Absurd values in BEx Report on Multicube

Hi,
when i run my query on the multicube (containing 2 cubes C1 and C2), i get a result with 3 rows and the fourth row says # and "not assigned" in all columns except the KF column.
when i run my query only on the cube C1, then it shows me the correct result i.e. all the rows.
I suspect there is something absurd in the multicube but cannot detect the problem. Pls help!!

Hi,
In a MultiProvider, every characteristic in each of the InfoProviders involved must correspond to exactly one characteristic or navigation attribute (wherever these are available). If it is not clear, at the MultiProvider definition stage, you have to specify to which InfoObject you want to assign the characteristic of the MultiProvider.
The MultiProvider contains the characteristic 0COUNTRY and an InfoProvider contains the characteristic 0COUNTRY as well as the navigation attribute 0CUSTOMER__0COUNTRY. In this case, select exactly one of these InfoObjects in the assignment table.
Select a key figure contained in a MultiProvider from at least one of the InfoProviders involved. In general, exactly one of the InfoProviders provides the key figure. However, there are cases where it is better to select from more than one InfoProvider:
If the 0SALES key figure is stored redundantly in more than one InfoProvider (meaning that it is contained completely in all value combinations of the characteristics) you must select from exactly one of the InfoProviders involved (otherwise the duplicated value is added incorrectly in the MultiProvider).
However, if 0SALES is stored as an actual value in one InfoProvider and as a planned value in another InfoProvider so that there is no overlap between the data records (in other words, sales are divided separately between several InfoProviders) then it makes sense to make a selection across several InfoProviders.
Identification defines where the object has to get the data.
When you create a query against MP ,each object gets the data from Infoproviders if check the identification only.

Getting wrong values for decimal value in Bex report

Hi,
     I am getting some problem in Bexreport decimal values.
   In ODS i am able to look the values for this key figure
(Total PO Release Val)= 140.692,00,the same value in Bex report looks like this $ 140,692.00.
     Here one calculation is going with these above values
   % Used = 'Total PO Release Val' / 'Target Value' * 100
    as per ODS value calculation it is correct = 140.692/1000 * 100 =14.692
   as per Bex it is coming like this = 140,692.00/1000 *100 = 142.692.
    in Bex report Percentage valus is not considering value is taking as 140,692.00 rather than 140.692.I mean to say decemal values are ignoring while calculation in Bexreport.can you any please advice me how to comeout of this problem.Appreciate your help.

How do you check the ODS value? The amount will only have two decimal places after it, so you can't have a value like 140.692,00. It seems to be an issue of user's decimal notation (where decimal is represented by comma, and thousand seperator by '.'). Go to user profile, change this setting (in default tab) to correct one (ie decimal being represented by '.') and login again and check it. The value that you see in ODS is 'one hundred forty thousand six hundred ninety two, the same that you get in Bex, only the representation is different).

How to show Blank values in Bex Report

                   In my bex report one of the KF Column having zero's and Blank values .
Ex .   Mat     Price
          A         0
          B
          C        15
                                when i create a condition Price > 0
Then the given Out put is
                                        Mat     Price

                                                                   but the required Out put is
                                                                                                           Mat     Price
                                                                                                            B
                                                                                                            C        15
I.e I have to Remove only zeros and i should show blank values. Could you pls give some Ideas on this .

The user don't want see materials Price1 which is Zero . So I should remove materials A and F in Price1 column .
IF i apply condition on Price1 > 0 in the out put B and D also not displaying bcoz blank values consider as Zero.
Can you pls give some ideas how to full fill this Requirement

Display Filter Values in BEx Report

I have a BW query that has a dimension (Unit of Measure, UoM) in the filter area. The user can only select one value for UoM. The user selects "Z03" which corresponds to a UoM text value of "lb/1000 gal". How do I display "lb/1000 gallons" at the top of the BEx report.
If this is not possible, I would like to at least display the value Z03 at the top of the report. I prefer not to devote a whole column in the BEx report to UOM, since the user can only select one UOM. I am new to BW and this is my first posting.

if you have a variable for UoM you can add the value/text of the variable via textvariable to the query title.
Please ask if you need more advice on this.

Then I have activated the 0customer master data and done attribute change, I have such display at BEx reporting

Display of calender month text instead of values in BEx report.

Hi,
I have calender months in the reporting columns, values of these reporting columns are dynamic in reports. We need to replace these values with text of the calender months. I have seen it at some places but do not remember how to do it now.
Can some one has idea on this, will update on this post please.

if you want to display in columns along with the data then right click and select properties and the select the disply as Text .
If you want to display in the header go the properties and in the header (Title area where u provide desxcription) instead of ur description enter the text variable &0T_CMONV& or you can select the text variable from the list .

Dynamic cumulative Value in Bex report

I need to implement the following report but meet problem,
User-input variables:
Year: (single value variable ready for input)
for instance 2005
Period: (interval variable ready for input)
for instance from 4 to 6
The report should display as follows:
Period 4 | Period 5 | Period 6

Sorry, continue as follows:
For each Period there are two kfigs should display
Amount and Cumulative amount, the cumulative amount means the amount accumulated from period 1 to current period, the report should display like
Period 04 | Period 05 | Period 06
Amout ***.Amount | Amount ***.Amount | Amount ***.Amount
Normally we can enable "cumulative" flag in key figure setting, however, the cumulative function only works for the displayed columns, e.g. the ***.amount of period 05 is the sum of amount period 04 and amount period 05, but we need the sum of amount from period 01 to period 05.
I am considering the following solutions but need your suggestion:
1. Use customer-exit variable to add the selection "from period 1 to period X",here in this case "from period 1 to period 3", and calculate the ***. amout in virtual key figure, but I have no idea how to hide the column period 1 to period X in exit.
2. Define 24 predefined fixed key figures(12 columns for amount and 12 for cumulative amount), but I have no idea how to let user filter on key figure name (1KYFNM?) when executing the query.
3. Use VBA and Web Table interface to hide the columns at runtime, but I have no idea whether if it still works when user drill down the key figures to the rows.
Any suggestion is highly appreciated!!!

Do not want to display compounded value in BEx report

Hi,
My info object material has compounded with plant.
When I show material in the report, its showing along with plant.
Plant 20
Material ABC.
In report, its showing like 20/ABC.
I dont want to show 20 with ABC, how do i fix this?

In BEx QD, for 'Plant', u should select 'Display As': Key.... And may not work, if select 'Key & Text'.

How to display Currency Unit beside value in BEx Report?

Hi,
I have 2 separate Amounts in the columns area. Their respective currencies exist as Characteristics in Unit dimension. How do I display the amount along with currency unit beside it?
As of now my Report looks like....
Amount 1              Amount 2
2000                     3000
I would like to display it as......
Amount1           CUR                Amount2          CUR
2000                 EUR                 3000               USD

Hi Sebastian,
Yes it can be possible to get the currency unit along with currency in ur report.
To do this, first of all u need to have the currency unit in ur flat file or else in ur data.
If u have so, here are the steps to do that.
1.Double click ur amount info object under 'currency/unit of measure tab' , in the unit/currency field just give as 0currency.
2.And then activate ur info object.
3.In Transformations u will find another field '0currency', just map it to the amount field.
and then do the process as usally loading data to target, and the execute the report.
u will be able to see currency unit filed also.

Issue with Decimal Values in Bex Reporting

hello gurus,
I have extracted data from 2LIS_13_VDITM. In the ODS when I look at the Active data, column Billing Qty Sls Units - it shows "13,190 " and the Sales Unit is "KM".
ITEM   SALES UNIT Billing Qty :Sales Unit
10       KM          13,190
20       KM           0,500
In R3 table VBRK also it stores in the above format.
But while reporting it rounds of the data as 13,000 and 1,000.
How can i get the actuals, in reporting also.

Hi Roberto -> I had a look at the entries in T006 for KM (kilometers)and M(meters). this is what i got.

And in SPRO in Src System and BW Sytem there is no mention of KM and meters.

In our BO Webi report hierarchy with measure values showing more(almost double value) compare to BW Bex report. Can any one please help on this.
Is it BW problem or BO problem?

KF value is not Displayed in BEx Report ..where as cube, mpro end ok..!!

Hello Experts,
I ran a bex report. In that report KF some NetsSalesValue has not displayed in the BI Report for all the Sales Organiations where as other KFs has displayed the value for all the Sales Organizations.
For that i checked my end. BI report is pulling data from Cube --> Multiprovider --> Bex Report.
I myself checked KF value into Cube level, multiprovider KF level value is avaialable.
And also i checked, in the query properties is there any filters, RKF, CKF, but...i found the KF is a basic KF.
And also..i checked the whether the rollup has happened..properly or not and ran the query but no use.
For your info upto 3 days..back KF value has presented in the report. After that only this issue has encounterred.
I am in confusion where the exact issue will be.
If any body faced this kind of scenario is your project, kindly reply me.
For any more clarifications i will respond you immediately.

check aggregates,index etc for cube
check key figure selection as well in Multiprovider for respective Infoprovider
just create test query on Infoprovider and then on Multiprovider and see..
Check RSRT - regenerate the query
also see there are various options like execute+debug has ....just check them

Delete hash value row in Bex report output

Hi All,
Can anybody suggest how can i remove hash value(not assigned) row in Bex report out put.
my report looks like this:
rows
project position
(hierarchy)
WBS element
(hierarchy)
Order
For each Project position and WBS element hierarchies, i did supress the " not assigned" tick in hiearchy attributes in RSH1.
but in colums i have budget as one of the column.
this budget comes from project position nodes to last node of WBS element but not in order, for order it will be blank but after this order a new row coming up with bold" Not assigned" with that budget amount against this not assigned.
My problem is how can i get rid of this not assinged entire row. I search so many links in SDN, they talk about just to replace the not assigned to some other value as blank or something like that.
Please suggest me how can i get rid of this.
i did tried to restrict Order with "#" but then the whole budget column getting blank.

my issue is i need to get rid of that entire row.
when i drop proj def hierarchy ,then wbs hierachy starts, sometimes at the end of wbs hierarchy i get row with #
and sometimes after wbs hierarchy ,then order row then # row is coming.
even after i tick supress unassigned nodes in both Projdef and wbs hierarchies.
i am not supposed to simply replace #( not assigned) symbol or text with some other symbol or text ( thats what they discussing in these links).
i created that macro they said in those links but its just deleting # symbol to blank not the whole row.
hope i made my issue clear.
i have seen so many other links as well

Display F4 values as TEXT ONLY on selection screen of Bex report

Hi,
I have InfoObject with text(short) loaded for it. In Bex report on selection screen, I need to display ONLY TEXT values when you do F4 for values. How this can be achieved? I get key & text both now.
Please note that I have tried all below settings -
1. Set Text in InfoObject maintenance screen.
This setting is over-ridden if you have multiprovider specific settings defined.
2. Set Text in Infoprovider Specific properties.
Here if you do KEY only, it works.. if you do KEY & TEXT, it works... but if you do TEXT only, it DOESNT work. It works for filter F4 values after report is executed but doesnt work for F4 values on Selection screen. There is no way I am able to get TEXT only on F4 values on selection screen.
3. Set Text in Query
These setting defines how value is displayed on report output. Nothing to do with F4 or Filter values.
