About next release Mega PC (400)

Hi,
I was wondering if anybody could give some information about the release of the next Mega PC's like the nice green AMD version (Mega 400?). Seen some articles about it on the Net but no official info from MSI.
Also like to find out what the major differences are compared to the current Mega PC. I know faster memory support is one of them, but is there more? Like support for XP-MCE?

Solaris express/ sxde are on a 3 month release cycle. The last release
was sx 5/07, so any day now.
In theory, I believe that solaris 10 was supposed to be on a 6 monthly release cycle.
The last release was 11/06, so its slipped a little.
I believe the next release of S10 will be S10 8/07.
The releases often make it to the public in the month after their notional release date.
So I would expect them both sometime in the next month or so.

I just checked my BIOS and my current setting is set at IDE although it also mentions that the default should be AHCI. Currently I have a dual boot of Windows 7 (need it for Tax software) and Arch
So I guess, when I get the new HDD, I will first set it to AHCI and then install the OSes on it. See if NCQ helps any, and if not I will turn it back and re-install (if I have to). I am planning to have Windows only in virtualbox in the new drive.
Anyhoo, while I was in the BIOS I found two things which I had questions about :
1) Under Onboard Devices --> Integrated NIC , my setting is currently set at "On w/PXE" and it says the default should be just "On". Would it be ok to change it back to On since its a single machine and its not booting an OS on any server. I just don't want to have to re-install anything now since I will be doing that in the new HDD.
2) How would I know whether my BIOS would support a 64 bit OS in Virtualbox? I checked some setting under Virtualization, but they weren't very clear.
I will edit this post and let you know exactly what settings were present under the Virtualization sub-section.

I read that another user would like to be able to alphabetize their bookshelves and I could not agree more. But I have one other request.
When you load a book you don't have the option of changing the title or the author. No complaints about that - EXCEPT - not all publishers follow the same format of last name first, first name last. Even from the same publisher a different format could be used.
I end up with books by the same author that I cannot get sorted into the same general area in my library unless I make bookshelves.
Bookshelves don't alphabethize. So, it can end up being a mess.
Furthermore, titles don't take into account that a certain book is from a specific series. So, it is difficult (if not impossisble) to arrange things in a way that is meaningful, even if the author name is formatted identically.
Can you add allow me to add and hide columns in the library? I would want to be able to add my own data in these fields. This way I can sort by author, series or some other key word that is relevant.
Another option would be to allow for sub folders within the bookshleves. That would be great too.
Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the feedback. Making the Library better in general is certainly one of things I am looking forward to working on in the next release.

Next release DPS and CS6 launch

Hi,
Will be the next release DPS - 2.0 launchs just together with InDesign CS6?
Because in presention about V19 the next features has Alternate Layout, between other great features

CS6 is coming soon but that’s all we know. In fact, if you buy CS5.5 now you’ll get CS6 for free.
That said, there will be no discussion of CS6 until an official announcement has been made.

What bugs is Apple working on for the next release of Lion?

I'd like to know what bugs Apple thinks are serious enough to be fixed in the next release/couple of releases.

Note that if you wait until people here stop talking about bugs in the system, you'll be waiting a very, very long time. Every time there has been an OS update or upgrade of any kind, there are messages on these forums that claim it's buggy and has destroyed their system. Don't make your decisions based on that... you can't rely on reports from people who don't understand their problems yet seem to know for sure what the cause is.
Lion is quite smooth here. But by all means wait a little longer, if you like. When you make the plunge, if you have trouble, there are people here who will help you.

and we do not have a firm date as yet.
We are expecting production to be roughly
mid 2001 with a Beta available a few
months beforehand.

Next release of InTune

has anyone heard anything about the feature set for the next release or wave? I am hoping for server OS support - but also easier software deployment would be nice.

I'm hoping for Mac OS support, Server OS support (Intune's missing link for your average small business), direct management of Android, some Powershell functionality and some better reporting.
I would love Microsoft to be more transparent with their roadmap and future intentions for the product. I think it has massive potential as a BYOD management tool, but having more visibility about what Microsoft are working towards would be
a huge help in deciding whether to wait or evaluate competing products.
At the moment it feels like I'm sat there waiting for some big reveal that may never come. Ultimately if I am selling Microsoft solutions, my roadmap is bound to Microsoft's, and when my customers want to know about future direction, I need to
be able to give them answers. I'm not saying I need fine detail about x y z by a definitive date, but knowing the things that Microsoft is moving towards gives re-assurance to both me and my clients.
An example - one of my clients has a mix of corporate and personal devices. Their IT estate had grown organically and was an unmanaged mess. The Windows devices - sorted no problem with Intune. The personal Mac devices I don't
know what to do with. I don't know if to wait and hope for Mac support in the next release, or advise them to buy corporately owned Windows devices for those remote workers, or look for another solution, or leave the Macs unmanaged and
go against the access policies I'm trying to help them put in in the first place! SCCM is not an option - they are far too small for that so Mac support in the next release would be a massive win for me, but I just don't know if or when
it is coming and some clarity from Microsoft helps me, and ultimately our customers.

Well to manage my customers I use a control panel which lets them install php applications and etc.
The initial setup can be replaced to setup the Virtual servers for Sun Webserver, but alsmost every php script seems to target apache.
For example, Wordpress comes with it's own .httaccess file which will set the rewrite configuration for "pretty" URL's

I know that you can pretty much accomplish the same things in Sun Webserver, but I would have to manually change this configuration for every user

Wish list for the next release

Some things I would love to see in the next release of Xcelsius:
- Making the software more stabile/robust!
- Being able to switch an existing chart from Line chart to bar chart etc., without having to manually create the object from scratch again (in Webi one can easily change the visualization of an existing chart for example bar chart to a line chart at a click of a button).
- Providing more markers for the graphs
- Being able to create layers of objects, which would be useful if you have objects overlaying each other using dynamic visibility.
- A horizontal bar chart uses the underlying data sorted from bottom to top, this is counterintuitive.
- If one is using multible tabs on the dashboard having a navigation bar for all the tabs (similar to Powerpoint for the different slides)
- Being able to select/mark various data points on the dashboard and group them for further analysis (see Tableau saoftware)
- Being able to easily create small multiples (for example create the same chart type for each product category, the individual charts displaying revenue by month)

So far, the only thing I have on my wishlist is to be able to turn iterations on in the Excel file that is uploaded. I haven't even been able to use the program yet because the files I need Xcelsius to work with all contain circular references which require iterations. Instead, they just crash the program since iterations always get turned off when a worsheets up uploaded.

What is the next release date for the C++ Parser??
The bug in 2.0.3.0.0 regarding broken DOS filenames is preventing us from shipping a build to Apps that is required next week.
Otherwise what is the most recent C++ build that offers:
a) A fix for entity reference parsing(&apos,&quot)correctly.
b) DOS filename compatibility(i.e c:\cleo.xml).

New feature to the next release

I hope this could be added to the next release because will be the cherry on the top of the cake, add the possibility to let us change the sentences on the menu, you know the "Add to dictionary" be writing on the language of the user? I guess this could be done with some setters no?
