AC-300 Charger for Lumia 2520

Hello,
Can anyone tell me where I can buy one of these?
My charger has already been replaced through the product recall but is now broken.
John Lewis (where I bought the device) and my local Nokia Care shop have both said they don't stock this charger. No other phone/tablet shop I have tried does either.
I have tried buying one online but I keep getting sent micro USB chargers which don't fit the device.
I cannot find the link to buy one on the Nokia site or any direct way to contact Nokia (apart from here) to ask about buying one.
My tablet has not been used for over two weeks now as I can't charge it so I appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Kevin

You could try to contact Nokia support in your country or local Nokia service.
Or buy it from some e-shop. I've made some quick search and found:

I want to mirror my videos (i.e. Online ondemand movies) and etc into my LED TV. What are the best solutions at the moment for Lumia 2520?
I also got iPad and Apple TV and I'm looking for solution which handles mirroring into TV as easy as with iPad.
Lumia 2520 is awesome tablet by the way. Forget iPad Retina screen quality, Nokia Lumia 2520 goes far further with its brilliant screen.

Several sources confirm that Lumia 2520 has Miracast support.

  • $300 charge for the phone i did not ask for!!!

    Hello,
my name is Irina , phone number xxx-xxx-xxxx.
I came to a Verizon store (Harbor east branch on Fleet street, Baltimore., MD) two months ago to purchase screen protectors for my iphone. Before i left the assistant asked if there was anything else they could help me with. I said the home button wasn't working properly so they offered to take a look at it.
After inspecting the iphone the assistant said the issue could not be fixed and offered to order a replacement iphone for no additional charges, since the inspection had not detected water damage.
I gladly agreed! Received my replacement ipone, mailed the old one back. it was two months ago.
Now two months later i see a $299 charge for the replacement phone i received in march because  they detected water damage in my old iphone.
How ridiculous is that? I did not ask for it. If i knew there was a chace of water damage why would i risk a $300 charge replacing my iphone when i could just wait a few months for the iphone 5 free upgrade?! My old phone worked fine, except for the home button being not sensitive.
And now you're expecting me to pay $300 for what?
The store has to take responsibility for this. The charge needs to be taken off my account. My whole family and i have been verizon customers for 5 years and i cant believe this is happening now!
If no action is taken to resolve this problem im going to file a complain to FFC Better Business Bureau.
I'm hoping to hear from a verizon representative as soon as possible. Customer service on the phone would not help.
I can not believe how difficult it is to find contact information to get in touch with the right people who will be in position to help.
    Thank you for your coordination,
    Irina

So, my son's iPhone 4s was having issues with the power button and the home button.  I bought it less than a year ago and have also purchased the insurance.  That said these kept sticking and didn't work, so we took it into the Verizon store where a sales clerk took it to the back and after 15 minutes came back to tell us that his iPhone was broken, and that the problems were common and we could get a new phone under the warranty.  We asked 5 questions along the lines of are you sure?  They said yes.  They looked up our information and NOT ONCE did they advise us to go thru the Insurance option that I pay $9.99 a month for.  This issue would be covered by warranty for SURE!  They gave us a box to ship it back to Verizon in, ordered him a new phone, and wala it came in the mail 3-5 days later.  THEN 10 days AFTER that, I get an email from Verizon telling me that they "disallowed" the warranty claim as the issue was not due to a malfunction of the phone but some kind of damage -- which then they included a picture of (and the picture did NOT even show on the email).  They also wanted me to know that I would be seeing a $299 charge for the replacement phone.  I didn't even PAY $299 for the original phone back when I bought it - there was a $199 promo deal going on.  I called customer service - what a CLUSTER!  They pulled up the email and could SEE the picture I couldn't  - and the notation apparently saying that the phone had suffered WATER DAMAGE.  This PHONE has been treated like GOLD -- it never had ANY Water damage, they are just trying to get out of honoring the Warranty.  WHY would the service tech @ the Verizon store tell us it was a common issue covered under warranty AFTER inspection?  WHY would he tell us that it would be taken care of and to send the phone into Verizon with a new replacement on the way??  The Customer Service person then shared with me "oh - I see you have the Asurion Insurance" - I said YES, I did get that when we bought the phone.  She said we should have SENT the damaged phone thru Insurance for replacement.  OMG!  We RELIED UPON THEIR OWN employee to discern the nature of the issue.  If they had looked up the account and saw I had insurance, why did they not go that route?  What a *****.  So net net - I AM NOT PAYING $299 for that phone - they can send me to a collection agency.  Honestly what a racket and what kind of employees are working there - incompetent.  I will NOT pay for that phone.  The worst case should have been I had to pay the insurance deductible, but we relied on the Verizon store employee to diagnose the problem and provide recommended action - which WAS WRONG!

  • Wireless Charging for Lumia 635 is it compatible o...

At the microsoft store online I found a Wireless charging stand that says it is compatible with the Lumia 635.
So, clicked on the chat function to ask if that was true and was told that she did not know the answer to my question and then gave me a link to some tech answers person who also had no answers.  How difficult should it be to find out if my device supports Qi wireless charging?  It says that my device is compatible but I don't always believe what I read especially when it comes to spending $70.  Really disappointed that I wasted so much time talking to people who could not answer a simple question, does my device support Qi wireless charging and if so how would I know? Is it available for the AT&T version? If is not why do they list it as a compatible device?  So far my experience has been pleasant with my windows phone and non-existent with windows phone support. Couldn't even find an email address to write to get answers or to complain about their (Non) Tech Support.
Put it down, charge it upWith this wireless charging stand (DT-910), there's no need to plug anything in—simply place your Nokia Lumia on it to start charging. The multifunctional stand can activate a pre-specified application on your phone via near field communication (NFC), and you can use your phone in portrait mode while it charges.
    Compatible with:
Any phone that supports Qi wireless charging
Nokia Lumia 635   Is it Qi compatible or not?
    Nokia Lumia Icon
    Nokia Lumia 928
    Nokia Lumia 920
Nokia Lumia 1020 (requires CC-3066 Wireless Charging Cover)
Nokia Lumia 925 (requires CC-3065 Wireless Charging Cover)
Nokia Lumia 820 (requires CC-3041 Wireless Charging Shell)

Regretfully the 635 does not support wireless charging of any type.

  • Blackberry charger for Lumia 520

hi everybody. I just bought a Lumia 520 and I was wondering if I can use my old blackberry charger to charge the lumia?
    I had a Blackberry curve 8520 charger with output 5V and 700mA.
    thanks a lot

    Xqubi,
    Welcome to Nokia Discussions
A Nokia Lumia 520 sales box typically comes with AC-20 charger with an output of 5V, rated at 750mA.
It is recommended that using the device only with an approved charger by Nokia since the use of unapproved accessory may invalidate any approval or warranty.

  • External battery charger for Lumia 1520

I was looking for an external battery charger but all of them are either 1.0A or 2.1A.
Since Lumia 1520's charger is 1.5A, is there any brand of external battery fit the requirement?
Is it safe to charge Lumia 1520 with an external battery with output=2.1A?
    Thanks!

Agreed, those power packs are great to have as an extra power supply when you know you're going to be out and about for extended periods.
Recently I got myself one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BJCHH36/

Going by the specification it should be compatible. However, chargers do not always do what they say in the specification. I suggest the charger below.

  • In car charger for Lumia 1020.

Is there anything available bar the expensive wireless charger?     Just a normal cigarette plug in job will do.
I've looked on the Nokia site but can't find anything.
Is the USB charging port on the phone a standard port?   I have a JCB car charger at work that I could use if it will work.

yes it is a standard charging port, however as for playing music it uses the MTP standard so not everything will play (if at all).

  • Nokia Lumia 2520 compensatory voucher

    Hi everyone,
is there anyone who has been affected by ac-300 charger product advisory that has already received the promised compensatory voucher?
Two month after receiving the replacement charge still no voucher for me.
    thank you very much

    Hi partfover,
    Welcome to the forum!
Where are you located? You registered for the 2520 charger replacement in the local Nokia website before May 31st, is that right? Check this link for information about the 2520 charger advisory and compensatory voucher: Nokia Announces Product Advisory for AC-300 Charger for the Lumia 2520 tablet in select European cou....
If the terms and conditions indicate that you're qualified for the said voucher, I suggest coordinating with the local Nokia Care support to have this case further checked. See this: Nokia - Select your country for local support.

  • Lumia 2520 Auto Accessories?

Has anyone found any solutions, other than using an inverter, for charging a Lumia 2520 in your car?  Perhaps a USB->3.5mm adapter?
    Thanks

Hate to be a killjoy here, but I'd bet against finding an adapter that fits the coaxial plig for the charger and adapts to the Lumia. You'd likeluy have to make one, in which case cutting off the current one and soldering on the right one for Lumia would be easier, assuming you have a soldering iron, and a voltmetter to get the polarity right. That's after you acquire the right plug.
I'd suggest an inverter actually. That's a device that turns your car 12v DC into 110 AC. ( I assume 220 ones exist if that's your normal standard.  Here's a search at Amazon.  Mount something like this in your car and you should be golden, for about anything. You aren't running your girl friend's hair dryer off it, but you could charge your Lumia.
Just a rough rule of thumb. volts times amps equals watts. ( yes, there are power factors, inductance, yadda yadda, but basically...) So the output for the Lumia charger, 20v * 1.5A is about 30 watts. The input to the charger says 100-240v @ 0.65A , so that is 65 to 156 watts. Why the big difference? Well the input is what you need to ensure the source to the charger (the wall outlet) can deliver, so the charger is guaranteed to pull less so you don't run the risk of burning up the source. Typically that is overspec'd for safety. (The say they draw more than they expect so if you meet it you are safe) The output of the charger is what it can safely deliver, underspec'd for safety. That is, if you draw every bit of that, you can't hurt it.  There are some losses in the conversion so what comes out is always less than what goes in. In any case, an inverter that promises 200w is more than enough. I am a little hesitant about the size of the 12v wire on that thing, because to get 200W you'd need to draw 16Amps, and that suggests house wiring wire sizes to me, but hey, what do I know, just a BSEE. So, I wouldn't plug three Lumias into it, but one and a Windows Phone or two on the USB, is reasonable. There are lots of options. I would lean towards the ones with one or two AC outlets and a metal shell. Better for heat dissapation.

  • Lumia 2520 / Keyboard...

I'm in the UK to start with.
So I bought my 2520 tablet in the UK when they first came out. Disappointed that they did not do the cyan colour here (or anywhere?). Also disappointed it took about 6 months before the powerkeyboard was sold (and only in black)
Does anywhere actually sell the red keyboard for anywhere close to what John Lewis sells the black one (£99).
It seems strange that it was marketed against the Air as having the keyboard and never really had one available for months. To me Nokia messed up the launch of this tablet and appear to have given up on it, without supporting it properly with a launch of the accessories.
Has anyone got the white or cyan version? Was the powerkeyboard made available in other places at a reasonable price?

    Hi, Serton.
Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions!
The Nokia Power Keyboard for Lumia 2520 has two colors, black and red. To buy one, go here: http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/accessories/accessory/su-42/. However, availability of color may vary depending on their stocks.
It is also available in some regions where the Lumia 2520 has been released, but we recommend buying it in your region as Nokia does not have an international warranty.
    Good day!
