About opening photoshop cs6 Beta trial in mac

Hi, I have a mac OS X processor 1.83 GhZ intel core Duo. I downloaded the adobe photoshop CS6 bea trail version. when i open the application it says you can't open the application adobe photoshop because it is not supported on this type of mac. Could anyone of you help please

Be glad to if I could, but  .. I typed a question in the Adobe CS6 forum and it gave me no way to 'POST.'   I AM logged in but 'Reply' seems to be my only access.
I had understood that I had been moved to some more appropriate place .. where?
I just went throught the whole Download process again after talking at some length with an Apple Senior adviser who are very reluctant to discuss any 3rd party apps.
He was very helpful in using all the techniques to clear up any OS problems, so ..?We checked Utilities>Disk Permissions and Disk Rpair .. all OK.  Also Safe Mode,Reset, etc.
Lightroom 4.1 and CS5.5 work  just fine.
The pop-up about the Javal app came up again and installed; then, when selecting Photoshop CS6.app it runs, and runs, and runs and eventually pops up the error Message 16.
I have made numerous  screen shots which I keep weeding out to just the most recent.

  • Photoshop cs6 beta trial stopped working.

    Hey guys,
Photoshop CS6 Trial stopped working for some reason. I didn't change anything on my computer (like the time as posted in other posts) or anything else. It just stopped working out of no where. It was working fine yesterday morning, and by yesterday afternoon it stopped letting me get in. The "Continue Trial" button just is not selectable anymore... When I installed it originally, I did sign in with my ID also, so I don't know what the issue is. Any suggestions?
    Here's a screensho (click for larger view)t:

Thanks a lot for sharing the log files. We looked at the log file and determined that the Trial is expiry for Photoshop CS6 on the users machine and so Photoshop CS6 stops working. Correspondingly the "Continue Trial" button on Adobe Application manager (AAM) becomes disabled.
Below are more detailed response for different users:
    User camcheline:
It seems from the log file that the Photoshop CS6 Trial license has been expired as on date 2012-04-18. This could be because of any prior Photoshop CS6 pre-release build installed and its Trial been consumed. Further user tried to wound back his system clock to some past time which is 2012-01-02. User later corrected the system clock to 2012-04-18 and tried again but this could not helped as Trial was actually expired. This gets confirmed from the following log statements-
    2012-04-18 10:35:56 [15749]  SLCoreService: Query license: type = 1, duration = 60 days, remaining = expired.
2012-01-02 10:34:22 [15739]  SLCoreService: Query license: type = 1, duration = 60 day, remaining = expired (clock is wound back).
    2012-04-18 10:35:56 [15749]  SLCoreService: Query license: type = 1, duration = 60 days, remaining = expired.
Note: Trial license of Photoshop CS6 pre-release build and Public Beta build shares the same Trial license (with little variation).
Once the Trail has expired there is no way to get it back. User can enter Serial Number and start using Photoshop CS6 again.
    User Jason.slack15:
Photoshop CS6 Trial license has started on date 2012-01-10 and expired on date 2012-04-09 which is fine and expected. This is confirmed from the following log statements-
    2012-01-10 11:44:00 [3292]  SLCoreService: Query license: type = 1, duration = 90 days, remaining = 90 day(s) 0 seconds.
    2012-04-09 14:09:43 [3360]  SLCoreService: Query license: type = 1, duration = 90 days, remaining = expired.
Once the Trail has expired there is no way to get it back. User can enter Serial Number and start using Photoshop CS6 again.
    Thanks and happy to help,

  • Adobe Photoshop CS6 Beta Trial Version stopped working.

I have tried uninstalling the program, I even re installed my windows. And it is a trial version and not cracked. Is there anyone that can help me fix this problem?

While I have no recollection of seeing that, I'm fairly confident I would have done so if prompted. But, just in case I missed it, is there anyway to do it within the seven year period?
I don't see a "Registration" menu item.  "Deactivate" is grayed out.
Any guidance will be most appreciated.

It seems a case of corrupt download again. Delete the downloaded content and try re-downloading from Adobe Labs.

  • Photoshop cs6 dont change direction (mac osx 10.7.3) fron character window

problem in photoshop cs6 beta middle eastern (mac osx 10.7.3)
when try change text direction from character window not working,,, only working if i changed it from menu > type > language option.
im sorry if my english not good
    thanks

Somehow I'm pretty confident that I'm understanding you a lot better than you understand my post.
I understand you are using an ME version of Photoshop, so you need to be able to write both from left to right and from right to left.  You seem to be having problems reversing direction from one of the menu items, and those problems arise when you work with very large files.
What I am telling you is that what may be precipitating those problems in large files is the very little hard drive space you have left in your one and only drive you have designated as your primary scratch disk, as evidenced by your screen shot:
Since that drive "OS X" appears to be also your boot drive, that means that the paltry 12 GB of HD space you have left on that drive will have to be shared by Photoshop's scratch disk with the swap files of the OS.  That is not enough, in my opinion.
I like to reserve a dedicated hard drive with 160 GB for Photoshop's scratch disk alone.
Hope I explained myself better this time.

  • Improper Photoshop CS6 beta uninstall prevents Photoshop CS6 release version install

I installed Photoshop CS6 beta on my Mac, OS 10.6.8. Once I purchased and went to install CS6, the installer informed me to uninstall the beta version of Photoshop, but didn't say how, or that there was a catch. I went and uninstalled Photoshop CS6 beta bny dragging it to the trash. OOPS! - now the release version won't install, and I can't find anyhting on the Adobe website other than private messages from Adobe employees to specific users with the same problem as to how to rectify the issue.
Aside from venting my frustration at a situation I (and others have found ourselves in that could have been prevented by a little better planning and installer design, I'd really appreciate help in rectifying this state of affairs. It looks from other Forum posts like there is a tool or procedure that cvan be used to make the install work. Thanks in advance -

  • Uninstalling, then re-installing the CS6 beta trial on the same Mac  

    My inquiry is really simple:
Can anybody authoritatively confirm that it is possible to uninstall the CS6 beta trial, then re-install it on the same Mac and it will continue to work as when you first installed it, before the uninstall.
That's all.  Forget about any other version of any other software being installed or not.
This was not possible with previous trial versions, as the trial would expire instantly upon uninstalling it.
I'm starting a new thread to get away from any confusion.
    Thank you.

Thank you again, Pete, and my thanks also to those who replied in my other thread.
I did in fact uninstall the CS6 beta, installed Ps 12.1 ("CS5") upgrade without having a previous version installed, updated ACR to 6.6 then successfully re-installed the CS6 beta.  Everything is working fine.

  • I can't move a layer in photoshop CS6 Beta for Mac. I just get a red border

I can't move a layer in photoshop CS6 Beta for Mac. I just get a red border around the canvas. Any Ideas?

You might want to try posting in the CS6 forum.

  • Is it necessary to remove the Photoshop CS6 Beta before installing the trial?

I installed the CS6 Design and Web Premium trial while I wait for my ordered update disk to arrive.  I have the PS CS6 Beta installed and I note that the trial installation did not install CS6 Photoshop or CS6 Bridge.  ????????????

In the future please remove beta software prior to installing released versions of the software.  Presently I would recommend you uninstall not only the Photoshop CS6 beta but also the Design and Web Premium trials as well.  Once the software has been removed, including the beta, you can then try the reinstall again.
Hopefully it will be as simple as this but if not please feel free to respond to this thread with any additional difficulties which arise.

  • FAQ: What are the known issues so far in Photoshop CS6 Beta

    APPLICATION  COEXISTENCE
Lightroom 4 Beta + Photoshop CS6 beta -- Editing the same video file simultanously in both applications may result in an error, crash, or blank (transparent) frames. You might see this Photoshop error: "Could not complete the Render Video command because of a problem with Adobe Media Encoder".
This will only be an issue with Lightroom 4 beta and Photoshop CS6 beta on the same system, editing the same video. The released versions will not have this issue.
Workaround: Upgrade to LR Release version (even if it's just the trial), or don't open the same file in both apps at the same time.
CS5 Help fails to launch after install of CS6
Workaround: Launch the stand alone "Adobe Help" application or reinstall CS5
    CROP
Crop action shows wrong crop box.Playing an action with a crop step that has dialogs turned on results in a crop box that covers the entire canvas instead of the expected area.
Workaround: Ensure that the Crop Tool is selected before running the action or disable dialogs for the action.
    FILTERS
(32bit OS only) Initial "Merge to HDR Pro" image display and result is black until settings are changed
Workaround: It will remain black until droplist in the "mode" line is selected, changed and activated, then action appears to be normal.
Bokeh color is different from preview after render at certain zoom levels on particular image patterns
    Workaround: View image at 100%
Lighting effects bump map generates artifacts if an alpha channel bump map is used. The resulting preview and final image is artifacted across the gradiated areas of the alpha channel.
Workaround: Do not use a gradiated alpha channel as a bump map
Liquify will perform the filter and save to just part of the photo if you click cancel while it is "finishing processing" a large file.
    LAYERS
If a vector layer has a center-aligned stroke combined with an inside-aligned layer style stroke, then that vector layer's stroke may not display correctly -- part of the vector layer stroke will disappear as the layer is moved around the image.
Workaround: Use the "Path Selection Tool" to move your vector around -- alternatively, Change the stroke alignment or remove underlying layers.
Dragging a selection box while layer filters are applied stops marquee selection from following cursor movement
Workaround: Even though the graphic of the selection marquee stops, the selection still happens. OR Turn off layer filtering before targeting the layers using a selection box
    TYPE
Editing text attributes in the Character panel when the layer is locked can result in a crash
Workaround: Unlock your text layer prior to attribute adjustments in the Character panel
Setting the menu type>font>preview size to "huge" after opening a saved file caused photoshop to crash
Workaround: Uncheck Background save in Photoshop CS6
Style by example or definition not working as expected:
If any attribute in the Paragraph Panel is set and you create a new Paragraph Style, the new style is based on the default and the override is not cleared.
    DRAWING AND PAINTING
Paint is offset with Grip Pen- if you select the Soft Low Density Airbrush Preset with Grip Pen paint with swicth facing right with a high tilt towards you the cursor shows the spray should be going up, but it sprays down.
    3-D
Creating a video timeline and rendering video from two 3D layers may not include ground plane reflections
Workaround: Use mesh for ground plane instead of 3D engines construct, or duplicate the file and remove the keyframes
Creating a New background texture after changing lighting presets results in crash
Workaround: Create the New background texture prior to adjusting lighting presets
Unable to create a constraint on extruded object with Pillow Inflate setting applied. Further actions may result in Photoshop instability or crash.
Photoshop may crash when trying to align/distribute constraints from selections of two 3-D extruded objects
Photoshop may not always save a texture when you paint directly onto the 3d object using Paint on Target Texture setting.
Photoshop may crash when selecting a different panel filter after the focus has been on 2 fields in the environment flyout with IBL map present
Photoshop may crash after embedding a 3D layer into a layer group, creating a new 3d object in the group, and then closing the document.
When changing the color of the lines or points in the 3D scene cross section from the Properties panel, side b color overwrites the color in side A.
Program Error when adjusting fill value in Layers panel while in Lighting Effects workspace.
Workaround:You will have to use opacity slider instead of fill slider to pull back the lighting effect
    PLUGINS
DUPLICATE PLUGINS CAUSE ISSUES ON MAC:
If you install duplicate plugins or point the additional plugins folder preferences to a duplicate set of plugins (such as, to an older version of Photoshop), then it is possible for odd Photoshop behavior, such as an inappropriate file extension to appear when saving files.
(example: while performing a "save as"  to JPEG file type, the file format appears to change to .dcm)
In this case, there may be a duplicate "file formats" plugin that's populating the Save As file types list with duplicates of the same options.
If there are duplicate file format plugins installed, the Mac OS will remove the duplicates from the list, but you may still see the odd saving behavior.
    Solution:
    Remove the duplicate plugins.
If you are not sure if you have this issue, but are seeing odd behavior, you can check for duplicates by looking through the plugins listed in the Help > System Info dialog.
    Bridge
Unable to Copy and Paste in File info in Bridge
Workaround: Typing info in Manually works, or copy and paste work in Photoshop's File Info dialog
    Install
Adobe Setup Utility may quit, or error during install. You may see error: "Exit Code: 15"
Workaround: Create a folder named 'Templates' at "<Windows drive>:\Users\<current user login id>\AppData\Roaming\Micorsoft\Windows\"
Message saying trial of PS CS6 beta expired,Content coming soon, stay tuned.
Workaround: re-launch photoshop CS6 beta. This issue should not happen anymore

    1. You can get full support for your camera by upgrading to Lightroom 4. But personally, I would wait for Lightroom 5 since it will be released shortly, probably within the next month. Lightroom 5 will work with Photoshop CS5. The only difference is that Lightroom will need to create a TIF or PSD file that contains all the changes you have made in Lightroom. That's not a big deal, in my opinion. That file has to be created at some point anyway whenever you use Photoshop.
    2. Yes, Lightroom 4 will pass images back and forth between it and Photoshop.
    3.  The upgrade would not break Lightroom 3. It would essentially work the same as it does with your current setup.
    4. If you purchase CS6 it is my understanding you will be allowed to use it indefinitely. This is not true of the Creative Cloud version. Support and updating for additional cameras will cease for CS6. Adobe has announced that they will make Camera Raw 8.1 so that it can be usable with CS6 as far as reading Lightroom adjustments. But any new controls will not be accessible.
    5. So far, Adobe has indicated that they have no plans to making Lightroom a subscription-only offering.
You are asking your questions as though you are addressing Adobe directly. This is a User-to-user forum. I don't work for nor do I speak for Adobe. I am only giving you the information as I understand it. It seems to me that upgrading to Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 5 is a "safe" choice. None of us, not even Adobe, really knows what the future will bring. Technology changes so quickly anymore that everything we are doing right now could be obsolete in a matter of a very short period of time. As Adobe changes their marketing strategies I think it will probably motivate some people to look elsewhere. I have Photoshop CS6 and I'm going to upgrade to Lightroom 5. Then I will have to wait and see what develops after that. At any rate, I have tools that I can use for the foreseeable future. If I have to change at some point then I will do so.

  • FAQ: How do I uninstall the Photoshop CS6 beta?

With the Photoshop CS6 beta coming to a close and the 60 day trial period expiring, you'll be looking to uninstall the beta software from your system.
It is recommended that you uninstall the Photoshop CS6 beta prior to installing the official release of Photoshop CS6.
Uninstallation is easy, and can be done in just a couple steps depending on your Operating System.
Important: Do not attempt to manually uninstall or remove Photoshop CS6 beta by dragging folders to the Recycle Bin (Windows) or Trash (Mac OS). Doing so can cause problems with uninstallation, and installation in the future.
If you've already tried to manually uninstall the Photoshop Cs6 beta, see the instructions at the bottom of this post for using the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool.
Instructions for uninstalling the Photoshop CS6 beta:
On all Operating Systems, ensure that Photoshop and Bridge have both been quit before uninstalling.
    Windows
Uninstall Photoshop CS6 Beta (Windows XP)
Choose Start > Control Panel > Add Or Remove Programs.
Select Photoshop CS6 from the list and click Change/Remove.
Select the items you want to remove
    Click Uninstall
Allow the uninstaller to complete then click Close
Photoshop CS6 beta should now be uninstalled in Windows XP
Uninstall Photoshop CS6 Beta (Windows 7)
Choose Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
Select Adobe Photoshop CS6 from the list and click Uninstall.
Select the items that you want to remove
    Click Uninstall
Allow the uninstaller to complete then click Close
Photoshop CS6 beta should now be uninstalled in Windows 7
    Macintosh
    Uninstall Photoshop CS6 Beta (Mac)
Navigate to your /Applications/Photoshop CS6 folder
Doubleclick on the Uninstall Adobe Photoshop CS6 uninstaller alias
Select the items that you want to remove
    Click Uninstall
Allow the uninstaller to complete then click Close
Photoshop CS6 beta should now be uninstalled from your Macintosh
    Didn't Uninstall Correctly?
If you didn't uninstall properly, you can use the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool to remove the Photoshop CS6 beta from your system: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

CS6 does not support high-DPI displays on Windows, only Retina on Mac. You have to live with it.

  • Hidden Photoshop CS6 Beta Files.

So ever sense I've owned a Mac I've been told that to simply remove any software you just have to delete it out of the Appilcations Folders. That would appear to be false, I did that with Photoshop CS6 Beta. Now that I am trying to install Photoshop CS6 Trial it keeps giving me an error that says that there is a version of CS6 on my computer already. Does anyone know how to find the hidden files or atleast the file that the installer is seeing?

Please first try running the uninstaller in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers.  Once that is done you can utilize the clean up tool by following the directions at CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.  This should remove any additional components.
In regards to uninstalling on Mac.  Many applications are able to utilize the package feature to contain all of their components.  Do to the shared components between Adobe applications and their multi-platform nature we utilize an uninstaller.  This is because we do not contain all of the files required for the application within the package for the application itself.

  • Removal of Photoshop CS6 Beta

I installed Photoshop CS6 Beta and I just removed it using the uninstaller under Applications/Utility/Adobe Installers/Adobe Photoshop uninstaller alias. I had to find it myself as the information on the Web is wrong. Obviously I am on a Mac (Lion 10.7.4), but now that it has been removed, I still have an Adobe Photoshop 6 Beta folder in Applications that was not removed. Do I just delete the folder or do I need to do something else?
I did find the Adobe Creative Cleaner Tool but I also have Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 installed.  Can I use the uninstaller tool and not damage the Elements installation?  I just want to be sure before I jump.  I do have a full, bootable backup of my installation just in case something goes wrong.
    Thank you,
    Gerry

The information here about uninstalling is correct.
And you should have just used the uninstaller alias inside the Photoshop folder.
The unistaller should not touch or affect Elements.
The beta folder name is the same as the release version (and should not have beta in the name) -- so you can just install the final version without making any additional changes.

  • Is there a way to open photoshop cs6 in 32-bit mode on a windows 7 64-bit system.

I was wondering if there is a way to open photoshop cs6 in 32-bit mode on a windows 7 64-bit system, because photoshop won't recognize the pen pressure on my graphics tablet (yiynova msp19u) I read that some users got it to work in 32-bit mode on macs, and all my other programs like zBrush, art rage, sketch book pro recognize the pen pressure on the tablet.

well I am going to assume that the application marked photoshop is the 32-bit application, since the other on is marked 64-bit and I don't see one 32-bit. in any case it still not recognizing pen pressure and i have the newest drivers. The only thing I can think of now is that wacom drivers are interfering with it some how since they don't get along, although I was pretty sure i got rid of all wacom software.
Sigh, it's starting to look like I have to format my computer

  • Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended on a Mac i5

I installed the trial version of Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended on my Mac i5 and it installed as Abobe Photoshop CS6? (the standard version) I have tried everything but haven't been able to come up with an answer.

I don't have a 3D menu, it ended up installing as the standard version of CS6.
I had a copy of CS5 Extended prior to this trial version, that has been uninstalled and I have used the cleaner to get rid of all the left overs etc in other part of the drive.
The splash screen say Photoshop CS6 without the Extended.
