ABSEn automatically maps Port 5353 UDP to internal computer without asking?

I only have a single port map to an internal computer. It is something like:
Port 60000 WAN 65.123.456.789 -> Port 22 LAN 192.168.1.200
Looking at the AEBSn logs however I see something like this:
Feb 10 20:55:10 Severity:5 Binding added for udp, 65.123.456.789:5353 to 192.168.1.200:5353 with lifetime 3600
I know that Port 5353 is for Bonjour, but why would it map to an internal machine if I have not explicitly told it to do so? Or am I misunderstanding the log?

The log is not showing a port map.
The log is showing only the communication between the AEBSn to the remote computer.
Port 5353 is not mapped to the remote computer.

  • SSRS Maps - Display data that crosses international dateline without spanning half the world

    G'day,
I'm hoping someone here can help me out - I've tried a bunch of thing and can't seem to crack this one.
Basically I have a collection of position data (w.r.t. WGS84) provided by an aircraft local to my area (Auckland, New Zealand). Occasionally when the aircraft flies off to the east this position data crosses the international date line -
so Point 1 at say -36° Latitude, -179.9° Longitude,
and Point 2 at say -36° Latitude, +179.9° Longitude.
The issue I'm having is when I attempt to display this data superimposed on a map in SSRS the viewport zooms right out to show the entire southern hemisphere.
On the extreme left I have 180° Longitude, in the center of the viewport is 0° Longitude, continuing through to -180° Longitude on the extreme right. From left to right my map layer displays South America, Southern Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
Needless to say the data I was attempting to display is invisible at this scale - however I'm assuming there are some points on the extreme left and some on the extreme right (with a lot of nothing in the middle).
What I need is some trick I can apply to center the map layer projection over New Zealand so that my report doesn't freak out every time the data spans over the date line.
Any suggestions around how to achieve this with SQL Server/SSRS? Many thanks for your help :)

    Hi Moshifish,
According to your description, you want to show position data which acrossing international dataline without switching each half world. Right?
In Reporting Services, since maps is based on the Bing map background, it's not a tellurian model. So the only thing we can do is split the data into two parts along the international data line. This is the default render behavior of SSRS map.
For this kind of issue, we suggest you submit it to the Microsoft Connect at this link

  • Opening Firewall Port 5353 solves problems?!

    I found this by Google:
If you have tried to operate AirTunes with an Airport Express on a Windows XP PC with the firewall (or a third-party firewall) enabled, then you will realise you have problems.
Rather than disable the firewall, you can just open port 5353 and all will work fine.
Having said that if you have router with NAT and DHCP this acts as a hardware firewall and computers on your internal network do not need software firewalls. Though some people like them for security and to stop unauthorised (ie spyware) outgoing connections.

I thought I recognised my own writing...

  • ITunes 6, WinXP, port 5353

my iTunes insists on trying to access port 5353 every so often, no matter what I do. I've gone through the iTunes preferences three times now, disabling anything having anything to do with network traffic, and still failing. I have disabled sharing my music, accessing other people's shared music, stupid apple wlan speakers that only work with iTunes, and disabled pod casts, I couldn't care less about them. It seems the macs in my network are bombarding my machine, too, with the same annoying feature. Oh well.
How do I tell iTunes not to try to access that network port, ever, for any reason? By uninstalling it? If the options are either uninstall or blocking it permanently from my software fire wall, I rather uninstall it and find a software that does what I tell it to, and nothing else. Too bad that probably means I have to throw away my 40GB iPod, but that's life.

Yes, I saw that 5353 was used for Bonjour/music sharing. However I have uninstalled that service...iTunes keeps using it, though.
(apologies, working from potentially-unreliable memory here, filtered through a lack of basic understanding of the technology ... most of the Snoop Dogg and toonz posts i saw on this have been in threads deleted recently.)
my understanding is that all itunes versions with music sharing apart from 5.0.0.35 contained a cut-down "internal" version of the Bonjour/Rendevous technology. 5.0.1.4 reverted back to the version of the internal service used by 4.9.
so i figure that 4.9 version of the internal service (or something similar) is still going on with 6.0.x.

  • Open port 916/udp not closeable

A nmap scan from the Internet (WAN) against a Cisco RV120W shows an open port 916/udp. This port remains open even if one writes an explicit access rule for the firewall.
A quick googling shows that this port is probably used to access the firmware of the router from the outside as well as it has been involved in security problems some years ago. See http://osvdb.org/show/osvdb/34520
How can this port be closed?
    Michael

    Dear Michael,
Thank you for reaching the Small Business Support Community.
    I would first suggest you to upgrade to the latest firmware release version 1.0.4.10;
    http://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=282981372&softwareid=282487380&release=1.0.4.10
    If nmap still shows the port opened, I then suggest you to disable the remote management to determine if this is the root of the problem, then contact the Small Business Support Center to have a TAC engineer figure this out;
    https://www.cisco.com/en/US/support/tsd_cisco_small_business_support_center_contacts.html
Please do not hesitate to reach me back if there is anything I may assist you with.

  • DC making query to port 53(udp) on client machines

After some network troubleshooting with our network engineers it was noticed that the domain controllers were trying to make connections to port 53(udp) on client machines. There is nothing in DNS that would suggest there is a reason for this. Is this normal

    Thanks

    Hi,
I have been experienced if I disable the IPV6 on some DC, the port 389 will can’t be accessed, please confirm your IPV6 settings.

  • Two port bootable SATA PCIe internal Host adapter

    Hi
    My first post.
Who make a Two port bootable SATA PCIe internal Host adapter.
What I would like to do is add two Intel 80GB SSD's in the open optical bay and set them up as Raid 0 for booting and applications. Is this even possible??
    Other info:
Bay 1 scratch disk. Bay 2, 3, and 4 are set up with 3 WD RE3 in a Raid 0 for data. For booting I am using a Guardian MAXimus RAID-1 [MIRROR] External eSATA/FireWire 800.
And yes I have back up systems. LaCie 5big Network, Time Machine 2TB and a Seagate free agent. Paranoid Yes, I have lost stuff.....

Cool. Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You should like it here, for nothing else but the diversity of opinion.
In my case, if I were you, I'd get one of these, and put your two Intel's in the optical bay. Native and bootable... Eh, Voila!

  • Automatic Mapping Process

Guys, is there any way to make the automatic mapping process in OWB ?
So, we needn't have to start the mapping process manually but otherwise it would start when the source schema have a new data (in my case : a new data in a view).
    Thanks in advance,
    Davis

Based on the initial statement that this wants to be triggered when new data is discovered in a view, this - to me - implies that there is a single view and probably just one or two mappings that he want to run when the data changes, and that this new data is arriving at an indeterminate time.
You could always write a simple little pl/sql program that checks the view for new data, and when new data is found manually calls the mapping (lots of threads here on calling mappings from PL/SQL if you don't know how), and when not found exits.
You then just schedule this program to run every hour, or 15 minutes, or whatever, and let it go. When new data appears, it will be loaded through the mapping next time the schedule runs.
Just a thought on a fairly simple solution.

  • Port forwarding UDP 500 not consistent

I have a WRT400N setup to port forward UDP 500 (IKE) to a VPN device on my LAN.  It works for a few hours, and then stops forwarding.  If I reboot the WRT400N, it starts forwarding again.  Has anyone seen this behavior?
Other ports I'm forwarding, such as 443 (HTTPS) work OK all the time.

Try to re-flash the firmware on your router and see if that works.
Connect the computer with the Ethernet cable to the router.
Download the latest firmware from Linksys website and save it on your computer. Open the setup page of the router. Click on Administration tab and go to Firmware upgrade sub tab. Browse the firmware file that you have already downloaded and upgrade it on your router.
After upgrading the firmware on the router, it is recommended that you should reset the router and reconfigure it. Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait for 30 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure it.

  • Can't map ports with Airport Utility for Windows

We are currently set up with Airport Express as a wireless router with a cable modem as the gateway. When I attempt to map ports, I do the following:
    run Airport Utility
Select the Base Station, click Manual
    click Internet. click NAT.
    Click Configure Port Mappings...
    click +
At this point, a requester appears asking for my Private IP address. Here I'd expect to see a prefix, like 192.168.1 and a field for the last octet.
Instead, I see 192.168.1.2 and THEN a field. What silliness is this? All the manuals I have read omit that last octet, so you can type it in a field. .2 is the first number in the DHCP range. I'm using a fixed IP of 192.168.1.176 (outside the range.) Of course, none of the port mappings I create work. I've tried typing 176 into the field.

  • Firewall blocking mDNSResponder data port 5353 on office network

    Hi All,
Is there a way to allow mDNSResponder through the firewall???
I had a similar problem a while back and during one startup the firewall asked if I wanted to allow mDNSResponder and I said yes. But now the window does not come up. I have added itunes to the list of specific apps which also include: Safari.app, ntpd, Executor.app, LogMeIn.app, nmblookup, nmbd, krb5kdc, qmasterd, NetAuthAgent.app, iPhoto.app, Screen Sharing.app, RealPlayer.app and quitTime Player.app.
    Am I missing something?
It seems to be related to port 5353 being blocked by my apple firewall set at "Set acess for specific services and applications". As you can see below it is doing it for my computer and others
May 13 09:54:58 Jim-Mols-Computer Firewall[52]: Deny mDNSResponder data in from 192.168.1.64:5353 uid = 0 proto=17 [my computer address on the network]
May 13 09:48:56 Jim-Mols-Computer Firewall[52]: Deny mDNSResponder data in from 192.168.1.90:5353 uid = 0 proto=17 [another computer in the building]
I can see where the firewall would might block other computers but am I to assume my computer is trying to talk to itself and being denied?
    Thanks for your ideas
More stuff below that I don't understand:
    May 13 09:54:58 Jim-Mols-Computer Firewall[52]: Deny mDNSResponder data in from fe80::20a:95ff:fe9c:7800:5353 uid = 0 proto=17

Well, it wasn't blocking anything (other than Bonjour) to begin with, so what's the diff? If your Mac gets taken over, it will be via one of those many server apps you are running for which you've punched holes in your firewall. But if you remove them from the firewall, they don't work. So what is the point of the firewall again?

  • Why is my MacBook Port Scanning UDP Port 7238?

I have a MacBook 2.0 GHz. Just got it March 20, 2006. I'm sitting here at work, minding my own business and a PC co-worker says I am port scanning him. This has happened several times over the past month. This latest I tried to port scan UDP Port 7238. I had Mail up, Firefox, and had just launched NoteTaker and NoteTaker informed me it had an update when he said I was port scanning. (It was my IP.)
Does anyone know what is going on? This happened last year from my G5 at home. My ISP kept knocking me off. (We have wireless.) They kept telling me I was scanning their Port 0. No, I was not! Finally, they sent someone out and they configured my D-Link router so it would not Port Scan particular ones. It's been about a year and I've not been knocked off since. It was a weekly thing back then.
    Nancy S.

    Funny.
I just got a letter from my ISP that I was illegally scanning some ports on their server.
I will try little snitch and see...

There is any option when i crate a sales order  values can go into internal order without cost elements or i can create a statistical Internal Order and assigned into  CO-PA? if i can dothatt what is the steps. kindly explain to me. if some have can explain to me please leave contacts number or send me reply.

By standard configuration itr is not possible.
You ought to have user exit in place.
For DC A & B, where you need a redetermination of pricing component, take help of an ABAPer for user exit USEREXIT_XKOMV_FUELLEN (module pool SAPLV61A, program RV61AFZB).
So now, for DC C, you need to change the copying control in VTFL - item, where your pricing type ought to be D-Copy pricing elements unchanged.
    Regards
    JP
ASSUMPTION: I assume that your all DC uses the same Sales Doc type & Billing Doc type
