About Icons

Hello. I have some new icons, is it possible to change the icon of a movie file (for example) and use that icon for all movie files? I mean that next time I upload a new movie file the icon will be already changed, so I won't have to change the icon again or one by one.
Any answer is appreciated.

I already solved it.

  • About icons in forms10g

    hey all,
can we use .ico files as icons in forms10g.
as we use in prior versions of developer.
if no how we can convert these files into relative file format.
    thank's in advance

No, you can't use .ico in Forms 10g.
You have to use either .GIF or .JPEG files.
An easy first shot could be: Start windows programm "paint", open your .ico and then save it as .jpeg.
But then you also have to store them in an .jar archive and setup some paths.
I've seen more threads about this topic recently. Just search the forum.

  • Question about icon on lower right corner of picture

I'm new to Aperture, so I might be missing something simple here. There's an icon on the lower right corner of each of the pictures I've imported:
    http://thatchland.com/Picture1.jpg
I'm using 1.5.6. This hadn't happened at all before I imported older pics from my hard drive, from an older point and shoot. I tried to tag those accordingly upon import, so I'm thinking I may have set something, and not undone it yet.
Started a new project, imported the latest round from my 40D, and they still have this icon on the corner. It almost looks like the standard "I'm an alias" icon to me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Erik

  • Problem about icons

Hello to all. Since I upgraded to Mavericks 10.9.2 pdf, jpg or ms office icons appear with the logo of the Preview software (ms office with ms logo) and not as before with the thumbnail of the file's contents. If I create a new file, it has icon as before (preview of content) but when I reboot icon change with the logo of the Preview software.
I've already done repair disk and repair permissions but nothing. I've selected show thumbnail icon in the menu view but nothing change.

  • Reader icons for PDF saved on Desktop are not displayed

    Hello,
I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit installed on my computer. Whereas Adobe Reader typical icons are correctly displayed in every PDF documents saved on my hard disk, they are not displayed on those saved on Desktop. A blank icon is displayed instead. I have tried to repair Adobe Reader from Control Panel and to uninstall it and remove its leftovers on the registry by using an uninstaller program but the problem still persists. If I create a New Folder on the Desktop and cut and paste the PDF documents saved on Desktop on such folder, they are displayed but if I then move them back to the Desktop the blank icons are again displayed. Any idea what can be the cause and how to fix the problem?
    Many thanks,
    Ennio

  • ICONS are not appearing in oracle forms 10g

    Dear All,
    Good Morning.
I am using oracle 10g forms.
I had my old application in forms6i. I migrated it into forms 10g.
Application is running fine no function problem there is.
But icons are appeared into button.
Please tell me way, how can i configure for icons.

The above mentioned thread is talking about icons not appearing in the Forms builder and not at runtime. I don't think it will help you.
In Webforms displaying "Icons" it's a little bit different than client/server, Webforms use .gif files as icons and not .ico files and these files should be Jarred in a .Jar file and put in a directory where the JVM can reach.
Follow the instruction in the [url http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/pdf/webicons.pdf]Webicons file in page 3 under the "Don't want to learn about the details, Just get started!" it's very easy and fun.

  • Black and white and coulored icons in Gnome3 title bar

    Hello all,
I wonder about icons in the Gnome3 title bar. I did'nt changed any related settings.
I have an up to date physical installation and an up to date Virtual Box with beautiful black and white icons:
Today I upgraded a clone of the Virtual Box machine. This machine was not updated since months. The icons are colored now.
I thought all up to date installations should have the same theme and icons. Just for know, why they are different and where can I fix it?

Don't export it as a .jpeg which is unsuitable for B&W images, blurring them as rgb files (not B&W).
Better is .tiff (compressed B&W tiff are tiny) or 1 bit .gif.
It is also possible that .pdf vector files might work but I haven't experimented with those.

  • No icon in address bar

Safari used to show the icon for my web site in its address bar, but doesn't any more. There has been no change to the favicon.ico file, but our site is on a new server with possibly slightly different configuration. Also, more than one version of Mac OS X (and therefore probably Safari) has gone by since I last recall seeing the icon in the address bar.
If I trash the ~/Library/Safari/Icons folder, Safari re-fetches favicon.ico from the server, but still does not display it. The site in question is www.animalhead.com. Have the criteria that Safari uses for the "correctness" of an icon changed?
Any help would be much appreciated,

I keep answering my own questions on Apple forums. Does this make me eligible for any special awards, like "self-healing"?
After reading some stuff about icons, I had added the following line to the main configuration file (httpd.conf) of my Apache2 server, several months ago:
    AddType image/x-icon .ico
When I comment out this line and restart the server, my little favicon shows up just fine in Safari.
Wikipedia suggests using "image/vnd.microsoft.icon" instead of "image/x-icon", but I can't bring myself to try anything with the m-word in it just now. Maybe I'll try it in the future...

  • Xfce4 missing icons for menu items

My xfce4 seems to have blank icons for some of the menu items and I can't figure out why. I installed the entire xfce4 and xfce4-goodies groups.

maggie: are you talking about icons in the Applications menu applet? If yes, are the icons missing for applications which do not provide icons¹? If yes, then you have the answer: there is no icon displayed because there is no icon to display for the entry.
AFAIR, the pre-4.12 Applications menu applet displayed some ugly stock icon as a placeholder, but it seems that this behaviour is no longer present in the latest release. If you truly want icons for the entries, you may set them by editing corresponding .desktop entries. The best way is placing your overrides in ~/.local/share/applications as this will not pollute pacman-managed /usr/share/applications directory.
¹ See the corresponding .desktop entry in /usr/share/applications/ or ~/.local/share/applications

  • Weird icon display problem (9iAS Forms 9.0.4)

Let me start out with the fact that I have setup 6 or 7 systems displaying GIF's as icons in web forms (both Forms 6i and Forms 10g/9.0.4). So I know all about setting the registry.dat, virtual directory for the icons etc. I have setup the environment correctly (unless some fat finger typing has gotten in the way).
When I load a form in a web browser and I watch the status bar on the bottom of the broweser ( IE6 or IE7) I can see that it loads the GIF's (fortunately my server is just slow enought that I see the "loading .....xyz.gif" statements for my GIF icons.
What happens is that none of the icons display on the buttons. Of course when I run the form in the IDE the icons display as expected.
Has anyone run into this problem before and if what was the solution?
    TIA,

    1. The image files cannot be found or are not accessible. Just because you see something on the client that says "Loading..." does not necessarily mean it was found. Check the HTTP Server error_log. If you see HTTP 404 errors you have an access or virtual path problem.
Answer: No HTTP 404 Errors (no errors at all). FYI, Files are located in D:\icons (W2K server) and the Security is set to "Everyone" with Full Access/Control. The AS has "D:\icons" mapped to /icons and Registry.dat has the path set to /icons.
    2. You are using an image format that isn't supported. For example, Forms supports GIF files, but not GIF files with transparent backgrounds. Also, Forms does not support most of the compression formats associated with GIF and JPG. Test with an image that you know will work. For example the OTN Logo on this page. Right click on the image and choose Save Picture As.... or:
    http://www.oracle.com/admin/images/otn/otn_logo_small.gif
Actually, you should be able to simply put the entire URL above into the image filename field on the Property Palette for any Iconic button large enough to hold it.
I pretty sure this works in 10.1.2, not so sure about 904
Answer: You'll probably say this is not good enough, but the images work in the IDE, therefore I conclude that they should work on the AS (i.e. size and display type are correct/supported). I did not have a button that was big enough for the Oracle logo, hence I did not try it.
    3. The image size is too large for the button.
    Answer: see answer above.
    4. References to images are case sensitive. It is recommended that your image files (in the file system) use all lower case letters, including the extension. The reference in the form should also be lower case.
Answer: all image names in the property pallet are lower case and the actual file names are lower case (as shown in Windows Explorer).
With regard to the other post about icon names ending a list of specific characters, some do and some don't, but ALL my icons are NOT displaying.
Lastly, these exact same icons have worked in the past (who does not reuse icons?).

  • [PKGBUILD] icon-theme.cache is already present

    Hi,
I created a PKGBUILD to test « perroquet » (http://perroquet.b219.org/index.html), it's also the mean to do my first PKGBUILD ;-) so any comments are welcome. The PKGBUILD is here : http://pastebin.com/m943685e
Unfortunately, when I want to install my package, I get this error:
    $ sudo pacman -U perroquet-1.0.0-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz
    Mot de passe :
    Chargement des données du paquet...
    Vérification des dépendances...
it is in french, so to traduce roughly: « /usr/share/icons/hicolor/icon-theme.cache is already present in the filesystem »
this file /usr/share/icons/hicolor/icon-theme.cache is in the package and in my system, what should I do ? delete the file in pre-install script ?

    ok, thanks.
But I don't understand why I have this problem. Since my post someone put a PKGBUILD on AUR for perroquet and there is nothing about icon-theme.cache: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/perro … t/PKGBUILD (I can't try yet, I'm at work with Fedora ;-))

  • No icons in evidence

I got the evidence file manager (and other enlightenment stuff) from here:
    [fouiny_repo]
    Server = http://elusseau.free.fr/arch/fouiny_repo/
I know those are builds from cvs.
I'm not getting any icons, except previews for images, and evidence complains a lot about icons:
0 icon_view.c::icon_view_evt_do: no icon set for "/home/taco/3deNJ05.PDF"/"application/pdf"...  your mime.icons has no icon set for the "default" and "unknown" fallbacks.
0 ic_nautilus.c::icon_els_create: cannot thumb-nail, and no fallback icon given.
What does this mean? How can I fix it? Or should I just wait for the next build?

I think I found the real problem: in /opt/e17/share/evidence/themes, default probably is the default theme. It is a link to tosh, and when I run evidence --theme=tosh, I get the same problem. So the tosh theme must be broken.

  • Drag N Drop Icons

I would like the users to hold the mouse on a component such as a label with an icon. Then i would like him to be able to drag the actual label around on the screen and register where he drops it and what label it is?
A tutorial would be best if posible. It seems all the tuts here are about draging and dropping text, what about icons/ components.
    Thanks

I suppose you saw this one already, then?

Or here's another set; dragging and dropping in JTree sounds like it's not text-oriented:

These are just the first ones I found when I searched Google for the keywords "java drag and drop tutorial".
