  • Add HTTP Printer Model????

Hi! I'm trying to figure out how am I supposed to add a new printer model when it's not already in the list? Right now I created a new printer policy to install an http printer. The printer I'm trying to install is a Xerox WorkCentre 5755 so it's NOT already in the list of available model that we can choose. I then upload my own driver, select for which OS and if it's x86 or x64. But each time I get stuck with the "Model name". How can I update my server?????? Is there any procedure or faqs about this? This feature is useless if we can't update it!
    Any help will be helpfull!

Hi Spond! I must have missed my coffee this morning. But, even after reading the doc it's still not possible. Because I need to install a printer that uses an IP address to send the job (I need to create a TCP port in Windows ex.: IP.111.222.333.444). So it's not a local printer, it's not a SMB or HTTP printer and it's not an iPrint printer. The only option left to me was to create a bundle to send the driver to each pc and install the printer by using rundll32, regsvr32, etc. commands. Not very easy but it get the job done.
    Thanks anyway for the help!

  • Printer model for check priniting

    Hi Frineds,
i would like to know about which printer model would be suitable for check printing, provided the priniter model should be compatable with SAP
    Awaiting your reply
    Regards
    Ayush

    Hi,
Printer model is not a big deal in cheque printing...but the configuration of the printer should be same.  i.e., at the client location they might use HP LASER JET printer and in your development location you may use DOT matrix printer, but both should have same configuration.  This configuration would be set by hardware engineers or in some cases that can be done by BASIS people.
I have encountered the same problem in my earlier project.  The onsite people were using HP laser jet printer of 'X' model and in my development side i have a HP laser jet printer of 'Y' model.  but the basis people made the configuration of both printers as one and the same.  Then the printout has come replica of one another.
    thanks & regards

  • HP transfer Paper Printer Model

Hi, i would like to know which HP Printer model can print on Transfer papers for t shirt. Thanks

What operating system?  Most of the current printer drivers have removed the "Mirror Image" printing needed for printing on T-Shirt transder materials.  That said, many (most) current inkjet models are compatible with a PCL3 gui driver.  The Deskjet 6980 driver has a number of special features in the driver and is compatible with the following recent printers: Officejet 6810, 6812 or 6830Officejet  Pro 8610, 8620 or 8630Envy 5530Photosmart 5520 or 7520 There are many others as well, ask if you wonder about a particular model.

I need to know if there's any way to connect a Samsung galaxy tab 2 to a Epson artisan 835 printer model C431A, I only have the tablet and printer, NO desktop. Is there an application for this? TY

banhien, just to be clear in my mind about your response, to use the HP ePrint that came installed on my new HP computer, does the printer have to be an HP printer? Or, can it be oh, say, an Epson Artisan 835? Just curious. Thank you kindly in advance.

Help me! URGENT cannot find my printer model on hp website - how do i know which cartridge to order.

Depend on which country you are in btw, for the US this should be 61 black and 61 tricolor. For most of europe this will be 301 black and 301 tri color. So to be sure tell me from which country you are.

  • HP PhotoSmart Premium inkjet printer - model c309a will not always scan or copy

My HP PhotoSmart Premium injet printer (model C309a) will sometimes not scan a document.  When I press the "Scan" or "Copy" button, the display shows "Scanning" but nothing happens....  Otherwise, the printer seems to work fine.
This "will not scan" problem happens sporadically.  It seems to be somehow associated with having the Bluetooth function turned off.  Go figure!  (I only use wired ethernet to connect the printer to my home network.)
In any case, powering off the printer and powering it on again seems to solve the problem.  When I encounter the "will not scan" problem, the power button will not usually work - I need to pull-out the power cord in order to reset the printer.
I also note that when I have the Bluetooth function turned off, it turns itself on again after a power-off / power-on cycle.
I think the firmware in the printer may have corrupted.  Or more probably it could be that the latest HP firmware update for this printer has a bug.   However, I cannot re-install the latest version of the firmware for this printer because of another "bug" in the firmware update utility.  This firmware update utility bug is documented in another thread.

    Hi @Tony007
I understand why you may feel it is not a power issue, but from my experience I have seen the power source impact printer functions, particularly scanning. Even though it has worked previously, it still could be the surge protector. For argument sake (and I am by no means arguing with you ) I think we should connect it directly to a wall outlet for say a week and just see if the issue occurs. It is tough to troubleshoot an intermittent issue sometimes, but I am more than happy to tackle this with you.
    If you are still reluctant to move the printer to a wall outlet, we can try a few other things, but if in the end it keeps occuring I vote we at least take the power source into consideration. In the meantime, let's try the steps in the following 2 documents;
Buttons on the All-in-One Control Panel Do Not Function
'An error occurred while communicating with scanning device' or a 'There is no computer connection' ...
I am happy to do all I can to help, please let me know the outcome of your efforts. Thanks for your patience.

  • HT4356 I was gifted a new Samsung wireless printer model ML-2165W, it works with my desk top and lap top but can't get it to work with IPad.  Did I just receive a "boat anchor" printer in the eyes of Apple?

I was recently gifted a new Samsung wireless printer Model # ML-2165W and while it works fine with all my computers, I can't make it print from my IPAD.  Was I given a "boat anchor" in the eyes of Apple?

It looks like your printer isn't on the list of air print enabled printers. It'll still work, you just need to do some tweaking.
You can see if samsung has any apps to enable printing.
    or
You can look into a third party app like Print n Share or Print Central.
Then you can print from your iPad.

  • Question about "Print Size"

I am confused and puzzled about "Print Size." First I select the Zoom Tool, then I click "Print Size" in the upper bar. I also have chosen View > Rulers.
What I don't understand is that one inch in the horizontal ruler actually is considerably longer than one inch on the vertical ruler.  I think this is distorting the appearance on my photos in the monitor as compared with the actual prints. The monitor version of my portrait, for example, looks fatter than the printed version. Why is this and why isn't a horizontal inch equal to a verical inch for viewing purposes.
Thank you very much for any help on this.
    Bob

Thank you very much. I changed my monitor to its native resolution and I think this solved the problem.  Bob

  • To have a Facility of Automatic Back to Back priting in New Purchased HP Printer Model: M476nw

    Dear Sir,
By mistake we have selected and procured HP make Printer Model No.: M476nw having Serial No. CNB6G88DZ4.
Later on we come to know that the printer does not have the automatic back to back printing facility.
We required support to convert this printer for Automatic Back to Back print facility at any cost. There must be a provision to convert this model for auto back to back printing facility.
Kindly take it on top priority basis and provide us the support.
    Thanks & Rgds

    Hi,
Unfortunately no available duplexer for this printer. You can buy more things but no duplexer. I don't know why:
       https://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Printers/HP-LaserJet/CF385A?HP-Color-LaserJ...
It support manual duplex therefore you have to do manually:
       http://www8.hp.com/au/en/products/printers/product-detail.html?oid=5298878#!tab=specs
Other option: contact the shop and swap for a different printer or sell this one and buy a new one.
    Good luck.

  • Explain about the Models...

    Hi friends...
Can anybody explain about the models in webdynpro, and also explain about its types as well as its functions....
    Thanks in advance...
    GS

    Hi SatishKumar,
As WD is based on the MVC paradigm models represents the backend of the this
    architecture.
Now the Models can be categorized in 2 ways:
    1. Adaptive and Deprecated.
    2. RFC,Webservice,Bean.
Now the Adaptive models follow CMI(Common model Interface) specs.
For information on the CMI look into the documents on the SAP Netweaver Documention.
Also, the following document would give you a good idea of the same.
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04S/current/cm/index.html">CMI documentation</a>
    <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/cef4f43e-0d01-0010-db84-ede25c874115">How to use CMI</a>.
This will give you sufficient information to start with the CMI.
Now for the other classification which's pretty straight:
1.WebService Model: Is like any other webservice uses SOAP request response.
    <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/900bbf94-a7a8-2910-e298-a651b4706c1e">Adaptive Web Service Model</a>
2.RFC: Is a function module made in ABAP uses JCO for interacting internally.
    <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/11c3b051-0401-0010-fe9a-9eabd9c216de">Adaptive RFC Models</a>
3.Bean Model: Java Bean Classed should follow the Java Bean specification.
<a href="/people/anilkumar.vippagunta2/blog/2005/09/02/java-bean-model-importer-in-web-dynpro Bean Model Importer in Web Dynpro</a>
