? about Flip Horizontal w/ paths

I'm a bit of a newbie and had a question. I'm learning how to use the drawing tools in Photoshop. I've drawn a simple path, and select it with the Path Selection tool. The problem is when I go to Edit > Transform Path, the Flip Horizontal, Flip Vertical, and Rotate 90/180 options are disabled. I can use the other transform options as well as Free Transform Path without problem. Why am I not able to use features like Flip Horizontal?

go to Edit->Free Transform Path and then choose the Flip Horizontal/Vertical commands (you can also access them by right-clicking in the image)

Hello Adobe,
Bridge implements rotate 90 cw, 90 ccw, and 180. Having these functions available as a right-click / cmd-click context menu is extremely convenient.
However, what about the companion flip horizontal and flip vertical operations ? This is a very common thing to want to do - particularly when working with scanned transparency images. Adobe Lightroom implements this - I belive.
Bridge team, can you add this small feature please ?

You can do multiple photo flips in Develop if you turn AutoSync on. Just make sure to turn it back off as it can cause all kinds of accidental messes

After ios5 update, photos and safari cannot flip horizontally

It seems the function to flip horizontally has disappeared. It isn't only with photos and safari, but games or anything that had the ability to do so. Thanks!

Okay... probably you tried it many times allready. But you're iphone should have made a back up in itunes.
You can find this back in the devices list.
Try again to reset your iphone (press home button and off switch untill the screen goes black and the apple logo appears)
restart your computer and start up itunes, after itunes runs connect your iphone. Please do it in this order, that is what really worked for me. If this does not work contact apple. Because it can not be that people really lost everything!

Unable to flip horizontal wordart into Word 2010?

In Word 2003 whilst using wordart I could easily take some text and then flip it horizontally via the drawing tool bar -> draw -> Rotate or Flip -> Flip Horizontal.
If I try the same method in Word 2010 and then select the wordart object -> Drawing Tools -> Format -> Rotate -> and then select Flip Horizontal nothing happens!

Between Word 2007 and Word 2010, the graphics engine was completely changed. While it does many things much better than the old engine, the new one has lost some capabilities, including this one.
Fortunately, for backward compatibility the old engine is still invoked for documents that are in Word 97-2003 (*.doc) format, and that fact can be used to fake out Word 2010.
Make a new document (or a copy of the current document) and save it as a Word 97-2003 file. The title bar should include the notation [Compatibility Mode].
Insert your WordArt in this document (note that you won't be able to use any of the fancy effects introduced in Word 2010; this is the *old* WordArt) and use the Flip Horizontal command to get the
desired effect.
Copy the flipped art from that document and paste it into the Word 2010 document, or click File > Convert to take it out of compatibility mode. The pasted WordArt will still be the old style, but any
new ones you add to the same document will be the new style.

Javascript, Text frame - Flip Horizontal

I just don't understand javascript very well yet.
I want to flip horizontally, a text frame, on it's center/in place. (Yes, I want the text to be wrong reading.)
the name of the text frame is smallTXXX and the indesign document will be open at the time the script is run. (I need to add this to an existing javascript.)

Why is the flip horizontal or vertical moving the frame or image?

(CS6) Why is the flip horizontal/vertical moving the frame or image instead of just flipping it in the current frame position? CS5 did not do this.

It flips around the point you've picked in the Transform Proxy in the upper left of the Control panel (and has always done so). Click the center point and you'll get what you want.

IPhone screen won't flip horizontally for videos

After I upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 my screen won't flip horizontally for video clips. It does flip for YouTube but not for music videos.
Please fix!!

This is ridiculous. Half the time it will go horizontally to a song that isn't even playing. The other half of the time it's a tiled screen with album covers. They have the most stupid things that don't work right!

Assuming that you have QuickTime Pro, open the movie, go to the Window menu on the menu bar at the top of the screen, select "Show movie properties", click the video track and click the "Visual settings" button. Use the Flip button with a double-ended horizontal arrow.

Preview will not 'flip horizontally' a pdf

Recently I just upgraded to 10.4.10 (from 10.3)...Using Preview to open a PDF, it will no longer flip (mirror) a pdf file vertical or horizontal. The option to do so shows in 'tools' but the text is grey like the command is not available. It will however, flip a jpeg or tiff. If there is not a fix for this, then what about installing an older version of Preview on the newer OS? How would that be done?

Who knows about Jar/Manifest: Class-Path-Attribute

My question is:
When packaging my classes and ressource files into a jar file, everything works fine as long as I put the manifest-file into the parent directory of the package folders (there's the main class too) and set its Class-Path-Attribut just as . (a dot).
I'm working with WinXP Prof.
As soon as I fill in a path with backslashes or slashes as separator, the produced jar-file doesn't work (class loader does'nt find main-class).
Is the problem the drive-letter (D:) in the path or do you know something else?

Yes, and likely the . is what you need ...saying: I want the packages which begin in the same directory as the jar running this application. Even if your class is in a package hierarchy like tst.test.Support.class, if the directory tst is in the same directory as the application jar, you would use classpath . not tst/test/Support.class. If you put the tst package in a directory under the folder where the jar resides, say called testit ...you would then have a classpath in the mainifest like testit/. The class path always needs to get you to the root of any package you want to use ...but not into the package itself. Java recognizes when it is looking at a package nesting due to the package declaration syntax in the files, the classpath just points to the location of the root of that package and nothing more. Does this make sense?

Illustrator cs 5 flip horizontally in printing???

I have to print something mirrored but I don't know how unless I flip the document it self. Is it possible to do that in another way. I have the Oki c801 and i tried al the functions in illustrator cs 5. Anybody an idea?

Flip Horizontal/Vertical and Rounded Corners Shortcut Keys

This is missing and annoying to do with the tool or the transform palette flyout. Pretty sure you can't even set your own shortcut within the program. Please add this standard.
In the meantime if you have autohotkey I made this script to map the alt menu to do it.
I've also added better blend shortcuts and rounded corners.

Working with WMV's (yes, I know about Flip)

Is it best to convert WMV's to .mov before placing into the timeline to edit?
I am editing a video in FCP 5 and have the unfortunate luck of having been given all WMV's, DOZENS of them. I have gotten halfway through converting them to .mov (using Flip4Mac) and wondering if this is even needed, as I seem to be able to playback WMV's directly in the timeline.

There will be a bit more computing overhead editing them, but hey, if you're not seeing slowdown to the point that it drives you crazy, you'll not gain anything using flip4mac quality wise...
