About local object

Hi,
I don't know if here is the place correct to ask this but maybe someone can help me. Where can I see the local objects?? Because I save a program in local object but I need it to change the package but I can't.
Well I hope someone can help me
Thanks

go to tx: se80
on left side select local objects
and give your login name
you will get list of objects saved locally by this login
to change package:
right click(context menu) on your object(program etc)->more functions->change package.

  • A question about creating packages as local objects in ABAP

    Hi,
I have a question about creating packages with SE80. Whenever I create a new package it is assigned a new transport request. After that, I can create new programs inside this package, and each time I can choose whether to assign the new program to a transport request or just save it as a local object (I often do this for test programs that I don't transport and I remove them once my tests have been done).
What I would like to ask is that, is it possible to create a package (and not just programs inside a given package) as a local object? so that every new object created in this package will be considered as a local object?
    Thanks in advane,
    Kind Regards,

Please also check the F1 help for the package field e.g. in SE80, SAP standard is in range A-S and U-X, namespaces start with "/", so you should be save. I am using the T namespace for temporary stuff since a long time and did not have a problem so far.

Thank you very much for this remark, I checked F1 help for the package field and in fact as you mentioned these ranges are for local objects.
Once again, thank you very much for your help.

  • Question about Local Variables (Multiple answers welcomed!)

A couple of questions about Local Variables
    1. Programmers always say: “Do not abuse of Local Variables”. I’d like to know, when and where Local variable are most efficiently used?
    2. If I have to create a couple of local variables, is there anyway to “clone” them without going through the repetitive “create/local variables” mouse click each time? (When I try to copy and paste, it creates a new variables instead of the one that I am trying to reproduce)
    3. Which is faster in execution: Updating a variable through a) writing to property node/value or b) through local variable
Everyone’s input is welcomed, so if this question is already answered, please
feel free to add additional comments/answers!

    1. Use Local Variables in user interface code and no where else. The only exception is using a local variable of a cluster output to define the datatype for a bundle by name node.
    2. You can drag copy them then right click to get to a menu of all the currently defined controls and indicators on the VI.
    3. B. The problem with A is that it forces a thread switch to the user interface thread--which can take time if you aren't already in it, and it's a very convoluted process under the hood. NI's advice never update indicator values through a property node unless you absolutely, positively can't figure out some other way of doing it.

  • Local Objects Transport

    Hi All,
Some of my objects in query builder has been saved as local objects. Can anyone please tell me how to include those objects in a transport request.
I searched the sdn but did not find anything. They do talk about changing the package but how to collect them and put it in the request.
    Thanks

    Hi,
       Just refer this forum.

  • Local object identification

    Hi All,
Please let me know whether there is a table which holds information about the PROGRAM's reference to other objects.
For Example, say program A uses n number of references to other objects like data elements, calls n number of  Function Modules, tables ect. Is there any table or FM that lists all these references?
    Please do reply.

    Hi Saravanan,
The better way is to get all the references for all type of objects like programs,Function modules, function groups, packages ,classes, interfaces,BSP applications, local objects, inactive objects, etc, the ultimate tcode is SE80,
there u can find everything about the above said objects.

  • Notification about cache objects changes when node dies

    Hi Guys,
         Coherence 3.3.1/389
         .Net API 3.3.1.2
Sorry, i did not find in forum something similar to my question.
         Well, i have this situation:
         I have 8 Coherence nodes.
I have one client connected to Coherence node number 1.
The client have been listening for notifications about cache objects changes.
Coherence node number 1 dead for some reason (not enough memory).
What's happened with the client which was connected to this node?
I think it just reconnect to other one, but what's happened with notifications which occurs until the client reconnects?
         Regards,
         Dmitry.

    Hi Dmitry,
Notifications are delivered only while the client is connected. So if the client or its proxy fail, upon reconnection, the client will need to recover appropriately.
If you're using Coherence's built-in client-side data management features (such as Near cache or ContinuousQueryCache), Coherence will do this for you automatically (resynchronizing the local datasets).
One other comment, the reconnection attempt is lazy and the client will not reconnect until your application code touches a clustered resource.
(EDIT: If store-and-forward guarantees are required, then you can queue those messages on the server on a per-client basis in a dedicated NamedCache, which the client can then consume at its leisure whenever connected. This is an application-level construct.)

  • The Local Object can be clustered?

I hava two EJB in one jar file. One EJB is a Local Interface Entity Bean, another

the jar file into weblogic 6.1 cluster.I want to know the jar file can be clustered.I

I'm sorry for not providing you the document. In fact all the documents I ever saw
say that the local object can't be clustered in WLS6.1 .But I really test a situation
that can be clustered.I was also every puzzled. The situation is depicted as followed. But
the situation can only implement the load balance while the Fail-over failed.

    Hi,
You can get it from "User" or "Shop" business object.
Try to get User or Shop Business Object as shown below.
    BusinessObjectManager bom = (BusinessObjectManager) userSessionData.getBOM(BusinessObjectManager.ISACORE_BOM);
    User user = bom.getUser();
    char decimalNotation = user.getDecimalPointFormat().getGroupingSeparator();
If you are seeing "1,234.00" then above code will return "."
I hope this information help you to resolve your issue.

  • How to append contents of a local object to dynamic internal table ?

    Dear ABAP-Specialists,
i am trying to append contents of a local object to a dynamic table. The most relevant lines are the ones written in bold
I guess the append is the problem due to the reason that a unknown format has to be assigned to a fixed format somehow.

This might help - you should not reference the data reference directly:
DATA: lt_t001 TYPE TABLE OF t001,
          ls_t001 TYPE t001.
DATA: lr_dref    TYPE REF TO data.
    DATA: lv_tabname TYPE tabname.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS: <lfs>      TYPE table,
                   <lfs_line> TYPE ANY.
    lv_tabname = 'T001'.
    TRY.
CREATE DATA lr_dref TYPE TABLE OF (lv_tabname).
        ASSIGN lr_dref->* TO <lfs>.
      CATCH cx_sy_create_data_error.
    *     Do something
    ENDTRY.
    SELECT * FROM t001 INTO TABLE lt_t001.
    LOOP AT lt_t001 INTO ls_t001.
      ASSIGN ls_t001 TO <lfs_line>.
      APPEND <lfs_line> TO <lfs>.
    ENDLOOP.

Can you please give me more suggessions to solve this problem ...

    Hi Shashi,
If it is getting assigned to a TR then it can't be local object.
Can you give some more details. Also which system, version you are on.

  • Screen 910 getting saved in Local object - not even asking for Package

    Hi ABAPers,
I am using Enhancement CONFPP07 and for this created Z project in CMOD.
When I am creating the screen 910 for the screen exit SAPLCORU_S of that Z Project, that 910 is getting created in Local object not even asking for the Package and the request.
I tried to create that screen from the SE80 in the function group XCOF, there also it is getting saved in local object.
I tried to do it from SE51 also, but arrived that screen in the local object only.
Please Suggest me with your valuable comments.
    Thanks and Regards
    Pinaki Mukherjee

Do a version management on the screen and see if it was ever created before and then deleted. If so, reassign it to the package you want.

  • Getting information about an object from JList

    Hi
I have created a movie application and i have a JList displaying all registered movies, it uses a DefaultListModel to display these.
I want to be able to click on an element in the JList and then push a button called "Show movie details" to display all information about the selected movie.'.
Every new movie is added to the DefaultListModel as an object with "Titlle", "Genere" etc. If someone click on a movie, what do i do to get information about which object that was clicked. All i can see is that integers can be returned with the getSelectedIndex/Value methods. If i use one of these methods to get the object from the DefaultListModel, that would work i guess, but what when someone deletes a movie in the middle of the JList, then the indexes wouldnt match.
Can someone help me out here? :)

I get a big fat exception when trying to cast the returned object to a Movie object which im using.
    Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.S
tring cannot be cast to Movie
...sure that this is the way to do it? If so, what am i doing wrong..

  • Problem in saving 'Z' develpments to Local Object

    Hi Experts,
Let me explain my the client settings first -
I'm working on a implementation project. We have a development server having four clients as 311 sandbox, 322 - customizing client (Without transactions and masters), 411 - Testing client and 422 as a golden master with all configuration and master data.
    The path is  322 >> 411 >> 422
We do not have configured TMS till now.
While i'm creating any 'Z' development whether report or table or do any changes on the 311 client i.e. sand box and saving it as a local object or save in a request the changes or newly created reports can directly affect the upto client master i.e. 422 without transporting the request.
Because of this i'm facing problems as if i created any report just for testing on 311 i.e. sandbox it directly appears on every client without transporting request even when it has been saved in the local object. Also if i do any changes in any sap standard screen, program or in any object as per SAP notes on 311 they directly affects whole development system.
Please guide me how to set the system landscape to avoide this.
    Thanks
    Amol

    Hi,
all development and client independend customizing is visible at once at all clients of an SAP instance.
You have create separate instances like YA1(100) = DEV; YA2(100) = TEST; and YA3(100) = PROD. As a customizing sandbox in DEV a separate cleient might be helpfull.
All instances could be created at the same server in an early stage of the project. Later at least for production a separate server should be used.
Some consultants with some experience could save costs in such a project.
    Kind regards,
    HP
