About milk quality in silo(storage location)

vendor had supplied different quality(fat & snf) of milk (Weighing is easy when compared to measuring volume practically). by can or tankar & milk receied at silo (storage location) the receiving flow of milk is continius & issuing flow of milk is continius(10000 ltr in 1/2 hour)upto 22 hour clint want a exact quality(fat & snf) of milk in silo (storage location) any time. how can map this sinario in sap for quality in silo

The vendor is only one or many.
That means the flow of receipt of milk is continuos. Regarding quality terms fixed with vendor?? (In case of single vendor).
If continuous suplly - what about difference in 1st receipt and 2nd receipt?? (When mixing in the same silo both receipts - mixed).
The only way client want to check quality continuously - take samples time to time and confirm the quality.

Hi Arun,
I think once you do GR form Process order (QM in GR managed), then you can use QAC2 to transfer partially the stock form one storage location to another storage location in Quality. Then you can put UD = A and post the stock to unrestricted stock and then use these stock for sales purpose.
Another approach can be like form Usage Decision QA11 screen, 'Inspection Lot - Stock tab', try posting some partial stock to some other storage location 0002 and save it. Once you so it, though the Inspection lot will still be under Quality & remaining stock will be in Q- stock, I think your manually posted stock will be in unrestricted use stock (background MvT 321 has posted this stock). You can use these unrestricted stock in new storage location for sales purpose.
Another approach can be like - first you produce goods (GR form Process order) in one storage location. Then use MB1B/MvT 311, with inspection lot origin 08, inspection type 08, and move some material to some other storage location which will create another inspection lot. Put UD = A and use unrestricted stock form new storage location.
Not sure what is your business case and which option is applicable for you. Please double check form your end too.

The enhancement MBCF0009 enables you to set a storage location. It is
    called up when a goods movement requires a storage location or the goods
    movement is entered online with inventory management transactions (that
    is, the user exit is not processed from the function module
    MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT).
All the data available is transferred (item data and header data). The
    storage location determined is returned. This may be carried out by
    setting *, for example, so that storage location determination or stock
    determination, if this is set, is run. But you can also explicitly set a
    storage location.
Example 1:
    Cost center 1 withdraws stock from storage location 0001; cost center 2
    withdraws stock from storage location 2, and so on. In the case of goods
    receipts, you can define the storage location depending on the stock
    type.
Example 2:
    Unrestricted stock in storage location 0001, stock in quality inspection
    in storage location 0002.

Could any one explain how to extend a Storage location (which is actually maintained for the Returns) to make use for the Blocked and Quality inspection stocks. Does this require any config settings.

Let me be more clear,in describing my requirement. Actually the present Storage location is maintained for only Returns. But in addition to this I require to make use of this storage location for the purpose of the maintianing Blocked Stock or QI stock.
Therfore to achieve above what are necessary steps or do i need to maintain any config settings for this.

Quality wrongly scrapped material instead moving to scrap storage location

Material is quality rejected,In QA32
Stock is wrongly issued as scrap(553) ,
It should be moved to scrap yard storage location from quality because it may be reworked,
How to reverse this action ?

If u do not want to apply sap note then just try with
Activate inspection type 05.
& reveser of 553 that is u do 554 movement with T code MB1a .
so that new lot will get generated .
Take result for same & then post it ur desir storage location.
I think it will work for u ,better u try first in devlopmnet.

Now on the BW side when Iam checking the reports storage location wise Iam getting value as 0.
Can anybody tell me where Iam wrong .

Plant A -->stoloc A stoloc B
Plant B ->storloc A storlocB
Here storloc A is same name but diff stro locs..becuase they belong to didfferent plants.....
in such case see compounding charecteritstcis is mapped in infoobjects

Some storage location have no backflush functionality and some have,that is to say, when confirming production order via co11n, some component failed to goods issue automatically since the storage location assigning to it has no backflush functionality even we had set backflush for this material in material master data, where/how to configure it?

Hi,
Better you mark the component backflushing indicator in the Routing of the material instead of the material master.
Also maintain the storage location in the material master in MRP 2 view & work scheduling as applicable.
Note, these setting will work only for future orders.
for current orders, enter the storage location in CO02 & for missing parts in COGI.

MC.9 drill down at storage location level

In mc.9 report stock against plant xxxx at storage location drilldown
I see
In total valuated stock is 0
But
at storage location 0040 I see 423.686 as valuated stock
and at storage location 5M06 I see minus 423.686 as valuated stock
Client need to have not stock at plant level.
In total I see 0
But client is bothering about valuate stock he is getting at storage location level.

For plant xxxx there is nil stock in mc.9 report. only I see sloc to sloc transfer of qty. for example sloc 0001 has qty + 100 & sloc 0002 has qty -100.
Finance is asking to user that this + - qty should not show in mc.9 and asking him to get it removed.
What should I suggest to user and finance.

Change MRP type at storage location level

Morning,
i am having trouble with PD and ND reporting. Your you are aware ND should only have balances of 0 and PD should only have balances of >0. When i run a reportto show all PD stock and exclude the positive balances, i am getting MM numbers appearing that are 0 in 1 sLoc but have a positive stock balance in another sLoc. This becomes a problem when i change the PD to ND because it changes at plant level. i only want this to be changed at the sLoc with the 0 stock balance.
I have tried MM06 to flag the MM for deletion at sLoc level however, when running the report again, the sLoc with 0 stock balance still shows.
Also, i have about 800+ that need changing so a solution to do this in a batch would also be appreciated.

Go to IMG settings 'Materials Management + Consumption-Based Planning + Planning + Define Storage Location MRP per Plant' Enter your Plant, It will show list of storage location in that Plant, then select 2 in 'MRP Indicator' field for storage location for which u want to plan seperately.

QI stock from one Storage location to other

I have a scenario where QM is implemented and Material is received in storage location "A" against purchase order through movement type 101.But for testing we need to send material to storage location"B"for testing. I want to send the material under inspection lying in storage location "A" to "B" for testing purpose. Is it possible to move stock under quality inspection , If yes through which movement tyep. Is there any process in QM which allows the stock under quality inspection to move.

E GR for purchase order or order to sales order stock
Q GR for purchase order or order to project stock.

Storage Location or Storage type

Hi Experts ,
Here is the complete scenario .....
W1 -- Warehouse1 which has Supplies and Pharma
W2 -- Warehouse 2 which has Supplies and Equipments
W3 -- Warehouse 3 has Pharma only
W1 and W3 are in one Physical structure with partition
W2 is across the road...
1. Supplies move from W2 to W1 when supplies go low in warehouse 1 (W1) this is done almost daily .
2. Supplies from W1 are moved to W2 if there is any overflow or supplies come in excess which happens few times a week.
3. We have 3 shipment points where they perform shipping and receiving each for W1,W2 and W3.
4. we have 6 staging spots for staging of international shipments on W1
 and we have about 10 staging spots in W2 ....We need to know the exat location of where the shipping pallet is located for compliance purpose (Inspection )
5. Most of the receiving is done in W1 (about 85 %) where it is inspected , arranged and then put away is done accordingly ....
 If the shipment contains only equipments or Beds then its received in W2.
6. When there is an overflow of Pharma in W1 then some of the supplies in W1 are removed and put in W2 so that they get space for Pharma storage .....
7. Warehouse 3 (W3) has high value Pharma, basically used for domestic shipments (in US) or the pharma products which dont have space in W1.
8.. Moving of Pharma products for storage from W3 to W1 happens rarely;
9. Moving from W1 to W3 happens almost daily ..cause when ever the products get over in W3 then they move it from W1.
10. Picking for international shipments takes place from W3 and W1 and are shipped from W1 in big Pallets.
11. When they receive the product in Big pallets in W1 some pharma products go to W1 and some in W3 , depending on the value .
12. Some times the domestic Shipments are in large quantity so its taken from W3 to W1 and staged for shipment in W1.
13. Domestic (within US) shipments is done through Fed Ex ....which is done daily ....
My Question is will it be wise to
OPTION 1:make these 3 warehouses into 3 storage locations...(1 plant >3storage locations>1 warehouse )or
OPTION 2: is it wise to make these 3 warehouses into 3 storage types ...... (1plant --->1 storage location --->1 warehouse -
>3 storage types -->1 section under each storage type )
Will there be any problem to define shipping point,carry physical inventory,stock transfers and work with RF devices in future if i choose option 2 
Your Advise is precious to me ....Please do let me know the pros and cons .....for options ..above ....

Hello Albert,
It's always suggested to have very simple organization structure so we can avoid extra transaction.
Now in your case, if you define three Plant/SLoc/warehouse then you are going to end up with more and more transactions at inventory level and followed by warehouse transactions.
I suggest to have one Sloc and one warehouse for this kind of organization and maintain different storage type for each physical location. This will reduce the IM level transactions. Now when moving material from one facility to another facility you can maintain one more storage type for the Transport Equipement (i.e. Cart/Forklift etc) so when you move from W1 to W2 at that time you can do bin to bin transfer.
Also you want facility for overflow in one facility so this can be achieved with allowing two storage type for putaway.
for different kind of Supplies and pharma, I am sure you will plan different material type for them so that will help to get reports for each category.

is there any transaction or report to get Stock overview plantwise/ storagelocationwise ... except MMBE it gives particular material.. i want per particular plant or storage location total materials stock.
I want stock report similar to MMBE it gives available stock per single material in a palnt but my requirement to print available stock per all materials in a given material along with storagelocation wise/batch wise and total quantity.

There's quite a lot you can do in Logistics Info Systems to report on stocks across multiple materials.
Other than that, it depends on what you really want to show - stock that's physically present (e.g. including vendor-owned consignment), stock that you own (e.g. including customer consignment or toll manufacturers' stocks); do you want to show quantities (doesn't usually make much sense for more than one material, of course, due to varying units of measure) or values, etc.
Some of these data are quite expensive to read from a runtime perspective, in particular the "special" stocks (e.g. consignment).
You also have to consider that stock you own but that's not physically present on site (e.g. customer consignment), or GR blocked stock, usually is not assigned to a storage location.
If you give me some more info about what you're actually trying to achieve, I may be able to help you better.

How to change the storage location in Lightroom 3.6.?
I use my internal hard drive NTFS of my MacBook Pro as my storage location of Lightroom 3.6. being installed in Snow Leopard now but the data of my photos get too big now. I have two fast and big external hard drives eSATA now which I want to use for my data/photos. I know how to copy the data from one hard drive to another but I don't know how to change the settings in connection with Lightroom easily. I still want to watch all fotos on my MacBook Pro but don't want to save any fotos on my internal harddrive any more. Isn't it possible to have the programm Lightroom on my internal harddrive but the data on two times on two different extermal hard drives? If I look at Lightroom - settings of catalogue - I see that the internal harddrive location is my storage location now but I my two external harddrives don't appear as folders. Why? How to change that so that the external hard drives appear in Lightroom and I can watch all my fotos immediately (sometimes using external hard drive 1 and sometimes using external hard drive 2)?
My external hard drives are in HFS+ but I use the software of Paragon so that there shouldn't be any problem to read and write the data (I use also Final Cut Express so my external hard drives are HFS+ and not NTFS).
I want to impert many data from CDs - should I copy the fotos first to my external hard drive and then import it into Lightroom or is it easier to import the data directly from the CD in Lightroom so that I don't have to name the folders two times?
I see that I have to sort the fotos from the CDs in new different folders and an used to do that in Finder of my MacBookPro. In Lightroom I don't want have to click each of hundreds of fotos to be able to put it into the right folders ... But how to import only a part of a CDs quickly into the right (newly created) folders?

I would NOT do this. I would not change the file name.
I would add keywords and other metadata to the photos to identify the content of the photos, and from that point on, I would use keywords and other metdata to search for these photos.
However, let's look at the big picture. I think there are three different methods of organizing

You can choose any one of the three methods above, the choice is yours. I am a very strong believer that for most people (and it sounds like you are one of those people), method 1 is the best method. However, not everyone agrees.
There are drawbacks to using file names to identify your photos. One big drawback is that you must type the information into each photo's name, and this is more tedious than if you wanted to assign the keyword "mountain" to the photos, you can assign the keyword to multiple photos at once. Also, if you mis-spell the information in the file name on any photo, you have just made the photo much harder to find; whereas in Lightroom, the keyword can be assigned via a mouse click (so you can't mis-spell it), or by typing the first few letters and Lightroom (auto-fill) will find the correct keyword name. So using keywords is a much simpler way to go.

It is very simple to add keywords, as I explained for this case. Create keywords "Austria", "Mountain", "Valley"; then select the desired photos, and then click on the check box next to the keyword name. It is much more complicated in my opinion to rename the photos in this manner.
There is less danger in doing this via keywords than the danger doing this via file names, because of potential mis-spellings.
If I spend a lot of time in editing photos (in Lightroom or Photoshop) I don't want that I loose those photos f.i. later if Lightroom won't be the software I use regarding the photos (in 10, 20 years?!)
Lightroom will OPTIONALLY write your keywords and other metadata to the files (or sidecar files in the case of RAW). Every photographic application I know of (and I'm sure those in the future) can read the keywords and other metadata. So if you ever want to switch to some other software, your keywords and other metadata are available. you can turn this option on via Edit->Catalog Settings->Metadata, check Automatically Write Changes to XMP.
So I have to create two folders - one with the originals and one with the edited exported photos?
No, you do not have to create two folders. You don't have to export everything, but if you do, you can put the exports wherever you want, including putting them in the same folder as the originals, with different name.
Why not edit them in Photoshop and save them in the second folder which I import later in Lightroom? Because it takes longer?

If your goal is to edit the photos in Photoshop, and then put them in folders with whatever custom name you want to give them, then what is the benefit of using Lightroom? You can do all of this WITHOUT Lightroom. You keep explaining that your intended goal is to use Photoshop and folders/file names, and this is a goal which AVOIDs all benefits of Lightroom. I can't understand what you think the benefits of using Lightroom are for you.
It is starting to sound to me like Lightroom is not the right software for you.
Some people want to see a movie on their TV and are able to watch a DVD (not all!). Flickr seems to be a solution for movies in a big size (many GBs) to share them with friends (?)
You haven't mentioned this before, and you should check the rules on Flickr regarding how long a video you can upload.

BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE - Error Storage location not supported...

Howeever, the BAPI returns me the error saying
Storage location not supported.
What is this about. Can someone give me hint

Hi Venky,
Are you creating a goods issue with reference to a reservation? If so, the documentation states that the storage location is only needed if it's not in the reservation.
The following fields may have to be populated in some cases (this is not a complete list):
Storage location (if not planned in the reservation)

For this Material Quality is active that is Insp type 04.
Here i will do LT10- I will transfer to Final Bin that is Finish Goods storage location say SL01.
After this i will go for QA32 and here I will cleare the quality and transfer to FG storage location SL02.
Now i will check the stock for the batch. but here i am observing the stock for the batch one is with stock indicator with 'Q' and one more stock without 'Q'
Now I want to delivery the material how i can delivery? here i am getting that material in two starage locations SL01 and SL02.
here which one i should consider for delivery.
Please guide.

First I will create Packing order for my End product, here batch will generate.
For this Material Quality is active that is Insp type 04.
I guess this posts the receipt into Q status in storage type 901 with dynamic bin of the packing order.
Here i will do LT10- I will transfer to Final Bin that is Finish Goods storage location say SL01.
So you move your goods while they are in Q-status.
After this i will go for QA32 and here I will cleare the quality and transfer to FG storage location SL02.
Now i will check the stock for the batch. but here i am observing the stock for the batch one is with stock indicator with 'Q' and one more stock without 'Q'
QA32 resets the Q-status at IM level.
If you have not yet changed the status in WM too, then you transfer just unrestricted use stock to your final bin, hence you have your batch in to different bins, one with with q status and one with unrestricted use status.
You have to execute LU04 to process the status transfer as well in WM. This will then clear the situation. Best is to o this before you move stocks.
Now I want to delivery the material how i can delivery? here i am getting that material in two starage locations SL01 and SL02.
here which one i should consider for delivery.
you can only consider unrestricted use stock in the bin where the material physically resides.
