If so, then this is an example:
PARAMETERS: p_vbeln LIKE vbak-vbeln MATCHCODE OBJECT vmva.
vmva is a search help (have a look at it using se11).
You can easily create your own search helps...

It should list the organizational structure in tree view like RH_OBJID_REQUEST lists.

Great article. I also had this probelm a year ago. My problems questions are:
Is it possible to select more then one entry in the tree?
What about selecting all childrens with one click?
In my solution I inserted this tree, into a table and the table had a checkbox, row, so the user can check the required org units, (more then one) and there was a separate button, for "select all children"

Logical Database - PNPCE - Hide 'Org Structure' 'Search Help' etc buttons

We have created a report by making a z copy of RCATS_APPROVE_ACTIVITIES. In the Z version we need to hide the buttons on the titlebar of the selection screen.
Buttons are
- Org Structure
- Search Help
- Dynamic Selection
- Selection Fields.
Can you please suggest if I can do something from the code ?

Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion. However, there is no title bar method that we can modify to remove the buttons. I have created a Z report Category by copying the existing one and made the modifications.
In that we can hide/display UI elements which are displayed by Logical Database.

Information about structure SWNCAGGUSERTCODE

Hi,
does someone have some information about structure SWNCAGGUSERTCODE (workload statistics)
I'm interested in the fields tasktype and those count/dcount/ucount/bcount/ecount and scount fields. In addition: if a transaction is called, is the corresponding report counted as well? so do i have transaction with count 1 and not the report or do i have transaction count 1 and report count 1?

Organisational Unit Structure Search

Hello,
As used in transaction PPOSE and PPO1. I would like to add this structure tree search to an ABAP WD View fields. The transaction used the function module RH_OBJID_REQUEST.
Can anyone tell me how this can be done?
Alternately is there another suitable user friendly structure search help I could use in ABAP WD view?
How can I create a search help structure in ABAP WebDynpro? Have you got a example?

About:home search engine not working

When I attempt searching in about:home it fails. It seems to be a JS error since the html form appears quite valid. My aboutHome.js is here: http://pastebin.com/muSihvGt .
As can be seen below, I'm on linux 3.2.0-29-generic , 64 bit. In Aurora.

I need to have an input help for my PERNR field, right now i am using search help PREMN and calling FM F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST inorder to display the input help. But, in addition to this, i wnat the tabs "Structure search " , "Free search" to be displayed in teh input help pop up screen.
How can i achieve this?

Just write it this way
parameters:p_pernr type pa0001-pernr matchcode object PREM.
Now once you hit f4 help. The search help will be displayed with all tabs, once you choose the free search tab the respective screen will be displayed.Now if you want to return to other tabs you must choose the button in bottom of the free search screen which is in between "Green tick mark" and "Close button".

I assigned a new object type A (Work Center) in Find By area (left hand side of PPOME) of PPOME.
I configured Structure Search using table T77FSEAT. When I click on Structure Search( in PPOME) I am getting a message u201CNo Structure Existsu201D.

structure is used to creat a set of rows and calumns values.
for example,
if you palce char1 in rows and key1 and key 2 in coloums ,
if you want to reuse these you can place the selection in structures and can reuse making them as global structures.
regarding cell defination once you have two active structures i.e., one characteristic structure and key figure structure,
than you can get the "cell editor in menu bar of Query designer next "table" option.

You can use any cell that you define in a formula. If you want to reuse the value from the implicit, generic cell definition that is automatically created at the intersection of the two structural components of a query, select this cell in the Cell screen area and, using the secondary mouse button, choose New Cell Reference. A description taken from the two structural components now automatically appears in the cell. The symbol shows you that a cell reference exists for this exception cell. Now you can reference this cell. You can continue to use the implicit cell definition and do not have to manually generate this value using a new selection.
Functions of explicitly defined cells:
Select a defined cell and choose the required function from the context menu (secondary mouse button).
● Edit
● Cut
● Copy
● Paste
● Remove
● Where-Used List
Before you delete a cell, you can check for the formulas in which the defined cell is used in the where-used list.
You reach the properties of a defined cell by selecting the defined cell. In the Properties screen area you can also make changes such as:

● Hiding the cell ( if you do not want to see the values of the cell)
Help cells

For example, you can define an invoice in a help cell and use this in a real cell to calculate a duplicated invoice.
a. Using the secondary mouse button, click on the empty cell next to Help Cells to reach the context menu. From here, choose New Selection.
b.Use Drag&Drop to drag the Invoice key figure into the right-hand Details of the Selection area.
c. Enter a description.
d. Choose OK. The cell contains the description of the selection. The symbol shows you that a selection exists for this exception cell.
e. Now choose New Formula from the context menu of the required cell of the query. The new formula that is not yet defined appears in the cell.
f. Select the new formula and choose Edit from the context menu.
g. Use Drag&Drop to drag the cell you have just defined, which you can find in the Available Operands window under Cells, into the Detail View window. Click on the button twice.

How can I change the about:home search engine?

With all due respect to my esteemed colleague, I don't thing think that your problem will be solved by anything that '''''dmcritchie''''' mentioned.
I '''''think''''' that the changes that Ask.com made to the about:home Search Container are stored in the '''webappsstore.sqlite''' file in your Profile folder. And that deleting that file when Firefox is closed might solve your problem.
But first you have to figure out what you installed ''(or was installed '''for''' you by another program that you installed)'' and un-install that Ask.com garbage, which might be masquerading under a different name, like maybe "search-something". If you don't get rid of the cause, it will probably reset that preference all over again when you start your computer the next time you go to use it.
This has been driving me nuts for the last 4 months, since slightly before Firefox 4.0 was released and the first complaint about the about:home search engine being changed was posted in this forum. Short of actually installing some Ask.com garbage on my own PC and infecting it purposely, I am tearing my hair out trying to come up with a definitive answer about this problem.

Few questions about Spotlight searches in Leopard

I have a few questions about Spotlight searches in the menu bar & Finder in Leopard:
1. When doing a search in the Finder window how do I get back the grouped items view? (Docs grouped together, bookmarks grouped together etc. Same as in Tiger).
2. How do I set Spotlight searches in Finder to always default to search by 'File Name' instead of 'Contents' & in the folder I'm in rather than 'This Mac'?
3. In the Spotlight menu bar results how do I disable dictionary meaning for things I type in there?

1. Sort on 'Kind' - click the Kind header
2. If you're in a Folder and want to do a filename search, don't use spotlight, just start to type the name... So, if you're in Applications, just type iwo and you'll get your iWork...

About:home search does not function in Linux Mint 15

I installed a fresh copy of Linux Mint 15 (Cinnemon) recently. It comes pre-packaged with Firefox, but after setting the homepage back to the default (about:home), I noticed that the search bar on that page wasn't working. By that I mean the form does not submit neither by pressing Enter or clicking the "Search" button.
I've removed all add-ons, removed and reinstalled Firefox a few times, tried the Reset feature, deleted and recreated profiles, manually reset config options to default, and anything else I could think of. Nothing has helped.
Some users with a similar issue have mentioned that deleted chromeappsstore.sqlite helped, but this file is never even created for me. Additionally, localStorage["search-engine"] is undefined according to the console, yet Google is set as the defaultenginename.
Any ideas on what else to try?

The SearchReset only resets the involved prefs.<br />
If the actual search engines are missing then the extension won't help.
Current Firefox versions use the default search engine (pref: browser.search.defaultenginename) to set the search engine that is used on the about:home page.

Looking for an efficient data structur & search algorithm

Hi all
i have a list of digits (international phone network prefixes) with some hundreds to some thousends entries. An entry may be in the form
^00[1-9]{1}[0-9]{0,7}$
I.e. this might be 001, 0041, 00317545, 00317548, 00317549 and so on. Regarding the last three examples, it might even be that there is an additonal 0031754.
What i need a a data structur that allows to match these prefixes against a phonenumber.
I.e. if i have the phonennumber 001123456789 it would match the prefix 001. If i had 00317549111 it would match 00317549.
The easiest way would be to but all prefixes into an Vector or similar and loop over all entries, trying to match the phonenumber with startsWith(). But this wouldn't always result in a absolutely perfect match, since, i.e. for the phonenumber 00317549111 the check against the prefix 0031754 would return a match even if there was a more specific match with the prefix 00317549. But more than that, this simple algorithm is not very efficient.
So i am looking for a more efficient way/pattern to do this. I thought about a kind of tree structure, starting with 00 in the top level, than provding [1-9] in the second level, and [0-9] from third level on. Then on every node it would either store if there is a matching prefix on that level, or if there is a prefix starting with that digits on a lower level or if there is no prefix on that level or any lower.
I.e. when i have the phonenumber 00317549111 it would start at the top level with 00. That would be ok. On the next level it would check if there is a node for digit 3. If there is, it would go one level deeper and check if there is a node for digit 1. If yes, again it would go one level deeper to check if there is a node for digit 7. If that algorithm comes to a level where, for the request digit, it get's a prefix indicator rather than a node indicator, the algortihm would know, that a matching prefix was found and that there is no more specifig match on deeper levels.
One thing i forgot to mention - the prefixes might be read once during startup/init and there it might take some time for building up the datastructur - i don't care about that. But, when running, then the maching process should be as efficient as possible, that's the most important point for me.
What do you think about a pattern like this? Could this be efficient? Do you see other patterns, that might be easier to implement and that might be faster/need less memory?

I would really have gone for your first approach. With mperemsky5's approach you have the loop with (potential) n iterations (Let n be the length of the number) and in each iteration to compute the hash-code for the string which again takes time proportional to the strings length.
The tree approach takes time equal to the length of the prefix and is imho not more complicated.
Perhaps this way:

}The method addPrefix lets you add a prefix to the tree. The content-Object can hold a String or whatever to identify the prefix. If your data is not complete (i.e. if there are numbers for which no prefix exists) you might want to initialize the content-object of a node with a default value (e.g. "not found").
The method match lets you look up a prefix for a given number and returns the Object associated with the prefix..
The code was not tested.
