About the downgrade right from Acrobat XI version to Acrobat 9

Hi all,
As my department has found some problem on software compatibility that we need to install additional Adobe Acrobat 9 in the new Windows 7 workstation, I just want to clarify if iwe are entitled to have this downgrade right by purchasing an additional Adobe Acrobat XI license.

Hello,
CM2012 R2 RTM on Server2012 R2 RTM with SQL2012 SP1
installed SQL, WSUS and then CM.
When finished adding WSUS, there was a post installation message but I skipped it and continued to CM installation, as suggested on some blogs. WSUS in CM seems to be a real mystery... and there are multiple workarounds and suggestions.
Now my CM is ready to GO. Configured discovery, boundaries. All components appear green OK. My hand shaked when I click on post Deployment message related to WSUS in server manager. So I clicked it. And received: Post Deployment Failed. There is
a path to log file. The error:
Fatal Error: The schema version of the database is from a newer version of WSUS
than currently installed. You must either patch your WSUS server to at least
that version or drop the database. WSUS was installed with SQL DB.
What do you suggest?

1. I uninstalled WSUS, removed DB, restarted. And reinstall WSUS again. This time MS Management Console of WSUS could not be started. I did it after WSUS was added following your blog pix.
I checked c:\program files\update services, there were couple of missing directories by comparison what was in case when I installed WSUS after SQL but before CM: Tools, Shema, and another A.. something. I saw this issue on NOOB. And people copied these
directories from previous installation.
How we can explain this behavior on RTM version?
Then I uninstalled it again. And give another try... Here I found another interesting thing. Please compare your slide number 5 from your link and attached one. You can see that on Add Roles and Features Wizard page are missing items. Some
of them were found in next screen of my installation (I am using RTM server) but one API and Power shell cmdlets were not listed on final screen before start install. May be those are note important...
I reinstall again... and the MS Management Console fails again. Exactly the same thing that I saw during 2 weeks of trying to make works. Don't see what I can screw up here.
What about missing directories after reinstalling WSUS. Is that normal? And in IIS there is no WSUS.
I don't see here any difficult thing, just simple wizard... But it not works. Second CM server.
What I do wrong here to create a failure of MMC. There is any blog with examples of RTM Server 2012 and CM RTM. All stuff is 2012. So kind of guesses and no precise thing to do...
Sorry for my cry :). The only solution is to call MS and pay $250 for SUCH a trivial thing that not works.

If you still have the old computer and it is a MAC, the Lightroom 5 serial numbers are in a text file.

I am curious about the changelog option of PKGBUILD[1]. I don't remember seeing many packages (if any!) using that option.
I stumbled upon this when I viewed the feh[2] PKGBUILD[3], which has just been updated. This PKGBUILD doesn't use such option, but feh ships with a changelog file:

From the packages I currently have installed, I found that only 7 of them use the changelog option. You can quickly count yours with:

From Allan's response on #13, I had an idea: what if pacman -Qc (or similar), instead of showing the changelog pointed out in the PKGBUILD, showed us the last commit(s) from our official SVN repo? Would be relevant to open a new feature request on the bugtracker with this idea?

There are many causes for each of the errors mention. It would be best to put one issue to the forum at a time. For example, some of these issues occur then tasks are deleted from projects but a timesheet has been submitted. Depending
on the scenario, some of these issues have been fixed with the latest service pack.
Other issues are due to bad scheduling habits with the project managers and so first determining what they have done can help resolve some the issues.
_error Loading, is because something is NULL in the data and the jave is choking when it build the form. Again, these may be because of delete tasks, resources, projects or someone doing copying and pasting of rows.

PS. Train your PM to not COPY and PASTE rows in project schedules. It can be done, but it can create problems. There are over 500 fields and some have unique data and the copy paste creates havic.

Please clarify what you mean. Do you already have an iPhone? If so, and it came from the US and is (presumably) carrier locked, you're out of luck. NONE of the US carriers will unlock iPhones. There are no exceptions.
The unlocked iPhone 4S is not yet available in US Apple retail stores. All phones sold at retail in the US are currently carrier locked.

Question about the Contextual Event from task flow to portlet

Hello, experts,
I am studying the webcenter portlet and 11g Task flow. in fact i have tested on the Jdev TP4 about the portlet communication.
As we know, in 11g ADF task flow, can communicate via contextual events. My issue is if I use the bridge to convert task flows to portlets, How can I still make the contextual event communication works in portlets.. If not what is the best way to keep these converted portlets communicated? (I test it on TP4 but failed.)
Or I can not do this by task flow way, i need to rebuild my portlet in webcenter and use the portlet parameters in web center to let portlets communicate? Is there way can transfer the inter-taskflow communication to the portlets communication after they are converted to portles via bridge? Can new version 11g webcenter support this?
Seems very hard, I appreciate your web center development experts can enlight on this.

How can I access the add-ons from my earlier version of Firefox?

Firefox disappeared from my computer after a malware attack. Unfortunartely, my add-ons and extensions have also disappeared. I've tried to re-install my original Firefox 4, but without success. Firefox 9.01 has been installed and I cannot access my original Firefox 4 and m;y add-ons and extensions. Can anybody help please. in English

As far as i understand the plugins are installed in the 'plugins' directory (look for this inside the directory where you installed the Firefox). In Windows it should be something like 'C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Plugins'. If plugins are there then this directory should NOT BE empty
You can also cross check whether the plugins are there are not via Firefox itself (Tools -> Add-ons -> Plugins) See if this lists out anything or not.
Most probably what happened is that when the new version of the Firefox was installed it overwrote that 'plugins' directory and hence now is not able to find them.

A few questions about the iQuiz game from 2007.

There. I am starting off with proof this AWESOME game once existed. it was called iQuiz. Actually it still exists on my 5th gen iPod. I'm sure it would work on the Classic iPods as well, but sadly I do not think many people have them as this game is missing from the Click Wheel Games page of the iTunes store.
Why is it missing? It is a great game. It was so wonderful because not only did it have this amazing battery burning music quiz that had graphics and great sound, it also had this other aspect that allowed you to write your own quizzes.
The disappearence is an incredible mystery.
Why has no similar version shown up in the iTunes story for the iPod Touch or iPhone?
Why have they stopped selling it?
It's not like printing more copies of it cost Apple money. It's data that they used to sell and now they don't. And no one seems to be making a program for the Touch or Click Wheel that comes close to being as good.
I feel like that guy in Invasion of The Body Snatchers who knows that something is going but doesn't know exactly what it is yet.
I hope there is another person out there who remembers iQuiz from 2007 or 2008 for the 5th Gen and Classic iPods. I hope this person can tell me what has happened with this great program and how we can get a version for the iPod Touch or and get it back into the Click Wheel Games section of iTunes.

I'd like to see a comparison with say CS2. I tend think that your current software might run marginally faster. I warn you against going to CS6, as it seems to have higher computing overhead thus far, and there has been some issue with DV editors connecting to dv devices. I don't see where it could help your dv workflow very much.
But Dude.....,Pentium D, 3.60GHz? You could build a new PC funded solely by the electricity that you would save over 18 months. Combine that with savings from not upgrading to CS6 and join us all here in modern computing land. Editing HD natively (It will happen for you) without rendering previews, exporting to DVD and mp4 in minutes instead of hours. It is so worth it. Is this your work's or your church's system where its just not your choice to upgrade? Here at work we were finally able to upgrade to CS5 capable systems 2 years ago, and HD material had already become a big workflow issue with us, even though we were primarily working with DV. I also had to upgrade my home system to take on any freelance editing. You can rock with any modern i5 or i7 quad core, 12gb memory, and a gtx card. You could also get and AMD 6 or 8 core and maybe save a little $ there.
I just wouldn't ever consider upgrading the software before that rig.

HT5096 What about the permission errors from ACLs when you try this?

I followed the instructions for using Finder to copy the Backups.backupdb directory and get permission errors. Another post says to use DiskUtility restore. I guess I'll try that after wasting a day.

Hi -- we copy zip files and move them from one site to another. Prior to zipping, we have to push the permissions through on the home folders. Perhaps you should do this. Just do a get info on the folder and apply permissions to internal folders. However, this will not capture hidden folders.
If you are on a local workstation and are backing up the home, to reset the permissions (ACLs) -- just reset the password (you can even reset it to the same password).
Don't know if this info will help --
