About the top end of Metadata panel

I want to know that the different Icons on the "Dashboard" or whatever we call the top end of Metadata panel. The smallish white rectangle with a good bit of info inside and next to it a grey rectangle with more details. (See inlined image below)
I scanned a while in the help file but haven't come up with a discription of all the various icons and what they mean... I suspect it might vary by camera too so more complications.
The one thats bugging me now is incuded below; what does the the human figure mean?  And further where can I get a detailed discription of what all the different icons that might appear in that white rectangle might mean?

It's called the metadata placard.  There's a good description in the Bridge help pdf.  The position where the human figure is located contains an icon for white balance.  That white balance icon represents 'custom.'  Look in help url below and search on 'metadata placard.'

  • What would I gain in terms of defying (deferring) obsolescence by purchasing a top end 15" w/the dedicated graphics card as opposed to the top end 13"? thanks!

    I have a circa late 2007 all-black 13" MB with 2.2 GHz Intel core 2 duo, and It still works well
    thinking of the 13-inch, 2.6GHz dual vs the 15-inch: 2.3GHz quad core.. and I was hoping to repeat the 2007's longevity

    Do not spend today's money for features you will only use tomorrow. Buy the computer you need today, and when your needs change, buy the computer you need then.
    A computer has no art value. It is a commodity tool that should help you do the work you want to do right now.

  • Where do I find the original filename in metadata panels?

    I posted this question about retaining the filename but got no answers, so I'm trying again. It used to be in LR prior to Version 2 that you could select "Location" in the Metadata panel and you would see the original camera-generated filename. All my pictures in my LR database have this up until I upgraded to Version 2. Now, it's not there anymore. I want to be able to trace back to the original RAW file if the LR database copy goes corrupt (which has happened three times in 2 years). Any help would be appreciated - I can't locate any forum question/answer that addresses this.

    Method ..
    Now type in the Facebook mobile address http://m.facebook.com. Press Go To.
    You are now asked to select an access point. Select the internet access point you intend to use - if it's your mobile connection, highlight the appropriate network connection, or if you are using Wi-Fi, select the WLAN you wish to access or search for a new access point. Press Select.
    You should now be taken to the Facebook mobile log in page .
    Scroll down to highlight the Email or Phone panel. Type in your email details.
    Scroll down to highlight the Password panel. Type in your Facebook password.
    Scroll down to highlight the Log In button. Press the central navigation button to select
    You will now get the message: 'You are being redirected to another site. Continue?'. Press Yes.
    You will now be taken into your Facebook account home page, with Status updates News feed and other options to keep you busy wherever you are, whenever you want it

  • 6680 - Curious about the top openings

    Hi
    Sorry if this question has been asked before but I couldn't find any information:
    The 6680 has three 'openings' on the top edge - a thin slot about 2cm long and a couple of small square orfices. I am guessing that all three are for sound output, but I just wondered if they were actually intended for some demon plug-in device instead!
    Can someone satisfy my curiosity?
    Cheers

    No plug-in devices. Just sound output (speaker).

  • Question about the Before/After/Test metadata tags

    i think that i have read all of the appropriate sections on the wiki but i am a little unclear on how/when i need to add extra info to the Before/After/Test metadata tags.
    thus far, i have not done any unit tests that require a component to be added to the display list.  i was reading the section on how to do that and i see that all of the above mentioned tags have extra info:
    [Before( async, ui )], [After( async, ui )] and [Test( async, ui )]
    what do those do and when/why do i need to use them?
    thanks
    additionally, i am trying to run this simple example derived from what's on the wiki and it always times out.
    package HM.FO.User {
    import mx.controls.Button;
    import mx.events.FlexEvent;
    import org.flexunit.Assert;
    import org.flexunit.async.Async;
    import org.fluint.uiImpersonation.UIImpersonator;
    public class UserWindowPresenterTest {
    //protected var window:UserWindow;
    protected var button:Button;
    [Before( async, ui )] public function setUp():void {
    //this.window = new UserWindow();
    this.button = new Button();
    //Async.proceedOnEvent( this, this.window, FlexEvent.CREATION_COMPLETE, 20000 );
    Async.proceedOnEvent( this, this.button, FlexEvent.CREATION_COMPLETE, 20000 );
    //UIImpersonator.addChild( this.window );
    UIImpersonator.addChild( this.button );
    [Before( async, ui )] public function tearDown():void {
    //UIImpersonator.removeChild( this.window );
    //this.window = null;
    UIImpersonator.removeChild( this.button );
    this.button = null;
    [Test( async, ui )] public function on_user_saved_clears_password_fields():void {
    // this.window.pass_txt.text = "foo";
    // this.window.pass_confirm_text.text = "bar";
    // var presenter:UserWindowPresenter = this.window.presenter as UserWindowPresenter;
    // presenter.on_user_saved( null );
    // Assert.assertNull( this.window.pass_txt.text );
    // Assert.assertNull( this.window.pass_confirm_text.text );
    Assert.assertTrue( true );

    Okay, so the async modified is used to indicate that the asynchronous statement will be used.
    There is a bit of overhead adding async to tests, so, we don't actually instantiate the code that handles Async unless the async attribute is in the Before, After or Test. If you don't place the async in these tags [Test(async)] and attempt to use the async code. Async.whatever... you will get an error.
    Regarding the ui, attribute, the same concept was intended to apply for ui elements... in other words we wouldn't build the necessary infrastructure.. that is an optimization and right now is not in play. so you will not see different behavior with or without the ui.
    If I copy your code directly from below and paste it in my environment it passes.

  • About the top N condition in WAD web template

    Hi all experts,
    I'm facing a problem in my WAD web template. Hope you guys can give me a hand.
    In my web template, there is analysis item A and B.
    Table A are used to display top 3 customers(char) with highest purchase rate % (KF), I'm using top N condition to select top 3 customers.
    And table B is to show all customers with purchase rate, sorted from highest purchase rate to lowest (logic:- sort the KF(purchase rate) in descending order)
    The problem is when there is many customers with purchase rate = 100%(more than 20 customers), then for the 1st-3rd customers of table A and B, the selected and sorted customers results are not the same, shouldn't that they should be identical for the 1st three rows as they are trying to show customers with highest purchase rate? even though table A is using top 3 condition and table B is using descending sorting for purchase rate.
    For example:- Top 3 customers in table A and all customers in table B
    Table A
    Customer       Purchase rate
    c3                  100%
    c1                  100%
    c5                  100%
    Table B
    Customer    Purchase rate
    c2              100%
    c3              100%
    c4              100%
    c1              100%
    c5              100%
    c6              81%
    c7              58%
    In this example, table a and b have selected different customers for 1st to 3rd position, i'm trying to make them showing identically. Any suggestion?
    Perhaps you guys can give me some idea on how does the top N condition determine the TOP 3 customers if there is many customers with 100% purchase rate as in this case.
    Thanks a lot,
    Eric

    When u create conditions, you have tab called CHARACTERISTIC ASSIGNEMENT.& other is GENERAL..which is like in what way you want to create conditions i.e based on which characteristic or whole characteristic in rows etc...you try choosing those option in that tab, so that you can find some ideas..

  • On my work pc only, I cannot click on links in the upper part of the screen while using firefox. This "dead area" affects only about the top 20% of the page, while below that I can click on all links.

    This does not happen on my laptop computer or on any other program my work computer runs.

    That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar or the Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

    that was it I somehow figured it out right after I posted the question up here all I did was right click on the gray part of the tool bar and unchecked yahoo so it wouldn't show up thanks for the help.

  • Keep rotate image on the top left of my panel.

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how to rotate an image but keep the image to the left upper corner of the panel? I am using affineTransform to perform rotation.
    Thanks.

    What's the problem exactly, does the image move from it's location? Does it not redraw properly? Please be more specific.
    Cheers.

  • Buying a new MBP Retina, is the top end Haswell i7 worth the extra $200?

    Spec'ing out a brand new 15" MBP… I'm upgrading from my 2008 Core 2 Duo model with 6GB RAM. The question is, specifically:
    As a graphic designer who uses Adobe Creative Cloud pretty extensively (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), will the extra $200 for any extra 300mhz of processor be worth the added cost?
    Already the machine is pretty beefy, just wondering what the community thinks.
    Hollah.

    not in my opinion.

  • How much longer for "Solution found for question: links at the top of the page do not work, neither does arrow to move up"

    All the links and scroll commands in about the top 1 inch of the active window do not respond. Go below this 1 inch boundary and all the links and scroll commands work.
    When is this going to be fixed?

  • What are all the locations where lightroom metadata is written?

    Hi, I have a question about the location of any metadata (IPTC, keywords, etc.) written in Lightroom 5 to my raw files. I understand that this data is written (embedded) into jpg files but as a .xmp file next to the raw files. My question is, if I purge the jpgs and do NOT continuously copy the updated .xmp files to my backup drives, and if I were to lose my Lightroom catalog, will all my Lightroom metadata that I added be lost? Or, does Lightroom keep all my metadata in the catalog file? Is the Lightroom catalog the "source" location of the data that's added to the jpgs and .xmp file?
    Thanks for any help explaining this arrangement to me!
    DLMST

    By default, your metadata is NOT written to the JPG or RAW sidecar XMP files.
    By default, all metadata is written to the Lightroom catalog. Furthermore, there is no way to turn this off, your metadata always is stored in the Lightroom catalog. Thus, if you are concerned about making backups, and restoring from backups, you need to backup/restore the photo files and the Lightroom catalog file. In fact, I consider making backups (on a different physical disk) of photo files and Lightroom catalog to be mandatory.
    You can optionally write SOME metadata to the JPG or sidecar XMP files, but this method never gives you a complete backup of all of your metadata. It can be valuable additional insurance.
    My question is, if I purge the jpgs
    This is not a good idea, I can't imagine why you'd want to "purge" your original photos, especially if you are concerned about restoring them at a later time

  • Using an imac. Only the top fifth of the firefox homepage appears on screen. Have removed program and reloaded but with same result

    Have been using Firefox for some time on an imac. Appproxiamtely three weeks ago, opened it and got only about the top fifth of the home page and no functionality. Have unloaded/deleted the program and reloaded it but get exactly the same appearance (which was themed so I know it is the same). Cannot delete it further, new downloads do not replace it. Unusable
