About Full Tilt Poker

Hello, I have a question. I have on my macbook full tilt poker installed and it worked fine until now....now it started to block every time that I want to log in and I can't do anything to work on it. I also have to force quite the program. I did uninstall it and install it again and it has the same problem.
Can someone help me with that? What can it be the problem?
Thank you.

This is a forum about Apple products; you might have better luck asking for help in a Full Tilt Poker forum.
That said, see if deleting the preferences for FTP helps. It would be something like com.fulltiltpoker.plist in your /Library folder. The next time you open FTP, you would need to re-enter your information, but it might work.

  • Quicktime 7.1.5 disables Full Tilt Poker

Anybody know a fix for this? Is there a way to get quicktime off my computer? I understand it also screws up Turbo Tax, but I personally think Full Tilt Poker trumps Turbo Tax, to mix my metaphors.

I did an archive and install. This was the only way I found to be able to go back to quicktime 7.1.3. It did take some time to update the software, ie: all the updates that apple sends including from 10.3.3 to 10.3.9 for the operating system. I only did quicktime up to 7.1.3. It did work and I can now play on full tilt poker and I'm sure it would also fix the problem with turbo tax.

  • I can't remove full tilt poker from my mac. Can you help?

I installed Full Tilt Poker on my mac. I don't really like it and want to delete the program. When I drag it to the trash, it pops out. Any suggestions?

Don't drag the Dock icon to the Trash. Quit the app and drag it from the Applications folder to the Trash.

  • Full Tilt Poker client hangs on launch

Anyone else had this problem or found a solution? Worked fine with Leopard. Tried re-installing the app. Also deleted the preferences in my Library folder and re-started. Thanks.

Yes, I'm having the same problem. Full Tilt stopped working after Snow Leopard installation. I raised the issue with Full Tilt support, and after 7 days, they finally replied by saying it must not be a problem because they could see that I'd logged into my account (I had in fact logged in using an older machine, an eMac G4, after several days of inactivity). I tried re-installing Full Tilt software & upgrading to 10.6.1 without success.
It sounds like the problem is specific to certain machines or configurations. Someone on the Full Tilt message boards claims that 3 out of 4 of his Macs upgraded successfully, and that the one Full Tilt-incompatible machine is his older one. My machine, though, is brand new, like vrogers above. If anyone finds a solution, please advise. Thanks!

  • Application (Full Tilt/ical) Problems.

I had an installation error the other day and lost much of my information. I did a full recover and got most of it back. I reinstalled OS X on my system fresh, and then started pulling in the prefs from the archived version of my previous system.
Now my Full Tilt Poker application will not load any of the Image. However, it works just fine on a test user account. I have completely erased all prefs for the application and reinstalled it from the internet and still nothing. What could be the issue?
Also, my Ical will not even open!? What could be the problem here.
Any help would be much appreciated!?

You could try the following things I am not sure if they will do much but it may help:
    PRAM Reset
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
    Disk Utility
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302672
If these don't then remove your preferences folder to the desktop and restart. Open the application and see if it works. If it does then the next step if long winded but drag each preference in and see which one effects the application.

  • HP Pavilion a6110n Startup Problems, Fan Runs Full Tilt and then Shuts Down

We are currently running into an issue where our computer, when we try to power it on, turns on briefly with the fan running at full tilt.  After a few seconds, the computer then shuts down and everything turns off.  When the monitor is connected, we never do see anything show up there.  We opened up the case and cleaned out the fan and the cooling unit completely, and then we even completely removed and then reconnected the unit.  Still, the computer continues to do the same thing.  Does this sound like a bad sensor?  Like the computer thinks it is overheating and just shuts itself down?
Thanks for any help.  We tried some of the advice we found on here, like stated above, and seem to have run out of options.

    Hi Big_Mike_180,
It is the same for the desktop or notebook. The one blink means that you are having an issue with the CPU, unfortunately. At this point if you are in warranty give HP Total Care a call at 1-800-474-6836 in North America or visit the link below if you are outside North America.

  • I'm confused... My iPod is about full with just over 1500 songs??

Can someone please help me? I am new to all of this MP3 player business, but I am confused about my 5th gen iPod. I bought the 16gb instead of 8 so I could have lots of songs, but still tape my lectures at school. I have only ~1500 songs, but it is just about full. When I bought it, it said it holds about 4000 songs. Did I do something wrong? All I did was pop a CD into my computer, iTunes downloaded the info, and then I synced my iPod. Is there a reason I don't even have half of what I should have?
    Please help.
    Thank you.

Which format do you encode your tracks (e.g. MP3, AIFF, Apple Lossless, etc.) and for the compressed ones, at what bit rate (e.g. 128, 160, etc.)? And are a lot of your songs long ones?
Encoding and bit rate both effect file size. Apple's estimates on how many songs your iPod can hold are based on 128 kbps AAC files that average something like 3 or 4 minutes (I forget which). Long songs, higher bit rates, and other formats (AIFF, WAV, and Apple Lossless in particular) will result in much larger file sizes and more space taken up by your library.

  • Question about full cycle charges and battery life

So I've had the new iPad since day 1 and absolutely love it, though recently I've noticed that my battery life doesn't seem to hold up as well as it has in the past. I've done three full cycle charges since getting it however during my latest one I accidently brought along my iPod wall charger and not the one that comes with the iPad. My iPad was fully discharged and I plugged it in assuming that in the 7 hour window I had that it would be fully charged within 5 hours, but this was not the case due to me having the wrong charger. After about 7 hrs of charging it was only at around 60-70% so I had to unplug it, bring it home, then plug it in once more using the correct charger. Probably a fairly obvious question but does this not count as a full cycle charge because I unplugged it? Should I perform another full cycle charge even though this most recent one was not even a week ago. I know you're supposed to completely discharge your battery as few times as possible so it worries me having to do it again so soon.
About battery life, I've noticed lately that my iPad battery seems to be depleting quicker than normal, and was hoping that perhaps this was caused by being overdue for a full-cycle charge which I may have flubbed as seen above. I'm aware of a majority of the little tips and tricks to prolong battery life however I'm not so knowledgeable on the "do's and don'ts" of charging the actual iPad so any information on that would be helpful. I should also note that unfortunately I accidently left by iPad in a hot car for a little over an hour and was tremendously devastated knowing what this can do to the battery, so could this be the main cause for a seemingly weaker battery?
    Thanks for any feedback!

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • Was going to buy Numbers until I read reviews about full screen

There's a lot of complaints about the latest version of Numbers on iTunes, mostly about Fullscreen not working...?
Is this an issue, or not?
    Thanks!

Depends on what your looking to do. The full screen mode allowed you to hide all th controls and just display the info on the screen. The other thing that I really liked was the ability to highlight a random data Nd see some common calc results like sum and average displayed in a floating window.
If you do not hav the app yet, and we're not used ot the feature, I cannot see how it would be a serious issue, as you wouldn't have it in your processes yet.
If you were hoping to have the functionality and cannot use the entire app due to that ommition, then I would say don't buy it.

  • About Full GC

    Hi,
My application does only Full GC, not simple GC. And these FUll GC are taking about 0.5 sec(i think that these times are too long). How can i improve this situation forcing to make my aplication do Simples GC?? seeking lower the GC times.
    Thanks in advance
    bye

    Thank you all!
The problem was that the app (in Production) was doing explicit System.gc() , and wh didn't have access to the source code. so i enable the JVM option DisableExplicitGC, and now all the collections are normal, not Full GC, and the CG times fall from 0.65 sec to 0.008 sec.
Thanks for your replies, hope this solution helps more people.
    Bye

  • My MacBook Pro's hard drive is about full, can I move a lot of the data to my 3 TB Time Capsule?

I have a late 2011 MacBook Pro 17 Inch with 750 GB of space on its hard drive.  About a month and half ago I bought a 3 TB Time Capsule and I know that Time Capsule, together with Time Machine, basically takes periodic snapshots of your hard drive and will rearrange/clean/delete files on your hard drive.  What I want to know is that since I'm about to run out of space on the internal hard drive can I move a good chunk of the data into the Time Capsule and free up that data on internal hard drive.  Videos take up about 75% of my MacBook Pro's hard drive so video's are my biggest problem.  If I can't do this with the Time Capsule I guess that's a con of the Time Capsule/Time Machine.
Thank you to anyone that answers!

You should be able to do that by partitioning but then how would that data be backed up?  If the Time Capsule drive fails, then all of that data is lost.  I would suggest you consider an additional external HDD for redundancy unless the video files are of no importance.
    Ciao.

  • Question about Full Table Scans and Tablespaces

    Good evening (or morning),
I'm reading the Oracle Concepts (I'm new to Oracle) and it seems that, based on the way that Oracle allocates and manages storage the following premise would be true:
Premise: A table that is often accessed using a full table scan (for whatever reasons) would best reside in its own dedicated tablespace.
The main reason I came to this conclusion is that when doing a full table scan, Oracle does multiblock I/O, likely reading one extent at a time. If the Tablespace's datafile(s) only contain data for a single table then a serial read will not have to skip over segments that contain data for other tables (as would be the case if the tablespace is shared with other tables). The performance improvement is probably small but, it would seem that there is one nonetheless.
I'd like to have the thoughts of experienced DBAs regarding the above premise.
    Thank you for your contribution,
    John.

    Good morning :) Aman,
    >
A little correction! A segment(be it a table, index, cluster, temporary) , would stay always in its own tablespace. Segments can't span tablespaces!
    >
Fortunately, I understood that from the beginning :)
You mentioned fragmentation, I understand that too. As rows get deleted small holes start existing in the segment and those holes are not easily reusable because of their limited size.
What I am referring to is different though.
Let's consider a tablespace that is the home of 2 or more tables, the tablespace in turn is represented by one or more OS datafiles, in that case the situation will be as shown in the following diagram (not a very good diagram but... best I can do here ;) ):
    Tablespace TablespaceWithManyTables
      (segment 1 contents)
        TableA Extent 1
          TableA Block 1
          TableA Block 2
Fragmentation may happen in these blocks or
even across blocks because Oracle allows rows
          to span blocks
          TableA Block n
        End of TableA Extent 1
more extents here all for TableA
      (end of segment 1 contents)
      (segment 2 contents)
        TableZ Extent 5
          blocks here
        End of TableZ Extent 5
more extents here, all for tableZ
      (end of segment 2 contents)
        and so on
(more segments belonging to various tables)
end of Tablespace TablespaceWithManyTablesOn the other hand, if the tablespace hosts only one table, the layout will be:
    Tablespace TablespaceExclusiveForTableA
      (segment 1 contents)
        TableA Extent 1
          TableA Block 1
          TableA Block 2
Fragmentation may happen in these blocks or
even across blocks because Oracle allows rows
          to span blocks
          TableA Block n
        End of TableA Extent 1
        another extent for TableA
      (end of segment 1 contents)
      (segment 2 contents)
        TableA Extent 5
          blocks here
        End of TableA Extent 5
        more extents for TableA
      (end of segment 2 contents)
      and so on
      (more segments belonging to TableA)
end of Tablespace TablespaceExclusiveForTableAThe fragmentation you mentioned takes place in both cases. In the first case, regardless of fragmentation, some segments don't belong to the table that is being serially scanned, therefore they have to be skipped over at the OS level. In the second case, since all the extents belong to the same table, they can be read serially at the OS level. I realize that in that case the segments may not be read in the "right" sequence but they don't have to because they can be served to the client app in sequence.
It is because of this that, I thought that if a particular table is mostly read serially, there might be a performance benefit (and also less work for Oracle) to dedicate a tablespace to it.
I can't wait to see what you think of this :)
    John.
