About refurbish Zen visio

Hello~
I li've in Malaysia.
I'll buy a Zen vision m to singapore online mp3 shop
year after, Can I exchane for refurbish zen vision M in Malaysia service senter?
Because I don't go to singapore....
Please give me your answer..

Mine came with the wall charger, which is great since it charges much more quickly that way. I guess to lower the selling price they've removed it from the included contents. It supposedly still comes with a sync adapter, which accepts a 5v charger cable, but may be difficult to find one that fits just right, other than the creative one.

  • Some questions about the zen visio

Hi everyone ! Im from spain and I have just bought the player one week ago. I have just two questions. The first is if it is possible to connect the player to the computer and the wall socket at the same time (because its really slow charging by usb) and if it does not damge the player. The second question is about the rating system, I find it really interesting but I miss I can do something with it ! I mean there should be another one inside DJ mode to play songs with 5 stars 4 stars 3 stars, 4 or more stars, etc... That would be really fantastic !! And also is it possible to manage the ratings with teh creative media source organizer? I suppose that no because I didn?t find the option... Ok that's all thank you for your help, and what a great player !!

You can connect to a home stereo using a stereo miniplug (your headphone connector) to RCA adapter. these are available at any electronics store. you plug the 2 rca plugs into an auxiliary input on your receicver. to play in your car, you can use an fm transmitter. check out my post on accessories, it talks about one i didnt like and the one i replaced it with...

there is nothing special about ipods, they cant do anything that a creative player cant. in fact, some would argue that creative's do more! but connectivity to any type of stereo system is uni'versal

  • Touch pad problem on Zen Visio

I have a Creative Zen Vision: M with a broken touch pad. I already did a research on this forum about how to fix it and none that works for me. I mean, first the tap touch is fine but up/down scrolling is not working. Then up/down scrolling comes back but tap touch stops working. I'm thinking this is a hardware problem. There is any other way to fix it's By the way, my Zen already out of the warranty period.
Is there anyway to just set it as a USB without using tap touch to set it's

Why not replace the part? Instructional video link also on the page? http://www.thegadgetdr.com/Zen-Visio...hpad-black.htm

  • Questions about Creative Zen MP3 Players.....which one to b

I had a Rio Carbon 6GB and I really love it (until it died on me), and I heard that Creative Zen 8GB, Creative Zen Micro 8 GB, Creative Zen V Plus?8GB are good choices to buy? I have readed all reviews from PC World, CNET, MSN, and all three sound good, but what are main differences between them that I need take in to consideration before I buy? I also I have read that you can replace the battery in all of them....is this true? What is the battery life before it needs to be replaced and how much? Thanks

If you listen to a lot of audiobooks, then I personally recommend the Zen V Plus 2, 4 or 8 GB. It doesn't have a user replaceable battery.
The battery is is built into the player. The audiobooks and albums seem much easier to find and use than on the Zen Micro. You can find these players on the Creative Savings Center refurbished for about half the price of a new player. (The Zen Micro, you can find on eBay used The refurbished Zen V Plus Players I have received when ordering, have been brand new and work just fine. They have a 90 day parts/labor warranty. I consider the 2GB Zen V Plus to be a throw-away(when or if it breaks after the warranty) at $35.99 plus shipping.

  • Refurbished zen v plus prob

hi, just bought a refurbished zen v plus 4 gig..... and after charing, turned it on. It went straight to 'fm player' and now wont do anything.. including turn off.
    help..... please

You can try resetting it. There should be a tiny hole which you can use to reset the unit.
If that fails and if the refurbished unit comes with a limited warranty and you are within that period, you can have them fix or replace the unit for you.

  • Great Creative sale on Refurbished Zen V Plus til 8

Creative is having a sale on the refurbished Zen V plus 2 GB for $29.99(US Dollars)plus shipping until the 4th of August. Click on Store/Savings Center at the top of the page. Do not click on the Back-to School Sale link. They still have the white/green players available, at least today they were, only through the Savings Center. The white silicone cover sells at the Savings Center for $3.99 US.
I bought three Zen V Plus 2 GB for gifts and spares earlier this week. All work perfectly and none were even used. All were brand new. Only one came in a smaller size box and it actually had the european firmware(.32.0e) on it with the locked volume. I was able to replace the firmware with the US version after a few tries.

    Macqueline,
As I li've in Tucson,AZ., which is over a hundred miles from Phoenix, I don't see how it would save you any money. The gas alone would be over $45.00 US dollars.
You can only order the refurbished players from Creative in Oklahoma, as far as I know. Shipping for the refurbished player is around $5-7 dollars from Oklahoma to anywhere in the states. That won't work to anyones advantage for trying to pick up a cheap player while here on a vacation. Also, the sale is over on the 4th and their free shipping was only for the first day.
Wait for a sale in England. It would be to your advantage or just buy one now and enjoy it. The shipping isn't that expensi've.
I hope you enjoy your trip to the Southwest when you come to the US. It is beautiful here in Tucson. Phoenix is not quite as nice. Too big and too hot! Am so glad I don't li've there.

  • Questions about buying a Zen Visio

Im thinking about buying a Zen vision M but i dont want to buy it and have creative come out with a new better product like 3 months down the line because it is alot of money and i dont want that to happen, is there a new player in the works already to surpass the features of the vision M or am i pretty safe buying it, and about the screen, what are your expierences with the screen , do the movies look good? alright thanks in advance for any responses.

in regards about Creative coming out with another player, i wouldn't know but then again i wouldn't put it past them. but in terms of features, the Vision M has it all so i don't really see why they would need to come out with another one?as for the screen, it's superb, i've already watched a couple of movies on it. i will say however at certain angles, the screen is dark, but if you look at it from head on you're perfectly fine.basically if someone is sitting beside you about foot away, it will appear dark for them, but as long as they are right beside you, it's fine

  • ? about zen visio

i've been looking at the vision m and i am very intrested.
i currently own the cowon iaudio x5 and would hope that the zen vision m would be a step up.
what kind of music organization does the m use (drag and drop? or itunes like)?
can it be used as an external hard dri've?
do videos need to be converted, and if they do, is the converter bought?
    how durable is the player?
    anwsers appreciated

The Vision:M can add music both ways. The Creative Media Explorer is just like Windows Explorer and you can drag and drop media into the player with it. The other software that comes with the Vision:M, MediaSource, is more like itunes or Windows media player. You can also use Windows Media Player 0 to sync media to the Vision:M
You can use part of the player's memory as an external hard dri've. You specify a partition between 52Meg and 6Gig size. Once the partition is set, that part can ONLY be used for data, not media that is playable on the player. Of course, you can delete the partition or resize it at any time to reclaim extra space for media to be played on the Vision:M.
The Creative Media Explorer has a video converter but I haven't used it so I don't know how well it works. There are also several freeware and shareware progams out there that can convert videos. The Vision:M supports many types of video, MPEG/2/4-SP, WMV9, Motion-JPEG, compatible DivX 4,5 and XviD.
The Vision:M seems very solid & sturdy and put together well to me. I haven't dropped it yet, thank goodness, but I'm not worried about durabillity. It does seem to get scratches very easily on the face and screen though. Just put it in a case right away and that shouldn't be a problem.
I haven't seen the screen on the iaudio x5 but the one on the vision:m is fantastic. It took me several days to get used to the creative menu system because I was used to the ipod but now I like it even better than the ipod's menu system. For audio, the vision:m only supports MP3,WAV, and WMA (DRM) formats so the iaudio has it beat there.

  • About my creative zen visio

i don't know why but i can't connect my mp3 player on my laptop!!! that's really annoying, i installed the program in the computer but it doesn't want to recognize it so i can't do anything with it (i have windows XP) can someone tell me why and explain me hw to get through? Thanx a lot!

It may be that you have already tried this - but what the heck. As I recall, the instructions say that you should install the software for the ZVM first, and then, afterwards, connect your ZVM, at which time it will be recognized by your computer. If you had your ZVM connected to your computer WHEN you installed the software, that may pose a problem. I would suggest the following Do a software uninstall to remove all the original installation.2) Check your hardware installation from the Windows Control Panel to see if it shows the ZVM as an installed piece of hardware. If it does, then uninstall the hardware installation. At this point you should be clean and can start fresh. Do NOT plug in your ZVM, then load your software first. At this point, I would recommend shutting your computer down, and restarting it. After the restart, plug in your ZVM, and hopefully it will be recognized and Hardware Wizard should install it as hardware. Don't know if this will do it for you, but good luck anyway.

  • Remote for Zen Visio

I am about to spend some more money and get a remote for my Vision:M.
I am pretty sure this one is compatible with it, but I am not sure as no where does it mention that it is compatible with it.
    This one!
I remember reading that the remote from the Zen Micro was compatible with it.
Can someone confirm this before I try and get it shiped from Singapore to Australia.
(It is IMPOSIBLE to get almost any creative accesories in Australia, I even went to a shop in Syndey called BlasterWorld. They are listed as a reseller on the Creative website, but they only had a couple of old Muvos and some sound cards.)
    Thanks.
Also, has anyone in Aust. bought stuff from the Singapore store before, and was it easy to get it shipped here? Thanks.

    ssjmichael wrote:
You might want to get it from Buy.com instead if they have it in stock and in the color you want.
do they ship internationaly? I can't find any information on rates to other countries (Australia)
    Thanks

  • How do i connect an ipod lcd screen to a zen visio

My zen vision m lcd screen recently cracked and after getting the full run around and reading up on the net, I bought a 2.5" lcd ipod replacement screen for $0 off of ebay. I really don't watch much movies so the quality doesn't really matter as long as I can see my music and audiobooks. So here is the problem:
They both have 32 pin connectors that attach to the 32 contact ribbon connector, but the ipod ribbon is about half the size of the zen's.
I would like to connect the new screen and have a couple of options.
. connect the ipod screen ribbon to the zen's ribbon, then connect to the player.
    2. somehow solder the ipod connector to the motherboard directly
    3. solder the ipod connector to the casing on the motherboard
    Problems:
. I don't even know if the connectors go to the same places, therefore don't know if it will work even if I do figure out how to do so.
    2. I have no idea how to go about soldering ribbon connectors because the wires are so close together.
    3. Any solder job that I could do would probably preclude me from putting everything back into the player.
If anybody has any ideas (other than buy a new one or pay the ridiculous $20 to fix it) your help is much appreciated and will probably help a whole mess of people.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Zen Vision M VS Zen Visio

I've been in the market for a new player for a bit now and have been playing with a few. I did buy the Zune to later take it back because I wasn't happy with the conversion process. Now, I'm looking at getting the Vision M or W. I know they are pretty close to the same, but I like the size of the M for portability, but I like the screen size for the W. There is also about $00 when it's all said and done. I am looking at the 30gb as I had the 60gb Vision M and found it to be too fat.
What do you guys think? I do really like watching videos and that's one of the big reasons I'm going with the Zens. I heard that the quality of the videos on the W are less than the M because of the screen as well.

you have double posted this. Once in the correct forums, and now once in the incorrect forum. Need to keep it in the media devices section.

  • A few questions about the Zen Mi

I'm looking into the Zen Micro 5GB, and I have a few questions that I couldn't find on the sight or aren't completely sure of. Sorry if I'm just blind and didn't see them, but I figured you guys could help.
) How do you charge the battery? I'm assuming its with some sort of adapter, and if so, is it included with the player?
    2) It says Windows 98SE is compatible, so does this mean regular Windows 98 won't work at all? I'm currently using W98 but will probably be upgrading soon so it chouldn't be too much of a problem, but if W98 is supported I could order it sooner.
    3) Will it work in tandem with a cassette adapter for a car? A cassette adapter isn't on the accessories page, but will one I already own work just fine?
Those are all I can think of right now, thanks in advance for your help, and feel free to leave any comments about the player that any of you have.

the headphone jack problem is not really fixed. If you rather not have it happen to early, i would suggest you take really good care of your ZM's headphone jack. Just take good care of it. But the headphone jack problem may occur at any point, i dunno why. it is very strange, some owners are lucky that the problem will occur in 6-2 months or maybe not at all for now. There are some owners that are unlucky that the problem may occurred like 2 weeks to couople months. I am currently trying to take really good care of my ZM after all the great lessons i learned from my previous mp3 players.
the headphone jack problem isn't fix, so be cautious a bit.
