Absence Report

Dear All,
I need your help for a Absence reprot to be generated from the system if there is any standard report available -
From Infotype 2001 (Absences) I need to fetch the Start date & the end date and the Quota used. I tried a couple of times in SAP adhoc query, but unable to get it.

In the Report using Tcode - PT_QABS, it doesnt display the type of leave? Can you throw some light?
I tried using Adhoc query but couldnt get the quota used field.

Hi All,
Currently the absence report does not display the number of days absence if its half day absence.
Need to make configuration changes so that the report populates days/hours column, in case of half day absence.

Dear all, I need some help here,
My user need to open "Inventory in Warehouse" report. Basically, he could open aforementioned report (parameter selection), but after he click "OK" button, SAP subsequently show error message as below
You 're not permitted to perform this action - Absence Report
I have already grant "Full Authorization" for "Inventory in Warehouse" report (indeed, my user could already open "Inventory in Warehouse" forms, problem occurs after he click "OK" button)
Its pretty confusing for me, because this only occurs for "Inventory in Warehouse" report only. It doesn't occurs for "Inventory Posting List" report or for instance "Inventory Status" report. It only occurs for "Inventory in Warehouse" report.
Some advice would be appreciated here.

You have two modules to be authorised to your users for that. One is Inventory module and give authorisation to inventory reports. And second is Reports module in which again you have to give authorisation to the same inventory reports sub module.

Absence report restricted to organisational unit

Hi Experts,
We want to make the absence report restricted to few org units.
That is if we authorize a user to access the absence report, he/she should only be able to view for specific org units (say for A and B org unit).
Can anyone pls help ?

Unfortunately, no images can be attached here ( a picture is worth 1000 words, they say) , but this is what I assume, you would require.
You have organizational units. Lets say, ABC, DEF, GHI and XYZ.
On clicking ABC , you need to show the details of ABC and on clicking DEF, you need to show the details of DEF.
If so is the case, then this would be something similar to transaction WE19 where you click on the segment on the left hand side, and on the right hand side it shows you the details of the segment. Similarly you can have a column tree present, with the organisations present on the left hand side and on clicking the organisation, you can have the ALV list on the right hand side. The class used in this case is CL_GUI_COLUMN_TREE
But when I re-read your post, I assume that you want to see all organisational unit at once. If so is the case, then you can use the function module REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND.

MSS Absence Report PT64 not working via IAC iView

We have a problem with MSS regarding the PT64 Absence Report. If we invoke the report via SAP GUI it produces a report using the correct date criteria specified.
If we invoke the same report through MSS business package v 60.1.4 on EP6 SP2, the Selection Criteria iView delivered in the business package launches a new window to display the report using an AppIntegrator IAC iView and generates a URL as follows:

The report ignores the date criteria passed from the MSS iView. I can see in the URL above that the URL contains the dates I specified in MSS (start date=18000101 and end date=20050901).
So I assume that either the URL is wrong or that PT64 or ITS is incorrectly interpreting the URL?
Problem is, how do I know what the URL is supposed to look like?
And if ITS or PT64 is incorrectly interpreting the URL query data, how on earth do I investigate or debug this.

Generate Manager Wise employee absence report

Dear All,
How to generate manager wise -> employee absence report?
Currently Generating Attendance/Absence reports Org Unit -wise is time consuming. I would like to generate a report by selecting the field " Manager" so that I can generate an absence report of employees under one particular manager.
Can you please let me know how to get this done?

Hi Monu,
First get the position of Manager Employee. Then get all the subordinate Positions using relation ship 002 (Reports to) then ,
for all the subordinate positions get the employees for that positions. And for that employees get the absence details. This logic will gives the employees who will directly reports to Manager. To get all the employees we need to loop until all the subordinates reached or you can use RH_STRUC_GET to get hierarchy

PT91 Attendance/Absence Report

Hi Friends,
I am running a standard report PT91 which gives attendance/absence report.
I defined the indicators for the attendances like P for Present etc., And when I enter a attendance record in IT2002, the indicator is coming as "P". But if I enter the time in CAT2 and transfer through CAT6, when I run the report again, there I am getting "p" for that date.
Can you please tell me from where I am getting this small p. User wanted to see only "P".

I checked both the tables and everywhere I am seeing like P only.
One thing is, if I add the attendance in 2002 directly, its showing P and from CATS transfer its showing as p. Is there any config for this from CATS side?

I need to develop absence report with approver name for example.
Emp No, Name, Absence Type , Sdate, Edate, Days, Approvers
I need to show the actual approver instead of supervisor who is attached with employee, for this I am using the table per_absence_attendances but approver information is not available.

What I understand from your question is that you want to bring the last approver name on your report. if it's so then in the per_absence_attendances table there is filed called created_by which is the user id of the last approver. So you can get the last approver name by this following query.
select ppx.employee_number Emp_No, ppx.full_name Name, paa.AbsenceType , paa.Sdate,paa. Edate, paa.Days, fu.user_name Approvers
from per_people_x ppx
,per_absence_attendances paa
,fnd_user fu

Please try Report RPTEDT00 - Time statement form after doing Time evaluation.
Also try Tcode - PT_QTA10, PT50.

Long/Short term absence reporting

Hi there experts,
Does anybody know the best way to report out on long term and short term absence data from SAP? The issue we have is identifying and distingushing between the two at the moment.

Report for absences

Hi Friendsl,
I need to create a absences report displaying the list of absences with the absence quota being deducted for the absence along with no.of days used in the quota and the year to which the quota belongs.I have checked in infotype 2001 but they is no field for absence quota deducted by the absence.
Suppose if have the quotas as below in infotype 2006
3 days from 2005
30 days 2006
30 days 2007
I take 6 days of vacation in year 2006 through infotype 2001.This 6 days vacation has to be 3 days from quota of 2005 and 3 days from quota of 2006.
The report should display this information as a list.
Can anyone provide sample code on this..

MSS Absence/ Attendance Report output

Attendance and Absence report (PT64) in MSS is not producing results as a default. It require that user must click on Expand all inorder to display the data.
Does any one know if that option can be defaulted so users do not have to perform this extra step.
Unlike R/3 there is no input parameter when we can set up a variant with setting Org. assignment- Employees-Attendance/ absences types instead of default variant Org. assignment.

MSS report not passing values from portal to selection screen fields

Hello Gurus,
We have a problem with Sickness Absences report in MSS which is a Z copy of the standard report RPTABS20.
The problem is when the manager defines the selection criteria and selects the other period dates and under Organizational View - selects All Organizational Units and highlights one org unit and report results, then the report displays the employees which are currently not part of same org unit as selected in selection criteria. But these employees were present in this org unit in past when they took leave, which comes under the same period as given on selection screen. So in a way it seems to be right. But the requirement is to only display the employees which are currently present in this org unit.
The report seems to be working fine in backend where we specified the same date range and org unit on selection screen.
On our investigation in portal we came to know that the org unit field on selection screen PNPORGEH is not getting filled with org unit number selected on portal.
On further investigation in debugging we came across the fm HRWPC_RPT_START_REPORT which calls fm HRWPC_RPT_FCODE_EXEC which in turn calls fm HR_HIS_EXECUTE and it executes the report with following code:
    SUBMIT (repos-repid) AND RETURN
           USING SELECTION-SET repos-varit
           WITH pnpindex IN objid_ranges
           WITH pnptimed eq ' '
           WITH pnpbegps eq act_begda
           WITH pnpendps eq act_endda
           WITH pnpbegda eq act_begda
           WITH pnpendda eq act_endda
           WITH p_super eq space.
Looks like the standard code is not passing the org unit to the selection screen of the report.
Request you to kindly guide if this is a SAP standard problem or the report is not configured properly ?

MSS report disappeared

Hi all,
We installed MSS business package on portal. Under the "reports", we click on the link of the report name then select the criteria in launchpad, after submit, nothing shows up. The browser window just disappeared. Anyone has any idea about this?

Siddharth thanks very much. Where in the ECC that I can verify that there is no data, lets say the user is trying to view leave absences report and selected following selection criteria
Manager has 3 of his employees taken leave last month and when he is trying to view MSS leave report for last month the browser closes instantly. The manager reports that he should have data because last month he has his 3 employees on leave.
We understand that this is a sympton that there is no data if browser closes instantly. I went to PA30 tcode and looked up manager's absences infotype could find there is absences record. Is what I'm looking correct? Or Should I be looking elsewhere?
