Hi Guru's,
What is meant by CDA storage location? I hav to create report in order to generate report on Ageing analysis for materials in a CDA storage location? How can i?

I normally just create an executive summary for the past 30 days which gives enough information for them to see if there are any issues with the WAN. This report looks more professional than the rest but I also trim off some of the extraneous details I don't think they need or care to see. There's an option just before the end with check boxes you can either check or uncheck depending on what you want in the report.
I do wish there was a way to generate more detailed WAN reports though and I am still waiting for the ability to have control over the alert thresholds so that if my client sites go down for just a minute I don't get messages. In South Florida this happens all of the time and I'm bothered at least 40 times a day with emails I just don't want to receive. It's almost enough to stop using the product. Some would say I should just create a rule and have them automatically go into a folder so I don't get the alert but then when a site actually goes down for a long period of time I wouldn't know it. Unfortunately I have to check each and every one to see if it's a valid issue and it sometimes drives me mad. Especially when there is severe weather down here.

I once wrote this in an old version of APEX where one had to deal with the wwv_flow_files ...
I now have a page which allows me to upload a file into a blob as well as the mimetype and filename...
But I cannot find APEX 4.0 documentation on how to get the correct URL in hte report to get to the file...
I see the blob content is there etc ...
But not sure how to build the p?n=#ID# part of the URL

Report Title as a link or not.....

Good morning,
I am a new user to Business Object, not an IT professional....
I created a Crystal Report with specific parameters on it. I then forward ot our BO team for them to upload to the BO portal... I can click on the report title (blue font) and it will launch the report without any problem. When i go to someone else computer, we log in BO as a different user with the same security level and the report is not a link... (black font), in order to get the report i basically have to click on schedule and then run from there.... Is this a local cpu setting in IE that need to be change or is it some settings in BO that must be change for that specific user ???? Same applied to other people as well....
Any help would be really appreciated as we are tryign to promote this system and it seems difficult to get it going....

In BusinesObjects Denied will always take prsidance.....
do one thing....get loggd to CMC as administrator and then go to the report and click on its rights...in that section slect advacd right and grant view rightto the specific user and turn of the inheritance and the ask the user to loging to infoview and ry to view hte report again

Check this to know abut Activity Reporting which is meant to gather and present information about portal activity.

If Portal Activity Report does not fulfill your usecase, then use Activity Data Collector, which is more powerfull but writes all outputs to files.
You can also check the DB Tables WCR_USERSTAT and all WCR* tables to check the datas collected by Portal Activity Report.

Data missing in SLR

Hi Experts,
In my solution manager, SLR is not showing last month's data specially for KPI.
EWA's are generating correctly with all the data but SLR is not reflecting the same.
Any one have any ide, why it is happening so?

Hi Vinit,
Please try reprocessing the SLR session once again. Maybe the SLR was executed when the last EWA data was not ready yet. You can do the following steps:
1. Execute Transaction: DSA
2. Choose session number (shown in the fist page of hte report of positioning the mouse over the session icon in DSWP Operations Area)
3. On the next screen, click the session on the left panel
4. Right-Click Service Level Reporting on the right panel
5. From the context menu, chose Session Components -> Reset
6. Afterwards, click again on Service Level Reporting, enter EN as session language and wait until the session is processed
again.
Once the session is processed again, please open it from DSWP Operation Area and check if the SLR is still empty.

                and AUGDT = Date from to..
now from this internal table u can have all required data displayed.. Please consult ur FICO consultant on the same lines..have a look at bkpf table also...

Disable author from analyser output.

Dear team,
Customer of our prj uses BEX Analyser for executing all the rpts.
In output screen author of hte report is displayed.
is there an option to disable ?

Hi,
There are two ways to avoid this....
You can either delete the text item or disable the display of Author so that you can customize the text element to display some other infomrations
To disable the author display,
Switch to Design Item->Click on the Text element->Constants tab->Uncheck "Disiplay Author" checkbox->OK

No dsn is present in the configuration file in the reporting services 2008

HI i have found this error in the log file of my reporting services ,
when i comes to the Configuration file in that
my DSN path is empty no input code is there in that DSN tags

it shows the empty tags,
and my Current Report Server Report Credentials are Windows,Service account credentails
will it take the problem or what
We have repair the BIDS setup also still not able to solve my issue.
once this is resolved now able to send the emails using subscriptions.

According to your description, you found error in log file of reporting services, when you come to rsreportserver.config file, the DSN tag is empty.
DSN specify the database server that hosts the report server database connection string. The report server database is created, this value will be encrypted and added to the configuration file. To solve the problem, we need to connect to either an
existing report server database or create a new one for this instance. For detail information, please refer to the following steps:
Start the Reporting Services Configuration Manager and connect to the report server instance for which you are creating the database.
On the Database page, click Change Database.
We can create a new report server database or select an existing database, then click Next.
Connect to the instance of the Database Engine that you will use to create and host the report server database.
Specify properties used to create the database.
Specify the credentials used by the report server to connect to the report server database.
Review the information on the Summary page to verify the settings are correct, and then click Next.
Verify the connection by clicking a URL on the Report Server URL page or Report Manager URL page.

Values not getting refreshed in web report.

Hello Friends,
Currently i am running an web report. The scenerio is i have check box with 5 options For Ex: IMS , IMR, IMN,IMM,IMP.
IMS is the combination of all divisions and IMR is the combination of only three divisions.
In BEx we runthe report with divisions . For ex : divisions are Ind1, ind2,ind3,ind4,ind 5.
Instead of displaying divisions in the select options like Ind1,ind2....etc., we have created a structure in the report
and using new selection we have restricted the divisions with IMS,IMN,etc.,
IMS->combination of all divisions. IMR is combination of ind1,ind2,ind3.
IMN... all are with single divisions
Now we have assigned the query in the data provider for select options in hte web report,
But when we select any options the values of the remaining queries are not getting refreshed.
If we use the divisons directly with out using the structures the values are getting refreshed.
Can any one give me the solutions for this?

Hi Mansi,
Check the Prompt properties in the Edit Query window of the webI. In the query filters section of window, click on the blue icon which says Prompt Properties. Deselect Keep Last values select and run the webI again.

Pf status in interactive report

Hi,
i have developed an interactive report and i have used menus to navigate from basic list to secondary lists and it worked fine.
i tried to create two buttons in the application tool bar FORWARD and BACK to navigate in between basic and secondary lists.
i used the same function code for both buttons and menus. now iam unable to navigate from basic list to secondary lists.
before creating buttons on hte application tool bar the object was woking fine.
do i need to assign seperate function code to buttons and meus.
please let me know.

PLEASE REVIEW THIS LOG REPORT 4 COMP/KEYBOARD/MOUSE FREEZE..FANS CYCLE FAST

MY COMP STATS ARE BELOW..
as of late my g5 on random occasion will freeze up, the keyboard and mouse freeze, the caps lock button will not light up, plugging in new mouses wont work, the fans speed up like **** coming to earth..none of the keyboard shortcuts work. my only option is to keep dpoing a hard shutdown by holding the power button. i dont have any new recently installed software..
- the light near the power button that is suppose to blink a color code to advise of certain issues is not blinking at all, nor has it changed color.
- the freezes happen at random..sometimes not for days or a week and today it happened twice in 2 hours..
- and my apple warranty is up..
- i have recently started using a hp photosmart C4480 printer/scanner which i did not install any software..it worked plug and play.
im not overly computer tech savy..i posted the log from after a freeze down below..
IF ANYONE IS GOOD WITH READING THE LOGS MAYBE YOU CAN TELL ME OR DECIPHER WHAT MAY BE CAUSING THE FREEZES??
i see some messages that look like its a bad thing or something is outdated but i dont know what exactly its referring too..maybe some experianced user can point something out?
- maybe a software upgrade or removal is needed?

Advantages of BW SD reports over the SIS

Hello BI experts,
Would like to present the advantages of BW SD reports over the SD SIS reports.
1) Please provide me three main advantages and benefits to clients implementing BW SD reports over the SIS reports.
2) Are there any reports in the SIS system which are limited and BW has an advantage over them ?
3) What are the general information for hte SIS reports.
4) Any idea where I can find the SIS reports.

SIS is a part of Logistics information system (LIS). SIS reports use the following characteristics:
Customer
Material
Sales org.
Shipping point
Sales Employee
Sales office
There are number of SIS std reports. But as you can see they concerned mainly sales and distribution area. They are build on LIS structures. However, you can create custom structures and build non-std reports.
BW SD reports may be build on data provided by these old LIS structures (practically the same reports as in SIS). But LO cockpit provide new data sources with more information. So, std BW SD-related reports give more information and more flexible.
Additionally, to this SD reports we can add CRM reports.
And finally, BW flexibility allows us not only to get data from sales info, but also to join it with data from the other application areas, for example with materials management or controlling.

Integration oracle reports with ADF

I am getting error-
REP-110: File spare_request.rdf cannot be opened. REP-1070: An error occurred while opening or saving a document. REP-0110: File spare_request.rdf cannot be opened

Well, the message comes from the reports server which is telling you that the report definition can't be found. Check hte name and path to the file on the report server.

How do I get refund for App not performing well? Report problem link takes me to these discussion boards

I downloaded this App for ringtones (Ringtones 500.000) , purchased a full version of it, so I should be able to download unlimited number of ringtones. The problem is, it won't let me download any ringtones after 10, which is how free version of this App performs.
I have contacted developers, but they keep sending the instruction book to me with step-by-step inforamtion, which is out of date itself, but that is not a problem, I think in my case.
When I try to report a problem to Apple , using hte link on my receipt, it just takes me to a page with discussion boards and FAQ.
I would like to get $1.99 back instead of troubleshoot this any longer, because it seems App help support people are not understanding the problem.
I did try re-loading the App -didn't help either.
