im having problem with installing the Sync software to connect my blackberry storm 9530. the problem is when i install the software, an error occurs. the error says that i have to install .Net Framework 3 or 3.5 don't remember.. so well when i install the .Net framework it says that i need Service pack 1 to install .Net framework. It would be difficult for me to install the service pack 1 only for the .Net framework. If only i had .Net framework i can Install Sync software.. LOL I really need to connect my blackberry to PC. any Ideas how to.?>

Would you please try to use another DVD creator to make the DVD?
To make sure that the original downloaded ISO file is good to use, please try to extract it via 7-zip and check if the setup.exe under the extracted folder can work fine.

It certainly appears to me the thread was off topic for the forum it was in, though my java/j2ee is really scant, so I can't say for sure. As such OP probably has no gripe against a thread lock.
Perhaps the question involved really which technology to use to solve a particular problem ... any may have skipped accross boundaries. As far as I can tell there is no appropriate 'general questions' category; but I suspect the thread might not have been out of totally out of context under
{forum:id=922} ... but some may argue this is more under j2ee than straight Java. So an alternative forum suggestion or move might have been a different way to go. That said .... forum moderators have limited spare time so if they choose to lock rather than move that would be okay by me.

I have a PCI-6024E card.After I installed the NI-DAQ version 6.9.3,I plug PCI-6024E card into the PCI slot of computer.But Measurement and Automation didn't find it in the "Devices and Interfaces".Then I pluged PCI-6024E card into different slot,the result was same.Could you please help me how to slove this problem?By the way,my operation system is windows 2000.I tried all troubleshooting method that on NI's website to improve this problem,but I failed.Please advise me some suggestion.Your soonest reply will be much appreciated.

1) The option you speak about is used to check if there are new driver versions for the products you use. The one I mentionned is not the same. You can access it through the last line of the same menu. It allows you to define whether MAX updates the list of the installed products on your demand or automatically. If the first option is checked, you must press F5 to update the display of MAX.
2) Your card may be defective.
- Was it detected by the operating system after the installation ?
- Does it appear in the list of the installed peripherals (Control Panel --> System --> ...) ? (As mentionned before I unfortunately don't remember the exact terms because I have been using french versions for a long time).
- Do you have another car

Complicated answer. First the apple in the upper left conner has a list of items below it. These items are referred to as "Apple Menu Items"
There are about 18 items and more can be added. Many people use these items as a shortcut to work. Often people use recent documents to get to a document they used recently. Another folder under the apple is called "control panels" This is very important and you will learn to use several including extension manager. But I would go slowly. I would not experiment yet. Get things going well first.

I downloaded OS 9.2.2, I have it on a memory stick.
Great.....No problems....Just click on the updater and it will update you to 9.2 This is far more stable. You should have no trouble at all. It is a very simple process. Just click on the installer and it will drop the updates to your system.
As far as a browser.
There are several that will work and are available for free. They include Netscape...I think you can go to 7 but I am sure version 6 works. Mozilla, Explorer.

Problem about installation directory of VSTO addin

our Addin can be installed successfully in any subdirectory under "%ProgramFiles(X86)%". But if we try to install it in customized directory, e.g. "C:\temp\addin". Then all the files are copied but it has an manifest error by starting
Word and then addin can not be loaded.
"Application manifest has either a different computed hash than the one specified or no hash specified at all."
Can Addin only be installed in programm directory or can the manifest be adapted, if yes, how can we do it in Visual Studio?

No, you can install an add-in to any folder you want. There is no restrictions. You can read more about that in the
Deploying an Office Solution section in MSDN. Pay special attention to the
Deploying an Office Solution by Using Windows Installer article which describes all the required steps for deploying add-ins.

Problem about Installation J2SDK1.3.1 on Solaris 2.6

I have installed J2SDK1_3_1_02-solsparc.sh on Solaris 2.6, and it prompted to me installation sucessfully. but when I run javac or other commands, it prompts to me the following error:

I had exactly the same problem. You need to apply patch 105591-12. This solved the problem.

it is usual to install the database and the AS on different servers, this is not a problem. concerning your errors: please make sure you carefully read the installation guides and the release notes. besides that, you have to be much more specific, if you need concrete help. so please provide the details.

Is this true about installation disks??

Is it true that certian OS cd's can only be loaded onto certain Mac's? Ex. Like a installation disk from a emac wont work on a powermac? What do the codes on the disks mean when it says "disk 1" and "disk 2" etc? I aquired a 2002 powermac G4 quicksilver and need to reinstall but dont have the disks. How will I be able to tell which installation disks to buy If i'm looking to install Tiger??

Tiger install DVDs are in short supply. Tiger is no longer available at the Apple Store but is still available for $129 by calling Apple Phone Sales @ 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753). For other sources, do a Google search for MA453Z/A and M9639Z/A . Also look on eBay. Be sure & buy a retail version (black with silver X) and not a model specific version (gray).

Did you select the Black&White VGA video driver? The second part of the Solaris installation (the java
webstart installer) is incompatible with B&W graphics and needs at least 8-bit pseudocolor graphics.
Try the VESA driver. It should support 8-bit graphics on almost every video adapter.
If it does not work with the VESA driver, then try installing from the "Software 1 of 2" CD, and choose
"bypass" on the screen where you select the video card / keyboard and mouse configuration.
The Solaris installation will continue in text mode.
Once solaris is installed, add the XFree86 video driver porting kit, and configure the video card using the
"kdmconfig" command.

Confusion about installation of Air 2.6

Hi everybody,
I would like to update to Air 2.6 but I get confused when I read information on the web. I am using MacBook Pro iOS 10.6.5 and flash CS 5 for apps development.
1. Is installation of Air 2.6 a simple step by using the Air 2.6 installer (http://get.adobe.com/tw/air/) ? I read some articles saying they need to copy and replace the files inside Flash directory.
2. Can I still use the old packager after installing Air 2.6?
3. I am now currently making an app using the old packager (over 80% finish). if I get updated to Air2.6, do I need to rebuild my program or I can use the new Air 2.6 to open the old .fla?
4. If I build an app by using old packager and get sale on apps store. After that I change to Air 2.6 for modifying the old apps to make new version. Can the app share the same apps-id, which means that they can be submitted as a update version of the old one?
I have read some articles on the web but I get confused with the above questions. I am an amature app developer who just know some programming.

There is no official way, that I know of, to overlay AIR 2.6 on to Flash CS5. However, there have been threads created that describe the manual process (see this post.) Doubts about installation and features

I'm a newbie on WebCenter Portal Framework and I have to build a PoC with some features like CMS, online collab, chat, analytics, single sign on, search engine and two sites.However, I don't know what should be installed in order to provide all these features.
Is there a integrated product suite or should I install WebCenter Content, WebCenter Portal, WebCenter Sites and WebCenter social separately ?

For your PoC first you need to know what you want exactly, web site? intranter portal?, collaboration?.
If you want websites probably your solution is only WebCenter Sites.
If you want "two sites" in a collaboration intranet your solution is WebCenter Portal : Spaces.
In the case of WebCenter Portal : Spaces you need to install WebCenter Suite (includes WebCenter Content, Portal, Discussions, Activities, Portlets...).
A PoC of your functionallity could be achieved by:
- Use WebCenter Portal : Spaces and create two spaces to simulate your two sites.
- CMS: Install and configure WebCenter Content for your WebCenter Portal : Spaces solution. Create one or two type of contents and create Content Presenter Templates to show them.
- Collaboration: With WebCenter Portal Suite includes Collaboration Server based on Jive forums. Configure it for use it with WebCenter Portal : Spaces.
- Chat: Read official documentation for how to integrate different chat providers to WebCenter Portal : Spaces.
- Analytics; With WebCenter Portal Installation includes Activities Service. Configure the collector for WebCenter Portal : Spaces and show metrics with OOTB Task Flows.

It looks like you are trying to install 8.2.2.2, but it can only be applied on top of 8.2.2.0.
I'm not sure why 8.2.2.0 is not available for Win32, but it is available for Win64.

Am I allowed to ask about installation rights on new OS ?

We have two Apple products in our home a Mac Book Air & a Mac Book Pro.
When new OS get released do we have to purchase the new OS twice, to install in two of our Apple products. I have only one Apple iTune account.

      I have IDESA 6.0 and NW 2004, should I install them in the same computer to have an enviroment of ABAP, would you please give me hint, if you have a DIY installation guide and configuaration guide, would you please share it with me ?
