About the failure of USB redirection on the USB 3.0 port (Clientron Corp.)

Dear All,
Below is the result of applying our Intel & AMD based models and the related drivers for testing the function of USB ports with
Remote Desktop Protocol. We have tested the RDP 7.0, RDP 8.0, and RDP 8.1.
Please help to confirm if it’s possible for Microsoft to provide the patch files or such kind of workaround method to support the USB
3.0 port function for Remote Desktop Protocol under Windows 7. Thanks.

Hi Larry Chen,
Did you install related USB 3.0 driver in Windows 7 computers? As I know, there is no built-in USB 3.0 driver in Windows 7.

  • What is the failure group in ASM  and the meaning of ASM assigns each disk

    Hi
    Please help me in understanding
what is the failure group in ASM and the meaning of "ASM assigns each disk to it's own failure group, by default"

As you may have known ASM uses mirroring and striping of files. Mirroring is storing same compies/parts of files in different disks/controllers. When creating disk group which could consist of several disks, you have to assign disks at least to separate failure groups for normal redundancy , or three failure groups for High redundancy. This means that ASM will never assign mirrode copies/pieces of files to the same failure group. So, assigning disks to different failure groups you make sure mirrored copies are not on the same physical storage. Saying with other words, failure group gives your more abstract meaning based on which you can organize your physical disks contained in disk group.
That is why for normal redundancy at least two failure groups are needed, because there are one mirrored copy of each extent(allocation unit, to be exact) and for high redundancy the requirement is at least 3 failure groups, because each allocation unit has 2 mirrored copies, which should be on different failure group, consequently.
    Hope, this explanation is helpful.

  • Process chain did not stop at the failure step but continue till the end

    Hi Gurus,
I have daily process chain which loads sem data
suddenly the process chain fails with an SEM issue and once i fix and repeat the process, the process completed and completes all processes in the chain but still the chain status is in red which doesn't allow to kick the subsequent chain.
For the same i again rerun the total local chain to get the PC status as green,
Can anyone face this issue and help me to know why we are getting this type of issue.

    Hi Naresh,
You can very well follow this practice to automate the loads. following are the steps.
    1. sa38 --> RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH.
    2. fill in following parameters.
LOGID = (LOGID of current process chain execution)
TYPE = (process type of failed step)
VARIANT = (find value from failed chain step from background)
INSTANCE = (find value from failed chain step from background)
STATE = F (to mark it finish)
    3. execute.
Please look into the below link for further details:

    Hope this Helps,

  • Redirecting to the Home Page when clicking on close button of the Item in a list

    Hi all,
I have a SPD Workflow configured in a site to show a link to the current item view form from the autogenerated mail, so that when a user clicks on the link , it gets redirected to the list item as a Viewform.aspx. on closing t hat the user will be redirected
to the list and shown the allitems.aspc view of the list. But the user now wants to redirect to the Home page of the site. I have created and deployed the SPD WF using Designer 2010 and deployed to the production. But Now I am fearing that to achieve
this requirement do I need to change the entire approach of SPD Workflow? If anyone has pointers please share with me.
    Thanks,
    K.V.N.PAVAN

No, I said to set the Source parameter of the URL to the home page.  You have to do this in order for the browser to know where to send the user upon closing or updating the item.  This is how all redirects work in SharePoint.  If you go browse
around and click on an item, you will see a Source parameter in the address bar.  The URL that comes after "&Source=" is the URL your browser will be sent to after you click "close."  This is how SharePoint remembers the context of where you
were.  If you don't provide a Source parameter, then it defaults to the list where the item lives.  That's what you're currently doing, so you need to add a Source parameter to the URL you provide in the workflow email.
    http://sitename/list/DispForm.aspx?ID=[Current item: ID]&Source=http://sitename
    Something like that.

  • HT201210 the device isn't eligible for the requested build

trying to restore the ipad to original settings and getting  "the device isn't eligible for the requested build"
I've updates OS on Mac, updated itunes, no security issues
    Any ideas?

This device is not eligible for the requested build: Also sometimes displayed as an "error 3194." If you receive this alert, update to the latest version of iTunes. Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, follow Troubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to perform unauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. First you must uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer, then edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from the hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect.  For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you do not uninstall the unauthorized modification software prior to editing the hosts file, that software may automatically modify the hosts file again on restart. Also, using an older or modified .ipsw file can cause this issue. Try moving the current .ipsw file, or try restoring in a new user to ensure that iTunes downloads a new .ipsw.

I have had Adobe XI for about two years and My harddrive just crashed. My backups were part of the failure so I can't get it back. I purchased it from a third part supplier and it was a download. I need to find out how to get it restored. I can send screen shots of all of the drive location where the drive is still good and I can see my Adobe Acrobat pro information, but the download itself is missing. NEXT STEP?

If you are talking about Reader (you did post in the Reader forum), then just download http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise. However Reader is free not purchasable. You can download a trial then install using your serial number, which if you didn’t register or write down somewhere you will be out of luck to track down.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.)" Hit the try again button repeated ly - nothing???

I decided to give Netflix a call about this problem.

It works for me. Now I have to logon everytime I go to their site though versus it had kept me already logged in before this problem.

Be prepared to lose everything on your iPhone but it should be backed up in iTunes so you can restore from your backup.

I really appreciate the fast sent solution about my failure to burn DVDs with Lion, but I am 89 years old and think I know something about computers, but don't have a clue about ZAPPing PRAM nor RESET SMC.  I also can't find any evidence of a preserved earlier OS (Snow Leopard).  I also don't know how to partition further my drive after all this time…(I used to have Parallels partitioned) but as I said I cannot find any where on the HD SN.  Is it possible that it doesn't exist anymore?  Not too technical, please, unless that is the only possible answer to this whole delemna..

  • What's the Failure Conditions about Check Datastore in a package?

I want to perform static control on Datastores, below is the steps:
To insert a Check step in a package:
    1. Open the package and go to the Diagram tab.
    2. Select the datastore to add to the package from the tree view.
    3. Drag and drop the datastore into the diagram. A datastore Step will appear.
    4. Double-Click on the step icon in the diagram. The properties panel opens.
    5. In the General tab, fill in the Name field. Select Check Datastore/Model in the Step Type.
    6. If you want to remove errors from the checked tables, check Delete ... from checked Tables.
    7. In the Options tab, set the specific KM options. (in this case CKM Oracle is defined in model)
    8. In the Advanced tab, define the processing after success/failure options (See Diagram).
    9. Click Apply to save.
If constraints on the datastore are violated , I think next step is the failure step, but in fact after the success step runs.
I can see the error record by right click the datastore control>error.
So how can lead the next step to failure step if constraints on the datastore are violated?

    Hi Saravanan Rajavel
Thanks for your proposals.I think it is one way that customize CKM to solve the problem.
But how to understand "Failure conditions" said in "Oracle Data Integrator User's Guide" as below:
    =============================================
    Failure Conditions
The table below details the conditions that lead a step to a Failure state. In other situations, the
steps ends in a Success state.
    Step Type | Failure conditions
Check Datastore, Model or Sub-Model Error in a the check process
    =============================================
Can we let the step failure if there are recoreds violate the constrains in datastore? Let the check process looks like error.

  • Report Print.VI redirects to the wrong printer if error on intended printer

I have an application that involves a Zebra barcode printer and an HP letter-sized printer, both connected via USB to an XP box running LV2011.  I need to send binary files directly to the label printer so I have it shared as LPT1 using NETUSE and I use COPY to get the file to the printer.  Works great, except for the flash as the DOS screen momentarily appears during the COPY command.  I can live with that.  Here's the problem: when I use Print Report.VI to send an HTML report to the letter-sized printer it comes out on the label printer if there is any issue with the intended printer (e.g. out of toner).  35 labels later....
1] is there any way to force the print to sit in the HP's queue instead of redirecting to the label printer? I believe the Print Report VI uses IE's default printer regardless of what you specify, so maybe it's also IE that's doing the substitution?
2] is there any way to query the HP printer's "health" before sending a job so I can avoid creating the issue in the first place? I read somewhere that Windows only knows the state of the printer at certain discrete (an not-so-informative) times.

    Hi Zwired1,
Just to make sure I fully understand the situation - I am assuming since you say you are printing to two different printers that when you are using the Print Report.vi you are using the printer name string to specify which printer you would like to print on. And if the printer that you specify is not functioning it automatically prints on the other printer, is that correct?
From looking at the code in the Print Report.vi, it looks like if you specify a printer name in the input string, if there is a problem with that printer or if that printer is unavailable, the VI should not print anything, so please let me know if that is not the behavior you are seeing.
For your question about checking the health of printers, there is a VI in the report gen toolkit called Query Available Printers. You can find it if you open up the Print Report.vi and choose the Standard Report instance, the Query Available Printers.vi is on the block diagram of that VI. It will return the list of available printers and the default printer.
    I hope that helps,

  • I'm about to chunk this thing out of the window.

I have never in my life owned a peice of apple products. I decided 2 months ago to purchase a 30gb Ipod for somewhere around $300 in order to provide me with music for my office. Well this has been the biggest waste of money in my life and I cannot get over the fact that this f**kin thing wont work. I have two computers (one at work, and one at home). My computer at home is my main linked computer, I have all my music on that machine and that is where I update my Ipod. Everything works fine there and has since the day I got it.
The machine at work I just want to listen to the music on my ipod and this f**kin crap wont work. I called Apple 2 months ago when I first got it and all of their suggestions were failures. (do they even know what they are doing?) This is what has/is happening in the order in which it happened.
    1. I reformatted my computer.
    2. I installed itunes, quicktime, and ipod updater from the disc that came with my ipod (followed every instruction)
    3. restarted the machine per the request of the install.
    4. plugged in my ipod and ran the updater.
    5. itunes launched and there was no ipod recognized, but it was in my disc management list.
    6. i had to change the drive letter... i choose I:\
    7. Itunes now recognized my ipod and displayed the songs on the ipod, only in grey and i couldnt play them...????
    8. I ejected the ipod and restarted my machine.
    9. plugged in ipod, itunes launched and showed the same thing as before - all of my music was in grey and inactive.
    10. I went to my computer, now the ipod was not there.
    11. went to disk management, and the ipod was not there.
This is the craziest f**kin thing ive ever seen and no one can give us an answer for it. It makes no sense that my machine at home it works fine (so no problem with the ipod software), yet the comp at work is not working...
ive tested, reset and diagnosed all of the usb drives on my machine, they are all fine. this computer is a workhorse and has the same exact OS with the same updates as the one at home....
    WHAT IS THE DEAL APPLE??????
I was actually thinking about purchasing a G5 to replace my home pc for my webwork.... well with mass problems like these and absolutely no help from the manufacturer.... i think ill just stick with my PC this is absolutely rediculous.... and if i call you, you want to charge me something like $30 an hour to help me when i already spent $300 on the f**kin paperweight in front of me..
    A sincerely unhappy customer
30gb IPOD VIDEO   Windows XP   THIS IS CRAP

It does pay to be nice sometimes. Apple employees do occasionally post on the boards, but I doubt that they monitor every last thread. And yes, they do charge for tech support, but it is not $30 an hour. It's $49 for one problem, or $59 for the Applecare plan. Which, to tell the truth, really isn't the worst thing to purchase for the iPod.
Now, from reading your post, it looks as though you want to listen to the music that's on your iPod through a computer with an iTunes program on it that your iPod is not linked to.
    Do this:
    Connect your iPod.
    Click Edit > Preferenes
    Click the iPod tab
Select "manually manage songs and playlists"
    Click OK
Your iTunes will say "updating iPod Do Not Disconnect" at the top
Wait for it to say iPod Update is complete
Click on your Library in the source list
Click on your iPod in the source list
Are the songs lit up now?

I had an iPod Classic 5th Gen that I upgraded from 30gb to 80gb.  The problem I'm having is that it will not sync more than about 5.4gb worth of songs.  The iPod begins to freeze mid sync and the (-69) error message haults the sync process.  The hard drive has been upgraded, it has a new logicboard (with 128mb RAM), new housing, battery, hold / headphone jack.  Basically the only original parts are the bezel, click wheel, screen, and data ribbons. Have attempted the 3Rs and have also tried to isolate potentially corrupt audio files and remove them, but this did not seem to be the primary cause.  The sync failure consistently happens at just under a 1000 songs (5.4gb) and then it starts to error (-69) any song after that.  Your advise would be enthusiastically received.

Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.
