know, this type of recommendation isn't very welcome in most situations, as we always try to do what we want with what whe have, but I kept running into trouble with dual boots on one disk, so if...
Um, I have Windows XP installed on the second partition of the second disk. And Windows *XP*, mind you, which needed map (hd0) (hd1), map (hd1) (hd0) in GRUB Legacy to make it think it was on the first drive.

Nah. If you choose an already created partition during the initial setup it won't create the so called "System Reserved" 100 MB partition. You'll see some extra hidden folders on drive C:\ though.

  • Question about dual monitors - view stretching across both screens

I recently switched from my desktop to a ProBook 4710s.  The laptop is plugged into dual LG monitors.  On my old desktop, I could keep the Photoshop program in one window (I could maximize it in one window) and drag the toolbar to the second window.  Now, when I maximize, it stretches across both screens.  This is pretty inconvenient, in that the image is cut by the borders of the screens (unless I unpin it).  I would really appreciate any help.
    Thanks in advance.

The HP website says the laptop only supports 1 VGA external monitor. What adapter are you using to split the VGA port and have you contacted the company to see how to make it show how you want? I found nothing on the HP site on running 2 monitors and a adapter to do it.

  • Ps3 dual shock MacBook Pro

Anyone have any luck at all pairing a Playstation Dualshock 3 to a MacBook Pro Retina running osx 10.8.2? I can get it to connect and add it to my favorites but the controller will not function with Call of Duty Black Ops that I bought from iTunes.
What am I missing or is this even possible? Is there a different controller I should be trying instead?

Try pressing the PS button for 2-3 seconds with Bluetooth on and discoverable before you plug into your MB. When the lights flash, plug it in and press the PS button for 2-3 seconds again. You may need to open System Prefs and click the settings cog below your listed devices in the Bluetooth pane. Once the controller is recognized, click the settings cog and click "add as favorite" & "update services". It should auto pair now whenever you press the PS button when BT is on. I play Borderlands 2 on my 2011 MBP with a PS3 controller. It was a huge chore to find the solution but, heres what I did. Purchase Joystick Mapper, open it, have the controller on. In the menu bar under File, click load examples. Theres a bunch of pre-defined settings for both the PS and XB360 controllers. Some for using as a mouse, First Person Shooter, games that use keys & mouse and so on. I pulled the PS3 FPS example and cloned the example as to not delete the original. Labeled it Borderlands 2 and turned down the sensitivity on the Axis'. They were way to touchy for me. Its not perfect for me yet BUT, it works completely. The Use or E button is actually the Left D-Pad but, its not that odd. It also will give you a good idea on how to do it for other games. Just make a profile for each one. Clone that and then tweak it to your liking. Good luck!

  • COMPLAINT ABOUT YOUR SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE !

I thought I was making the right move when I decided to switch to Sky for my broadband and phone. Evidently not. I was given misinformation when I placed the order (aka "lied to") and I've just spent £15+ and several hours of my life that I shall never get back, trying to speak to someone, as the complaints "online chat" is always busy. Is Sky's service so pitifully bad that the volume of complaints is overwhelming them?  'twould appear so.  When I did get through, after innumerable options, security checks, reconfirming all the details I'd given them 30 seconds previously and calls mysteriously terminating, I insisted they ring me back - just as well, as I was on the phone for over an hour. And, of course, no email option. Never mind, a letter is winging its way to Scotland as we speak (cc to Ombudsman), and I have spread the gospel via social media (which, it appears, has just lost Sky three potential new customers - no wonder they have to offer financial incentives for people to join them). Come on Sky, sort it!

I'm afraid Sky will not respond to your post, as this is a customer to customer only forum.

  • Is there any possible way I can dual boot Windows with OSX 10.7.2 on a MacBook Pro 15' from 2006?

    Hello,
I am new to this forums.
I have searched about dual boot win/mac, but couldn't find a clear answer, so I decided to post this now.
I run a MacBook Pro 15' from 2006 (Intel based) and have upgraded it to OSX 10.7.2 Lion.
I have tried to install windows 7 on a small (20GB) partition by using Bootcamp, but then I've received a notice saying that there was no windows support software available. However, I did install Windows 7 Professional by unchecking that box. After the installation I have downloaded the windows support software and tried to install it but then I've received a notice saying that I can't install it on this machine.
Could you please give me any suggestions on how to dual boot win/mac, if it is possible at all using this machine? And how to safely go back to where I was before (with a single mac OSX 10.7.2 partition)?
    Thanks.

This problem has been solved as I just needed to download Boot Camp 4.
