  • Problem with Indicator: Fixing of Exchange Rate

    Dear All,
i have a PO, where the "Indicator: Fixing of Exchange Rate" ist set. But in the header info of the goods receipt there is not the rate from the po, there is the actual day rate. And the system book the rate difference value to G/L Account 'exchange loss' and 'price and inventory difference'. I the note 518114 they write, if this flag is set, the system uses this exchange rate.
Is there maybe any wrong customizing or why does the system use the wrong rate?
    Thanks & BR

    Hi,
Check the GR Posting Date and Date on which you have activated "Exchange Rate Fixed" Indicator (Check in ME22N - Environment --> Header Changes).
Whether it has been activated after GR Posting Date.

  • Setting fixed the exchange rate field (KUFIX) ticked by default me21n

In the transaction ME21N to create purchase orders, there is a field to fix the exchange rate (KUFIX). We want to set this field to 'X' as default value, when the user call the transaction. Does anybody know a user exit or a BADI where I can modify/set this field.

    Hello everyone,
I'm also have the same requirement.
Any way to set a default value to KUFIX field?
    Thank you.

  • Fixed Currencies Exchange Rate For Customer

    Dear Experts,
Is there anyway in system that allow us to maintain fixed currencies exchange rate for a customer.
Currently, when create a Sales Order, system will take exchange rate from OB08 which i dont want. Because we have a fixed exchage rate for different customer (which agreed upon).
    Thanks,
    Eunice

    Hi
There is no specific fixed exchange rate specific to the Customer.
But , you can use different exchange rate types in this case, even this also should trigger the TCODE:OB08
If it is the compulsory requirement...use the Substitution, using the "user exit"....give the logic for the "user exit"   like it should pick the rate from the "Z" table , there you can maintain the rates from time to time.

  • Is there a way to fix the exchange rate of PO item condition type ?

    Hello all,
We have an agreed selling price in RMB from the supplier and the export rate(RMB to USD) is given by them according to delivery date. But we pay in USD.   Thus PO header is USD and using M rate but  PO price condition type in PO item  is RMB -> then convert to USD and sum up into gross price.  We want to control the way RMB is converted to USD in the item level.
e.g.  PO order currency is USD, PO header exchange rate is a fixed rate input by user
(hedge rate USD -> Local company currency)
PO item 1      agreed PO price is 100 RMB -> PO item condition's rate is 100 RMB per pc
                         -> export rate RMB to USD fixed at 8 -> 100 / 8  USD
PO item 2      agreed PO price is 200 RMB  -> PO item condition's rate is  200 RMB per pc
                          at export rate -> 200 / 8  USD
Total PO  value in USD =  300 RMB / 8      (we don't want it to convert 300 RMB using M rate)
Appreciate if anyone has a solution for this similar case.

The only way to do so and preserve your warranty is a replacement from Apple. US$199 without AppleCare+, US$49 with. If it doesn't affect the functionality, though, they may not give you that option.
It's not that big of a deal. I'm just seeing if anyone knows how to bend it back straight from experience or imagination.

  • Fixed Assets - Exchange rate for Depreciation in R12 Secondary Ledger

We are implementing dual ledgers in R12. The Primary Ledger (PL) is in CAD but Secondary Ledger (SL) is in USD. There's only one Depreciation Book in Fixed Assets pointing to the PL.
The problem lies in accounting for Depreciation in the SL. The system is picking up the exchange rate of the date when Depreciation is run and not the historical rate (rate when adding the asset).
We have a SR open with Oracle Support and they have escalated this to Development. However, we need a Plan B in case we've actually hit a bug. Could we extend Subledger Accounting for the Depreciation Accounting Entry in Secondary Ledger to take the historical rate instead of the rate from the Depreciation run date?
    Thanks,
    Sanjib

Will use Reporting Ledger tied to Primary.

  • About FM 'READ EXCHANGE RATE'

    Hi,
The FM 'READ_EXCHANGE_RATE' documentation says that the exchange rate valid on a date is read from table TCURR according to the currency key and the exchange rate type.
But I find that for some situations, the picked up
Exchange rate is not found in table TCURR.
In debugging I see that it reads from internal table BUFFER and not by making a SELECT query from TCURR.
Only when records are not in BUFFER it makes a SELECT query to TCURR.
My requirement is to find latest Exchange rate b/w two currencies. So I pass the current date as the Currency translation date.
Even if the value for the current date is not available in TCURR, it should pick up the latest one.
So when the FM ‘READ_EXCHANGE_RATE’ is run, sometimes the BUFFER table is filled up with records having
values for the current date and these records are not found in TCURR table.
As these exchange rates sometimes are not found in TCURR for the Currency keys / Ex. rate type, can anybody please explain me the purpose of the BUFFER table and where from the Exchange rate is picked up.
    Regards,
    Midhun.

For the first time Buffer doesn't have any data...After selecting the data from data base the buffer will be filled up....!!! Then if you are in the same session and try to use the FM once again the value gets picked up from BUFFER internal table which is ok......
As and when you come out from the transaction/session...The Buffer will be refreshed....since it's an internal table...
    Thanks

  • Help me about Indexes and Exchange rate

I see in SAP B1 have form Exchange rates and Indexes. I don't know mean of Index. What does it use for? And Exchange rates relate to Indexes. I can't understand. Can you help me.

    Hello Tien,
You are clever. There are also some member forums could not know how benefit the helpfiles for them and a certain member in this forum is called forum point seeker, take this as an opportunity.
Indexes in SAP B1 are used to define consumer price index (CPI). h
    ere is the definition :
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) measures inflation as experienced by consumers in their day-to-day living expenses. (It is sometimes referred to as the retail price index.) There are separate indexes for two groups or populations of consumers:
The CPI for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) is the index most often reported by the national media.
The CPI for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) is the index most often used for wage escalation agreements.
The CPI inflation calculator allows customers to calculate the value of current dollars in an earlier period, or to calculate the current value of dollar amounts from years ago.
Consumer price indexes often are used to escalate or adjust payments for rents, wages, alimony, child support and other obligations that may be affected by changes in the cost of living. There is a fact sheet explaining how to use the CPI for escalating contracts.
A new price index called the Chained Consumer Price Index (C-CPI-U) is now available. This new measure is designed to be a closer approximation to a "cost-of-living" index than the CPI-U or CPI-W.
Based on that definition, we could obtain it as data when determining exchange rate in daily business or price of the inventory items

  • Fix exchange rate

    Hi,
There is an option in configuration (materials management u2013 logistics invoice verification u2013 incoming invoice u2013 configure how exchange rate differences are treated) on logistics invoice verification in which I can fix the exchange rate during my procurement process(Goods receipt and invoice verification), but it is not working.
I did set de field ERD setting with a X value and a fix rate in RTyp column in configuration, but it is not working.
How can I get a fix rate during my procurement process automatically without setting the exchange rate field and fix rate check and manually in the purchase order?
    Regards,
    Manuel

    Hi,
Keep 0 % Max.exch.rate dev. for your company code in following path:
SPRO---> Financial accounting (NEW)  ->Financial accounting global settings>Global Parameter for Company code->Currencies->Maximum Exchange Rate Difference---> Define Maximum Exchange Rate Difference per Company Code
Also keep 0 % Max.exch.rate dev. for two currencies in above path with Define Maximum Exchange Rate Difference per Foreign Currency

  • Fixed exchange rate on PO taken from sales order?

Dear, we want to fix the exchange rate on the PO (standard SAP), but we want the exchange rate of the PO to be the one from the sales order (actually the one originally coming from the quote). Anu ideas on how to do this (standard or which user-exit)? txs, Koen

It is a user exit as you are replacing the Exchange rate.. you might want to think again.. however you could use MM06E004, if not MM06E005 to accomplish this.

  • Exchange rate fix

    Hi Gurus,
In PO i have fixed the exchange rate. While doing MIGO the exchange rate being picked is of system.....
    Where have i gone wrong??
    Regards,
    Rohan

    Dear Rohan,
Please note setting on currency exchange rates
To enter invoice in foreign currency following settings must be done in SAP  system.
    1. You must have defined  the currency you are using to enter the invoice
    2) You must configure an exchange rate of foreign currency & local currency in customization
    3) You can define diffrent rate for diffrent time  period
Now since you have  fixed the exchange rate in PO the rate will be always taken from the system. If you are not making it fix  in PO you have a previlage to change it at the time of GR or  MIRO.
