About Firefox OS Source Code

Hello Friends. I'm at the stage of starting Firefox OS. I need to download Firefox OS source code but I could not download.
Ubuntu do not have internet on my computer. I'll download in Windows, then I'll transfer to Ubuntu.
How can I download Firefox OS source code? Into one file. Github not with, because, I need an internet connection to Github.I'd be very happy if you can help. Good Work.

Hi ahmetburakkaplan,
I'm not sure that there is a way to download the Firefox OS directly into one file. Your best bet is to download it to your Windows machine, then transfer the entire folder to your Ubuntu system (via a USB stick), or ZIP/Compress the contents and then transfer the ZIP file to your Ubuntu system.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any user-related issues with your Firefox OS device in the future.
Thanks,
- Ralph

  • A question about reading tomcat source code

    Hi, everyone!
I just saw the tomcat source code, there is a method named "await" in StandardServer class. The comment of this method decribe that this method will wait util a proper shutdown command is received.
I'm confused about it after read this method.
In my opinion, this method create a server socket on port 8005 by default, and wait for "SHUTDOWN" string to only close the server socket which is listening on port 8005.
But I think this method is supposed to close all the server sockets which are listenning for client's request and belong to this server when port 8005 received "SHUTDOWN" string.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Question about Java SE Source Code

I was wondering, what is Java SE written in? Can't be Java right? Since thats like the chicken and the egg. Can't write in Java unless you have a platform to interpret Java code into byte code, but if the platform is written in Java... what is interpreting the platform? The platform can't interpret itself right?
Little confused about it ^, I didn't post in the thread about open source Java since everyones just fighting on there about how old or new the news is. To tell ya the truth, I heard about it yesterday but didn't expect it so soon. Its nice that its here, its now fully Linux friendly. :D
I might download the code and take a look at it if its written in Java.

I was wondering, what is Java SE written in? Can't be
Java right? Since thats like the chicken and the egg.
Can't write in Java unless you have a platform to
interpret Java code into byte code, but if the
platform is written in Java... what is interpreting
the platform? The platform can't interpret itself
    right?
So you write the 0.0.1 compiler and runtime in something else.
Using that you create and compile a Java version that you call 0.0.2.
You now have a compiler written in Java that can compile Java.
The runtime is a bit more complex as it needs some platform specific bootstrapping code, but most of that can be written in Java as well.
And that's no theory, it's what actually happens (and not just with Java).
Not everything is Java, but a good chunk certainly is (or can be).

  • Question about the Documentation Tags for Source Code

    Hello,
I have a question about CVI's automatic source code documentation. My problem is that is seems like you need to write all documentation for a specific tag on one line. If you don't, a line break will be inserted when the documentation is displayed. Suppose I want to write a large amount of documentation for the function itself, using the HIFN tag. If I don't want linebreaks to be forced in the documentation, I need to write all this documentation on one single line, which kinda messes up my code. If I split the documentation over several HIFN tags, the documentation displayed to the user might look messed up because of all the linebreaks. Is there any escape character I can put at the end of a line, allowing me to split the documentation of several HIFN lines without forcing linebreaks in the documentation?
    Thanks!

This information is certainly useful. Note, however, that it can also be found in the documentation
    Tag
    Description
    /// HIFN help text
Specifies the help text for the function. Use multiple /// HIFN tags to display help text for the function on separate lines. To separate help text with an empty line, use /// HIFN on a line by itself. You also can use HTML tags, but you must enclose the tags in <HTML><BODY></BODY></HTML> tags.
    Example
/// HIFN SampleFunction returns the value of a control.
int SampleFunction (int controlID, ctrlType controlType, char label[], double *value)
         SomeAction;

  • Issue of Security about Java Source Code

At most time Java compiler compiles the *.java source code into *.class files and then pack them in *.jar files running in the Java VM or as applet running on web pages.
Recently I find a tool named cavaj that can decompile *.class files into *.java files. I tried it to decompile my *.class files and unvealed that the decompiled *.java files are the same of my source code!
How to protect the source code not to be pirated? This is a big problem about the mechanism of Java. Is there any tool to compile *.java to *.exe files? Or is there any tool that can decompile *.exe to *.java in the future?

This is a common question. If you do a search you will find many answers/solutions.
But can it affect the performance of the program? Your program mayload slight faster, but the runtime performance is the same. It may effect your performance as it takes some time to get the obsufaction right, especially if you are using reflection.

  • Are we allowed to use the Web developer function in Firefox version 5.0 to edit the html source code associated with the Firefox home page?

Locking at request of OP - https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/844506
Are we allowed to use the Web developer function, under the "Firefox" tab in Firefox version 5.0, to edit the html source code associated with the Firefox version 5.0 home page ( so that we can personalize the home page )? Is this legal?
    Sincerely in Christ,
    Russell E. Willis

    Solution: (Free Download Manager)
Go here: http://codecpack.co/download/Free_Download_Manager.html and download Free Download Manager 3.8.1067 Beta 3, it works perfectly with Firefox 5.0.1
Solution: (to Google mail aka Gmail)
I have had this problem for a while since I did a previous Firefox update, where I had to force Gmail to load in Basic HTML else it's next to impossible to use it. The solution is this: simply update your Java, and Gmail will work without a problem using Standard HTML. To update your Java go here: http://www.java.com/en/ and select "Free Java Download".
And beta normally, universally, means "the not quite there yet version of the version we're aiming for" NORMALLY used during production and testing of a type of software.

  • Firefox on 2 independant laptops, not reading website source code correctly, when all correct on Chrome and IE.

Rebuilt my website in Serif WebPlus X6.<br />
Using Google Chrome or Internet Explorer the site is displayed correctly as is the source code.<br />
In Firefox 18.0.1 Code is being read wrongly. Cleared Cache and fault still there. Checked in Wifes laptop – still the same fault on her Firefox and okay on Chrome and IE.<br />
Code should read - span class="Body-C-C9">“Why won’t the doctors listen”?<pre><nowiki></span></p>
But firefox is showing - span class="Body-C-C9">“Why won’t the doctors listen”?</span></p></nowiki></pre>
There are further similar faults throughout the website.<br />
Why is Firefox not reading the code correctly?<br />
    Please help.

That is an encoding issue.<br />
It looks that the page is in UTF-8 Unicode and the server sends this page as a Western or Windows encoding.<br />
So you see the Unicode characters as the individual bytes that they consist of.
You can inspect this in Tools > Page Info > General and you can also use the Web Console (Web Developer > Web Console;Ctrl+Shift+K) to check the response header.<br />
If the server sends a content type via the HTTP response headers then Firefox doesn't honor a meta tag in the file or otherwise switch the encoding.

In this process if i change/display a report program it doesn't displays its source code but it execute that program. The whole source code is Stored in an internal table.but the real problem is that when i open that program's source code it protected and doesn't appears.
I doing this by using '*@#@@[SAP]'. This is provided by SAP to protect a report program.
Now my query is ' there is any thing to unprotected that program' ?
    Suggest.
    Thanks

    > <i>This is provided by SAP to protect a report program.</i>
That is an <u>incorrect</u> statement. That "feature" might be removed without any prior notice since it's causing more harm than it provides benefit.
