Absolutely complete Where-Used-List

Hello together,
I want/need to code an report to find definitely all dispositions of a domain.
Well you will say - Push the Button "Where-Used-List" - but the result is not that what I need.
What I want to get as result is an absolutely complete list with all objects which have the same root.
Example:
Domain SAKNR is used in over 600 data elements. Each of the data elements is used in tables, in dynpros, in coding.
These objects I also want to get.
At the moment I have to continue pushing the button Where-Used-list. First time for domain, second time for data element and so on.
My question:
Does anbody coded something like this or do you know a function module to use for it?
Thanks in advance.
Heiko

It is possible but the runtime would be too large.

  • Bizzare situation withn the "Where used list" for a table

    Hello all,
I use the "where used list" (all check boxes selected) function in SE11 to find out where and how the table FMGLFLEXT (same for table FMGLFLEXA) is being used and updated. All I get is a reference to a function module, namely   “G_POSTING_FMGLFLEXT”. When I do a "where used list" (once again, all check boxes selected) for the FM, I get the message: Function Module G_POSTING_FMGLFLEXT not found in selected search area Message no. ES120“ despite the fact that all check boxes are selected.
Yet this table contains data which were put in there via transaction FB50 (G/L Acct Pstg: Single Screen Trans.). So somehow, somewhere this data was created and put into the table.
I don’t get it! What am I missing?
    Thank you for your help

Old thread, but anyway: There is one more thing to do to get the complete where-used list:
    (1) Select all checkboxes in the "Used in" block (as you did, probably by using the button "Select All (F7)")
    (2) and use the button "Search Range" (quickinfo "Limit Search Range (F5)") -- although the following pop-up is called "Restrict hit lit" you will find there a checkbox "Search also in generated objects". In my case that's how I found a generated function module G_POSTING_Z.... in SAP's namespace but with customer db table name Z....

  • Where-used list

    Hi,
After the upgrade from 46C to ECC 6.0 SR3, the where used list functionality does not work for some objects, while the same works in 46C. Any ideas? We are on Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 and solaris 10 in both environments.
    Thank You,
    Jiten

    Hi,
    from the upgrade guide....
6.13 Updating the Where-Used List in the ABAP Workbench
    Note:
    This action is optional.
As of Release 6.10, the where-used list for ABAP Dictionary objects and object types has changed. It
now has an index of its own. If you need a complete display of the where-used list in your SAP system,
you must recreate the index after the upgrade.
    Procedure
To create the index, you need to run report SAPRSEUB in the background.
    Note
As the runtime of the report may be quite long, we recommend that you run it in the development
    system only.
For more information about this report, see SAP Note 28022.
I suggest to you to run this program only in development system.
    Thanks.
    Kind Regards.

  • How to find out where used list of Table or T-code

    Dear ABAP gurus
I know many of you have done this several times.
wish to find out which Transaction code INSERTs the data into the table IHPA.
I did the where  used list - SE11 ( for specific key work called INSERT ).
Used the Table called D010TAB which has some information.
Vise versa if I know a T-CODE , how to know which tables it read  & Modify...
any better procedure than spending hours in research...
I found similar custom program to find USER EXITS ...here..., looking soething similar...

    Hi Anvesh,
Maybe the data INSERTION is happening by BAPI,
So just try to look for the concerned BAPIS.
    ECP_SRV_PARTNERS_IHPA
    IREP1_IHPA_ADRNR_PRE_FETCH

  • Short dump with Where-used list

    Hi All,
I'm making some research on specific InfoObjects, and in some cases I want to know where are they being used, but when I try to use the icon for "Where-used list using Data Warehouse" I end up with an error, a short dump.
    Message class is: RSQBW
    Trigger Location of Runtime Error:
    Program: CL_RSQ_ISET_SERVICE===========CP
    Include: CL_RSQ_ISET_SERVICE===========CM016
    Row: 136
    Module Type: (METHOD)
    Module Name: EXTEND_FIELD_BUFFER
Does any one can help me to understand why is this going on and how to solve this?
    Thank you!!
    Miriam

    Hi Miriam
In the short dump you should also see the name of the infoset in question.
You probably have to adjust the infoset in transaction RSISET and they try to run the where used list again.

  • Where used list doesn't work for global data

    Hi,
When i try to do where used list on a constant in an include, it doesn't give the results for classes.
The class contains the include in a method that uses the constant, and the where used list for that constant doesn't find the appearance of the constant in the class.
I tried to look for oss note that solves the problem but i couldn't find any.

I tried to update the navigation index but it still doesn't work. from my debuging i found out that it just doesn't look in classes, all classes. I mean even in the where used itself there is not an option for used in classes. I checked it and it's a generic problem of the where used list for global data.

  • Where used listing for Query Variables

Can someone tell me how to get this list from the metadata repository or from the transport connector?
I have read this thread "where used" list for BEx variables but this isn't working for us.
Is there some config that is required which we have missing?
We are running BI7 SP19 if this helps.

    Arun,
Yeah I figured as much, but this is why I am thinking we have something missing, config or otherwise.
Cause all I get when I do this is a new window with just the Variable details and nothing else, no where used list at all i.e.

  • How to see an IDOC type & FM, "WHERE USED LIST"?

    Hi Experts,
I nned to create an IDOC of WMTCID01 and message type is WMTOCO.
I wanna to see that, Where Where this IDOC was used(especially, in "Z" objects) so that, I can get some idea abt. it and do my coding.
So, let me know that, How to see this IDOC & FM, "WHERE USED LIST"
    thanq

    hi go to the tcode...
    1) Create Segment ( WE31)
    2) Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
    3) Create Message Type ( WE81)
    4) Assign Idoc Type to Message Type ( WE82)
Tcode- we19  is for testing idoc
in the we42 the message type and the idoc function module is ataached by the process code..
this is a best example to understand the creation of idocs(z)..

  • Function Module where-used list does not find update rule programs

We have function modules called in update rules. The where-used list in the function builder does not find the update rule programs.
For example, function DATE_GET_WEEK is called in an update rule to InfoCube YCUBE001. The activated program name for this update rule is GP3PWI6PKM5Y3K75A370DIS8I77. When I goto SE37, enter the function DATE_GET_WEEK, click the where-used button, check the programs option and search. The system does not find the program GP3PWI6PKM5Y3K75A370DIS8I77.
Without this search capability it is difficult to do an impact analysis of changing function modules. Does anyone know of a solution?

    hi,
i think the reason is the code of update rules' generated program are stored line by line in table(rsaabap), update rules program itself stored in table rsupdrout, link with field codeid, another useful table is rsupdinfo which store infocube, infosource related.  other info may stored in some other rs* and rsa* tables.
try to create following program in your system, and run, type in the function module name, and will display out the update rules program id, with additional useful info : which infoprovider, infosource, and detail info of the routine and infoobject in the update rule that using that function module. you may modify the program to have better display out list.
    hope this helps.

  • SEM-BCS R/3 based - where used list fsitem in sets

    Hello
I would like to know if there is a way to get a where-used list for a fs-item to know in which sets it is used. It seems there is no standard way.
    thank you
    Olivier C.

    Are these standard R/3 sets?
You can probably look in table SETLEAF (and perhaps SETNODE) to determine where they are used.  Check the VALFROM field.
You'd have to play around with the selection criteria if you are using any ranges in the set.

  • Function Module to do "Where-used-list"

    Dear sirs,
Please could anyone help me? I'd like to know if there is any FM which I can pass the name of an abap object (program, include, table, function module, etc) and returns the where used list of it in an internal table.
I need to map all transactions that call a report or are using an include.
    Thank you in advance,
    Fabio Purcino

You can use the Function Module
    RS_EU_CROSSREF
Read the Documentation of the same.
    there is one example.
