About in tears from new adobe flash player 10.3 not working

After installing the new Adobe Flash 10.2.153.1 on my Windows7 64 bit computer, it can not be found when using my IE8 (does not show 32 or 64 bit only 256-bit).
I have uninstalled using your reference on "please read: when asking Flash Player questions" and then reinstalled. It is on the programs list as installed but when I go to a site that needs me to use Adobe Flash it says I need it install it. Whn I go to the adobe web site to verify that I have installed Adobe Flash it only has a box with a small red x in the corner.
I have updated my devices drivers.  I do not completely understand what a "kill-bit" is; however, I have gone into my registry and there is no registry keys that have {d27....etc}. There are many other numbers and most have a compatibilty flag of 0x00000400. So I must not have a "kill-bit" for Flash Player set. Not sure what that means.
Can you help me? And have I given you enough info?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

FYI - have uninstalled adobe flash player since we last replied should I try to install again?
I have checked this too and
*Shockwave Flash Object installed and Enabled. version 11.5.7.
* Yes at medium now (was at med high)
* have mcafee but just installed tonight your recommended microsoft security essentals (did a quick scan tonight)
* C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash - FlashInstall (txt file) and Install (txt file)
* No error messages - was told it was installed successfully
thanks!

The New Adobe Flash Player update doesn't work on my mac pro tower!!!! i've tried to reboot it and uninstall and restall it!!!!

I have the same problem. OS X 10.9.2 and Firefox 28. When I tried to go back to 12, I realized it is no longer available, I can only get 13, which leaves my pages blank.

  • Adobe Flash Player installer is not working.

Adobe installer is giving me a dark window with nothing else. Activity Monitor Shows the installer, But nothing is going on. According to terminal, the installer starts, and log out one second later. I checked the Adobe community's help site, and Apple's one also. It seems everyone has the same problem, And is not only Mac OS, but window's also.
For me it started with 10.10, never before, have seen the message that ''You have to update the Flash Player''. Now most of the Youtube, News sites, and movie sites are not working.
I followed all the recommendations in support communities, with well wished suggestions. But no solution has worked. Even used the Adobe suggestion to do a clean install.
And yes! I tried using HTML5, and others, but the sites that I like, won't work. I know is a blessing to forget about Flash, but...
Anybody knows what's going on? Any idea please?
Mac Pro, OS 10.10.1, Safari version 8.

You've DL'd the installer from that page and when the dmg opens and you double-click the Install Adobe Flash Player.app it doesn't show this?
If it does, you have to click the box indicating you've read the terms before the Install button activates.

  • Adobe Flash Player installed - but not working

I have Windows 7, 64 bit, with Internet Explorer 11.  On the day before Thanksgiving everything was working fine.  I received a greeting on 11/27 and was unable to open it - I was told I needed to install Adobe Flash Player - assumed it was an update - but since that time I've been unable to open any of the puzzles on Shockwave, or cards from greeting card providers - probably some other things, but I haven't found out about them yet.  Every time I try to open any of these programs, I get a message that I need to install the flash player.  My control panel shows that I have Adobe Flash Player 15 Active X, 6 MB, version 15.0.0.239 installed and the add-on manager under tools says it's enabled - but it escapes me what it's enabled to do other than drive me batty and waste all my time.  I've rebooted the computer, closed all IE windows, numerous times after uninstalling the program and then reinstalling it - all a waste of time.  Is there any advice out there?  Linda Kochefko, El Dorado, KS

is Active X Filtering something that should show up under Tools, Manage Add-Ons?  If so, I think I had it earlier this week, but it's gone now.  In my efforts to eliminate the Flash Player so I could reinstall a working copy, I may have uninstalled too much.  It's not listed under Programs or under Tools at this time.

  • Adobe Flash Player 11 plugin not working right

I have Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin, Widows Internet Explorer 8 and Microsoft Windows XP, version 5.1.2600.  Why is it not dowloading pictures?

You might as well stop wasting your time. The problem seems to be centered around FireFox (since Adobe Flash seems to work fine with IE and Chrome).  After FireFox begin running Flash as a separate process, it no longer retains preset volume settings for Flash, instead, each new FireFox window resets it to max volume. As a result, several times I've had my ears blasted (this can lead to hearing loss and/or damaged audio equipment). This only happens with newer versions of Flash. Consequently, I no longer use the latest versions in FireFox. I'm thinking about totally dropping FireFox and moving completely to Chrome. Looks like neither Adobe or FireFox are gonna budge to fix the problem.

  • Adobe Flash Player "upgrade" is NOT working/upgrading....

I have :  HP laptop, new less than 6 months; Windows 7; IE; and according to my Programs List, I have the 'current version' of Adobe Flash Player installed.......yet, when I try to view a video on youtube, or play a game through Facebook, it shows I need to "upgrade the Flash Player".  I have followed the links, all directions step-by-step, to upgrade, install, uninstall and reinstall the Flash Player.  I then check the list, it shows I have the most recent version, yet it still doesn't work.  VERY FRUSTRATED.  Any ideas to what is wrong?  Or, is this a current product issue?!?  Would appreciate any help!!

Could you please check if ActiveX is disabled?

  • Adobe Flash Player Installer Will Not Work

As the title suggests, my adobe flash player will not install on my Mac Book Pro.
About 3 weeks ago my computer started saying I needed to upgrade my Flash Player for it to watch videos. So I tried.
I went to Adobe.com and tried installing the Flash player, the file its self downloads fine, but when I try to run the installer It gets stuck at 30% every. Single. Time.
I tried uninstalling Flash player, turning plug ins on and off, no luck.
I was running 10.8.5 OS the other day on my mac, and decided to upgrade to OS Yosemite today to see if that would solve the issue, no luck.
I'm all out of ideas, please help.

    Try the offline installer:

  • Adobe Flash Player 10.1 Not Working

I have spent hours and hours and used a lot of ways trying to solve this issue, but still can't get FP to work .
After I update the Flash Player 10.1, everytime when I restart my computer and I go to a website using flash, the website will ask me to reinstall the FP.
Just like it can't stay in my computer. Once it runs, it works fine.
But when I check this website: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html
It said that the Flash Player is running in the browser. And my player version is WIN 10,1,82,76.
In the end, I'm looking to see how to get FP10 to stop trying to reinstall each time I open the computer. Thank you!

    ESET NOD32 4.2.40.29

Hello, All of your Flash Player files are correct and the add on also. Thanks for the screenshots.
Something may be in the browser that may be conflicting. Or go to Tools, Internet Options and click on the Security Tab and make sure it is set at Medium for Internet Zone.
Does NOD32 have any add ons in the manage add ons? Look under "Show" in all 4 categories and also the Toolbars & Extensions also. Try to Disable any and see if that helps.
Skype , RealPlayer or Quicktime can sometimes cause problems, their add ons.
If you have any adblock or pop up blocker I would turn it off for now.
    I will check back tomorrow.

  • Upgraded Adobe Flash Player for Mac not working for Youtube

There was a similar question already asked today. I also tried to watch a video on Youtube from a Mac (OS X 10.5.8) and Safari (ver. 4.0.2). However, instead of the video a recommendation to "Go Upgrade!" comes up on Youtube with the following link: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
I picked the right operating system, installed the player, restarted the computer, but am still getting the same message "Go Upgrade!" on Youtube.
Also, in the other message you recommend to go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ but I cannot see a Flash animation on that page.
    Can you help? Thank you!

  • Adobe Flash Player 10 download not working.

I have downloaded Flash player 10 with no success in using it. I have gone to the 32 bit process with same result. I used to be able to run things on here. Was that a old version? Why didn't that old version stay? How do I get it back?  Please advise

Thanks. Now you must follow these instructions exactly. Print them out to make it easier. What you are going to do is Uninstall the Flash Player that you now have. Then you will Install Version 9. Then you will Uninstall Version 9 and Install the latest Version which is 10.1.102.64. Be sure to use your 32bit browser for this and use the Administrator Account.
I would download and Save to your Desktop the Flash Player Uninstaller:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
Then I would download and SAVE to your Desktop version 9 under Solutions heading at this site for Windows:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/406/kb406791.html   Page down to this:
    Windows Flash Player 9
Internet Explorer: Download (1.46 MB) Use this one to download and SAVE to your Desktop for IE
Download and SAVE to your Desktop this Installer for IE from here: This is for Version 10.1.102.64, the latest
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
    Windows
    Internet Explorer
    All supported languages
    Download EXE Installer
USE THIS ONE TO SAVE TO YOUR DESKTOP
You should now have One Uninstaller on your Desktop and 2 Installers
Once you have those on your Desktop, then Close All browser windows, you only want to be looking at your Desktop.
Be sure to use the Administrator Account for this Uninstall/Install.
If you use any instant messenger services as yahoo, msn, aol or any others disable them in the system tray(area near the clock)
    Disable your Anti-Virus
Run the Uninstaller and then Reboot(restart) your computer.
Run the Installer for Version 9 and then when it is finished, Reboot your computer(restart)
You can check your browser here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/  You should see the Flash logo animate(spin) and the version of Flash Player will be displayed. It should say version 9
Now you will use the Uninstaller that you put on your Desktop. You will Run the Uninstaller to Uninstall that Version 9,
When finished, Reboot your computer. Now you will use the Installer and Install the Version 10.1.102.64 from above that is on your Desktop.
When it is finished, go to the test site and you should have Version 10.1.102.64 now Installed.

  • Adobe flash player settings buttons not working

    Hello.
Just recently I tried to play a few webcam games online,
however, upon loading the game and when the game is about to start
up my webcam (I suppose), it pops up with a request to allow access
to my webcam and microphone. Naturally this is okay, and is working
normally... But when I press the allow button... Nothing happens.
Same with the deny button. Actually, when I enter the settings
through right clicking, nothing clickable at all is responding.
I am using firefox 3.0.1. I have tried it with all
addons/extensions disabled and with IE 7 also.
I have also tried reinstalling flash player.
Please, if anybody knows the solution to this problem, or
even something that may help, I would greatly appreciate it.

  • I cannot download the new adobe flash player on my mac OSX 10.5

I have always been able to watch videos on line.  Now on msnbc it says I have to download the new Adobe Flash player in order to watch the videos.  When I try to download it won't do it.

Call Apple and file a formal complaint, it's Apple that is not supplying security or patches to 10.5 users and expects everyone to be computer guru's.
16.5% of Mac users are on 10.5 and Apple just denies security and stability updates to force you to upgrade your OS or your hardware prematurely.
There is a massive botnet of over 600,000 Mac's and the prime location is on 10.5 Intel Mac's which they refuse to fix.
Appe's "solution" is for you to upgrade your operating system to 10.6 or even 10.7 (this will make your machine slow and won't run a lot of your software, another "problem")
    http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
IMO 10.6  would be best for you, the least trouble, but you bought a Mac for it to "just work" as your not "into" computers, your just a regular user like most Apple's customers.
So call Apple and complain, then buy the 10.6.3 retail disk and stick it into your machine and upgrade and cross your fingers and update to 10.6.8.
Backup your persona data off the machine first to a storage drive and disconnect.
 Most commonly used backup methods explained
Once your on 10.6.3 use software update to get to 10.6.8, then you can install Flash.
