About Jolt Repository

I happend a error when run repository editor.
After I input server ip and port <as in my ubbconfig file -n
file://192.9.100.2:8000>,it displays
bea.jolt.SessionException:Cannot connect to any file://192.9.100.4:8000.
Reason:NwHdlr:Cannot open socket.
Beafor I run "appletviewer RE.html",I have set CLASSPATH to include jolt
classes.
Who can help me?

Jolt repository problems

I am using wls 5.1, tuxedo 6.4 and Jolt 1.1. Does anyone know about a max number
of parameters for a particular service. Loading the jolt buffer seems to quit
after a service has approximately 270 parameters...unfortunately i need about
400 parameters. Does anyone know if the number of parameters can be configured
somewhere or if upgrading to a newer version of jolt will help? thanks

Problem with Jolt Repository Editing

I am suffering with a problem.A deficit of knowledge.
Here it is:
Our applications are running on Solaris 10 and Tuxedo 11gr1. If i need to add service in Jolt Repository how do I do it?
All I have access to server is via a Putty Terminal (black screen console) and we have a jolt repository file which I do not understand completely.
It has lines like this :
add PKG/GETFLTSCHDFRI01: I think this is a package.
add SVC/GETFLTSCHDFRI01: I think this is service declaration.

ep - No idea
bp - No idea
pf - No idea
po - No idea

I copied the "jolt" directory from the Unix server (which I can only access by Putty ) in my local windows machine.
I ran the below from Command Prompt.
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_45\bin>appletviewer C:\Users\Deb\Desktop\jolt\jolt\RE.html
The applet popped up but other than "Server" and "Port Number" everything was grayed out.
I received an warning like :Warning: Can't read AppletViewer properties file: C:\Users\Deb\.hotjava\properties Using defaults. in the first run but not in second run.
My ubb shows :

        SRVGRP=JOLTGRP
        SRVID=1000
        CLOPT="-A -o logs/slog/JSL.out -e logs/slog/JSL.err --

I checked port status.

Now when I am trying to connect from the applet putting the
"Server" as "unixserver"
"Port" as 32799
It gives an
bea.jolt.SessionException :Cannot connect to any //unixserver:32799
Reason:NwHdlr: Cannot get address by name.
Could you please suggest what is going wrong?

I used EMCA to creat a new OMS repository for OEM on the server, also I can see the new repository is successfully created. but, when I try to login from my terminal OEM interface(ask about username and password), it says that I don't have right credentials???
when I creat the repository, I creat three user names: one is for OMS, one for SYS, one for SYSTEM.
I even tried all that, no one works.
It is so strange, is there any friend can help me something???

Error using Jolt repository

I have tried using appletviewer to open the repository editor and got a "bea.jolt.serviceexception service not available GETKEYS" error. Then I tried to load the jrepository using
java bea.jolt.admin.jbld //localhost:15000 bulk_upload.txt
and got the same error. My CLASSPATH looks OK based on the documentation, and the default jrepository is in place. Both JSL and JREPSVR boot OK.
Any ideas most welcome

can you see GETKEYS when you do

Starting Jolt repository editor

currently I am dealing with problem to start repository editor. I am using an
evaluation
version of Tuxedo 7.1 and Jolt 1.2.1 and it seems to me, that there is
joltadmin.jar file missing at this evaluation.
Anyway, I was trying the older version Jolt 1.0 and it gives to me
Service exception: .FLUSHCACHE not avaiable...
Does anybody have any idea how to help me to edit repository ??

Even I have configured a documentum repository [ installed
Content Services forBEA Weblogic from Documentum with WLP 8.1 SP4]
when i try to login to the repository, I am getting the error in the server console.

I am working for a project on OBIEE in which this tool is used for Ad Hoc Reporting. I need to create a repository that should be generic one means i need to create a repository that i need to handover to the client.
This repository should be flexible enough so that they can create various reports based on their requirement .
I am not clear, is it possible to create a repository that will be a generic one? Can this be possible?
Can their is any approach to design that will be flexible and generic?

I think you can, because you can build in a lot of intelligence in the business and model layer.
My approach is always to make it first as generic as possible, and once I am ready with that I am going to look how to make it more flexible, so the end users can work better with answers.
However, have a look on:

Here you can see how to make a repostitory, first they make the model (generic)
and after that they add columns like "profit month ago" so the end users have more options in answers (flexible)

So building a repository is not hard, but the challenge is in building a good repository!

because the program name starts with Z* (and even more ZZ*!), it's a customer specific program.
Sometimes SAP delivers some additional reports via OSS and customers implement them locally as Z-report - but otherwise that's individual and not standard.
Ask a user of the customer, at which you have seen it first.

I need to integrate the Lotus Domino 6.5 with Portal, and I saw some thing in SAP help:
"If you use Lotus Domino Server Version 6.x or higher, a repository manager is available from an SAP partner."
I am not very sure with this. Cant I do this job with EP 7.0 standard delivery?

I think you should try asking the SAP Support.
They can point you to the SAP partner which can provide the Repository manager.
I am hopeful tht it will work with EP7 also.
As there is no such restriction specified in SAP help.

About changing repository

I have tried the example of MOBILEADMIN but now, I would like to change the repository to an other schema of the same database.
This schema is already populated (tables, ...) and I don't want to loose data of course...
What do I have to do ? Import/export from my schema to MOBILEADMIN schema or use the repwizard ???

There is no way using Oracle Lite tools to move the data. However, if you use Oracle DB tools or TOAD, you may be able to do so. In this scenario, you would then have to modify the file webtogo.ora to reflect the new MOBILEADMIN schema name. You can do this by opening the URL http://<mobile server>/webtogo/startup and make the corresponding changes.

A few questions to Oracle XMLDB Repository

1. First of all a general question about XMLDB Repository - what does Oracle suggest how to use the XMLDB Repository and for what (for which applications)?
The documentation doesn't tell me the main selling points of the Repository - perhaps it is a extension of the internet file system (+ XML support), or something similar...
2. Are the folder layers (for example /home, /sys/..., /public) stored in XML
form and are they accessible with an SQL-query? Because when i create a new folder or put i file into the repository via WebDAV or FTP a new record is
inserted in the xdb.xdb$resource table. For example when i create a folder /public/xmldemo and copy then xml files into test via WebDAV. To access them with SQL i can define an XDBURITYPE on each xml-file but isn't there another easier way to access them?
3. I can also copy other files into the repository - like .exe, .doc,... I mean i can't access these files via SQL, so what is the sense of this feature? Or
can i create an Oracle Text Index onto the whole repository and also search in .doc documents? If yes - how (Index onto which tables)?

2. You can access using SQL using RESOURCE_VIEW.
