About make multiclip sequence

Hello:
I can´t understand the utility of that.Could anyone tell me which is the function of make a multiclip sequence.
Thanks a lot.

Lets say you were hired to video a U2 concert in Central Park NYC. They will only play 3 songs. There is no chance for a second take. You bring 16 cameras. They all are recording from the first note to the last reverberation.
Now, you have to cut those 16 takes into one video. How do you decide which camera to use at any instant? Why, Multiclip editing of course!
You throw all 16 clips up in the Viewer in a 4x4 matrix and, while watching all 16 streams which are playing back in perfect syncronization, simply pick the best camera for that instant. When done with the edit, collapse the timeline and finish.
That's what Multiclip editing can do for you.

  • Make Multiclip Sequence glitch in final cut pro 7?

Hi, I'm trying to sync two cameras and audio, all with the appropriate timecodes.
Within final cut pro 7, i select all of my video clips and audio I want to sync, right-click and hit "make multiclip sequence," and the appropriate menu even pops up with the matched up files by their respective timecodes, but often when i create the sequence it will be blank, or contain just random clips of audio towards the end. does anyone know why this happens? very frustrating because it works great sometimes, but frequently i get a blank sequence and end up using plural eyes.
    xdcam footage
compressor is xdcam ex 1080p24, files are from an f3 camera that i rewrapped in xdcam transfer before bringing into fcp 7.

Thanks Michael, the problem is definitely the audio (syncing the two video clips by themselves works, it creates a new synced sequence), but I edited the audio in a new sequence and exported it, and when i tried to sync it it didn't work.
the frustrating part is that when i select just the audio and the two video clips (that have audio), the multiclip menu pops up syncing them (so close!) , but when i create a new sequence it's blank! even more frustrating is that this process used to work and no longer does.

  • Creating a multiclip sequence, HERE'S A REAL STUMPER for all you Pros...

    Ok,
this one is a real doozy. We've tried everything we can think of.
Workflow: Three HDX-900 cameras, jam-synced to clocktime and shooting a sports event at 30p (59.94fps) DVCProHD. Recording onto FireStore-100s and backing up onto DVCProHD tape. Dumping firestore DVCProHD footage directly into FCS2. Everything looks and sounds great. We labeled each angle field in FCP according to the camera (A, B, C). We carefully labelled the reel numbers according to our project (P1031308A0101).
I selected the 3 bins (each bin holds the footage from each camera) and made a multiclip sequence. It was UNABLE to make a 60 minute multiclip with the footage from the three cameras spread out according to their timecode. It kept trying to make about 30 multiclips, few of them with overlapping timecode. a couple of the clips did sync together into a 3 camera segment, but most of them failed to find each other. We played with the overlap slider and all of the settings in the multiclip window, and at various points FCP tried to offer us 4 or even 5 camera angles of footage, all from our three angles, each with its own embedded and (seemingly) functional TC. It would NOT simply do the obvious-- take the free-run timecode and arrange each clip along a linear timeline within that timeframe and multiclip them together to form a three-angle view of the sports event.
    Why not?????
Now, one issue we have with this workflow is that the FS-100 drives are unfortunately FAT32, meaning every 2.2 minutes (2 gigs) the FS-100 automatically cuts the footage into 2 gig chunks. but in a regular non-multiclip sequence, this split-up doesn't seem to affect the footage, or timecode at all, and the first frame of the new clip is one TC frame after the last frame of the previous clip, the way it is supposed to. I don't know if this is relevant.
Also, I don't know if this is relevant: We have been shooting in 59.94 fps, 30p, and we have been using the 60@30 method of viewing TC in the viewer and the project settings.
I am thinking that if there was a way to take all my 2.2 minute clips and put them together into a giant master clip (without exporting and losing quality) then my simplified work environment would allow for a working multiclip.
There are three of us in the edit room and we have been trying to multiclip this stuff for hours. We need this solved today. Is there anyone who has an idea? I think we've tried everything obvious. Our computer is a new MacPro with 4gb RAM, capturing onto an eSATA hard drive

    Kevan,
    Thanks for the hey hey.
    TonyTony,
I have lots and lots of 2 minute clips. But we finally figured it out. It's a failing of FCP's multiclip feature to recognize segmented files that originated on a FAT32 drive. Basically, you simply can't, as of FCS2, make multiclips from several files that were automatically split into 2gig segments, even if their timecodes were maintained.
So the solution: I took each camera's footage, lots and lots of 2 minute clips, and pasted them together in quicktime pro to make a longer sequence. then i saved a reference file to the long sequence and brought that into FCP. I did the same for the files from the other 2 cameras. Then multiclipped those reference movies.
The newest version of the FireStore firmware has a setting that lets you create a quicktime reference movie from within the firestore that links the segments together. so my workflow for the future involves making these reference movie, bringing only the reference movies into FCP, and multiclipping them. problem solved.
probably 2 people who are reading this understand what i'm talking about; i'm not particularly great at explaining things. but we're back up and running . thanks for reading.

  • Multiple Audio Tracks for Multiclip Sequence

    Hello,
I apologize if this answer is in the manual. I've been through it numerous times but can't find the solution. I have two long clips that I want to use multi-angle editing with. I have one audio monotrack on the first clip and two diff. and seperate audio tracks on the second clip (Left track is from one mic, Right is from another mic).
I want to set up a multiclip sequence so that there are 3 or 4 audio tracks below the single combined multiclip video track. I then want to edit in real time making cuts to the video and simultaneously cut all three (or 4) audio tracks at the same time. I know how to do this last thing but I don't know how to create the sequence with 3 or 4 audio tracks.
Any help would make my Sunday productive.
    Thanks,
    Peter Kraniak

  • Where i can read about make extended panel for Photoshop cc 2014?

where i can read about make extended panel for Photoshop cc 2014?

It was experimental in CC first release its now supported in CC 2014 not experimental.
    Support for Windows touch devices
New in this release of Photoshop CC
Photoshop CC now supports Windows 8.1 touch devices like the Microsoft Surface Pro, so you can use pinch, zoom, pan, and rotate.
In Photoshop, two-finger touch gestures are used to control the location, rotation, and scaling of the Image > Canvas view. Users may alternate between touch view control and other interactions using the mouse or stylus, but touch may not be used simultaneously with other input. Touch control is convenient when painting on large touchscreen monitors, which are difficult to rotate physically, and on tablets to avoid constantly shifting the device.

  • Doubt about Report - Task Sequence - Deployments

    Hello,
I have a doubt about this report Summary report for a task sequence deployment in Task Sequence - Deployments.
Last Friday I did deployed in 6 desktop ran this report and display my 6 desktop's all right.
Today a run this report and display no data.
Why occurred this? Anyone have idea?
I think this report have display me all data about my task sequence specific.
    Thanks.

Are you sure the deployment wasn't deleted or recreated?
Query your DB and see what the NumberInstalled says.  That should show you 6 were installed.  You just need the Deployment ID added to this query below.
    select *
    from dbo.DeploymentSummary
    where
OfferID = 'YOUR DEPLOYMENT ID HERE'
    Best, Jacob I'm a PC.
My TS wasn't modified or recreated, but in DB display NumberInstalled = 0.
Anyone have modify this TS since last friday, I don't know the reason this happened.
I will do news deploys and see this report after if still have same issue.
    Thanks your opinion.

  • Exporting multiclip sequence

How do I export a multiclip sequence?
When I select the sequence and go to Export a message tells me I have no media.
    But of course I do.
    Where is it?
Just want to export an uncompressed 1 minute sequence.
Can't find pertinent instructions in the manual.
    Thanks
    LD

    LynnDiana,
Are you trying to export a Multiclip, or a multiclip sequence? A multiclip sequence should export just like a standard sequence.
Perhaps if you could provide a bit more detail on exactly what it is you are trying to do here. What format are your source clips? Have you created a multiclip sequence? How many clips are in this multiclip? How are you attempting to export? Plus any other details regarding your workflow. Without details, we can only guess.

  • About make to order

    Hi
can any body give me the brief overview about make to order scenario
    pls.....
    thanks
    prasad.

Make-to-order production is a process in which a product is individually manufactured for a particular customer. In contrast to mass production for an unspecified market where a material is manufactured many times, in make-to-order production a material is created only once though the same or a similar production process might be repeated at a later time.
    You can use make-to-order production:
For branches of industry or products where a small quantity of products with a large number of different characteristics are manufactured
When a product has to be assembled particularly for a sales order
Stockkeeping is not usually carried out for products that are made to order. In companies using make-to-order production, the demand program only determines the production area, in which various variant types are produced. Depending on how you track the costs associated with make-to-order production, there are two ways to process make-to-order items during sales order

  • Make multiclips from sequence? (not in browser)

I'm not really up to speed with multiclips, but I have at least discovered that the approved way of making them (selecting clips in the browser) is not working for me (both technically and creatively).
What I'd REALLY like to do is start my edit normally, with four layers of video in a normal sequence, make some edits, then find some way to see all four tracks at once in the Viewer - so I can select camera Angles, Multiclip style.
Does anyone know any way of doing this?
    Thanks
    Tom

    absolutely ... use different software
seriously tho, this is simply not FCP's implementation of multi-camera editing.
if you're really desperate, you'll find Canopus Edius's multicam implementation works the way you want
    cheers

  • Possible to do make Batch Sequence Searchable by date?

I want to know if it is possible to edit/create new script to Edit Batch Sequence - Searchable, recognize text Using OCR, but to only do it for a date range? How would I go about doing this.
Right now it takes multiple screens and clicks to make documents searchable, I would like to create a script that tells you the last time you did a batch searchable request, allows you to select a date range, folder would ideally be built in - so I do not have to select it everytime and then on selection of date range, it runs and completes the request. Is this possible? Where do I start?
    Thanks,
    haleygurl86

Date of what? Do you mean the file's creation date?
If so, that's not possible. You can access the file's creation date in a script, but a script can't OCR a file.
The best way would be to create an input folder and paste into it the files you want to OCR.

  • Multiclip Sequence & Render Manager

    I have a 15-minute NTSC/48 Khz
    Sequence of MiniDV footage
and i'm simply trying to add a final
6 second logo which is in the Animation codec
When I try to turn the clip into a Multiclip seq
I have to copy and paste the entire 15 min. sequence
within and when I try and re-render everything my
Render Manager runs out of space & even when I delete
everything in Render Man., it still tells me it doesn't have space
Is their easier workaround to this? As in only re-rendering
parts of sequence instead of full 15 minutes?
    thanks

I don't think it works better on this issue, however it supplies more real time playback of mixed formats.
Since you're working in DV, try raising or lowering the clip a bit, might help. Works wonders with titles over DV. Just a single line up or down might make a difference. You'd see it externally on a video monitor.

  • Export Setting: how to make "entire sequence" as default?

    Hi all,
One of my largest pet peeves with Premiere Pro/Adobe Media Encoder is that it defaults to the source range of "work area". I never want to do this. I want to export the full sequence always. However Premiere Pro seems to like to change the work area slider in the timeline if I move stuff around a lot, and since I've never had to worry about this in Final Cut Pro, I'm not used to always checking to see if the work area slider is the same length as my sequence. Thus there's been many a time where my videos have exported with a big chunk of black at the end of some videos.
Is there a way to make the default source range be "entire sequence" rather than "work area"?
    Thanks,
    William

Nope: Adobe Feature Request/Bug Report Form
In the meantime, zoom out full in your sequence (hit the '\' key) and double-click in the time ruler. That will set the WAB to the full duration of the sequence, so it won't matter if you're set to Work Area or Entire Sequence in the Export Settings.
For what it's worth, I've also requested that the source range be able to be saved into encoding presets; that would help this situation somewhat, as well.

  • Make multiclip from tracks full of cuts?

FCP's multiclip editing is awesome! However ...
Last year I made a multiclip setup by arranging all the shots in 5 different tracks, getting them synchronized (two of the camera operators kept turning their cameras on and off in spite of directions!) and then exporting new clips, one clip from each track, then importing those clips in a new sequence and multiclipping them. That took a lot of extra storage space. But the only way I knew how to multiclip was to select clips in the Browser and multi-clip them.
Working on another project. Got 5 cameras synchronized (several of the cameras turned on and off in spite of directions). So a lot of the tracks have lots of gaps.
Question: is there any way to multi-clip those 5 tracks, even if they have lots of gaps? Sure would love to do that.

PleuralEyes seems to sync several video/audio tracks, and that might be useful for another project.
But in this project, I already have 6 video tracks synchronized in the timeline.
Maybe I didn't explain my situation very well. Because my project is 90 minutes long, I want to do a multi-clip edit because that's much quicker. I know how to take six uncut 90-minute clips, line them up, and make a multi-clip from them. But I don't know how to make a multiclip from the 6 tracks in my timeline, when the six tracks are full of gaps in different places in the various tracks. The only way I know is to separately export each of the tracks, and create a new media file for each of the tracks (with the gaps included). That would create six new 90-minute media files. Then I would import those six new files, line them up, and multi-clip them. But that would take hours and require a lot more drive space.
I wish I could multi-clip the six track that are already synchronized in my timeline, even though those tracks are full of gaps.

  • All of a sudden I can no longer toggle or clip angles in multiclip sequence

    Hi,
I've got a project with a number of sequences, videos, angles, etc and all of a sudden I can no longer toggle between angles in the sequence timeline. It was working last night and then stopped and it's still unresponsive. Every time I click to switch an angle or cut to an angle I get the alert beep.
I am not out of disk space and haven't changed any settings as far as I am aware of.
    Thanks

Not sure what the deal is...have you added any new software or upgraded/updated anything since this started?
Have you tried opening an autosave version, to see if it works there?
    Trashed prefs, run disk utility?
I'm not sure I've ever heard an 'alert beep', so would wonder if the drive is failing.
Can you be a little more explicit about exactly how it 'stopped working'...were you right in the middle of working on it, or had you stepped away for a bit?
Have you tried shutting down, then rebooting after 15-20 minutes?

  • Question about cache of sequence

    desc table temp1
    id number(p.k)
    comp number(5)
    i have a trigger call BI_TEMP1
    Trigger Type BEFORE EACH ROW
    Triggering Event INSERT
    begin
    for c1 in (
    select TEMP1_SEQ.nextval next_val
    from dual
    ) loop
    :new.ID := c1.next_val;
    end loop;
    end;
    the sequence define as
    Min Value 1
    Max Value 999999999999999999999999999
    Increment By 1
i have program which do insert to the table of 14 rows.
after the program finished i did :
    select max(id) from temp1;
    14
when i run the program again to insert those 14 rows again the sequence start from number 21
    instead of 15
now i know that this is because of the cache tha equals 20.
my question is shall i use cache or not ?
i read about the cache option and i did not get the advantages of it
in which cases it is better to me to use cache and in which one is not?
    thanks in advance

First of all, using a sequence is no guarentee that you'll end up without gaps! Transactions can be rolled back, etc, just like coffee can be spilt on your chequebook or whatever.
A cache for the sequence values is useful because it means that Oracle can store in memory the next sequence values, meaning that you cut down on the work needed to be done. If you don't have a cache, this is what happens:
    1. Get the next value from the sequence.
    2. use the value
    3. Get the next value from the sequence.
    4. use the value
    5. Get the next value from the sequence.
    6. use the value
    etc...
However, if you have a cache of 5, this is what happens:
    1. Get the next 5 values from the sequence and store in memory.
    2. use the first value
    3. use the second value
    4. use the third value
    5. use the fourth value
    6. use the fifth value
    7. Get the next 5 values from the sequence and store in memory.
    8. use the first value
    etc...
So a cache reduces the amount of calls to the sequence. However, as soon as the memory is wiped (a database bounce, shared_pool flush, etc) then the sequence numbers are gone, and the next time you ask for the next sequence value, it has to go back the sequence.
