Not sure where we go from here. I have submitted the suggestion... as you kindly suggested.
1. Pointed out that the free WebMatrix (mew-wm-vb) has left DW in the dust, respecting this important (some would say critical) system-wide HTML linking functionality in the Edit Tool.
2. With a phrase, indicated the end-user value of a global local html editor (ever-so humbly).
3. Made clear that DW should implement a LOCAL vs. CLOUD framework, which its current site-only framework cannot support (essentially where Microsoft has brought us, dumping its FP editor for a far too complex and NON-creative system programmer tool that happens to support HTML here and there).
Had no space in Adobe's minimalist suggestion form to example that I use Local HTML production to setup and configure my system, maintain communications, study developments, and so on. No space to point out that our mature resources are now multi-disk, even multisystem and Cloud integrated. But that would dust over the important new Cloud-Local boundary that has left DW with its head in the sand. Save the Ostriches! Seriously though...
The Security and Application complexity of moving from archaic site-only editing to Local editing is massive. Consider the logical dimensions of ADOBE CREATIVE CLOUD. Consider that Microsoft's ugly new WebMatrix instantly fills half your 500GB SSD C disk just to install the basic, totally drab edit tool (updates add another 100GB). You all... WE ALL KNOW that our systems are THE platform and HTML is 100% preferable to doc and pdf notes. HTML is universal. So WE are left to struggle in neocolonial darkness with Creative Technologies that refuse to adapt to our creativity. Burrowing now into tiny little Site holes, speckled across platforms lacking cohesion that only HTML can provide.
We are masters of minimalism, or is it only me? Thanks to Microsoft (?) for moving ahead with system-wide linking, without even providing HTML page previews. LOL, anybody? DW is now the only CREATIVE SURVIVOR, wheelchair status or not. - - Change is brutal. - - As I indicated in our private, Murray, for over a quarter century I have been using Notepad to write system-wide code. Looks like I'll be doing that until I die. But I consider myself an Artist, not a Programmer. Stuck with having made the effort to announce the missing need and indicate AVAILABLE PUBLIC MARKET METHOD (however bulky, something you tinker with daily)... and trampled in the dusty dark. As usual.

I'm running Yosemite, Mac 10.10. Please can you tell me my options? Lightroom 4 worked beautifully with my older cameras' raw files so I would like to continue using the application. Until the next version of Lightroom is released, you need to use the DNG Converter version 8.7RC to convert your RAW photos to DNG and then import the DNGs into Lightroom.

Create View without inbound, outbound and navigation link

+ EmptyView
In the PanelView, there are two buttons, button01 and button02. When press on button01, it shows View01; when press on button02, it shows View02.
Problem is:
How to do above things without creating inbound, outbound and navigation link.

Firefox wont let my mouse click on the top part of a web page it wont let the mouse curso recognize a link and wont let me click on links in about the top 2" of a web page

if I am looking at a webpage doesnt matter which one and I move the cursor to a link in the top 2" or so of the page it will not recognize that it is a link and let me click on it the cursor stays just as the arrow and doesnt switch to the hand to let me click and open the link

that was it I somehow figured it out right after I posted the question up here all I did was right click on the gray part of the tool bar and unchecked yahoo so it wouldn't show up thanks for the help.

How to hide links and tab

I am working on SAP Sourcing 7.0. There are few changes I am trying to do in my system. They are:-
1>I am trying to hide Xpress tab from the top navigation. I went to the Setup->Workbench page. I have seen XPress is Default Buy-Side Template for XPrress Tab and Enable to hide check box is disabled. I tried to edit the page but no success.
I am able to add new page and able to hide. Pl let me know we can hide Xpress tab or not.
2>I am trying to hide Reference guide, setup, about and help links. I am able to hide Reference guide link via making changes in the security profile. But rest of the link I am not able to do. Pl let me know if itu2019s possible or not.

Thanks for reply.I was able to hide XPress via hit and trail, once again thanks for input.But this changes are reflecting globally. Is there any way for hiding these links for specific user..?
1>I have observered in the security profile's Access right dropdown System option is available, Once i select, i can see different permission options and setup is among the one of them. What I am thinking I can restrict the user permission at this lavel, if I am not able to hide setup link.

The mazor issue I faced was if I use wrong toolbar id, system starts throwing Oracle error after clicking setup link and all tabs are not visible.
I faced such error yesterday when i was trying for hiding XPress. At this situation how to solve error. I know via giving correct toolID value system will start working fine and i have done the same...:), but is there any other way of resume the system to original state.

Preserving PDF links and actions created in Acrobat after editing in Illustrator

I created an interactive PDF in Acrobat from an Illustrator file saved as a PDF. It's basically an interactive prototype that simulates dropdown menus, highlighted selections and navigation between screens. Using the Link Tool, I set layers to appear through the layer visibility action, and certain layers to toggle through javascript. Since the prototype is evolving, however, I have to periodically make minor edits to it in Illustrator. Once I make an edit and save the PDF again, when I open up the saved document in Acrobat, all the link tool actions are gone. This is highly frustrating because most of the edits take just a minute or two in Illustrator, but I have to re-create all the links in Acrobat when I'm done, which takes a very long time. How can I make minor edits in Illustrator while preserving the action elements I created in Acrobat?

Well, that's a bummer. It's so close to a feasible workflow for generating quick early-stage prototypes that you can continue to work on.

My homepage will load about 30% and then i'm dead in the water. when i close firefox it appears to close but when i try to reopen it tells me that it's already running. started with beta 6 i deleated and loaded ver 5 no change

when i start firefox, everything starts normal then my homepage (igoogle) starts to load, gets to about 30% and stops. from there i can click on links or bookmark and a new tab will open but no page will load. i can't get anywhere. then when i close firefox it appears to close normally but when i try to reopen firefox i get a message that firefox is still running but not responding and the only way to shut it down is to reboot. when it first occured i was running beta 6 (since it became available, i also used beta 4 & beta 5) i then uninstalled beta 6 and downloaded and installed ver 5 same problem. i then did a system restore to a time before the problem.. no luck. i'm not sure what to try next. IE & chrome both work fine

I'm in exactly the same boat - dead at blue screen, only option is to salvage using target mode.
I don't currently have access to another Mac to do target mode. I was planning to buy a new Mac this fall anyway, though. 2 questions in preparation for that purchase:
1) Is there anything I can do before buying a new Mac to make the salvage process more successful? ie, should I spend the time and money going to the genius bar to have them help me get from totally crippled to partially crippled? (As for expertise, I'm a proficient consumer-grade user, but Apple Support walked me through the safe-boot process, etc.)
2) Is Apple going to provide 10.5 once it is released to people who buy a new Mac in these 6 weeks pre-release?

On YouTube, I can't play playlists there. It says I need to update my Java and it is updated already. When I go to different sites like Yahoo! the links and images are all distorted. This is the second time this has happened to me now

I am having problems with my Firefox's image processor I believe. My web browser is fine but then a few minutes later I get some weird look on my page. It then just stays here and I can't fix it. When I go to Yahoo all the links and images do not look normal. I really cannot explain this and wish I could send a picture instead. When I go to the Log in page for Facebook I do not see the image of the small faces networking around the world. It's blank and the links are widely spread apart. With YouTube the page is also distorted. Nothing is arranged properly. I can watch videos. However when I go to someone's profile or a playlist videos cannot play or show up. It says I need to update my Java player and it is already updated. It still happens when I uninstall and re install back. I was only able to fix this problem by uninstalling everything related to Firefox. I do not know how to solve this any other way. I don't like it when all my information is lost such as saved passwords and bookmarks. If there is any way to solve this thanks. I don't want to uninstall this again.

Safari 6.0 crash when right clicking a link and choosing open in new tab

Hi all, just a general question. I admit i did not search the forums yet. Hopefully this little annoyance can be resolved.
When using safari on say CNN.COM i'll right click on a link and choose Open in new tab. safari randomly disappears. no crash warnings, just gone. I can open it right up and be fine sometimes all day. This has happened to me about 5x since ML was released (i wiped my laptop the day it came out)
This has happened on a couple of different website at different times of the day. only safari was running. No other apple apps have this issue.
I have a MacBook Pro from earily '08 type 4,1
i have only apple software on this machine
i do have adobe flash installed v11.3 updated today.
i do have lastpass enabled
i do have ad-block disabled
While i'm waiting for help from you guys i'll disable all addon's and try to remove adobe to see if that is the issue. Is there any other steps i can try like delete .plist file or maybe even trying a new user profile. I am a IT professional and am not afraid to get my hands dirty trying to get this resovlved.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.
Step 1
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Post the messages from the time of the last crash, if any — the text, please, not a screenshot.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.
Step 2
Still in the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports for crash reports related to the process. The report name starts with the name of the crashed process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the contents — again, the text, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) I have created a navigation system on the master pages and set the presentation to links only mode. I also have other links scattered throughout the program, like a linkable table of contents, etc. Some of them work, some of them don't. Not sure why. Anyone out there having similar issues? Or have any idea on how I can solve this issue? Any help would be appreciated!

Links should not create any problems in Keynote. If they are set up correctly on text, the text will be underlined. Objects that have links will have a curved arrow bottom right, if you click the arrow a popup will display the link information.
Try this repair for Keynote, ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:

delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote, using Appcleaner from Mac Update, its a freeware application

empty the trash: Finder > Empty Trash

Shut down your Mac, wait 30 seconds, then power on the Mac, immediately after the start chime, hold down the Shift key
When you see the grey Apple symbol and progress indicator (a spinning gear), release the Shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, then hold down the Shift key again as you click Log in.

Let the Mac fully boot up, it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive
5
when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive then First Aid tab and click repair disc permissions

when complete, restart the Mac normally, Apple menu > Restart

install Keynote from the Mac App Store

How do I stop Firefox from opening a new tab when I click a link or navigation button (such as "home") instead of redirecting using the currently open tab?

Any time I click on a link within a page, such as the "home" link in Facebook, or the various links on the Mozilla page that I needed to follow to get to this screen, Firefox opens a new tab instead of redirecting using the tab I'm on. Also, Firefox doesn't go to the new tab, it just opens it. So if I want to actually go to the page I've just clicked on, I have to then also find and click on the new tab that just opened.

EJB Finder View Links and CMR

Hi,
Can someone please give me some input on the following warning in the JDeveloper online help!
"Warning: You cannot create an EJB finder view link that expresses the same relationship as a CMR."
I'm new to EJB, BC4J and JDeveloper. I created container managed entity beans with local interfaces only to represent my data and relationships. No problems with the mapping so far.
To test the beans I used Session Facades with remote interfaces and build a sample test client.
Now I thought I could create EJB Entity Facades, EJB Finder View Objects, EJB Finder View Links and EJB Application Modules to make use of the BC4J framework in order to speed up programming clients (JSP and JClient).
So I've started studying the JDeveloper online help (which seems to be very useful) and found the above mentioned warning.
Well, better a warning than nothing at all, but some more explanations would have been even better.
Is there no need to use view links with CMR?
How to achieve the same functionality (synchronizing two view objects in a master-detail-relationship) with CMR?
Do you know any examples? I couldn't find any examples using EJB entity facades in the "sample code" area on OTN.
Any comments about other (better) architectures are also welcome. Would it be better to use BMP entity beans in conjunction with BC4J?

thank you for your reply and suggestions - I'll count on that. If I find time I'll read this book. It seems to be very interesting.
For educational purposes I'd like to look at both persistence implementation strategies. I agree that it looks definitly easier to use entity objects. Certainly it's also performancewise a better choice.
Anyhow, could you give me some useful tips for cmp entity beans and finder view objects?
Is there something which works completely different if I use BC4J on top of it?
How to implement a master-detail relationship in JClient (Swing) for example?
What about writing an ejbfinder which doesn't return all, but all data where the foreign key is equal to a parameter passed to the finder method and use this as the source for a detail view object. This could be the primary key of the selected master. Well, I don't know whether this is doable. But that's what comes to my mind spontaneously.
Would this be a solution? I'm still thinking about the aforementioned warning in the online help regarding view links.
I guess the problem is that the foreign key is not part of the entity bean as it's not a cmp-field. Instead you have accessor methods to retrieve a related object or a collection of objects.
I'm sure my questions are not too complicated to answer. It's only hard for a beginner to get an overview.
I'm quite confident that I'll manage this if I give my best and get some help from knowledgeable people like you Steven.
