About iPhone 5s update from 7.1.2 to 8.1.3

Is it good to update my iPhone 5s from 7.1.2 to 8.1.3? It may sound a weird question but actually my phone is working gud vid 7.1.2 plus I hv heard very negative things abt ios 8 so I didn't update my phone. But for 8.1.3 I read some gud reviews so was thinkin to update ma phone. Any suggestionsss ????

Do it, but be SURE to back it up first. I've updated my devices and we as a company have updated all of our devices with no problems.

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

  • Is there any "contraindication" about installing every updates from Windows Update (and Intel drivers)?

    Hello!
The question is in the title.
I decided to reinstall Windows 7 on my MacBook Air using Boot Camp and I'm trying to play a video game which is quite laggy. I downloaded and installed the lastest driver for HD Graphics 4000 and my computer didn't explode. Can I also download all the optional updates with Windows Update, including the ones concerning drivers? I read somewhere that we shouldn't install other drivers than the ones on the Boot Camp x.x Support Software installer... Is it true?
    Thanks!

    Peter,
From what I read, I thought Internet based clients always download from Microsoft Windows Update first?
"New in System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, when you have a software update point that is configured to accept connections from the Internet, Configuration Manager Internet-based clients on the Internet always scan against
this software update point, to determine which software updates are required.
However, when these clients are on the Internet, they first try to download the software updates from Microsoft Update, rather than from an Internet-based distribution point. Only if this fails, will they then try to download the required software updates from
an Internet-based distribution point. Clients that are not configured for Internet-based client management never try to download the software updates from Microsoft Update, but always use Configuration Manager distribution points."

  • Iphone 3Gs updated from 4.1 to IOS 6 but have issue, please help!

I bought this phone from UK and got jailbreak Pakistan.
It was running okay until I decided to upgrade from ios4.1 to ios6 because whenever I was trying to open facebook, safari was crushing.
Now its updated to IOs6 and I was taken to the activation screens, and begun with the welcome one, choose language, choose location services (later on it also disappears) and selecting Wi-Fi and/or iTunes for activation.
I chose a Wi-Fi network the process started, and gave me a message that it will take about few minutes to activate iPhone, few minutes later a screen with this message appears: "Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable."
Then, I decided to try the activation using iTunes. But alas no luck using iTunes, after few minutes, it shows the following message:
We're sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time.
Please try again later, or contact customer care.
I tried several times in both ways so  I started to find out some info about this trouble over the Internet  but I did not find any answer or solution either!
Now I dont know what is wrong and what to do, please help. Thanks

That's your problem, iTunes has detected a jailbroken device & errored out. Apple does not support jailbreaking & when detected, by iTunes, you get the result you're experiencing.
We can't help you here, you'll have to use Google & search for a site that can help you.
    Good luck.

  • IPhone 4 updated from 6.0 to 7.1.2 and now the picture no longer appears when receiving or making phone calls.  How do I fix this?

I updated the software for my iPhone 4 from 6.0 to 7.1.2 and now pictures (contact picture/picture ID's) no longer appear (take up the entire screen) when receiving or making phone calls.  They only show in a small circle which is not convenient at all.  How do I fix this, please?

You are welcome. I have seen numerous posts on this subject, so I suspect you are correct. It doesn't seem like a welcome change. You can send feedback to Apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Iphone 5S updating from the cloud

Is it preferable to update the IPhone 5S from the cloud or the Imac, what are the advantages.

    Either or doesn't matter.
If your around your Mac update via itunes.
If your not around your Mac and connected to wifi then do over the air update.

Why won't my iphone download updates from apple store?

Hi cindyhildy, follow these instructions below it has fixed my issue and should work for you.
Open app store, get the message "unable to connect to iTunes store", go to settings, change year to the last year it will let you (think I went to 2038), double tap home button and close app store,  go to home screen and then open app store and touch updates panel, should get a message "cannot get secure connection to server or something like that" go back to settings and reset the year to current.

  • Server behind TMG to grab updates from WSUS server

    Hey Guys,
The last topic I created about grab superseeded updates from WSUS, is what this is stil about cause I can't accept this installing updates manually as a answer. So I went ahead an did even more research on this.
To keep it simple I went ahead and adjusted the Local Group Policy / Computer Conf / Admin Templates / Windows Comp / Windows Update / Specify an intranet Microsoft update server (http://172.16.3.3:8530)
Allowed a Rule through TMG to allow by directional traffic of TCP 8530 between the server lan (172.16.8.x <-> 172.16.3.3)
When I click check for updates its good I can see the established connection using netstat on port 8530.
As soon as I click download updates, it tries to grab from internet based Servers... i can see the SYN_SENT right away and I can see the blocked http traffic on the TMG.
So I went ahead and set the GPO setting and removed the port allocation behind it (http://172.16.3.3) Doing a netstat after clicking check for updates showed connection attempt to 172.16.3.3 via http, So I added the protocol to the allow rule between the
servers, and sure enough it changed to established, and I see the allow through the TMG. However this now gives an error when i click on check for updates...
There has to be a way for me to get this dang server to get updates from our WSUS server on the other side of the TMG firewall.. but how?! what am I doing wrong?!
*NOTE* with the port specified in the local GPO of 8530, I can access http://wsus/selfupdate/wuident.cab perfectly fine. I ran wuauclt /detectnow and no errors reported in the WindowsUpdate.log file
*NOTE* The Wsus server is setup to cache all update to a local dir, attempted to see the files in there but all contained random string .cab files, wish they would just contain just the KBnumber and the msu files for easier verification of updates available
    in the cache.

The last topic I created about grab superseeded updates from WSUS, is what this is stil
A LINK to that post would be most helpful as I am absolutely clueless about what this post is about.
Allowed a Rule through TMG to allow by directional traffic of TCP 8530 between the server lan (172.16.8.x <-> 172.16.3.3)
The correct implementation for TMG is to create a Web Publishing Rule for the WSUS Server and ALLOW passthru of the client identity.
I see that you've specified a PRIVATE IP Address as the target of the WSUS server (172.16.3.3), so the first set of questions revolves around why there's a TMG server involved in the first place, where this "WSUS Client" is located with respect to the
TMG interfaces, and where the WSUS Server is located with respect to the TMG interfaces. Maybe all of this is in the original post... wherever that might be. I'm going to assume that you're *routing* traffic through the TMG from one private network to another
private network, most likely from the DMZ to the WSUS server in the Internal LAN. (Just an educated guess.)
The second set of questions... is 172.16.3.3 the IP Address of the WSUS Server on the Internal LAN, or is that the address of the DMZ Interface on the TMG. Configured correctly, it should be the former.
Third set of questions.... always a question I ask because it invariably sheds amazing insights into other network issues.... Why are you configuring the policy with an IP Address, rather than the hostname of the WSUS server?
There has to be a way for me to get this dang server to get updates from our WSUS server on the other side of the TMG firewall.. but how?!
Properly configure a Web Publishing Rule. It's that simple. I have a WSUS server "published" to the DMZ so I can patch my DMZ servers and it works perfectly.

  • Contract Mass Update from Bid/RFx Response functionality

In SRM 7.0 we have the following SPRO settings. Kindly explain me about Contract Mass Update from Bid/RFx Response functionality
SRM Server > Cross-Application Basic Settings > Contract Mass Update from Bid/RFx Response >
    Define Process Parameters
    Set Default Parameters
    Thanks
    srini

    Hi,
Contract mass update Process starts when an RFx response or bid is accepted. Where items in the RFx response or bid have the same suppliers, the same currencies, and the same products as one or more existing contract, the contract(s) is (are) updated with the prices and other header/item information from the RFx response or bid. If the RFx response or bid contains new products, these can also be attached to existing contracts with the same supplier and currency (append function), or a new contract can created.
    Coming to configuration part:
Define process parameters: Where you can define whether you want to update zero price quoted items to existing contracts or not (include / exclude options are available)
Set default parameters: Where we can control contract parameters for updated (either default / from RFx or BId), following SAP explanation will give you more clarity on it.
In this Customizing activity, you define which parameters are, by default, part of the contract mass update from an RFx response or a bid. To do this, select the Default Indicator.
You can select the Lock indicator to prevent the user from doing the following:
Deselecting a parameter that has been defined as a default parameter in Customizing
Selecting a parameter that has not been defined as a default parameter in Customizing

Maybe you should get new friends.
I'm not sure that recovery mode works when you have to trust the computer, but did you try it?
If you can't update or restore your iOS device - Apple Support
If that won't work, perhaps you can use Find my iPhone from a computer in your iCloud.com account to erase the device.
iCloud: Erase your device - Apple Support
This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone.
