About Nokia products

Hi All
I am a Nokia mobile user for last 1.8 years.  I have some questions to Nokia company. I don't know to whom i can tell those.
Have u people ever think why nokia mobile is now in out of demand.?
As u know in India you people sold out lakhs of mobiles for last few years and for the last two years you peoples market get reduced.
Its not only because of other products but also the feedbacks from your products. Your services for a product, warranty period, approach towards existing customers all making you down and down every day.
Let me tell you some things that i have faced from Nokia .
I have a Nokia C 6-00 with me. As a smart phone its some what good. Here i know lot of products available as far better than C6. Anyways its somewhat a good product. Touch and Type, 5 MP camera, 3g, WiFi also the look and feel.
As you know Nokia giving only one year warranty for products. If you forgot to upgrade your warranty after one year there is no way to upgrade it ( An Information from Nokia Care)
Last week my phone display get corrupted. Means not viewing the screen. Initially when i slide the phone, then after 2-3 days  the phone screen get dead. (I can attend calls by guessing the buttons on screen )
When i go to one nokia care they inform me Issue of slider. You have to pay 2500 + service charge of 400+
They told me that they will provide only 15 days service warranty. :'( .
In another nokia care they offered me 30 days service warranty  (What to say)
I have asked them if the same problem occur after 30 days what i can do .. Answer.. Nothing.. Just pay the same amount and replace it.
I don't have any option to renew my warranty, and only getting 15 to 30 days warranty for a servicing of 30 % of the cost of the product.
How you people can win this market.?  Atleast you can provide a 6 months warranty for service more than 25 % of current cost.  This is what to say. Unbelievable.
How a customer can reefer others to buy a nokia product.? Please you people think about it.
Customer satisfaction is the main thing . You people have to take care of the customers because we have already paid for you.
I don't think my words will change the world.. But have to tell this to world.
Thanks

    about NOKIA N80
    it is writen in the technical support for this product that:
    - it has a memory card miniSD 128MB expandable memory.
    is there any way to make this memory 512MB OR even 1GB to store more pictures , music , files ... etc ?
    - in NOKIA 6270 there is a 3D effect for voice of the phone to listen to music in a loud voice . do this feature exist in NOKIA N80 ?

    there is no date because no date has been announced. no manufacturer ever gives a release date for anything, just a release period. go ask at your nearest phones4u or something - they will give you any date you want lol!

  • My thread is gone! Is it undesired to post bugs about Oracle Products here?

    A few days ago i posted a thread here about a bog in ODP.NET Driver 10.2.0.2.10 Beta
    Now this thread seems deleted.
    Is it undesired to post bugs about Oracle Products here?

    Thank you Mark for the info.
    The practise to delete posts without any comments casts a damning light on Oracle and can gives the impression that oracle the way of repairing bus is to hide them.
    For a cutomers like me that invets time to analyze issues in oracle software and invets time again to post them here to help Oracle it is very disappointing to see that my posts are delete without comments.
    Oracle should think about that mistreating their customers is not a fine way. This is unsuitable for giving custumers the feeling that Oracle is intrested in their problems.
    The right way would be to delete the content of a post intead of the complete thread and give a small comment why it has ben removed.
    Sorry for this harsh post, but in the last monts i am more and more disappointed about the faultiness of Oracle products, the slowness of Oracle Support and the false promises regarding to meeting deatlines.
    I have the feeling to be on a sinking ship with Oracle.
    This Forum here is sometime a ray of hope but the rest of Oracle...

  • Need explanation about adobe products for developers

    I need explanation about what products I need to use for developing dynamic adobe PDF forms..
    Currently I use only LiveCycle Designer ,but I in previous posts I found that I need to use additional products as Acrobat or Extension to designer.
    My question is if I need to devlop dynamic PDF form what exactly products I need that will be cover all developing issues?

    Hi,
    Covering all developer/developing issues is very broad.
    LC Designer is part of the LiveCycle suite. Which components you need from the suite will depend on your environment, your workflow, and how you want to process the data.
    More information here: http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/
    If you wanted to create forms and use Reader to interact with the form, then the minimum specification would be:
    LC Designer
    Adobe Reader
    However there would be restrictions in the functionality (eg you could not save the form in Reader as it would not be Reader enabled).
    If you want to Reader enabled the form in Acrobat Standard v9 or Acrobat Pro v8, then you will need Acrobat as well. This will unlock some of the features.
    If you want users with Reader to have full access to all features (as if the form was opened in Acrobat) then you will also need LC Reader Extensions ES2. You would use this to Reader enable the form before you deploy it.
    See summary here:
    Other components in the LC suite provide other functionality such as digital signatures, rights management, etc. You should talk directly with the Adobe sales rep in your geographical location.
    Good luck,
    Niall

  • Uninstall - file that stores info about installed products

    Hi,
    I want to uninstall EPM system. The problem is that Hyperion does not offer products to unistall. It shows just clean window. In cmd line i also get a lot of java errors. It says 'Premature end of file'. It seems it can not parse some file that stores the info about installed products.
    Can you please help
    lubos

    If you are deleting everything manually then
    Stop any hyperion related services.
    Delete all from under the Hyperion directory
    Delete from the registry :- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hyperion Solutions
    Delete file .oracle.products
    There are some environment variables but you may not to remove them all e.g. HYPERION_HOME, EAS_HOME, ESSLANG
    Drop and recreate rdbms databases.

  • Terms of use - Constructive feedback about Apple products.

    Hi,
    Just wondering if it might be worth updating the terms of use to remove the references to "Constructive feedback about Apple products" as being an welcome type of post on the forum.
    I was under the impression feedback was welcome having read the terms of use, but have just had a couple of posts removed today with the reason given that feedback should be sent elsewhere. The terms of use also describe a type of Apple employee who monitors the forum to collect feedback to pass back to the relevant group at Apple, which further gives the impression that the forum is a good place to leave feedback.
    Obviously no one wants to waste their time writing posts that get removed and Apple would like feedback in the most useful channel so it could be worth clarifying this. Perhaps the feedback link could be added to the terms also.
    Thanks.
    PS it's nice to see this part of the forum is polite and welcoming, having spent a few days reading the iPad forums, I was about to give up on the whole thing as it all seemed really unfriendly, probably due to the iOS 4.2 update, but you've restored my faith a little, perhaps I'll return a bit later when things calm down a bit!

    I was just conscious that I was about to repost the same offending post, but hopefully it's ok in this forum as this is the forum where questions about inappropriate posts go, if you see what I mean. I didn't want to annoy the moderators by them having to delete the same post for the third time.
    This is the place to discuss such things. Had your original posts been very offensive, the moderators would have probably just kicked you off and then you wouldn't even be able to discuss it here
    It isn't a matter of annoying moderators. It is about staying true to the spirit of the forums. In some cases it is one of those "I know it when I see it" subjective analyses. Apple Discussions is for user-to-user discussions of technical topics. If you are talking about how to use an Apple product, your post won't get deleted. If you are talking about Apple itself, it will probably be removed. If you are talking about some topic unrelated to Apple or Apple's products, you are on thin ice, even here in the Feedback forum. They will let it go for a while, but eventually that will get deleted or locked, even if no one complains. The bottom line is if your post is likely to help anyone. If not, then it has cause for deletion and may get removed depending on how many people feel "unhelped".
    All in all though, the reason for me starting this thread was more due to the difference, with regards to feedback, between the terms of use and the email you get when a post is removed. The email makes it very clear feedback should go elsewhere whereas the terms kind of suggest the opposite.
    I agree and I think you have a good point. It should be clarified. It may take a while though. All the Apple corporate secrecy has raison d'être. Apple is a big company and moves very slowly. They just try to keep those slow movements concealed to maintain an aura of nimbleness.

  • Three things i have noticed about NOKIA

    Nokia's best skill : disappointing their customers.
    three things i have noticed about Nokia
    1) Updates that are necessary are never on time.
    2) If you're phone has a problem their(nokia) customer service can't fix it.
    3) And they still believe their power in the tech market will never be crushed.
    looking at this many people have had their love for Nokia crushed. i for one am **bleep**. i bought my n8 for $550 if u convert RM1680 to it. dat was since october last year. and till now no proper software updates. nothing new on the phone. and we (customers) have to contend with being made fun of by people who use android and iphone because their phones can do what ours' cannot

  • General feedback about Nokia's philosophy

    I haven't found any e-mailadress for feedback from normal costumers. However, I guess it's always interesting to know the reason when a costumer decides not to buy new Nokia devices any more. I also like to publish my feedback in public so others can comment, agree or disagree.
    In the past I was always buying recent Nokia phones, I wasn't really totally satisfied but Nokia was the best for me. Even when I had my 6230i I already knew that the software is artificially loocked up. The hardware was and is actually capable to produce more then it does because of software limitations. I always thought it's a shame that phones are artificially loocked up and not like PC where you can change the operating system at no risk to brick the hardware.
    Nokia has really great success in protecting their intelecutal property (software, firmware). Other devices such as from the vendor HTC haven't had so much success in loocking up the platform (maybe it also wasn't high on their prioritiy list).
    Nokia hasn't ever really updated the software of any device (only firmware bugfixes, but not from feature pack 1 to feature pack 2 or so). If I want to have a higher software version, I have to buy a new phone, that ridiculous.
    I could say okay, Nokia has published Symbian now as Open Source. But will any old Symbian devices ever get updated? Do I actually profit from the big and active Open Source communit contributing? No. Actually Nokia only takes the cream topping for itself. It's not going to be a truly open platform.
    Other devices, already 4 years or older got recently operating system updates by a big fan community. The devices are now able to run Windows Mobile 6.5 or even Andoid 2.1. It's a shame the producer of the device hasn't provided an updated operating system itself. But Nokias even bigger shame is that their job in locking up the platform was perfect.
    Nokia must have recognized that Nokia still has a big fan community. They always find a way to hack the firmware, so they can play arround with it. I am taling about things like HelloOX and ROMPatcher. But what is Nokia doing? They always give nothing about them, patch the hole and make the firmware unhackable again. They hacked it for a reason, not for fun.
    I mean, I bought the phone. Why I am not allowed to get the maximum out of the hardware? Why Nokia is trying to limit me? Are the protected rights, the goals of it more worth then satified costumers buying a new device again?
    Nokia should rather open the platform. Include methods to protect the hardware from being bricked by bogous operating system upgrades and the ability to go always easly back to an original firmware. Just like PC, where you hardly brick anthing beside the BIOS update (which is also only a conteptual and not a technical problem).
    I am not talking about how I feel about the new free Ovi Maps, just for some devices while others have to pay.
    Yes... Nokia wants to sell more devices. Want me to buy new deices. That's why they act like they do. But whats happening that I am looking for alternatives.
    There is no vendor with a fair updating policy. None is going to tell you exactly for how long or to which version the operating system is going to be updated. There is only one truly open platform, the OpenMoko devices. To bad that it looks they haven't had too much success. But there are vendors which have more or less open platforms.
    I think at some day phones hardware will be like PC hardware. You still buy the phone preinstalled with a default operating system, but you can choose an update your operating system later anyway. The phone vendors are just slowing down the process, but not stopping.

    Hacking is not allowed for your own protection. If you do hack it, Nokia waives full responsibility. That's just it. Hack at your own risk.
    Nothing further I can say as discussion on such is not allowed here. We could discuss it on some other place, but on these boards.

  • How do you complain about Apple products being sold at WalMart?

    See pic below, taken just a few days ago. No iPhone 5S on display, No iPhone 5c. They finally removed the clear plexiglass case they used to have over the phones,  because it was so scratched up you could hardly see through it. This is totally nasty and trashy.
    Now if you go to the Samsung part of the display, it is full of the latest phones - all prominantly displayed. Notice also the Samsung poster below the Apple section!
    How can Apple let their products be displayed like this? I hope Angela Ahrendts will turn this around. I would be embarrassed to have my products displayed in this way. Also, the sales staff knew absolutely nothing about iPhones. Walmart is not helping Apple or its image.
    I don't know how to formally complain, so if there's a better way to do that, please let me know.

    Complain to the Walmart store management in person or send a complaint to Walmart corporate about the problem:

  • About cartesian product

    hello!!
    I write to you in order to ask you some information about the cartesian product of n sets. The all n sets are equivalent; everyone contain matriz nxm.
    Please help me! Can I use array of array or Set?
    How can I do it! Some reference?
    Thanks.. grazie!

    chongo,
    To begin with, it looks like your sets have binary strings as elemens, so (unless your binary strings are ever longer than 16 bits) you can use one integer to represent each element. For instance, the element 01101 is equivalent to 0000000000001101, which is 13 in base two, so it will be a 13 in the set. (All I'm saying is, you don't need to use a string representation.)
    The sets themselves are probably most easily stored as arrays of ints. This gives us a notion of order that might be useful for calculating the cartesian product, and is quick and easy to implement.
    For the product, I would not even bother calculating the whole thing at once unless you need acces to all of its elements more than a few times. If you represent your existing sets by arrays, you have constant-time random access to the elements in a definite order, so you could just write a method that returns specific elements of the Cartesian product. This will effectively give you access to elements in the Cartesian product in O(n) time. For an example of such a method (check this code before using it):
    public static int[] getCartesianElement(int[][] sets, int[] coordinates) {
        if (sets.length != coordinates.length)
            throw new IllegalArgumentException("lengths do not match");
        int[] element = new int[sets.length];
        for (int i = 0; i < sets.length; i++)
            element[i] = sets[i][coordinates];
        return element;
    }or, if you know you're using only one set in the product,
    public static int[] getCartesianElement(int[] set, int[] coordinates) {
        int[] element = new int[coordinates.length];
        for (int i = 0; i < coordintates.length; i++)
            element[i] = set[coordinates];
        return element;
    }I used the name "coordinates" for the int[] specifying which element we want because you can think of the elements of the product as occupying points in n-space, with the coordinates resulting form the handy ordering imposed by the array representation. In the second method, the number of operands is implicit in the length of coordinates.
    If you really want to generate the whole product, the code above could be easily adapted.
