About WCC workflow publish and integration

hi Experts,
I am using wcc11.1.1.7, is there any method to export/import workflow definition from staging to prod? since in my prod env, revising workflow manually from ucm admin console is prohibited, we have to use a tool/script to import workflow definition from staging env.
Another question is if we use bpel as integrated workflow engine, can reviewer use ucm console(from "my content server"->"my workflow assignments") to check workflow info or take approve/reject action?

is there a link in BPM worklist for him/her to open doc info page in ucm console for reviewing metadata and further more checkin a new release?
This very much depends on which BPM worklist you mean. And even which product (license).
I have to admit it might look a bit confusing, but if we focus on two license SKU WebCenter Content (formerly, Enterprise Management Suite), and WebCenter Universal Content Management (formerly, just UCM) we may find that:
WCC contains a restricted license of Unified Business Process Management Suite for modeling, executing and monitoring processes that are initiated from WebCenter Content components only.
UCM contains a restricted license to BPEL Process Manager for creating workflows/processes within and between WebCenter Content, WebCenter Records, WebCenter Imaging, WebCenter Content Conversion, and WebCenter Universal Content Management only.
BPEL PM is just a back-end workflow processing engine. I think it contains some GUI OOTB, but it is mainly for administration, and all user-facing screens are created as a part of the process. If there is a standard component for a worklist I am more than certain that it is completely ignorant about UCM, but on the other hand, you should be able to write your own, which may call UCM's (web) services.
With BPM Suite it used to be the same, only quite recently, BPM Human Tasks were enhanced by an option to add a document attachment to a a workflow (see http://jvzoggel.wordpress.com/2013/01/22/using-attachment-documents-with-oracle-bpm-human-tasks/). From what I have seen so far, however, this does not seem to be related to UCM workflows. In fact, when I tried to create a 'BPM Suite' workflow and start it from BPEL Component, it didn't work (someone then explained me that my workflow did not contain something called a composite which is mandatory for the compoment).
From what I write it is also obvious that I am not exactly an expert of finesses of BPEL/BPM. Yet, I think the conclusion is that you will have to write process's front-end yourself, and then, you should be able to manipulate with metadata, create new revisions, etc. Note that it kind of makes sense, because in workflows, it might be desirable to fill-in this metadata and this step, and that metadata in that step (btw. one thing that is quite challenging in native workflows).

I am using workflow for wcc11.1.1.7, I defined a criteria workflow. created a doc for that workflow, while the doc is still in workflow(status is not released), I can search it out or see it under library dir, this is not supposed to happen, any hint on this?
Another issue is after reviewer feedback a comment with reject action, the contributor has no view for that comment, how to make contributor to see that comment after it's rejected?

Ad #1) this is strange. Are you sure that the search engine does not find a previous revision of the item? Items/revisions in 'Review' status are excluded from search, even though you may find them (on certain conditions) in the particular folder (this allows performing Reject/Approve directly from Desktop Integration Suite).
Ad #2) this is a known issue. OOTB Reject Reason appears only in the email sent to the contributor/reviewer(s) in the most recent Review/Create New or Review/Edit step.I wrote a simple component that stores is also in the database. You could then modify pages where you want to have this displayed.

Difference between BI publisher and XML Publisher(EBS)

I have created some reports in BI Publisher and integrated in dashboards.
Now can i embed the same reports in E Business suite as concurrent programs. Is BI Publisher desktop is specific to Business intellgence or can we use it for E Business suite.
If BI Publisher is same as XML Publisher. I will get both xml source and template in BIP itself. How can we integrate BIP report with concurrent program.
I am a bit confused, excuse me if i am silly.

BI Publisher is same as XML Publisher. ==>. It got renamed.
In E Business suite, we can use BI publisher.
BI Publisher desktop is just to create layout from desktop.
if you want to register a same report in E Business suite as concurrent programs,
then there are different method,
1. use datatemplate
2. use rdf
3. pl/sql
4. java
and go through the doc's..

BI Publisher and Presentation services integration

Hi,
I have configured BI publisher and done the presentation services integration also. When I try to build a query by connecting to RPD, I am able to generate a query and design the report.
But when I select BI Answers as a data source, I am not listed out the reports. When I click on browse button, it opens the popup window and dispays BI Catalog and nothing else. when I check saw log, it has authentication error.
We have enabled LDAP authentication. I have used Administrator user to configure BI publisher. I have enabled the BI Publisher security type for BI Publisher authentication.
I have used the Administrator user while executing the cryptotools utility.
The following is the error.
Odbc driver returned an error (SQLDriverConnectW).
State: 08004. Code: 10018. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: 08004] [nQSError: 10018] Access for the requested connection is refused.
[nQSError: 13024] Successful completion of init block 'LDAP Authentication' is required. (08004)
I am loogin in using administrator user and trying to use BI answers as a data source.
If anyone have any idea on this issue. Kindly help on the same.

Yes Seriously , the documentation at this link http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15586_01/fusionapps.1111/e20838/jdev.htm shows clearly there is a out-of-box region called "BI Publisher Region " to be integrated with ADF UI.
But after installing the extensions also I am not able to find that option.
I have installed "Oracle Fusion Applications Companion 11g (11.1.1.5.3) " updates as mentioned here "https://blogs.oracle.com/jdevextensions/entry/setting_up_a_fusion_applications"
After installing we see "BI ADF Components" in Technology Scope but If we open a jspx/jsff we don't see "BI Publisher" region option in component palette. Looks like there is something seriously missing.
One thing to note is I installed Jdev 11.1.1.5 downloaded from OTN and installed the updates from "http://edelivery.oracle.com" will that be a problem?
Any body from ORACLE ACE directors pls help us. We need this region looks like it has more options to save the document etc..

Does anyone know of any good OBI EE 11g and BI Publisher 11g integration training?
I am struggling to create even the simplest of Reports?
Or does anyone have 10 mins to give me a quick once over of how I can create two simple Reports?
One using OBI EE as a DataSource and one using a OBI EE Report in the Web Catalog?

--Have no support for human interaction
--Enabled with SAP XI
Workflows are:-
--Object based
--Human focused
--Intra-application
--Have no support for mapping, routing or message transformations
--Enabled with the SAP Web AS
However, most automated business processes involve a combination of the two.

By publishing this workflow, conditions and actions inside Impersonation steps will run using your credentials

In a SharePoint 2010 workflow that accesses a custom list, I am getting the following warning message before I publish the workflow to the SharePoint test server:
"By publishing this workflow, conditions, and actions inside impersonation steps will run with your credentials".
The only step in this SharePoint 2010 workflow is the impersonate step.
Thus would you tell me what I can do to have the workflow run under different credentials?

Hi,
As the warning says, any actions within Impersonation step would be carried out under your credentials if you published the workflow. If you intended to just add a Step in the workflow, then use different icon that says Step (with down arrow). Impersonation
step is used to modify the permissions on the item.
Once you have this, the workflow will be executing under the credentials of whoever starts it. Hope it helps.

Error integrating publisher and BI

Hi all!
I'm trying the 11g version of BI. We want to separate the security of Publisher and Analytics: in Publisher the users log with LDAP. This is ok, because users can log perfectly in both places. The problem is when we try to do one report in Publisher. The next error appears:
No input xdo file path is specified
And we can't, for example, create a data model from Answers because the catalog appears empty.
What's happening?? What does that error mean?

First , I created a role like 'XMLP_ADMIN'.
ThenI gave authenticated-role to the XMLP_ADMIN
When I do like this I can handle my problem.I hope this helps...

I am new in BI EE. I create a report in BI publisher and after that I want to publish that report in BI Dashboards...Here my confusion is start, I create repository to the required schema,Now I need to build report again in BI answer?? and then publish that report in Dashboard ????

Hello,
You dont need to confuse. To build the report in BI Answers Report you need to develop repository. To build the reposity you must aware of Datawarehouse modeling so you can build the repository very well. You can save those BI Answers Report. Create a new dashboard and just drag this report to your Dashboard section to run your report in the dashboard.
For BI Publisher its just a simple query reporting which not depend on any repository. You can create data source connection and build your own query or take help from BI Publisher query builder to built the query for you by selecting proper db objects and joins.

T400: Is the any way to auto switch between discrete and integrated graaphics

I would like to have discrete graphics active when docked and integrated graphics active when not docked...and make the switch automajically? Anyone know how to configure this?

Yes, CC has this covered. And, for that matter, so does CS6.
In the Project Panel
select all the clips from Camera A
right-click and select Create Multi-Camera Source Sequence
set Synchronize Point to Timecode. Here's where CS6 differs from CC: the latter has an option labeled "Create single multicam source sequence." You can learn more about that new option here: Adobe Premiere Pro Help | Multi-camera editing workflow. (Search for the name of the option.)
Adjust other multicam settings as desired, then click OK.
I'm not experienced with this single-camera usage, but one thing I found in my tests that isn't ideal to my mind is that the clips are placed on different tracks. I'll check with an expert tomorrow to see if I'm doing something wrong. Regardless, the important thing is that the gaps are preserved, and you can move the clips to the same track easily enough.

Integration Testing
An orderly progression of testing in which software elements, hardware elements or both are combined and tested until the entire system has been integrated.
Integration tests deal mainly with the testing of cross-application process chains in addition to transactions and business processes. The process models and the test cases derived from these form the basis of these tests.

The images imported to my stage turn up as blank and render every image previous to the rogue imported image as red squares that fill the perimeters of the image which then renders the publishing and scene testing features in flash useless, what can i do

I have been working on animating a scene in flash for a few weeks and recently I have encountered a problem with importing my images on to the stage where the images I import do not turn up, however the key frame that I attempted to import the image onto shows that it is occupied by an image and every frame previous to the key frame that just imported an image that does not show turns up as a red square that fills the original perimeters of the image, there is no solution to this problem any where on the forum and the adobe technical support staff will not help me find a solution to this problem what can I do to get Flash running normally again and fix this problem?????

I don't know if Flash has a memory limit of its own. The memory for your Flash file is based on the available memory on your computer.
There is a limit on the number of frames that you can have in any given timeline. I think that it's about 15000 frames, but that's a guess. Flash does all of its work at runtime, this means that no part of your animation is pre-compiled like it is in a video file. So the more objects that you have on the stage, the more work Flash has to do. It follows that the more objects that there are to animate, the more work your processor and the video card have to do.

I have a 2nd gen airport extreme (no time capsule) and 2nd gen airport expresses: is there any new additons I can make to my existing network to improve reach and integrity of signal?

I have the older airport extreme and 2 2nd gen airport expresses in a large house. Lately I have been getting complaints about internet "drop out" and weak signal (orange signal - weak network) in one (oddly enough the nearest one to my extreme). What can I do to insure network and internet integrity going forward. Do I buy a new a. extreme and convert the old one (how is also a question)? Do I buy new expresses? (and why) Do I move the original express out of room and get longer internet cable? Extreme is upstairs in a split level and must remain there because of proximity to modem and its connection to security. The "working" express is all the way on the other side of the house through 2 concrete walls and does ok - though signal is understandable week. The nearer one with the "problems" is at the foot of the stairs less than 50 feet away, behind an always closed door (not tested-belongs to teenager voicing complaints). Incidentally the other bedroom directly across from the closed door one, houses a temporary adult child at home who has no problems with their lap top (2nd gen macbook) and signal.

There is no easy answer to your question, but here are some things to think about.
The newest generation of airport extremes and expresses are dual-band devices. they transmit on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. the 2.4 GHz frequency penetrates walls better than the 5 GHz frequency which is faster in terms of data throughput. they also have improved antennas which may help your signal problems. unfortunately the only way to be sure would be trial and error you can also walk around with a laptop and monitor the signal strength to see where you have dropouts and consider repositioning your express devices to compensate .
